Parade

This is the only fragrance in my collection that I have honestly considered buying in a 200 ML size, but the cost is around $500 with taxes. Fragrances are already overpriced and the fact it comes from a luxury brand, doesn't help it's case for the price of a simple beautiful scent. That being said, I am looking for a cheaper alternative or a clone that captures the DNA perfectly. The DNA is great—a beautifully executed fresh floral scent with oakmoss that emerges during the dry-down. Unfortunately, it isn't very strong or long-lasting, which is why I ran through my 100 ML bottle so quickly. I can see why some reviews say it leans masculine, but in all honesty, I would call it a unisex scent. Depending on your budget and fragrance preferences, it might not be suitable, or it could be your holy grail. I suggest you sample it and decide for yourself. It has become my daily, and if I could, I would like to always smell like this scent. I love the simple yet luxurious feel of the fragrance An idiot admires complexity; a genius admires simplicity.

I always find the it’s overpriced because it’s a simple scent, argument a bit strange.... Since when does a simple fragrance automatically have to be cheap, and a complex fragrance automatically have to be expensive? You can make a fragrance with 100 notes that smells terrible. Complexity alone doesn’t equal quality. On the flip side, you can have a fragrance with just a handful of notes that are blended beautifully using highquality ingredients, and it ends up smelling incredible. Sometimes restraint takes more skill than throwing everything into the bottle. Every fragrance is overpriced these days anyway, so that’s hardly unique to this one. For me, this was love at first sniff. Wear what smells amazing to you not what has the longest note breakdown lol And one last thing I find funny... if you look at a lot of the people calling this fragrance overhyped or overpriced many of their own favourite fragrances are some of the most hyped fragrances on the market. We all enjoy popular scents when they’re done well.

Celine Parade smells like a summer evening on the French Riviera: linen shirts, Aperol Spritz, cigarette smoke, and a very chic atmosphere. I sprayed Parade on a card in store and wasn't too impressed at first. But when I brought the card home, I kept catching whiffs of it for days. That's when I knew I was completely in love with the scent. It has such a captivating drydown, probably the best of any citrus/neroli fragrance I've smelled. I’m pretty sure there is Ambroxan in the base giving it an airy muskiness that blends beautifully with the slightly earthy oakmoss and powdery orris. I also get a hint of smoky tea in the drydown which makes it quite a relaxing scent to wear. It leaves a lovely silage and lasts forever especially on clothes. Clean and elegant yet cozy and attractive. Someone once said that your fragrance should never enter the room before you, but it should linger after you’re gone. Celine fragrances are the perfect embodiment of that.

This is a fragrance I wasn’t overly impressed with initially, but it’s grown on me and become a favourite. It is very light, but I also find it uplifting. I really like the light, airy citrus and moss combination. This reminds me slightly of Gateaux Des Anges, not because it smells anything like it, but it has a similar airy quality. The dry down of Parade does have a metallic type of note, maybe similar to Valaya but it’s a 100x’s better than that scent imo! I can still smell the citrus notes and I do find this actually lasts quite a while on me. It did create a nice scent bubble that I was able to smell it for a good 6 hours. For me Parade is a beautiful, comforting, elegant, feminine fragrance. It’s the type of scent that makes you feel classy and put together. I can’t wait to wear in spring and summer, although I’ll still wear this all year round though.

This is absolutely beautiful. Out of my price range I saved up for this and I'm so glad I did, it's worth every penny. It's so much more than a typical citrus fresh scent. It smells classy and expensive and quality. It smells like a clean white shirt and sunshine whilst sitting on your expensive yacht. I can see why people vote this a summer scent but I've been wearing it all winter I love it so much. It's not screechy or loud or in your face, it's firm in it's presence but does not shout demanding attention. Sometimes I think it has faded and then I will catch a glorious whiff or it as I go a out my day. If I had to give away my entire collection but could only save one it would be this. It smells so expensive it's so incredibly well blended.

Obsessed. This is so insanely beautiful. The oakmoss is delicate in this composition; it lends a sense of strength to a luxuriously full bodied bergamot neroli accord. I’ve never been much of a fan of citrus in fragrances but Parade hits just right for me. This fragrance is so full of life, so joyful. It’s how I imagine the word delight might smell. A clementine peeled in a dark green forest, a bright spot of orange in the quiet. It’s unexpected in a way, aromatic and refined with an airy earthiness. My only wish is for this fragrance to last just a bit longer on the skin before it ghosts into a bright, mossy musk. Still, it’s an ethereal and absolutely delightful fragrance I’m so glad to add to my rotation.

