Allure Eau de Parfum

I stayed away from the Allure line as I had this idea that it wasn’t my thing. I sniffed many flankers of Allure Homme before deciding on Edition Blanche. Didn’t ever come to love it, and have given it to a friend. I did however acquire a vintage bottle of the OG Allure Homme and that’s what got me hooked. It’s the entire composition from the citrus, to the florals, the peach, the woods, the vanilla, the vetiver and coconut, the spice, the powder. It’s gorgeous! And such a shame it’s not well known. It made me wanna try the og Allure, what started it all. I tried the EDT by acquiring a used bottle about 40% full online. I liked it but it seemed light and I couldn’t seem to get a full feel for it. I thought perhaps it was just boring and I wasn’t going to get much from it. I kept using it as I did notice an ambery-ness to it that I found quite...alluring. 🙄 I used it up, and I kept thinking about it. I decided to go for a used EDP that I actually received this evening. I GET IT NOW! It’s so so so LOVELY. I admittedly thought it was gonna be a basic b*tch perfume but it really isn’t. It doesn’t unfold like a traditional perfume, but it wasn’t designed to. And in that regard, I find it a breath of fresh air from most of my collection. It also just brings back so many memories from the last 90s. I keep seeing my town from that time as well as flashes of scenes from movies such as Scream, American Pie, and Cruel Intentions 😂 So maybe more a breath of...nostalgia. You could call it dated but I don’t find it to be, or perhaps I’m forgiving as it has some familiarity to me and I also love Chanel fragrances. Anywho, I do actually get the impression of all of the notes listed. Wafts of each note kinda comes and goes. But there’s an overall golden, honey drenched fruit, floral, vanilla (but not what I was expecting) vibe that I absolutely love. I have a 50 ml but I see a 100 ml in my future. Seems to project decently and has a decent life span on the skin. Nothing insane but pretty good for the type of perfume. Also, random. My mother died very recently and it’s allowed me to feel free to move somewhere new and away from everything I know. Something about this perfume has a type of inspirational spark that I’ve been feeling since wearing it. It reminds me of going on a vacation? Perhaps it’ll help me in my journey of figuring out my next destination to try new things in life 😊 🥀

Vanilla but not your typical cupcake vanilla, this is a grown-up Chanel Vanilla, a vanilla done right in my books. Allure EdP was gifted to me a few Christmases ago by my grandmother who chose it out for me after sniffing a few other Chanels and concluded that this one was "me", so it has sentimental ties and I have to say, Nana did good! Allure is a "my second skin" type scent, it never really smells the same on me from start to finish and it also always smells different on different people, its like wearing 3 different perfumes during the course of the day or evening. The opening is a usual aldehyldic Chanel affair mixed with a fleshy, fuzzy peach, the peach settles down and a warm, citrus vanilla comes out and for the first 3 hours, thats what Allure smells like, later on some florals in the form of magnolia and jasmine come out, the cirtus dies down but the vanilla stays firmly planted for another few hours before mellowing out completely to a warm, vanillic cedar and vetiver on my skin. The reason I say Allure is like a second skin, is that after the inital operatic opening of peach and aldehydes, Allure vanishes for a few minutes before I start to really notice it again, it merges with my skin to be come a second skin and compliments I recieve on it are always along the lines of "you smell amazing" and "you smell yummy", never "your perfume smells great". Longevity is amazing and I can wear this from early in the morning and right through until 10pm at night and still smell it on me so its perfect for cool days and when I know I have an event I need to go to later on in the day or if any last minute plans are made, I can also smell it still on me even after showering! Silage is strong but not in the traditional "Woah someones overdone their perfume" way, if that makes any sense? its strong but not intrusive or cloying. Office safe, definately a versatile scent that can be worn casually during the cooler months and can easily be dressed up and still feel classy, its a bit too much for the warmer months but without fail when the cooler months roll around, Allure comes out. Will forever repurchase this. Stunning

