Birthday Cake

Birthday Cake really surprised me, it’s not your typical overly sweet gourmand. From the first spray, I get this warm, inviting vanilla that instantly reminds me of walking into an Italian pasticceria. It’s rich but never cloying and that’s what makes it special. As it settles, the buttery vanilla softens into something creamy, almost like whipped cream, layered with subtle balsamic and powdery undertones. It feels refined and grown-up while still keeping that joyful “birthday cake” vibe. Honestly, it’s nostalgic yet modern at the same time. Performance-wise, it projects moderately and lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin. The drydown is absolute heavenly, a sweet vanilla aura that lingers and smells out of this world (I’m not exaggerating!). Although leaning to feminine at the opening, it’s completely gender-neutral and gets compliments from anyone who catches a whiff. Plus, the packaging is adorable and adds to the playful yet elegant character of the scent. I’m really glad to have this in my collection; it’s a gourmand done right. A backup bottle?.... maybe.

This perfume is an absolute work of art. It brought tears to my eyes. I am not easily moved to tears either. I closed my eyes and brought the scent strip up to my nose, I was transported to my 6th birthday. I was at my grandmother's house, sitting before a towering French vanilla buttercream birthday cake with sprinkles.I can smell the warm, buttery vanilla cake in the air, a wisp of spun sugar, vanilla beans, and I can nearly taste the sweet vanilla butter cream on my tongue. This perfume feels like a warm hug from my grandmother as a child. I have one 100ml bottle l, and as soon as I can, I will get a back up bottle. I have a number of other scents from the line on the way also. This house doesn't make perfume, they create art dripping with nostalgia.

This blasts out of the bottle as lemon buttercream icing. Immediately flipping the box over I scanned for the ingredient list: There are four ingredients that give it lemony citrus scent. (citral, geraniol, hydroxicitronello, & limonene.) I think if they gave it a mention in the scent profile, it would be even better loved. The final ingredient is linalool. ..."a potential sedative qualities when inhaled, linalool can help promote relaxation and enhance sleep quality." Those whacky Italians! I'm happy I bought a backup bottle.

This is the best interpretation of a birthday cake I've smelled. I don't get a whole lot of the cake part from it though. The focus is the decadent, rich and sugary butercream frosting. I also detect a hint of melted candle. Its so good!

This is an absolutely perfect scent... It smells just like the icing rosettes in a frosted birthday sheet cake with icing roses all over it
