Caprice De Sophie

very summery, citrusy and sweet floral scent. pleasant, not too strong. I don't really get any apple at all.

A pure, crystalline and almost transparent fragrance that is pretty and easy to wear. Notes of sweet apple give way to a slightly tart raspberry supported by a musky yet restrained jasmine. Under that are woody tones, but again very restrained. I also get sparkling tea like notes during the dry down. I wore this on a day when I had a headache but still wanted to wear a perfume and it was perfect. Sophie feels clean, innocent, simple but complete. I can see why people call it a fragrance for young girls, for those same qualities; but I think every one needs a fragrance like this in their collection. A non-challenging fragrance that is pretty and comfortable and wears close to skin. I tend to associate fragrances for young girls with sweet cloying synthetic notes like what you’d find in a drugstore fruity body spray. That’s what appeals to their taste and also their budget (or used to, before ten year olds starting getting Sephora Hauls). This isn’t that. Yes it has synthetics but so do almost all perfumes now. Most of them are good. I only object to them if they’re offensive or overpowering or super cloying, and this is the furthest thing from offensive. It’s not a big beast that will get a lot of attention but it is sweet and pretty and easy. People who like Versace Bright Crystal will likely enjoy this. Sophie wears close to skin and has a 4 hour duration.

I find this one pretty pleasant. Maybe I've been duped by the fancy Chabaud trappings, but I personally don't think it smells like a glorified bargain basement fragrance, like some others have said. I tried it around the same time as Caprice de Marie, so maybe that's why my response is much more favorable to Caprice de Sophie. It's subtle and charming, and the apple really does waft around in a pleasant way. It's not wildly innovative, no, but it gives pleasure, for sure, and that's not always the case! Won't be getting a full bottle, but I'll definitely use my sample.

Super fruity-in-your-face, bubbly, summery, sweet and young. Borderline gourmand. Noticeable apple and berries with powdery white flowers. (If you replace this apple here with strawberry, you will get Miss Dior Cherie I think) CMDP is too expensive with its prices though, for a consumer not to be able to find a cheaper alternative such as DKNY, Escada and Nina Ricci. This scent is super tasty and happy, but is it That original and affordable? Not really.

Opens with a sweet apple and ripe raspberries. I can smell freesia as well, but the kind in full bloom - no green notes detectable, only more sweetness. It's not sticky or cloying, but juicy and fresh. Keeps very close to the skin. I really like this one, it's girly and sweet but not musky. Most fruity mixes have a strong musky undertone, but this one is different (and better).

Caprice de Sophie is a pretty, casual and light fragrance that is good for spring and summer because of its transparency and freshness. On me, I smell pleasantly sweet apples and berries. Longevity is quite poor; after 3-4 hours it becomes a skin scent where to smell anything I need to mash my nose into my wrist. I will enjoy my sample but will not buy a full bottle; I think it’s overpriced due to poor performance.

@Bubblies1964 is totally right about this perfume. I got a free sample w/ a LuckyScent.com order. Shampoo or candle scent. Very generic fruity red apple scent w/ abstract florals. Nothing special. I could see a teenage girl or a pre teen girl liking this. Could be a 1st perfume for a child. Very mild, smells like apple floral shampoo.

I can see the resemblance to Nina, but Nina is superior, in my opinion. This has just a tad more deepness, but I don't think you really need it in this type of perfume. Something a Snow White would wear. Apples are really prominent. Lovely perfume for someone with a young spirit. +

TJ Max candle scent in a bottle, an Uber sweet fruity floral. This also reminds me of a shampoo scent. Apologies to others that love this, on my skin it’s a generic scent that lacks focus.

This is straight up BO and urine. I don't know if my sample is rancid or not, but it smells terrible.

FIRST IMPRESSION: anything i didnt like about caprice de marie is relevant to this one too. extremely generic-feminine, teenager locker room, sharp and very cloying. fake apple (like zoologist cow), artificial-smelling 'fresh' fruity, nauseating, smells like a fragrance by 'confessions of a rebel'. smells like sniffing a womens speed-stick deodorant from really close. smells like a shampoo in a negative way. FEW HOURS LATER... this is a no. very clearly. cheap, cloying, artificial. 28/100

This smells like something from Bath & Body Works. No offence to B&BW! .... But this does not smell particularly pleasant or like anything resembling it's price tag. It's a sharp, synthetic, flora-fruity bomb that smells cheap & dated. It's not often that I dislike a perfume so much that I have to scrub it off... but this one is most definitely a scrubber!

I am crazy about this perfume. It is perfect for spring or summer evenings. It is a fresh, breezy fruity floral with apple and raspberry. It is incredibly flirty and unapologetically so, something only the French can conjure up. The florals are not heady, and the sweetness is not too sweet and not cloying at all. Its just very fresh and breezy. Even though it is fresh, the silliage is strong, but not bothersome to others (I believe!) I can definitely smell myself while sitting in a coffee shop without sniffing my wrists. I overspray this one, but it won't get too much. It actually lasts all day. At night, I still smell it in bed, just like your skin sometimes smells sweet after spending a whole mid-european summer day outside. I agree with the reviewers below, who state this is for a young girl. Definitely a great gift for a teenage girl or a twenty-something woman. I am in my 40ties however, and personally, I wear this when I want to feel flirty, careless or need something uplifting. For clothing, this fits to a flowery summer dress or skirt. This perfume is so french, and I feel like some of the reviewers below misunderstood it for its worth.

This is the Shein version of Amouage’s Overture Woman. Synthetic smelling, nose ache inducing with a drop of BO!!!!
