This almost like Lacoste's Hot Play-for girls :-). Actually, after reading up on it and finding it in a TJX store, my Mom bought it for herself as it is very similar to Hot Play with a little more floral feel and a 'cooler' vibe in general... This begins with grapefruit and a fresh cracked pepper note, clean but spicy. The mint in the heart is more of a smooth cool spearmint than a cold sharp peppermint; and the gentian flower is softly present adding an air of femininity, but not overpowering the scent. There is a slight metallic vibe here, more of a lite sheen. The finish has birch/leather, but it is more like a teaberry/suede, than a really heavy smoky leather, and it works well with the other notes. The cedar is nice and the amber is not too heavy either, and makes this settle nicely on the skin. If you can get past the slight floral in the heart, this could totally be worn by a man as easily as a woman. In fact-when my HP was running low, I would wear this; though Mom insisted it was too feminine for me, I found it quite nice. Sillage: average Longevity: good Overall: 3.75/5 This scent is different from most "female" citrus aromatics, the citrus is clear, and there are no other fruits to muddy its clarity. The single floral note of gentian is very nice, and the addition of pepper and mint along with leather, amber and cedar would seem almost too "butch" but here are subtle and pleasing. This comes very close to being unisex-but after this last evaluation, I should say it is more of a slightly masculine feminine scent than a true uni. 'Image' is a very good name for this, as it gives an image of a soft but strong woman: sharp and cool, with a spicy side and very serious yet sensual foundation.

WOW! this is such a hidden gem, I also see that it was discontinued and then relaunched which probably would explain a lot. I recieved a bottle of this today for my birthday and I'm absolutely in love with it, its very summery, fresh, clean, youthful, a bit sporty and it also smells like the early 2000's (not saying it smells dated, but it does remind me of fragrances that were released during that time). The bottle is unusual, it reminds me a bit of a lighter and I like the overall simple, elegant but minimal style, it matches the simplicity of the scent inside it. Image opens up bright; grapefruit and green notes mingle and then settle down with mint and some light woodiness, I also smell something a little bit smokey in the background, I see that Cerruti say it has a mineral carbon accord which may be what I can smell but it adds some intrigue and makes this already fresh and unique scent even more unusual. Good longevity of about 6 hours and a nice moderate silage, it'll gather compliments but wont offend sensitive noses. Its perfect for spring and summer, its also very unisex as well, office friendly and a safe blind buy if you like fresh, citrussy scents. Future repurchase!

Sophistication plus. I have this wonderful, unique fragrance tucked away. I paid a pittance for a new flacon a few years back and to be honest I am so glad I did.. This is a long lived citrusy fragrance that goes the distance. It's crisp fragrance bespoken of clean tailored natural and timeless classic couture with the perfect coiffret, it's a fair fragrance, simplicity uncomplicated no fuss perfume. The closest reminder is the original XS by Paco Rabanne, though this fragrance is lighter it has that vibe. The woods brings this a subtle balance and none of the notes seems to overpower the other except the effervescent citrus. If you are fortunate to find a flacon of this, snap it up, by all means lovers of these fragrances won't be disappointed. That's my opinion. This adds some real class to my wardrobe of fragrances. I also see this as unisex too, though by no means overly masculine. A liberal spray lasts all day well into night, perfect for a long hot summer. If I had to choose a travelling fragrance wardrobe all over again. This would be first choice, however I would be afraid some thief might steal this...That's how good this fragrance is...

I bought this a very long time ago when I knew next to nothing about perfumes. I was stuck at a railway station because there was a tree down on the line so as I couldn't get to work, I decided to go shopping. I was asked which genre of perfume I preferred and the first the saleswoman said was 'green'. Pretending I knew what I was talking about, I said 'green, yes'. In reality, I'm a floral/oriental/powdery gal. This was presented to me and whilst I wasn't that impressed with it, I bought a 30ml bottle, mainly to save face. I used it every day to use it up. Suddenly, one day, something clicked and from then on, I loved it. I bought a 75ml bottle and now keep it for days when I want something completely different. On a hot day, especially, this holds up brilliantly well and stays true to it's roots when other perfumes can change and fade. In winter, I wear it to remind me of hot summer days. It's a fresh gin and tonic that you wear and imagine walking through a forest after the rain has stopped, and feeling like there's nowhere else on earth you'd rather be in that moment.