Parade has a unique, beautiful bergamot opening - zesty, and with the astringent smell of citrus leaves. The heart and base are very green, chalky, and mossy. No sweetness here at all. Soapy and peppery at times. There was also something that felt like pine needles to me somewhere in the heart that I didn't enjoy. Parade is still easily detectable as skin scent after 7 hours, but projection did die down significantly within the first hour. I am not a "perfomance bro" but, yeah, seems like these really do have subdued projection. Parade sticks around as a skin scent in that tenacious, persistent, satisfying way that I expect from good natural-based and/or vintage perfumes. I like it! 4/5

One of the most beautiful and finest perfumes that I enjoyed for the year 2023, a perfume with noble ingredients from, Nyroli, bergamot, vetiver, and oak moss Very beautiful, a fresh brush perfume, at the same time deep and warm, and I feel that there is a tea in the background that looks exactly like bergamot tea, a perfume that I see in summer and a very sweet, elegant and shrub, the brand is classy and all their perfumes for the honesty are beautiful and worth trying 💘😍 I liked it very much and the performance of the perfume is great in terms of stability, I have the second day on clothes and the medium beauty of the smell forgets you performance, very beautiful and worth trying ✨

I have a sample of Celine Parade. I'm in love with this perfume from last summer, however I didn't buy full bottle as they didn't stay on my skin for long. It was just maximum 4 hours and scent was gone, till I used in the autumn 🍁 time and game was changed. I can feel the scent on me for about 8 hours and my friends keep asking me what perfumes I'm wearing. Everyone says it's a summer scent, however it just doesn't work for me in the hot weather. I decided to buy a full bottle, but I will use it in the cold ❄️ 🥶 sezon. I can only suggest if you like perfume, but it's not staying for long time in the particular sezon just wait and try in different time of the year. Might work 🙂

Elegant bergamot and neroli with that powdered Celine base. It has touches of jasmine with a light dusting of orris root and musk. Here the oak moss gives it a little growl and bite. This is the most refined scent in my collection with a nod to the classics in perfumery. I can see a similarity during the dry down of OG Dior Homme. I've only put my nose on Black Tie and Parade from the house of Celine, but this is easily my favorite. *Update This is my most worn fragrance. When I put my nose to it, I pick up mysterious incense note lurking about, giving the wear an aura of light green, white and beige. Chef's kiss for these cool spring mornings

The opening of Parade is a refreshing and light citrus, however the drydown smells very woody/herbal and almost medicinal to me. Unisex scent in theory but I find it leans a bit masculine as there is virtually no sweetness in this. I tend to layer this with a plain vanilla scent to make it more feminine and bring back some sweetness, Kayali‘s Vanilla 28 and Diptyque‘s Eau Duelle seem to work quite well for this - the final product smells absolutely delicious. Unfortunately the staying power is a bit disappointing for such an expensive fragrance, but it does allow for the creation of some pretty unique combos!

Right from the first spray, you feel the raw quality of the ingredients. An intensely bright, solar opening, like a warm morning in a lemon grove. Neroli soon enriches the bergamot accord, maintaining a luminous Mediterranean warmth before settling into a quiet depth of vetiver and oakmoss that grounds the scent without ever weighing it down. Longevity is excellent on my skin, with a moderate projection that invites people in without seeking attention. Picture yourself driving a roadster along the winding roads of the Côte d'Azur toward your yacht, the ocean breeze doing the rest. That’s Parade.

A perfect neroli-centric fragrance. I'm always torn about this sort of thing because on one hand, the price is ridiculous for such a simple neroli and orange blossom scent. On the other hand, I have a really hard time finding subtle, perfectly-judged, high-quality-smelling versions of this kind of thing and I really strive to find and buy the perfect summer tonic that has me spraying and respraying the exact smell of blooming citrus in July in Italy or Southern California or Mallorca or anywhere warm and beautiful. 4 out of 5.

The definition of beauty in simplicity. This one really needs to be worn to be understood. It is not complex or groundbreaking, but it is not basic either. This fragrance is perfectly unisex and so easily wearable which has made it my most reached for. Parade is refined in a quiet way and perfect for work, the gym or easy Sunday mornings. I honestly didn't understand the hype but after getting some wear from a few samples and eventually purchasing a full bottle, Parade has become a fragrance I cannot see myself without.