Let me preface by saying that my boyfriend is an avid collector, a "fraghead". I was not prior to meeting him. This was a birthday present from him and my first expensive (to me) perfume. I am very selective in what I want in a scent. Not too juvenile, not too mature. Classy, sexy, timeless. I don't like really sweet, powdery, types of fragrances. I typically lean towards fresher clean scents. The only perfume in competition for my signature scent would be Delina by Parfums De Marly. I really wanted a Chanel perfume. Because I really love Chanel. It's ironic for a reason. I tried No5 (Which tbh I hate. Yes, hate it. It's way too mature. I've tried several times.) The Pink Chance perfume was pleasant but not what I was looking for. I first sampled this at Macy's. And in the opening, for about the first 20 minutes, I also disliked this perfume. It smelled too powdery. Too mature. And as I've mentioned, I dislike those attributes. HOWEVER. When people say you have to let a perfume live on your skin, mingle with you, they mean it. This perfume almost does a 180. It turns into a completely different perfume. Like literally. The powder disappears. And in it's place is this soft, gorgeous scent that I honestly couldn't stop smelling. The more I sniffed the more I wanted to. I tried samples of it several times to make sure I wasn't crazy. I had others smell it on me as well, all agreeing. I really became obsessed with the smell. That's why my boyfriend bought it for me. And why it's my signature. It is so unique. The notes blend so perfectly that you can't quite ever put your finger on any of them while wearing it. I have never had a perfume "flip" like this one does. It's like 2 in 1. It smells refined. You can wear it anytime. The name does it justice, it is Alluring.

lets start with this , i have Allure sensual and Allure EDT and um not a fan of both ! so to be honest i didn't expect much from the EDP version,used to buy now and regret later so i ordered a 10 ml decant of this beauty. Allure EDP is the one of few Chanel's scents that do not make me run a mile,its not being what they "expect" from Chanel. Allure EDP is simply a fairy tale. i remember my 1st impression when i opened my package WOW! then i turned down the vial to make sure its ALLURE EDP ! yes it is indeed . I love how it opens with a bright, citrus-y feel before revealing the softer, creamy vanilla base.it cant be more beautiful. the moment i sniffed it i dreamed about winter , a christmas holiday when its cold , snowing and gray . wearing Chanel coat in beige while wandering at the most vital street in the city with the most handsome man holding my hand ! Allure EDP is all about being a real female , if i were a man i would get in my knees for this fragrance. sexy ,warm, delicious, timeless beauty in a bottle ,the composition of the fragrance seems expertly blended.none of the notes overwhelm, they all work in perfect harmony. the longevity is excellent! Allure manages to be warm, enveloping and smooth. it's a very comforting scent, the kind of scent you'd love someone you hugged to be wearing. :) i do beleive if i tried this on few years ago i would run a way , iam soon to be 27 years old and i would love to get the largest bottle of this treasure , its my coming winter main hunt in short ALLURE EDP is a fragrance for the woman that had it all - beauty, brains, social life, career and I agree it seems very ( put together ) being smart, classically beautiful, sophisticated woman wearing this because that's exactly what Allure EDP is ! 10 /10 !

Soapy sweet citrussy body scent. My signature scent for so long, because to me it fits any occasion and when a close friend of mine found out after years that this asn't my bodysmell, but a perfume, she was truly surprised. It was a very funny moment!! She thought I smelled genuinly good by myself. ;) It smells powdery without being too dry, it's sweet without being too much. I would say this is a woodsy citrus peach, without being straight up peachy. The floral and other notes give it more depth. It's a unique perfume, it has a life of it's own, IF it fits your skin. If it fits; it blends in like it's your body scent and that's the most important detail to me when it comes to a signature scent. Office scent: YES I've never come acros someone that didn't like the smell on me and I live in The Netherlands where everybody can come o ver as 'blunt'. ;) Longevity: (1-3 sprays usually) On my skin it fades after a day or two. On my clothes it stays until I wash them. When I hugg a friends pet, they smell my perfume slightly, but only for two days. And I'm a big pet hugger. Sillage: A bit more than armlength, but it's not a penetrating scent. It's sneaky lingering that blends in very well to be part of a room without being too much noticed. I don't find it outdated and don't like any other Chanel fragrances apart from Gabrielle maybe. I'm a 28y/o Dutch female and have been wearing this for almost 9 years now. The boyfriend: He thinks it smells soapy. :)

It's not just a scent; it's a statement: timeless, refined, and unapologetically ladylike.