Very underrated scent. Perfect for summer, inexpensive, long lasting, citrus lemon fragrance without room freshener feeling. As others said - staying long on clothes and makes a hot day very fresh. I tried it with crisp white smart shirt, tried with trainers and t-shirt for jogging, tried on a summer night, and all I can say - it just fits the moment. If you are a fan of lemon, freshness and lemonade - get this one. I can't detect any leather notes, and to me it's quite confusing because I wouldn't imagine any leather scent for a hot weather, but Image is very surprising. It's always in my drawer and I use it when I feel I need to wake up and stay fresh all day. I layered it with Givenchy Pour Homme and it gives me beautiful feeling , my lovely lavender and olibanum with lemon. bitter, fresh lemon :)

Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous fragrance. While it's light, fresh and natural smelling, two sprays of it at once can make it a bit overwhelming. Now what does it smell like? The most modern, natural, clean, fresh, soft, subtle scent. A cold glass of water with some mint leaves and a tiny drop of grapefruit juice, enjoyed while you are in a modern hotel lobby, furnished with some unfinished wood and natural tanned leather chairs. It's perfect at any age, perfect to the office, perfect on a casual day. It actually reminds me a lot of No 5 l'Eau in terms of the vibe and when I would wear it. This one is less sweet/floral and doesn't sparkle, though. Sometimes it can smell a bit like a 'fresh' liquid transparent handsoap, but that is okay with me.

It was my mum's signature scent back in 2002. I used to sneak into her room and sniff this beauty frequently. Then it was somewhat discontinued, and we couldn't find it anywhere, but now it has made a comeback. However, I feel like they've diluted or changed the formula of this fragrance. This scent is unique and fresh, not leathery – at least not in a dark sense like other modern leather perfumes. It exudes an incredibly fresh vibe, though not citrusy. Instead, it's more reminiscent of birch and mint, with a touch of light, green-flower freshness. I've already repurchased it twice for my mum and once for myself. It's a beautiful fragrance that definitely garners compliments!

When I was a young college student in the early 1990’s, I fell in deep love with Alexander Julian’ s Womenswear. Not burdened by medical bills and other gown up financial obligations, I bought and wore it many times. Silly as it may sound, I felt beautiful when I wore it and sad when it was discontinued. I’ve searched for it many times and now it seems I’ve found something as similar as I can find. The best description I can use is that it’s a fresh leather scent but more complex than that. It reminds me a bit of Omnia crystalline in that it just smells classy and not too over the top for office wear. Clean without overwhelming silage. A skin scent for me.

I am a man, and although some give this a unisex label, I agree to a certain extent, but this does sway closer to the feminine end of unisex. Saying that, I wear this, and to me, this is beautiful. The amber and leather notes take centre stage on my skin but there is this feminine edge (flowery? powdery?) which I get that gives it a beautifully rounded smell. This reminds me a little bit of Versace the Dreamer, a personal favourite of mine. On my skin, this juice has beastly longevity along with major sillage and projection, just like I get with Versace the Dreamer. This fragrance needs more love than it gets, definitely a keeper in my collection.

The opening reminds me pretty much of CK One on my skin, but after a few minutes both are different. CK One changes into something dry and disappears quickly, but Image stays fresh like a rainforrest with a hint of leather. It does not have the best lasting power, but it is pretty well for a spring/summer perfume. It lasts about 7 hours on my skin and even more on the clothes. It is one of my favourite perfumes, maybe even the best one acording to me. It is simple, fresh, unique and surprisingly feminine(although there are not any flowers listed)

Α great combination of citric notes and spicy notes. On my skin comes first the grapefruit,then dances with pepper on a lovely base of cedar,all the way long. The result is a unisex,extremely fresh but not with a barber shop cologne effect.I always loved it and got it from a wonderful swap-I can't tell you how happy I am! Today we have 40oC-you can imagine what was my first pick for a fresh,clean,cool,elegant and long lasting perfume saving my senses from the heat!

I keep coming back to this scent and keep getting surprised by how absolutely gorgeous it is. I only use one spray; more than one and I end up smelling like a fresh breeze hand soap. But with just one spray it is the most natural, beautiful mixture of leather, something floral that isn't sweet at all, something green and fresh... It smells like my skin but better, without any musk (I hate musk). Absolutely love it and for the price it can't be beat.

How I love this perfume. I love the dry citrus over the smoky woody base; it's like getting the best of both worlds, fresh and dark. It's also sexy in a fresh, bracing way. It reminds me of a good dry wine with citrusy overtones. Many compliments for me with this one, usually preceded by the following question, intoned with wide-eyed intensity: "What ARE YOU WEARING?" It's a stockpiler for sure.

The most successful blind buy ever !! Reminds me so much of the discontinued Freedom by Tommy Hilfeger, but way more wearable ... Clean freshness that doesn’t smell cheap ... I would definitely be surprised if anyone found this headache inducing or irritating. By far the perfect summer scent... I am restocking as I am so glad I found finally a replacement for beloved Freedom !!

