Orencie

I received my samples from the house of Chambre52 today. All 6 parfumes are great, I would love my man wear Tobacco memories or Cuir a corps. Actually my fav is Cuir a Corps, well blended leather with vanilla and some spices, leaning more masculine. But Orencie is the one I can see wearing myself, and it will be suitable for any occasion. Orencie has a clean girl vibe. There are no aldehydes, which is great as the washing powder/laundry notes can irritate my nose and throat a lot. Soft, mineral rose with milky fig in undertone (no fig or fig leaves mentioned), modern and timeless at the same time. I love it. Update: I ordered a bottle of Orencie today 💜

A beautiful lychee rose. It reminds me of home. As in it reminds me of my mom, not in the old lady way, as in the my mom loves rose way. It starts out strongly lychee and rose-germanium. The dry down consists of rose musk mostly.

I really like this. On my skin it’s powdery, musky and woody and the lychee does come through. However, it faded so quickly that it won’t be a full bottle for me. It’s barely a skin scent after about an hour on me.

Smells like a clean almond milk for me, pretty nice, leans feminine

It’s a clean luxury rose fresh soap bar type of fragrance in a good way. It’s nice if one loves clean soapy but for me it’s not a love. It sort of makes my nose tickle as if someone took soap bar scraped it to powder. It’s a very clean smell.

From discovery set. Exciting complexity and depth in opening, generic ‘blue’ dry-down disappointed me too much to consider purchase at price point.

Orencie elicits that same depressing feeling that I get when I hear music where Melodyne was used far too much in the vocalist's track. It's an uncanny valley in fragrant form. The lychee has no trace of ripeness or rot, the rose is more rose-flavored cotton candy—which I wouldn't say no to eating, if it existed as a confection, but I find the smell a bit cloying. I get flashbacks of being an anxious pre-teen at the carnival, too old to go on the kiddie rides, too young to have the courage to ride the Gravitron, and I am eating a corn dog on my way to the petting zoo, wishing I was just in my bedroom drawing. I don't want fragrances to unearth these kinds of memories. It soon flattens into a rather mainstream, department store Ebanol/Javanol dry down with the perfect fixative screech that sends me a-scrubbing.

Orencie opens like a lychee/rose, a more classy and subtle iteration of the ubiquitous 'Delina' profile, but still smells like a typical feminine fragrance. This soon dissipates and gives way to a lactonic musky dry down which I find more palatable and interesting, but not interesting enough. As for the performance? Unfortunately, soft as a whisper. Pretty but meh. In my humble opinion, Mother's Milk Extrait by Eris Parfums does the milky, musky, fruity rose petal thing better.

Dries down into a fully laundry detergent smell and not in a good way

I agree with the reviewer below me. I was very enticed by the opening of this and immediately put it in my cart to buy it the following morning but within an hour (if that) it fizzled out and dried down to a generic blue fragrance indeed. If they could have captured that opening throughout the entire fragrance and actually make it last then I think they’d really be on to something here as it was unique but mass appealing at the same time but sadly it’s a pass for me.

Got a discovery set from Chambre52 this week and this one really got me, so the 100 ml is on its way. It's not very unique, but I just feel happy when I smell it. I recently got a lot of samples of hyped fragrances, very few make me feel like this, so maybe I just needed something "simple". My husband thinks it smells like summer.

Luminous & mineral with floral milky facets. Opens up with pink pepper and litchi followed by musk & geranium. This has a subtle green aromatic spiciness, that keeps it light with a mineral rose and lactonic dry down. The lactonic notes in this isn’t sickly at all and works well with the florals. I loved the idea of this when I got the discovery set. I love the bottles as well. If it lasted more than two seconds, I would probably recommend it. It smells great when you initially spray it and in the bottle, but once it's on your body and on your clothes, it goes away instantly. Such a bummer.

Lychee is very prominent at first, while later on sandalwood shows up. Very light scent, barely noticeable
