Fleur de Figuier

As I really like the green fig perfumes this is a nice one. I ran into it by accident visiting a cute perfumery in Nîmes, France. Immediately bought a 15 ml bottle. I can agree with almost every review below. Yes, it looks like Hermès, but without the crisp citrus. And yes, it looks like Diptique, but it is less creamy, or sweet coconutty, and more of a warm woody drydown. I understand the “Thai soup” resemblance, as described below, but for me it is not that bad. For me it is a more liquorice note if that makes sense and when I layer this scent with 78 green vintage ( banana republic ) it is the perfect summer scent for hot days in the Mediterranean where I am right now. Love it. Edit: I took several swims wearing it. It is still there. Yum.

Lovely fig leaves. Reminds me alot of Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee, perhaps bcz of the dominant fig leaf note in both. I find this one more beautiful than Hermes as I can feel some bitter almond note as well. However, the longevity is just as bad as for Hermes. Scent: 8.5/10 Longevity: 6/10 Projection:6/10

The perfume I didn’t know I needed. It’s very nice, green, but also woody in the background. I like how it changes between the opening and the dry down 🍃

Mmmmmm delicious, rich, powerful fig. Daring, lasting, mouth watering, bitter, glowing. An amazing fig fragrance, that is also a bit dark. Wow.

Milky and coconuty fig- beautiful summery or early autumn scent!

Beautiful fresh fig perfume, captured quite realisticly...the tree, leaves, milky sap & the fruit..all on a glorious sunny day, fresh...realistic and quite "breezy". I think this is a great one for hot weather. Walking along the street i kept getting wafts of it in the air around me, really fresh and clean. Very easy to wear, glad i got a bottle.

This is quite pleasant. If you give the lavender time to calm down (and basically fade away), the fig then arrives, uncompromised. And it's sweet, round, and lightly green. Other than Clary Fig, it's the only fig fragrance I've enjoyed (Philosykos is too sickly creamy for me and Debaser makes me pretty queasy too).

Green fig skin and coconut. A heavily green perfume with a round warm buttery coconut ending. Not overly sweet, but not cold either. Just a sliced green fig inside a coconut shell. Simple but very well performed and classy.

FIRST IMPRESSION: initial scent is so sharp dry and dusty. i've never smelt any fragrance as realistically dusty as this, it gets so high into the nose and on the verge of sneezing within seconds. it is a fig scent but not juicy at all. it is more reminiscent of standing near a fig tree, im getting more the scents of the elements in the surrounding of a fig tree, lots of dry rotten leaves and soil. dusty ruin of a stone wall, a tad of sweetness in the back barely juicy. i think it smells more like the interior of an unkempt garden shed standing right under a large fig tree. smell of dust, a little chemically sharp like empty fuel cans. i'd say it is masculine leaning just a bit, due to how dry and metallic it is.

It promises fig, but fig... where? No ripe fruit or milky sap—just lavender, cool and a touch too herbal, stretched over a honeyed warmth that feels oddly weightless. Ylang is here too, but not in the lush, creamy way done well; instead, it leans humid, woody, stripped of restraint. There’s just this painful emptiness to it, like the feeling of reaching for something that should be there but isn’t. Not offensive, just mediocre through and through. I was comparing this one and philosykos hand by hand. Not everything with "figuier" in its name has a fig notes. Compare with philosykos, the fig accord in this one is barely noticeable. What's left is just a boneless floral fruity smell. Its drying-down turns synthetic milky, with a faint woody undertone. Not the best production from Chabaud.

Smells sweet and savory - like a Thai coconut soup with Thai basil and other spices. Not good for a perfume. At first I thought it would be just coconutty fig, but then took a turn for the worse into food territory.

Opening: Paint thinner Mid: Still paint thinner Dry down: Less paint thinner, a little fig, a little coconutty. Smells a little more agreeable, but I couldn't get over the long paint-thinner phases.

I had a fig tree once, the leaves had this almond-like nutty scent that was really pleasant. I'm getting that somewhere in the drydown, but mostly I'm getting the scent of weeds (not hemp - the weeds you remove from your garden, the bitter smelling ones). It's really bitter and green. I find it quite unpleasant. Bitter, green weeds, ground elder or someting like that. Smells like garden labour.

Fleur de Figuier is, I believe, the first fig perfume I have tried, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. It opens very, very green, transporting me to the woods in the morning after a light night-time rain. It smells a little juicy, and as green as it is, I keep thinking of the colour purple, for some unknown reason. 2 hours in, I smell beautiful lavender! I like how lavender smells in sachets, but I'm still not sure how I feel about it in perfumes. This one isn't overpowering though. It's nicely rolled in leaves and wood. Fig still hogs the spotlight. Towards the end, it retains some floral and tons of green notes, with fig still being the star player. Woody notes become a tad more prominent as it warms up and dies down into a skin scent. Overall, as I've reiterated many a time throughout this review, Fig Flower is definitely a green fig scent with floral and wood notes backing it. It's a little sweet, but not overly so, with the tiniest hint of wanting to be sour, but never quite reaching that. Do I love it? No, but that's simply because I'm not the biggest fan of green frags. Does this have character? I'd say it does and it is nice in its own way, so definitely worth a try if you're looking for a take on fresh frags. Projection was not too much, about arm's length for the most part. Lasted about 4 hours on me, with the final hour sitting incredibly close to the skin.

Fig is one of my favorite fruits. I like to eat it as much as I like to wear it. I like it year round, but it is especially great for summer. I wish I could try this scent.