Blind cheap buy, good to use after early morning shower and go for jogging, then take shower and use something else :) Not working on my skin, I just feel citruses and I can have this kind of perfumes for 2-3 pounds, so nothing special, but not very bad. I like the bottle, it's very handy. It's pity that I cannot say anything very good about the fragrance.

I recently went through a bottle of Versace Versense and this is very similar to that fragrance. It should be in the fragrance that Reminds Me list. This is a lovely fresh fragrance and very unisex in my opinion. Don't really get much of the leather note but it is very easy to wear and great for the summer. Much more affordable than the Versace scent.

Aromatic citrus and green - and not a single flower to be seen! I think it is unisex but may lean feminine depending on how it settles on your skin. I'm in love with it. I bought it because of the spray mechanism and will repurchase again if I ever run out.

One of my favourite scents. The combination of grapefruit, mint and invigorating pepper on top of smooth leather and birch gives a fresh green scent with a deeper rich undertone and ever so slight sweetness. Sillage and longevity both 8/10.

Slightly tangy, sweet and fresh citrus and mint on an amber and aromatic woody base. It's very nice! Definitely a daytime scent but I would wear it all year round anytime I need a pick-me-up. A winner for me!

Had a bottle when I was in my 20s, living in London. I'd love a bottle of it now to transport me back :)

It is a very good fragrance if you're fed up with being a girly girl and tired with stereotypized, overloaded with sweetness, obligatorily sexy women's scents but still want to smell good. It's quite sharp but in a nice, balanced way (it has a similar slightly sharp note to L'eau par Kenzo, I don't know what it is but makes me think of carbon) but still unobtrusive and refreshing. For me the biggest advantage is a very, very delicate, hardly detectable leather note - I like leather but normally it's too much and too overwhelming for me - and here it's just a perfect dose to give it some edge and lordly touch and make it more than just a fresh scent like 100 others. The biggest con is that it has some top note that reminds me a detergent. But it's bearable for all other virtues' sake. The lasting power is not so great, but not so horrible either (c.a. 3 hours on my skin), especially for this magnificent price. Sillage seems to be poor on me although I remember smelling it on a couple of people out there. I admit I wish somebody pumped it up a bit. On the other hand it is completely discrete, which is good.

This smells like birch wood with a bit of citrus and a lot of pepper. The mint isn't particularly prominent, but it does a great job of making the scent smell fresh and clean. I do agree, it's quite a masculine smell but I enjoy it for being a softer take on "pine fresh aromatics". I'm a man , so this scent is easy enough for me to pull off, and I like it quite a bit. It smells like someone took 1881 for men, and tried to soften it up. Image for men is ironically the more feminine of the two scents; I wonder if they put the wrong juice in the bottles around launch and ran with it. This scent combines two things I tend not to enjoy (woody scents and masculine aromatics) , and creates a scent I definitely enjoy. I'm likely to use this quite a bit over the summer when I want a scent that isn't as outright feminine as some of the perfumes I'm lucky enough to own. Pretty good for the price. It retails for £15-20 usually, but I got mine for £9.99

Cerruti IMAGE WOMAN is definitely misnamed. This is a completely universal fragrance which may even be a tad more masculine than feminine. Flowers and sweetness, often considered characteristically feminine components, are nowhere to be sniffed in this composition! Instead IMAGE (WO)MAN opens smoothly with a mélange of subdued aromatic notes, including citrus rind and pepper, suspended in what I register as a clean, lightly resinous and musky base. The fragrance develops over the course of several minutes into a tender leather fragrance with just a touch of wood (not sandalwood...), still suspended in what seems to be clean musk. Good longevity and low sillage. I like this high quality, subtle composition very much and recommend it to anyone who appreciates gentle leather fragrances. This may be one of the best bargains around, judging by other reviewers' remarks. If I see a bottle of this somewhere, I'll definitely snap it up!

I bought Cerutti Image Woman after only being exposed to the top note. Not such a good idea. The invigorating pepper and grapefruit notes only last a short while, and an hour into wear it has transformed into a heavy, spicy, woody fragrance. I could see how this could appeal to some people. The note of leather is nice, but the wood and the amber I find to be overdone. Notice I didn't mention the mid notes, and that is simply because they didn't develop. I think if those notes would have lingered and gave way gently to the heavier base notes, this might have been nice for late fall and winter. I paid only $10 for a 1.7 oz bottle at TJX so I'm not completely let down. But I think I'll give this to my husband. It smells way more masculine than feminine. It's not a bad fragrance, actually if you are into the heavier perfume you'll enjoy it; this one is just not for me.

