Tobacco Memories Extrait

Picked up a sample of this from Nose. I'm getting a burst of cherry. I have sirene privee and sirene...if I am to compare this to Sirene privee -- I feel that the cherry note in sirene privee is a fruity juicy cherry...with the type of imagery comparable to cherries in syrup. Almost dessert like -- but definitely not gourmand. However I feel the cherry in here is more -- tart, not as sweet, less syrupy. But, I feel that the fragrances are similar --but they are distinctly different. Do you need both? Only if you have a cherry obsession. I feel I may pick this up as I like the cherry and tobacco profile

I really like it, rich cherry aroma, long lasting

A genuinely positive first spritz. Fresh, distant smokiness. People mention cherry, and I get it, though it's not cherry-forward at all. I think the labdanum creates the illusion of sweetness, and the tobacco sits well in that tart smoky register. Everything is so subtle you almost miss it. On paper it goes cola cherry, on skin it stays faint but genuinely pleasant... never really vulgar, more the essence of tobacco than tobacco itself. Best way I can describe it: 'I just smoked and popped a cherry bubble gum and now you're kissing me an hour later.' That's the scent. I love it. 8/10

Testing it right now after taking home the sample vial from the Nose store in Paris. Great bottle and big expectations, but all I have is an immediate cherry cyanide blast that places all the other notes listed above (if they are correct) on such a faraway background - you simply do not detect them. Can be enjoyable as a "chemical gourmand" frag and I believe can gain much better votes from those who have spent the last few years in a lethargic sleep and still haven't enjoyed enough the cherry juice passed off as perfume. The "extrait" label remained a complete mystery to me - pure marketing. It's pretty linear and lacks development, and I believe this is crucial for a pure perfume. I do not dislike it, it's pleasant - but the way can be pleasant a fruity shower gel or hand cream, and not an expensive perfume.
