Lumière de Venise

This is beautiful. A sweet modern chypre-light (not really chypre but what is being called chypre today). Fruity and floral with clean patchouli. I didn't even know this brand existed until I got a sample from Osswald in New York. It's nice enough for me to want to try some others. Very pretty and feminine fragrance that, while sweet, doesn't cross over into the pure sugar or candy like territory. I really like this a lot.

two notes that I have a hard time with, rose, and patchouli, but this, I love this! The soapiness of the rose is not present, and the harshness of the patchouli is very very faint, somehow it's a bit juicy, might be the peach. 7.5/10 for me :)

I don't know why I like this so much. Its so strange, like a metronome. It starts off citrus and sweet, very light and sparkling almost champagne like. Then it moves into the jasmine, before becoming woodsy and cologne-like. Starts going very aftershave for a sec before the jasmine and floral peeks back through and makes it feminine again but cold? Like if I didn't know any better I would say there's eucalyptus or something in it. And then it just does that back and forth for me as it dries down. Something new peeking through every time. I want to wear this for Christmas, walking to find a tree to cut down. It's bizarre lmfao.

Opens with a juicy, sweet grapefruit. Then peach comes in, mixed with patchouli and tonka. I wouldn't call it fruity, the focus is definitely on patchouli here. There is a similarity to Coco Mademoiselle, not in the opening but after 15-20 minutes. I think this one is a bit more feminine and less sharp than Coco Mademoiselle, overall a pleasant mix but nothing groundbreaking.

I would never have guessed the notes after getting this as a sample/free gift thing and wearing it. Peach? Grapefruit? Where? To me it was bergamot jasmine and tonka with patchouli, and I like it! It's very long lasting on my skin as well. It's a good peach scent for people who don't like peach probably 😅

There's not a ton of peach that comes through on my skin, but the citrus energy is strong. I like it more than others in the Chabaud line, but something about it feels a wee bit ... hmm, "generic" feels too strong. Maybe it's just ... nice. But nothing that draws you in.

A charming one! I can sense powdery notes mixed with woody notes and peach. It gets more masculine as time passes, initial scent was better in my opinion. Still, worth a try and more attention!

Wood, rose, citrus peel, patchouli. A pinch of tonka. More flowers open up on the second wave. Masculine, timber-y, fresh but not cold. It`s sweet but not suffocating, fresh but not a generic CK, spicy but within a limit. Quite an old-fashioned vibe, the era of the year 2000s men's perfumes. It`s nice but that`s about it. To me it`s a mass-market old-fashioned scent, it does not mean it`s bad it`s just ok.

Hi everyone. Like a many houses, chabaud has launched a new perfume made on oud, but Patchouli mixed with some wood accord dominate all over the time. The fragrance begin with a beautiful touch of bergamote, then some syntehtics flowers like violet, ionone exactly was used here give a fruit notes a figue. Smoky mettalic effect was enhanced by the noble patchouli at the base. You can recognize for this perfume a litte similiraties with Oud Ispahan by Dior, with less of Iso E Super.

Sparkly and fresh, but the fruitiness is not pleasant in my opinion. The peach really doesn't do the scent any favors. I feel like so many other perfumes capture that sparkly zest better. It's a little old fashioned, reminds me of the perfume department of a gardening center. The florals come through a little more in the dry-down and it gains some elegance but again I just feel like I've smelled so many fragrances that tick these boxes better.

Boring Boring Boring Boring Boring. A $135 bottle of boringness. A weird rubber-gasoline tinged beginning, soft down to something fresh-light-sweet, with slightly fresh-peppery-spicy edge; then settle on an abstract sour-sweet fruit juice (grapefruit? whatever, it doesn't matter. It smells artificial anyway). For a second it has a chewing-gum-minty feel, but quickly back to that artificial fruit juice, leaning toward peach flavor, which doesn't contain one iota of real fruit. I figured out why it screams "artificial": the perfume smells like hair mousse. Once realize that, it just became more and more artificial every second. Then this hair mousse tread on a "darker" path, probably patch, tonka, and whatnot, you know the drill.