The best blind buy ever! Can't praise it enough. I usually don't like mint or citrus, and find leather scents bit "sweaty". But here they all blend in a perfect harmony. Leather is subtle, grapefruit is fragrant, cedar and amber are warm. And pepper - star of the show - is just sensational. Scent is at it best after about 2 hours of application and for another 10 hours. Lasting power is superb. I sprayed it in the morning, wore that t-shirt all day and went to sleep in it because I could not say goodbye to my new love. And in the morning it still smelled! Even in more beautiful, sensually aromatic way. Unlike most, I like to wear such scents in winter. It plays well with it's coolness. So happy I found it! I remember liking 1881 Intense on my future husband, that said I need to look closer at Cerruti perfumes now.

A fresh leathery aromatic, subtle and unforgettable. It inspires indeed spontaneity and cheerfulness especially when used after a shower in the morning. A good example of how wonderful a fragrance for women could be, without making use of tones of sandalwood, vanilla, sweet flowers, and so on. I normally prefer Lacoste pour Femme, but this is a fine alternative. The only problem is its lasting-power, which is rather poor on my skin. I use to wear it more in winter and springtime, than in summer, since it stays longer on my skin in those seasons. I'm not usually obeying the "rule" which suggests that "warm spicy orientals" are to be worn in winter and fresh-fruity or acquatic-florals only in summer. This can be a good choice also for colder days, if you don't care about that "rule". 4/5

Cerruti Image isn't my favorite fragrance and what's more, it's far from my favorite category. However, it's unique and rare because there aren't any floral notes here. I bought this scent 4 years ago and today, I decided to try it again. I've never really liked it, and I used it only when I was on holidays, after a shower, going to dinner after sunbathing on the hot and sandy beach. Nowdays, I rediscover it. Strong lemon seasoned with spicy pepper and green and refreshing mint! Summer mix of frosty lemonade with a bit of amber warmth and cedar bitterness. Over time, the smell becomes less spicy and juicy, but more elegant, balanced and warmer. Today, I can say this's the fragrance to which I had to mature to appreciate its originality resulting from the lack of flowers and sweetness.

Citrus and Green notes are the notes that I can smell the most. For me this is a unisex fragrance that follows the CK One (all citrusy notes) example. Not my style. I would prefer it to a man. Well even love it. But there was a period in my life that I was going all out for unisex scents (and even masculine), but now I am totally against those kinds of notes. But it is not a bad perfume, so I don't want to put it as dislike. It is just that it is not my style anymore. If you are into strong citrus with a unisex scent go for it. It is discontinued so it will be difficult to find it after a while. Edit: After trying this at a warmer day, the notes of birch became apparent and I have to say that I like it more on a warmer weather. I will give it a try.

Fresh, watery scent like a splash of cold water in the morning. Beautiful balance of ingredients of the school that makes it hard to discern the notes. The top is citrusy, without any being obvious, the closest it is to grapefruit flesh. Green notes appear afterwards and they smell like dewy grass. A hint of black pepper, also barely there, makes you alert. I feel birch, too and that phase it shares with DKNY Women. It is watery-woody later on. Mint is also very pale here. Perfect for spring and summer daywear. Rather intimate sillage after 2 hours. Gets positive reaction from males. Fit for professional life. But it is not the most long lasting scent. 6 hours max and it is gone. My husband says it is strong on me at 7 hours mark..

Crisp, fresh, invigorating, vibrant, and juicy, the first moments of Image almost monumentally burst with citrus and green vegetation. On my skin the scent soon becomes clean - lemoney soap comes to my mind - and later also sweetly minty with a touch of light, almost transparent woods and roots. I guess it is in a way modern - indeed - and androgynous, (as TankGirl mentiones), rather than unisex. Unfortunatelly less than half an hour later, the fragrance is so subtle and discreet on me, that I have to press my nose onto my wrist to smell it. Nevertheless, I am enjoying the clean, lightly aromatic sweetness of the skin as the scent is rather faint, yet somehow surprisingly innocently naughty. :-)

My dad gave this to me back when it was brand new on the market. He bought it in an airport duty-free shop I think as last minute gift to me. I imagine that this was recommended because he told them I was around 22 and aspired to be considered urbane. The words to describe it were “citrus & leather”, which I found daring. I loved it! It’s not romantic, but it is sexy like a summertime day date. Recently I was scrolling through Overstock and was geeked to find this. It’s not at all for winter, and probably best for the peak of summer. If you want a very unisex, not remotely sweet, bright perfume, this is an amazing cheapie. Amazing.

