Om

This is supposed to be a meditative mind cleansing frankincense and oud perfume and that's exactly what you get. A couple of different Thai ouds were used and I'm no expert but it's not the floral oud you might expect from the region. It's more earthy with a touch of sweetness. What sets this apart from other oud fragrances is the use of spikenard and ginger which really kind of give Om its signature character to me. Spikenard is a slightly odd herbal note and has ties to the past and makes perfect sense using it here. Ginger gives it this bite (along with pink pepper) that helps it really get up into my nostrils and deep into my brain. And I think that's what this fragrance was meant to do. Blast you right from the from the start and totally reset your mood. Not because it's dark and brooding, which it is not. But because it's like a medicine for the soul. Of course there is also white ambergris in here because that is one of the perfumers signature notes he likes to use. I happen to love real ambergris. Very happy to have bought this one and see myself wearing it often.

Got this recently in a swap. Heavy fruity profile thai oud over clean and smokey frankincense. I have lots of Thai oils in my collection and this is a perfect use of it in a fragrance almost like Trat having that sour and red berry smell to my nose maybe hints of citrus. I don't get any barnyard like people mention below even in the slightest. The animalics from the civet and white ambergris really lift this up. The pink pepper and ginger give a nice effervescence before heading into darker territory. The frankincense though smokey is still very clean and smells almost like your burning some oud with some frankincense on top. The other notes are blended so well I can't discern them though I do get little bits of the juniper. A pleasant surprise and olfactory delight makes me want to try more of the house. If you wanna smell like a mid century cathedral with some heady notes, this is it. Really unique and welcome addition to my collection.

Opens sharp and a bit astringent. A beautiful oud right away with facets of sharp clean cedar, mixed spices, a small touch of something herbal and sweet, and fresh frankincense. It slowly settles into a patchouli + resionus amber + oud frame with some sparking musk humming below and a tart-sweet berry/plum fruitiness. The incense accord keeps things airy. This base feels very close to Amouage's Jubilation XXV (and to a lesser extent Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir), but stickier, less airy, woodier, and a bit more resinous. I don't detect the beautiful huge ISO E super lift the Amouage seems to have. This is slightly softer, rougher around the edges, and longer-lasting. Love it!

I sampled this when it first came out and I really liked it, but I did think it was very masculine. Very earthy, smoky, herbal, dry spicy and lots of barnyard oud. This is also very strong, and you only need a little to go a long way and it lasts. If you like very natural fragrances w/ animalic oud, smoke, and dried herbs this is a good buy. I gave my sample to my brother, and he really enjoyed it. He was recovering from COVID at the time and lost his sense of smell for a few months. This was one of the natural perfumes I gave him to wake up his nose and it helped. Over time it came back, and he was impressed at how strong this was and said he got a lot of wear out of the sample I gave him.

A beautiful smoldering scent of frankincense, with a tenacious luscious red fruit oud, opens spikenard leathery, crisp and peppery ginger and takes flight with balsamic whiffs of juniper, lavender, chamomile, and fresh marine ones of ambergris. Sweet resinous, spicy, dense fruity, with an exciting floral side of lavender and addictive throughout the evolution and drydown. Well done!

A loud, offensive oud to my nose. Ooooh, buddy. This is not for me. Not for me at all.

Testing my way through this collection. Om opens with a blast of alcohol and red berries that then settles to a funky, smoky, patchouli and oud scent. Like taking a shot of raspberry schnapps while perusing a small animal petting zoo where they like to burn incense. This is the first scent where I’ve really got that barnyard feel to it. Not my cup of tea

Centauri's website blurb on 'Om' promises mysticism to us. To me this smells more of a heretic than a mystic. There's no mystery to Om, yet it goes completely against the current on how a perfume ought to smell, what constitutes a good scent, and how a fragrance is constructed. Apart of Patchouli, Juniper Berry and Frankincense, I'm not familiar with the kind of things I'm smelling in here. Oud? Maybe some variant of it, I do detect some skankiness and a lot of woodiness. There isn't a shred of sweetness here, and likely no Citrus even in its opening. I smell decay, rot, sharp green-ness, something oily and cypriol-like. Some parts of Om remind me of some parts of Chypre Mousse and Sloth, a kind of stench invariably found in forest undergrowth: decomposing carcasses, fossils, decay.. all this captured and clad with a lean wisp of smoke. Everyone loves trekking and exploring terra incognita as long as it's within Civilization's reach. 'Om' is the place in nature that few people venture into, and fewer choose to remain. It invokes contentment through asceticism that's tough to attain and tougher to maintain. To laymen it might smell dirty but it isn't that really.. it just is, what it is. Like nature. Hats off to centauri for bomb power, every one i've tried so far has been super potent - a tiny spray will fill up the room. Often they are earthy, thick, woody, sweet, so far pretty much feel like all the perfumes share a similar DNA - but of the earthy, masculine nature. In quality I'd compare it to Baruti as that has the same potency but the genre and overall style is different. I can't get behind these as they are far too masculine and herbal topically, but big respect for the fact that it's so so uniquely potent. This one is very dry woodsy, earthy, herbal, even a little smoky. I wouldn't say barnyard oud if anyone has smelled cambodian oud and the like this is a mere tame baby tiger in comparison. Maybe thai oud is less barny - you can smell oud but it feels more like a staler, drier driftwood combined with the oudy wood. Edit: main accord amber?where? there's no amber here. maybe some slightly churchy incense resin - ah yes the olibanum.

There is no barnyard Oud to my nose This is resinous green slightly spicy and sits softly but nicely on the skin. Do not be tempted to overspray though.

Wow. Super unique. Spicy, but in a fresh way. Not sweet at all, which is always a plus.