Fell in LOVE with this scent from the very first time I smelled it. I love clean and fresh musky scents and this one is just stunning. Bright almost sparkling citrus and neroli with a clean musk and an earthy undertone in the base. It’s feminine, elegant and definitely a memorable scent in my opinion. If quiet luxury were a scent, this would be it. Would be a beautiful signature scent but the price is what stops me from wearing it everyday 😅 still need to test longevity but so far, in love 😍

Parade by Celine is everything I love about quiet luxury. Effortless, subtle, but so refined — the kind of elegant composition that proves luxury doesn’t have to be loud to make a statement. I’ve been using it as a mid‐day refresher, and I wore it to bed last night... it was soooooo amazing. Clean without ever going soapy, just that soft mineral-citrus glow that feels like good skin and good taste. I’m obsessed. Why does it have to be this good with that price tag.

I smelled this after Saint-Germain-des-Pres, which is neroli heavy, so what I noticed in the top notes of Parade is the most incredibly bright, juicy bergamot fruit. Really juicy fully-rounded citrus, without a hint of the dreaded from-concentrate staleness, is hard to find these days. The drydown is a sprightly moss-and-vetiver, maybe a smidgen of sweeitsh patchouli. Classic but also modern - an updated Guerlain Vetiver? Anyway, it's gorgeous.

This is a grown-up, modern citrus-floral fragrance. There’s a subtle sweetness that makes it feminine and charming, but not at all extravagant. Love it! Something you could wear all year round, and very well put together. Gives me business woman vibes, like what a 30-something successful corporate girlie with impeccable taste would wear to the office everyday. The only issue here is the longevity, lasted 3-4h hours max on my skin.

****SECOND REVIEW**** I just posted another review and accidentally deleted because i was clicking entirely too fast, but I got another Celine discovery set and I am definitely hooked on this scent, it's a great scent to wear whilst working out as I discovered this morning, the combo of neroli & bergamot shine. I'm changing my "Like" to a "Love". I'll definitely be getting a full bottle of this for the upcoming summer months.

An easygoing, feel-good citrus that wears like a perfectly pressed white shirt and great trousers, effortless but put‐together. It opens with bright, fizzy bergamot and neroli that smells clean, modern, and quietly radiant. As it settles, it dries down to a soft wash of vetiver and oak moss that leans a bit masculine on my skin, but in a way that feels chic and intentional, so I actually love that contrast.

A beautiful springtime choice. Fresh, bright and green with an earthy sincerity and maturity. This is the most refined neroli I’ve tried and I love it! 😍 this would pair perfectly with loosely tousled hair, a crisp white linen shirt and straight blue jeans for a classically Parisian charm. Very unisex. I’m loving these completely nonchalant, unprovocative and clean Parisian vibes. Keep them coming Celine.

is a much more relaxed and fresh version of valaya. definitely leans into the neroli but in such a beautiful way. not headache inducing like valaya as it can be very sharp and too aldehydic. if you like that type of dna you will love this. longevity is pretty good on clothes but on skin it is not long before it comes a skin scent. to me that does not matter because i think this is so good.

I am a fan of Celine fragrances. Parade is not exception. Definatley not a power hitter but quite nuanced. The citrus notes open nicely and great hints of vetiver and musk is perfectly balanced on the dry down. Projection is not pushing the limits but I have certainly had my share of compliments. Longevity sits well with my skin at easily 6+ hours. An excellent unisex fragrance.

Freshly cut neroli blossoms in a vase full of musky bergamot-forward water. Gets woodier on the drydown, but not significantly so. Hot weather only, will definitely need to be reapplied during the day if you want the scent to last. I see the comparison to Neroli Portofino Acqua, but that one's much more floral to my nose from memory, the orange blossom in there is missing here.

The opening of Parade is fresh & invigorating; sparkling neroli and green nuances. As the fragrance dries down I get a touch of smoky vetiver and mild sweetness. Parade almost smells like a tea fragrance, it’s comforting yet invigorating. I’ve tried many neroli fragrances over the years, the vetiver within the dry down of Parade sets this one apart - it’s just right.

This is pretty great. It’s fresh, citrusy, with a noticeable (but smooth) vetiver note. Pretty good longevity. Pretty unisex with maybe a bit of a masculine lean. I think this could be worn year round. About 4 sprays because it’s not a beast, but it lasts. 2 on the neck and 2 on the chest. The spa comment below me is spot on. Very fresh and rejuvenating.

I am always a vanilla/musky/woody girl. But THIS. wow. wow, wow, wow. HOWEVER - it goes so damn fast. I spray, and I feel like it's off my skin almost immediately. Maybe 2 hours max. I've read the reviews about that before I purchased, but I still had to add it to my collection. If they made this stronger it would be a signature scent.

So beautiful and refined! On my skin, it pulls very much Vetiver and citruses... And it veers on the masculine side but it’s not obnoxious at all. This is a very sophisticated and timeless beauty. I will eventually get this and I know it would smell amazing on my husband or my son!!!