(Reviewing the 1999 version) Very well-blended, as Chanel fragrances are. The overall impression is of peach, but an idealized version that is clean and avoids the overly sweet or ripe aspects. You have probably smelled this type of peach accord in other products now, but I imagine this fragrance helped popularize it when it was released. At arm's length I get a peach/orange/rose accord, with the rose fading over time. The listed base notes are very puzzling to me - perhaps the notes on Fragrantica are for a newer formulation? The base smells to me like pure ambrettolide with a hint of tonka. This is what predominates near the skin. The fragrance has a trail which is noticeable, but not cloying, as long as you don't overspray. I would not use more than two (certainly no more than three) sprays of the original, but most fragrances have of course been reformulated to be weaker. The opening is a touch aldehydic but quickly fades to the scent described above and lasts for more than eight hours. This fragrance has enough amber in it to be womanly and sexy, but also has a beautiful simplicity to it which I think could appeal to the gourmand girlies of today.

I might be looking at what might be my next signature fragrance. My first acquaintance with Allure EDP was through the EDT, and I can't say I liked the latter very much. Unfortunately the first impression got me rather biased against the EDP which, in turn, I at first dismissed as being way too sweet. However, for some reason I kept on returning to the whole Allure range to give it more spins and next thing I know, I find myself completely and utterly obsessed with EDP. Peach, mandarin, vanilla and cedar. Perfectly blended together to give a smooth, creamy and absolutely seamless cashmere-like composition. It feels both like cashmere and a fuzzy, juicy peach that you can almost touch and feel the gorgeous texture, if only olfactory senses could deliver the tactile ones too. I may just say that I wish the beautiful sparkling mandarin notes that the scent starts off with would last longer. I could go on praising Allure EDP forever so I'll just round this off by saying that silage and longevity are wonderful. This scent resonates with my perfume tastes and my own personality so much that Shalimar now has a big rival.

Timeless. Wearing this you will feel- put together during the day but it will captivate others so be careful! At night confident and hard to figure out. First review of my signature scent. Go for the EDP. The EDT doesn’t do this justice. Complex and extremely well blended, it is difficult to make out individual notes. Alluring as the name suggests. It wraps and envelops the wearer. Signature scent. You embody this, you wear this for you. Others happen to be drawn in. It is the polar opposite of announcing loudly but without question makes its presence known. Pure sophistication but not mature or dated. Like Greco-Roman architecture it can’t be improved upon. Powdery, woody and soft spicy. There is some peach at the top but it’s more floral than fruity overall. Stays linear. Perfect for day or night, suited mainly to cool weather. Excellent projection. Lasts for days on clothes. In summary- this has duality- 90s classic yet timeless/ runs cool because of the powdery/ woody notes side by side with warm vanilla and hints of sweetness/ alluring during the day yet reserved/ heady at night...Enigmatic.🧡🤎❔🔥🪵🪻🍨

I remembered smelling this as a teenager in the 90's in those magazine strips, remembered how much I liked it, and took a chance and bought a bottle without smelling the reformulation. I'm so glad I did, because this has become one of my favorite fragrances. On me, my skin really amps up the citrus (I could have sworn I smelled lemon + grapefruit, but I guess it's just the mandarin + bergamot) and the peach and florals aren't really noticeable, but work with the other notes to provide the "chanel DNA" where I don't notice them individually, but they add to the complexity of the scent. It's definitely 90's- not a loud powerhouse of the decades that came before, but a little more minimalist, airier, and fresher. It smells like if you took Coco Mademoiselle, dialed down the florals and mixed one part of what's left with three parts of CK One. It's classy and really nice. Though it doesn't bear much similarity to the perfumes of today, I don't feel that it is really dated or too "mature" ( though I am in my mid 40's, so take that as you will).

Just for reference, the bottle I am reviewing here is from the year 2008, according to the batch code. I was lucky enough to have found it at the back of my mom‘s cosmetics cabinet and she let me have it. I think that Allure is an apt name for this gorgeous fragrance because there is indeed something alluring and intriguing about it. The white flowers are a tiny bit indolic, just enough to remind us that the fragrance‘s roots are in the 90s. The flowers are nicely complemented by the sweeter fruit and vanilla notes. Woody and ambery accords ground the composition and bring warmth. I feel that the fragrance is rather linear and very potent. In the beginning, I made the mistake of overspraying and I therefore understand that it could be headache-inducing for some. I also realized that I appreciate Allure the most when I alternate it with other fragrances because there is something melancholic and precious about it that does not fit every occasion. In my opinion, it is best worn on a cold and foggy fall day, going for a walk in nature.

