Innocente Fragilité

Sweet coconutty fresh sweet Jasmine (no indole undertone at all), a soft spicy gardenia and A touch of ylang ylang and a clean smooth milky white musk to anchor the blend making it an all over clean and soothing scent for a hot summer day. This is really beautiful in its simplicity. And I love it that the Jasmine and the flowers are portrayed in their fresh state. So contrary to what other have written calling this animalic and what not. This is indeed a very innocent and fresh take on white flowers. Nothing indolic, which is what white flowers begin to smell like when they are outbloomed and begin to decay, (which also can be very intoxicating). But there is none of that here for those who do not like Jasmine in that state. Someone even described this as being animalic... But there is nothing animalic in here. None at all! The coconut and the musk also helps adding sweetness and a creamy ness that gives this lovely summer vibes and makes this a very happy scent. I can in an way agree with those who have compared this to Blanche Bête but with no lactonic note but instead the creamy ness of the coconut and the musk accompanying the white florals. In a way this is a super feminine version of Blanche bête. And it has the typical Chabaud dna that also gives it a very cozy vibe. To me this does live up to its name as it is indeed a reminder of the innocent an fragile and so quickly fleeting part of summer where everything still is light green and lush and the gardens are fully in bloom before the heat takes over and the flowers begin to wither... It is however not a very shy little wall flower but a lush and vibrant garden of alive flowers. It is however not a super projector but offers a moderate silage and lasts about 3-6 hours before it can only be detected as a soft skin scent. For those who wonder about soapy ness this is a clean musk, but I find it goes a bit more into the direction of floral spicy rather than a traditional soapy one... But if clean musk spells soap to you, then maybe this will qualify. But that is not really my impression. What can I say, I really enjoy this little midsummer bouquet of white crispy flowers.

From the Chabaud Maison de Parfum's site: "TOP NOTE: Coconut HEART NOTE: Gardenia, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine, Orange Blossom BASE NOTE: White Musk" The coconut is missing from the listed notes ;o) Put the coconut in its honorable place I can say that this is a beautiful monoi fragrance, coconut and gardenia of the best qualities left to slowly macerate in the warm sun of the tropics with a delicate but firm support of jasmine, ylang yalng and musk in the dry down that make it even more creamy and delicate. Not a purely tropical or summer fragrance, it is not "fragile" nor too "innocent", it is a nice combination of creamy flowers, delicate but firm, warm but never faded flowers, something you could really hope to smell in some hidden corner of the world. Projection from medium to moderate, only on fabrics tends to project more with loss of heat of the fragrance; good duration over 6 hours before gently fading and staying on the skin; rather reduced evolution, only in the opening in which jasmine and gardenia compete to conquer a place in the sun - spoiler: wins the gardenia - the composition then remains stable and in balance. Really realistic and natural, if everyone knows Chabaud for the milky gourmand, this floral scent confirms its excellent quality in the natural and realistic rendering of the elements in composition.

To me, it's weird when people say gardenia sticks out to them in this. Maybe it's because I smelt this side-by-side with Boheme et Chic... which isn't even described to have gardenia, but I really feel the top notes definitely contain it. To me, this is a kind of vintage (but not dusty-musty) scent, a bit like cashmere, or cotton, or in general: the smell of clean linens, with a lactonic smell and.... not so much coconut, but almost rather a very soft fragipani note.

An amazing, light, clean, feminine scent. Like a very fancy white soap. Really evokes the name. It's basically like Blanche Bete, but soap instead of milk. The coconut adds a creaminess. I really love it. It's so fresh, sweet, and clean. Without being overpowering in any sense.

This would be the perfect scent for a lady who is done with all the stupid shit in life and who is now dating a successful gentleman to settle down and enjoy the life as a mature and responsible lady. Very clean, soft and sexy. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 7/10 Projection: 7/10

This smells like a fancy bar of soap. Not in a bad way! I just get SOAP.

To me this smells like an expensive lotion or, like another user mentioned, hotel bed sheets. It also kind of reminds me of that scent that some people have... Hopefully you know what I mean. I find that some people seem to have a certain clean and pleasant smell - it could just be laundry detergent - but even their house, clothes and belongings are covered in it. This reminds me of that! It is so subtle I feel like a lot of people wouldn't realize you were wearing anything; they would just think you smelled "nice." It's like an unscented perfume. I really like it. c: I think I should mention though that it reminds me a little bit of the scent of glue stick. I think this might be the ylang-ylang. Just tell yourself that it smells like ylang-ylang, not glue...

This is the perfect perfume to remind you to let things sit and change before making up your mind. At first, I really found the ylang-ylang to be insanely overpowering and almost plasticky. It was a hard no. But, honestly, an hour later, I was like, oh, wait, this is so darling! I'm not quite sure it's really my personality, in the end, but the mellow musky floral vibe was absolutely pleasant. Edit: it smells very similar to Beautiful Launderette by CB I Hate Perfume (which I own). Clean but subtly addictive.

Soapy, clean, creamy and lovely. This is the richer and smoother cousin of Glow. Main difference is Glow is more synthetic and this is not. I'm not able to really differentiate the notes in either of them (I guess that Glow is a bit bigger on jasmine and Innocente Fragilite a tad more on the gardenia), but they both smell equally clean, easy going and beautiful. It has that fresh out of the shower feeling.

