Latte e Cacao

When I first saw the listed notes, I expected an intensely chocolatey gourmand fragrance. However, on the initial spray, Latte e Cacao reveals itself as a distinctly lactonic cocoa scent, perfectly reflecting the two notes highlighted on Amyris’ website and Fragrantica. It smells like having a pure coca powder drink with milk, unsweetened with no sugar or honey added. Its projection is moderate, less pronounced than some of its siblings. A touch of vanilla, chocolate, tonka or musk could potentially enhance its reach. Still, thanks to its 44% oil concentration, it remains a close-to-skin scent that lingers for quite some time, much like other Cerchi creations. I wouldn’t consider this a blind-buy safe option, as some might interpret its aroma as reminiscent of baby’s vomit - I'm dead serious and not kidding!. Personally, I find it quite unisex since it isn’t overly sweet. This may be best layering it with other gourmand fragrances rather than by itself as that 'baby vomit' drydown stays on after 3-4 hours. Overall, I’m happy to have it in my collection for special occasions and for when the cooler season returns.