What a beautiful hug perfume. This is a smoldering warm fire on me. And a Powerhouse!! I’ve never been so at home in a scent before this. It sort of clings and gives an aura of golden, plush comfort around me. People just love it. I’ve actually seen eyes light up and they say what IS that? And lean in closer. I can’t say exactly what it is that stands out the most but vanilla, subtle florals, and soft woods dominate on me. It smells RICH. I can’t pull out any citrus because to me it’s not bright, it’s smooth, deep, and soft. Lasts for 12 hours, sometimes more. The vetiver and cedar are really grounding in this and I often can’t decide if it’s sexy or motherly, or what, but somehow it feels like me. Since I just discovered this in winter I don’t know if I’ll want to wear it in our hot summers... we will see? It seems cozy for cool weather. I could see this being a signature as I whittle down my collection. Allure for life, please. Update: this doesn’t work for me in heat because it’s so warm! Reserved for cool months 💜

Allure EDP is one of the most beautiful fragrances I have ever worn. It has the same DNA as Coco ( the original not Mademoiselle). The freshness in this comes from the sparkling 🍊 citrus in the opening. Then as it warms up on my skin I get sheer pink and white 💐 bouquet of flowers. Similar to Coco, the flowers have a soapy and powdery quality which gives Allure an elegant and luxurious edge. The woody vanilla base is very feminine and sexy. It’s the same bourbon vanilla from Coco. Nobody does vanilla like Chanel. Allure is complex, elegant, luxurious, and sexy which is everything that I look for in a perfume. I’ll share a secret with you: I layer the Nivea Coconut and Monoi Oil Body lotion under my fragrances. It smells like very expensive suntan lotion. Then I spray Allure or Coco EDP on top which gives the flowers 🌸 🌺 🌹 and vanilla a tropical vibe. I get constant compliments on how good I smell- try it, it is absolute heaven! It has great longevity as it lasts 12+ hours on my skin. Great sillage and projection.

I'm late to the Allure party but I'm so glad I've finally arrived! It's warm but not heavy, soft but not weak, fresh but not cold. It's full of contradictions but it just really works. It's elegant and I think it's a little bit sexy in an mmm-come-a-little-closer way. I predominantly get peach, vanilla, jasmine and vetiver. I'm sure that like the EDT it also has amber in the base as I can really smell it in the drydown. In this it does remind me of Coco which my mum wears and I love. Some find the longevity of the newest formulation to be poor but it lasts and lasts on me, I can definitely still smell it the next day (and that's from only one squirt per wrist and one on my chest). I even sprayed a little in my hair then washed it 48 hours later only to still be able to smell it after! I know some don't like the bottle but I love it. The colours suit the juice inside perfectly and I like the simplicity of it. It's nice it's not the standard Chanel flacon. Please Chanel, please do not stop making this beauty!

This is just the smell of my mum for me, it is just her signature scent. For that reason I have sentimental attachment to this fragrance, but I do think it is very classy and timeless. I don’t feel like this could ever be out of style. I can’t take out a single note when smelling this as it’s very complex. It’s of course a beast performer with crazy silage longevity and projection. It is 100% signature scent worthy. I wouldn’t describe it as mature but it’s definitely a grown woman smell, although I think a classy woman of any age can pull this off. I can see a young 20 something wearing this too. Not for someone who doesn’t want to be smelt... it’s strong and powerful, but not overpowering if that what you’re into. Although I think you need confidence to wear this scent and not let the scent wear you. Would recommend though, definitely get this over the Chance Chanels, as you can get the same vibe of those for way cheaper. But this is unique to Chanel in my opinion. Still way overpriced though these days.

