Chiffon Cake

I love it and brought a full bottle! A compliment getter and smells delicious. It reminds of a homemade coconut cake, sweet flakes and creamy frosting with a rich butter cake! I do think I will grow to like this even more. For now I have a decant, but, I may need a full bottle eventually lol edited for update.

If you did not list butter as a note, I would not have guessed it as a prominent mid note as I don't detect it. I get sweet lemon cake from this with the classic Nell’Acqua vanilla base ♡

The initial spray of this is aggressively buttery. It's hard not to let my mind immediately go to movie theater popcorn 'butter' - it does calm down during the dry down, but overall, the scent maintains a salty butteriness that I don't really find appealing to wear. This is a sweet and salty gourmand vanilla scent with a big dose of fatty butter. Uncomplicated. I've seen this noted as a perfume alternative to B&BW Milk Bar Birthday Cake body spray, but this is not as sweet and is much saltier. I could see them being good together, however, to balance each other out. It's just fine; I won't be keeping my travel size.

This is a nice vanilla scent to layer with but it is not my favorite from the house and definitely nothing ground breaking. It is a delicate, subtle vanilla, slightly sweet but not cloyingly so, with powdered sugar dusted on top. You really get the butter on initial spray, it smelled like straight up buttery popcorn but luckily that dissipates on dry down and you are left with a light, airy, vanilla.

I got a sample of this and from the notes I was really excited. When I sprayed it on my skin I had to double check that it was the right one. It was just sugar, pure sugar on the skin and not in a good way. I scrubbed this off. Luckily I only did one spray. I should give it another go and let it dry down but it is not calling to me at all.