For some reason I’m getting tuberose.. It’s a very soft take on tuberose, creamy coconutty and not too bubblegummy. I’m not getting any gardenia at all (I have a gardenia blooming in my living room at this very moment, and it smells nothing alike). There’s no jasmine, no orange blossoms. Just a very soft tuberose.

Kind of a clean scent. Smells like shower gel or body lotion. Or fresh hotel bedsheets. I usually dont like clean scents too much because they try to hard to smell clean, but this one doesnt try too hard in my opinion. I think I would enjoy spraying this one after a shower, maybe on my bedsheets.

This is very creamy! Opening was a burst of coconut and ylang-ylang, very tropical-floral. It keeps close to the skin. I personally don't smell the jasmine here (which is great, as I don't like it) but I do get Tahitian gardenia (tiare flower). Overall, a pleasant beachy scent!

it’s sweet and lactonic to me, like coconut milk. it’s a really faint fragrance, so i would say it’s good for everyday wear, not overpowering at all.

At first spray there's no hint of coconut. Very faint smell until the dry down, that's when the musky coconut milk comes out.

Creamy white florals, a little touch of powder and lots of coconut! The gardenia sticks out to me the most.

Not so innocent or fragile per my impression, and a whole lot of jasmine dominating.

I used a whole sample on myself and cannot smell this unless I smell where applied. It has no projection at all. What I smell when I sniff my skin directly smells like a pretty floral soap. I was hoping for creamy white floral with a coconut twist, but all the notes just blend together into the scent of a fancy bar soap, like those creamy coconut oil-based soaps where you don't smell the coconut there either. Not fb worthy.

This is a pure jasmine scent. Strongly white floral. I don't know how it's supposed to be fragile or innocent, to me it just smells like strong jasmine note. I guess it's pureness is supposed to be innocent. It's linear and without complexity or any nuances. If you're into ordinary jasmine scent you just might like it.

That is probably the worst musk scent that exist, and for sure the worst that I know. There is nothing innocent and nothing fragile in that either. It’s very animalic, sharp, but also mineral/metallic somehow. And okay, I got that edgy, nonchalant, weird perfumes exist but look at the name and the bottle - it wasn’t the leading vision for that one. It’s not like above mentioned nonchalant, edgy friend that maybe is not the sweetest person in the world but have plenty different tones that amaze you. It’s like straight forward rude, acidly sweated aunt without any charm in her aura.

Innocent Fragility opens with a milky, creamy jasmine. There's also one more flower in the opening stage, but I'm not particularly skilled at discerning notes, so I can't tell for sure if it's orange blossoms or gardenia. Either ways, the combo of jasmine and that one other floral is a happy and rich one, a little airy too. Is there coconut in this, too? Because there's also a hint of a tropical creaminess, like the white flesh attached the the round shell of a coconut, and reminds me of canned coconut milk! Also, I'm also not entirely sure why, but it seems like there's a bitter floral playing around in the background. It ends with a soft slightly sweet musk laced with white florals. At no point does this become offensive or overly strong. I can't say it's fragile, but I suppose there are aspects of this that fit "Innocent". It is, however, a pretty safe perfume to wear, unless you do not enjoy jasmine (which was quite dominant in the early stages). I feel like it had the potential to be something a tad more impressive, but it falls short for me. Still not a bad fragrance, though. Projection wasn't anything to shout about, but still noticeable for the most part. Lasted around 5-6 hours on me.

FIRST IMPRESSION really inoffensive, its soft, bright and 'cute' in a way. i can smell some floral like tuberose or something, and i do really see the association to it being an innocent scent. its youthful yet mature at the same time. the energy is youthful and pure, but the main notes are much more common in mature scent profiles. i do appreciate the cleanness of it, i reminded me a bit of gucci memoire dune at first sniff for some reason. FEW HOURS LATER... i could like it on my sister but on me the opening is just a tad too feminine, the drydown onward is very neutral, high quality, and dead middle unisex-clean imo although at that point the projection is abysmal, which is a bummer. 43/100

Orange blossom and gardenia with strong projection, on a cushion of musk. I do not see much of a "fragile innocence" as these are, although pleasant, quite strong notes. Can`t smell much coconut but I do see where those who comment about the soap note are coming from. There is that old fashioned bar of soap tone and it`s quite strong, although I personally like that nostalgic artisan aldehyde vibe. Overall- dominant southern summery musky blossoms with some hand-made soap. If you ask me what perfume will suit the name "fragile innocence" I will name 20 and this one won`t even cross my mind due to its heaviness. Pleasant- yes. Fragile- not at all.

jbells' review is spot on, to the point where there's actually nothing else I could add that would help describe this scent better. I like this, I don't much like jasmine in general, but after that opening shot of it, the remainder is a tropical melange and jasmine only plays a supporting role, so I'm able to actually enjoy this which would not be the case if it were solely a jasmine scent.

I ordered a sample kit from Chabaud during December and now I already own a bottle of Lait et chocolat which is just lovely and dreamy and now i am thinking to order a bottle of innocente fragilite it is a smooth slightly coconuty white musc sweet powdery clean scent. I love it as an office appropriate...i don't get much of the white florals but it is floral fresh mostly muscy. LOVE.

A superb chaste white floral that's incredibly feminine. For fans of laundry musk, white flowers and gentle nuances of soft fluffy musk.