I've heard it said by a few fellow Fragrantistas that when it comes to Chanel, it's often the case that they needs some time to sit undisturbed for quite some time, as in months. This gives a "fresh" bottle time to marinate, so to speak, deepening the perfume by allowing it time to bloom. It could be the power of suggestion, but I swear that my bottle - purchased a few years ago - has definitely improved with age. My first impression was somewhat uninspiring. It's Chanel, the quality was there, but it wash too harsh in the begging and never really came all together as this fragrance was designed to do. Well today I sprayed some on and it is so gorgeous! Rich and smooth with the most delicious peach and vanilla anchored by cedar in a masterful way. I came on here, and immediately upgraded it from Like to Love. I can't wait for the cooler fall weather. I know that then it will shine even more.

I did not expect to like this as much as I do, considering how dated others find it. There is something very '90s about this, as other reviewers have noted, something in the sweet-lactonic vanilla-peach combination. That said, I think this is a lovely creation, perfectly balanced between warmth and coolness, airy sweetness and woody florals, powder and cream, exuberance and reserve. The vibrant citruses, rose, and jasmine foreshadow Coco Mademoiselle, but here the body is more solid, more complex, the patchouli replaced with peach, woods, and vanilla. On the whole, it feels less cloying and "cleaner" than CM—not less charming, just differently charming. I agree that this can work year-round, and is slightly better during the day; it's almost too cheerful and awake for nighttime. The bottle is simple but beautifully designed. Now I'm eager to try the flankers!

One of my good friend wore this back in Uni. She smelled so great i begged her to wear it everyday. I did not bought a bottle then for myself since it was her signature. Fast forward many years later and i sort of forgot about this beautiful scent. I recently went perfume testing and tested this. I bought a bottle immediately. It still smell as lovely as i remembered. My friend laughed when i told her that i finally bought Allure. She said, 'took you long enough, you were obsessed with it!' On to the scent now, its a soft, smooth peach scent. Powdery as well but the powder is not overwhelming. I cant really detect all the individual notes, its so well blended and the end result is really pleasing to my nose. Projection and longevity are stellar. It projects well on skin as well as clothes and all you need is one spray or two.

The daytime/summer scent to D&G The One (Original formulation) it's got that same beastly peach opening but with a more fresh citrus quality. They share that same creamy peach vanilla accord. If your chemistry is compatible, they both harmoniously drap you in a sensuous floral peach vanilla musk. They aren't dupes at all, but belong in the same wardrobe. Allure has citrus and florals beautifully blended through but when I wear it, it sinks into my skin with the same compatibility as The One. I don't feel like I stand out or catch attention when I wear them, (don't care) I feel like I am in my own skin, smelling my absolute best. Peach, vanilla, orange blossom. Those seem to be my skin's signature scents. Other "skinature" scents like this include: Cinema YSL, Armani Code for Women, Gucci Rush. All different, all harmonious.

Another CoCo Love for me just adding more Chanel Love to my collection. The opening is alluring, hence the name, with a bright sexy orange mandarin/ bergamot twist which is yummy. Later the floral notes with a vanilla background lingers for hours which are so enticing. What a lovely floral bouquet with a slight woody scent where the rose is prominent to my senses with the peony note too. It's all so beautiful making a sensual scent that has a lovely projection that last all day into the next morning, It's so warm and inviting to those around you, and men love it trust me. Works great in the cooler weather making me look forward to trying in the warmer climate, Good to wear day or night while relaxing or going on a date, A new staple for my collection can't say enough on just how much I love this beautiful scent.

First time I encountered it, a demo lady in the "Innovation" (a type of Saks superstore, in Bxl) asked if she could spray this 'new hair mist' on my long hairs. I said sure, walked on, stepped out, and stepped back in to buy a bottle. I was smitten with the whiffs of whites and pinks and resins that gently wafted by as my hair moved besides, sometimes in, my face. I now, decades later, still have long hairs (the ava photo is me), and always an EdP bottle + backup. And I really continue to enjoy the broad spectrum composition of this most alluring fragrance. The thrill for me is in the role of the pinks: rose, peony and lotus lift this to its unique place, not only in the Realm of Chanel, but also beyond. And now I am wondering why I don't use the hair mist anymore, and will put it on my list tonight.