I’ve never ever fancied that I can enjoy a citrus scent. And here I am wearing Cerruti Image and finding it absolutely adorable from beginning to end. Pepper at the top notes, mint at the heart and leather and amber in the base are the components that save the fragrance from becoming a mediocre citric concoction. Cerruti Image is heady, crisp and very invigorative at the beginning. Then it gets warmer, earthier and more sensual. At this phase, one may think this is not a fragrance, but one’s natural skin scent. Beautiful, unostentatious, easy to like and to wear. This summer I reach for it quite often.

I acquired this scent, I believe through a blind swap, back when I was first on the lookout for interesting leather scents. And interesting, this is. It's a blast if green freshness. The citrus is almost imperceptable. The mint is JUST present enough to really make it light and fresh with all the pepper and leather. It's a really interesting and unique scent, and one I'm enjoying a lot in this hot Haitian weather. But it certainly falls on the masculine side more than the feminine side. Not that I mind.

To my big surprise it smells gorgeously! Much more expensive than it actually is. A very underrated scent. Reminds me Versense of Versace. A slightly bitter citrus vibe, refreshing but still deliciously calming, uplifting and inspiring fragrance. I don't get much mint or leather (which is good), but I can clearly smell a juicy grapefruit (fruit and peel), some nice, fresh, aromatic pepper and an excellent mixture of wood notes. A transparent, adult,feminine veil.

I had a sample back when it was discontinued and I've been searching for this fragrance for at least five years. Now it's back on the market and I finally got myself a full bottle. Unfortunately, this isn't suitable for cold weather as it tends to be annihilated and it seems to me that's not the proper time to get the best of it. Smells clean, refreshing, very elegant and feminine, safe for everyday wear. It will surely become a choice for summer.

I don't understand how scents like D & G Light Blue are top of the fragrance bestsellers and this gets let behind. This is a fantastic example of the herbal/aquatic/citrus in the vein of CK One but more feminine and sensual, like rain on a spring morning or a Gin & Tonic with a slice of lime. I work as a RN and have been looking for a nice scent for work and this fits the bill perfectly. The price also cannot be beaten!

I bought Image without any great expectations....just something to wear to the gym for a change. I have quite a few citrusy fragrances for sports, but I never thought that a citrusy fragrance could smell so elegant and feminine until I tried Cerutti Image. I was really impressed with this little gem...citrus with subtle leathery and woodsy notes are just amazing! One of the best blind purchases I ever made!

This is a very androginous scent, modern, peppery and fresh. The top notes of grapefruit are not my type, but after a while this scent becomes a very good leather, with a lot of pepper and mint. A great perfume for office, reminds me a little bit of Hugo Boss Woman. If you are looking for a cheap office fragrance that goes with a modern suit, this is the one. Image Woman is a very fresh and easy to wear fragrance. It opens up spicy and immediately I can smell leather. For me it's all about the leather, it's the main note I get while I'm wearing this.I get the feeling like I'm walking through the forest on the spring morning. Very refreshing. My only wish is that it could last a little bit longer.

Just got this and I ADORE it. I cannot believe this isn't more well known. I agree that this is very similar to Ormande Jayne's Champaca, with the same musky almost smokey base and a greener opening. I plan to huff this allllll summer. This is not a dupe for Versense, but there is something very reminiscent in the drydown.

Blind buy based on reviews here. If I sniff top notes too long/deeply, it reminds me of vomit (must be the acidic grapefruit). BUT the drydown is heavenly. So smooth. I get a lot of well-balanced elegant leather. It's a keeper, despite the scary first few minutes.

This is fresh, unisex and perfect for hot days. I'm usually not a big fan of unisex scents but this one is really good, it is not exceptional but good. It has the same vibe as CK one but a bit sharper I would say. I use it in summer days.

I just received this, and it's gorgeous! On me it's a very light floral, citrusy scent with a hint of smokiness. I completely fell in love and I'm already looking for a backup bottle as I know I will use this first one up fast ☺️

So clean and crispy it almost makes a screeching sound! Bitter grapefruit with pepper and mint. It is independent, discreet, bursting with authority gained by good taste and good sense. It is simple, but not made for simpletons.

I really wanted to love this fragrance but it’s just too peppery for me. If the pepper notes were less prominent I could see myself becoming obsessed with this scent.

This could be defined as a feminine Terre d'Hermès. Same dry mineral vibe, slightly earthy, cool and fresh. A perfume of adventure and strong will !!

Very nice and fresh. Reminds me of Calvin Klein Truth. Good for summer. Could definitely be unisex.