The smell of refinement and saying, "I'll take two, please," without looking at the price tag. Update 1/9/25: If you're sensitive to deep citruses, careful to not overspray. Go light. It can go from elegant to overwhelming with just one too many of a spray.

This fragrance has a chokehold on me I’ve gone through a couple of samples of Parade. Imagine bergamot 22 with its own twist from Celine. Good projection, Fresh with a touch of citrus sweetness On my list to pick up along with Eau de Californie. 8.6/10

On the initial spray, I just get a metallic scent. Not enjoyable. As it dries down I sense the bergamot and neroli but there’s still this metallic vibe going on. I’m yet to find a single Celine scent I actually like. I guess this house isn’t for me.

@sam.newman Parade was not initially launched in Australia and apparently it had something to do with the name Parade. Whatever the issue was, it has been resolved and Parade is now available in Australia. Mine arrived today and it smells sublime.

One of the best old money smells ever but it doesn't project. I wish this wasn't an intimate scent, but I do love sniffing it on myself throughout the day. I wasn't crazy about it until I smelled the dry down

Although not as woody, to my nose it has a very similar musky wibe as Le Labo's Another 13 + a neroli accent. Very pleasant. Would classify it as unisex also, there is nothing sweet in it.

Smells clean in the absolute most expensive way. Gorgeous and subtle. Definitely unisex, but I would love to catch a whisper of this on a man.

Nuclear strength neroli. Like, the neroli in this is as strong as the orange blossom in Beach Hut Man. So be careful with the sprays!

Its another level of Clean,green vanilla,lightly citrus, clean wood that is in the borderline of being sultry & smells super refined.

Frederic Malle Cologne Indelibile is too musky, Bigarade Concentree is too spicy and too cumin. Parade is just perfect!

Beautiful fresh citrusy floral scent. Very light and versatile in the summer. Can be dressed up or down.

Okay so this perfume represents the golden ratio of EDC, the absolute perfect proportions of fruity, floral, woody, mossy and musky, in so much as you could say they cancel each other out, creating an effect that is to most people, lacking originality and spark. Well, here's why they're wrong. Hahah...so I just made someone up, so I can argue with them about a perfume, as good as it is...I can't defend too vehemently because it's just a citrus, white floral trope and not much else at the end of the day. For arguments sake though... you can say that about MANY fragrances, it's the execution which is important here. I don't really like overly waxy white florals....this isn't. I love that sense of reality and naturalism you get with good bergamot oil, this has that effect. There's a moment of moss, a wee clump as it settles, never reaching the point of an eau sauvage or anything but just reassuringly, classic. I can smell the signature rounded, iris/orris/vanillic/woody base, juuust peaking through and then even later, vetiver!!!! Yes even that rears it's head later on. It has a musky, carrying base materials which are ambrox/type but doesn't overstep it's bounds into modern, cheap, shite. I love what this perfume does, a balancing act. That's what good perfumery is and the clarity of this one is apparent, Parade has real intent and it delivers. If you were to buy any of these perfumes retail, I couldn't critisise you for it, you'd be geting a great perfume, if you know where to get better for cheaper then that's fine too, but I'm okay. I'm okay with Celine. They've done nothing to annoy me so far and everything to be happy with, they are a class act.

I have been looking forward to opening my Celine discovery set. As one of my favourite fashion houses, I was keen to see how its pared-back elegance would translate to a new haute parfumerie collection. The bottle design is fittingly sleek, and I was impressed that Celine offers a discovery set at all - no other comparable line does to my knowledge. Parade is the first scent I reached for, and while it is nothing groundbreaking, it is truly lovely. An aromatic citrus cologne, it is nuanced and nicely-balanced - there is no sharpness here. It is neroli-dominant, its soft, orangy floral coming up nicely green. Soft, woody vetiver complements it nicely, its aromatic grassiness marrying beautifully with the neroli. Smooth and high-quality, there is no astringent quality to the vetiver here. Parade becomes softly mossy as it develops, the oakmoss note subtly emerging, a seamless progression that gives a light chypre quality to the base. Clean musk keeps things soft and rounded throughout, its floral sweetness reminiscent of ambrette. It fades to a musky, mossy skin scent, featherlight and aromatic until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate at a push. It is a unisex spring/summer cologne. An effortlessly elegant cologne that is classic in style, Parade is expensive but seriously refined. I suspect colognes will be Celine's strong suit, a fitting accompaniment to Hedi Slimane's sharp tailoring. Breezy French nonchalance, bottled. 4/5.