It's 7.45pm, 12th October 2002, your middle class parents are getting ready to leave the house to go to a black tie gala in aid of your mother's friends' charity. Your father asks your mother where his shoes are. As she points to the bottom of the staircase, she turns to you and tells you that there's soda in the fridge, but please, don't drink more than two. She fixes her earrings and leans in to say goodbye to you as your father opens the front door to wave at the taxi driver who has just arrived. "Be good!" she says. "Have fun!" he shouts, half out the door. You sit on the couch and turn on your PS2. A comforting warm citrus uplift lilts through the air as you run to the kitchen to drink your first of four sodas. You don't know it yet, but this memory will stay with you for the rest of life.

Such a floral, soft, pure beauty. Not something a younger girl wears, it feels very feminine and mature. Its projection is pretty good too, when I walked into work with it on I had multiple coworkers ask me what I was wearing. Longevity is okay! I wore it for about 4-5 hours, came home to my family telling me I still smelt like it! Upon first application it smells very green and spicy on me- I smell a lot of rose too. About 3-4 hours later it is very musky, but in a good way. It's very woodsy and yet still retains the rose note. It still smells very womanly but with a more complex read. On me it never really read as a gourmand, even with the vanilla. It really does smell to me like walking through a moonlit garden full of roses, jasmine, peonies. Really recommend if that is something you like!!

Peachy vanilla sweetness, beautifully blended floral notes, soft woods in the dry down. Longevity and sillage are very, very good. This is important to me. If I'm spending $100+ for a bottle of perfume, it needs to perform. That is one of the reasons I reject many pricey niche scents, but I digress. To me, the good quality of the ingredients here are evident. It's a staple; I always have a bottle. This one is my easy choice, I reach for it often because it's so pretty and always appropriate. People around me and people in public also like it, which matters to me. There are other fragrances which fit other needs and situations, but Allure is gorgeous and dependable as a day to day fragrance. I always feel confident in it, and I consider it to be well worth the money.

Just recently purchased this because a beautiful counter lady told me to try it instead of coco (which i might go back for actually) BUT I can’t believe i haven't come across it sooner. Its so under-hyped. Its the perfect clean feminine fragrance without being too sharp or soapy. For me I can’t smell so much peach. If its there then its very creamy like its been baked. It has a powdery and sparkly snell at the same time. Its very professional but also cosy. Its quite literally multi faceted as described on Chanel’s website. I can see this becoming my signature for sure. Its a perfect first chanel fragrance imo. Unless you are much younger then try mademoiselle. (I just find mademoiselle to be very fruity and floral with not much woody notes which i prefer.

I’ve had this in my collection since the day it came out in the late 90’s. It is a very sophicated scent in the Chanel way! I loved it in my 20 and love it now in my 60’s. I will always have this in my collections. Like others below, I prefer this to Coco Mademoiselle (which I sold not to long ago). I love the citrus vanilla scent on my skin and it lasts forever over 10+ hours. I recently found out that I love a peach note in a fragrance and that’s what makes this a fruity twist to me. Such a beautiful scent and sillage is amazing. Wore this to dinner the other night and got a lot of compliments! Chanel, please keep this in your collection (actually Chanel doesn’t discontinued as fast as some of the other designer brands) Highly recommended 10/10

Ohh Allure allure , absolutely stunning! It’s like a summer cocktail, you just wanna smell over and over. There’s lots of vanilla, quite unusual for Chanel ( not the sickening type) , magnolia and of course the main star is jasmine. Many people mentioned that they cannot smell any peach, that’s because is on the top notes, you get a hint of it at the very beginning but it doesn’t stay on. I know this might sound crazy but I dared to layer this one with Narciso Rodriguez’s for her EDP (pink bottle) and omg I’m hooked. I still have a bottle of the old formula, not vintage but early 2000s. Tried the new formulation, unfortunately it’s been watered down but not butchered. If used with body lotion and shower gel lasts a whole day or over.

A gorgeously sophisticated yet sexy womanly scent. it's gorgeous. Not powdery at all. the citrus and peach notes only are noticeable to my nose upon first initial spray. After 5 minutes it fades away for the florals and wood to take center stage. It's gorgeous and sweet. however it sucks for staying power. After like 3 hours it went from a 10 to a 3 and it stayed around a 2 on my body all night. Even at it's most potent it's not strong at all. It's a delicate scent which is nice. It will not leave a trail. It's an intimate fragrance. And it didn't irritate my migraines so i think it's a nice perfume. But for the price, hell no. Get this one on sale, it's not worth the full price. That being said though it is a gorgeous scent.

Ok so I get why people say Joy is similar to this one, but in my opinion, joy is way more powdery, which I do not appreciate. I have a batch from 2019 and 2013, and I must say the 2013 last longer and has better sillage. Usually I am really careful with vanilla in perfumes, because it has a tendency of making me feeling sick. In Allure everything is perfectly balanced. It is not overwhelming, yet not underwhelming. Sillage is great. I feel it is great for every occasion. EDIT 2022: Even though I thought I love it, I really don ́t reach for this one. I realized it IS actually powdery and it gives me headaches. My fiancé do not like this one a lot, says it is kind of a "old lady" vibe. I will sell 2 of my 3 bottles.... Sad...

For some reason it reminds me of Samsara by Guerlain which I absolutely love! Perhaps similar notes and era/time period and that creamy accord is a lot like what they use in Guerlain. This was my aunt's favorite among many others from the 90s and early 2000s. I loved her dearly but she has been gone for years now. I always stay away from Chanel since most perfumes are a big turn off for me but this one is so pleasant that I am considering getting it for myself. It is beautiful, floral, yet creamy, yet a bit woody. Something about it is addictive. I do think it is a bit overpriced like most Chanels but maybe I will find it on sale from a reputable place. On my list to get next.

This was an unexpected love for me. I’ve never given much attention to the Allure line, but I was in Sephora last weekend testing some new fragrances and I decided to pick this up, out of the blue, and give it a try. I sprayed some on and after walking around for a couple of hours I had to go back and buy a bottle. It’s absolutely beautiful. I’ve been wearing it nonstop since I picked it up. It’s warm and sensual, but not overwhelming. As other have mentioned, the peach and orange blend beautifully with the vanilla and the beautiful florals hang around in the background to tie everything together. This is one the best options from the house of Chanel, in my opinion.

Allure but amplified. It has all same qualities/ vibes as the OG, so I won't repeat what I wrote in my review of the OG, but in stronger doses so I dont overspray because SHE IS STRONG. Compared to the EDT, almost all of the ingredients listed above are enhanced, pushed to their limits, just enough to not get cloying, notably the peach, vanilla, mandarin and rose. Save it rather for the evening or cold temperatures and again IMO Allure EDP should be used sparingly. Personally I would use it for intimate occasions or something grand like a big big event, but not for every day. Still a masterpiece, but more special and therefore precious :)

This perfume was my all time favorite and it made my heart sing for years . I echo the reviews preceding me that the perfume has been stripped down to nothing and is an insult to consumers in its current state . Allure used to be rich and complex, somewhat subdued, and understated elegance and now it makes me wonder about the intellect of the captains of the Chanel ship . The last bottle I bought a year ago was so weak that I returned it and got a new one. The new one was also very weak and lasted barely an hour and I donated it to charity and have sworn off Chanel until they make a genuine commitment to quality .

My brother bought me this and I love it! A beautiful, slender, brunette ceo in the 90s, wearing a tailored, espresso-brown suit and stilettos. She has dark cherry lipstick and sallow cheeks, sweeped with mauve blush. Very feminine, refined and yet playful. Its gourmand but in Chanel character. So clean and appropriate with the beautiful clean patchouli. It’s warm and inviting, characteristically oriental and has excellent performance. The real beauty emerges in the ultimate dry down, where the subtle sweetness radiates in a dynamic and charming way with a sandalwood texture.

I think it's very feminine and elegant. To my nose, it doesn't really have a proper pyramid, as I don't perceive it evolving much on the skin, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I actually perceive it as consistent with its blending of notes as far as it lasts on me. It's mainly a honeyed peach combined with white flowers; I can't detect much vanilla, as it is very subtle here. The longevity is good, not extreme but still solid. It definitely has the vibes of the 1990s, but that's a plus to me - who doesn't enjoy a throwback to the years of their childhood?

Allure EDP is perfection(for me)! It’s the perfect creamy scent that stays all day, doesn’t choke people around me and it’s keeping me feeling like I’ve just stepped out of a shower and lotion-ed myself with something expensive. I’m not sure if it will work for the summer because where I live summers are gross, humid and hot as hell, but for any other season when temperatures are normal it’s amazing. The only thing I don’t like is the bottle design, doesn’t match the scent in my opinion, and also doesn’t match the Chanel brand but oh well!

Beautiful, ambery vanilla musk. I wore this masterpiece for years and I still swoon when I smell this on other ladies, it blends perfectly with my skin chemistry. Its perfectly balanced and expertly blended quality ingredients. This edp gives me the sexiestt creamiest, bourbon vanilla dry down of any fragrance on the market. This Allure edp is easily 10/10 for me it's Chanels Best, along with Allure Sensuelle. Great Everlasting Sillage and gets better over time!

I love this perfume so much that is why its my signature perfume. All the notes are so well blended that on my skin it's neither too sweet too floral nor too citrusy. Its comforting and soft on my skin soft not necessarily weak but soft that isn't screechy on my nose. It works well in any occasion or in any weather and season. Sillage is great and it last a long time on me. Overall it's a staple in my collection and i will always have a bottle on allure edp.

Allure's opening is fresh and heady citrus: it is sparkling and bright. As it dries, I can smell peach, a sweet peach that ripened under the Mediterranean sun. I then smell a subtle vanilla note which mixes beautifully with the white flowers and gives the perfume an elegant creaminess. Allure is beautifully Chanel: elegant, classic, a little linear but still incredibly relevant and enjoyable. It makes me think of gold jewelry 🍑🍊🍦✨️🤍

The edp is really an oriental vanilla while edt is a floral. Both are beautiful perfumes but I find the edp a lit more alluring. What I like most about both versions is that they are quite different. The vanilla is richer here than the edt and much more noticeable but so well balanced with the peach and florals. I wish Jacques Polge had also been in charge of the transition of the les exclusifs line from edt to edp.

This is THE PERFECT FRAGRANCE. I am referring to the 35 ml EDP version as could be found in 2010-12 in the local profumerie. Since a reformulation is mentioned in the tabs above, I could not vouch for it in its current formula. Prices seem strangely low for the fragrance, since I then paid it more than 90 € for the 35 ml bottle then. I would have expected more than €180 for the 35ml one. Maybe it's really different.

Absolutely beautiful! Truly! A very feminine, soft and pretty fragrance that is a real compliment getter. It’s warm but not musky, a little powdery but not choking. It makes me feel happy, and special. I will never be without this. I also have the body lotion which is simply divine and completes the aurora. There’s nothing not to like in my opinion. Has the Chanel DNA through and through. Simply wonderful 😍

The citrus and floral notes in the opening are sharp and briefly unappealing to my nose. However, the dry down is one of the best perfumes I've ever had the pleasure of smelling! It's such a bewitching, complex vanilla best suited for confident individuals. Allure is not the least bit cutesy or meek. It's poised and quite alluring, just like the name implies. ;) This one will always be in my collection.

As long as it is still sold, this will probably be my signature scent when I get older. Chanel does an incredible job of blending the fragrance in a way that there is no one prominent note that comes forward. I smell peach, citrus, some sweetness all combined in a very attractive perfume reminiscent of elegant femininity. I imagine a beautiful, put-together woman in her 30s/40s wearing it.

I left a review recently and wanted to come back and let folks know that Soap and Glory’s “Peach Please” lotion is FANTASTIC to layer under this!!! I’ve moisturized with it and have used Allure EDP, Allure Homme, and Allure Sensuelle over it with absolutely divine results. Just wanted to throw that out there! I’ve really come to enjoy the peach note in all of the Allures that have it. 🥀

This is a beautiful and sexy fragrance and very well blended. There's a soapy note in it that I really enjoy as well. However, I'm shocked at how similar Benetton Hot is to this, at a mere fraction of the price! And I believe Hot came on the market before Allure. Allure may be slightly more nuanced than Hot, but still, it's a great dupe if you're on a budget. Highly recommend both!

Difficult to define is definitely a good way to describe this scent! The first time I tried it, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. The second time... I grew to love it! The weird thing is I have no idea how to describe it. Usually I'd say it's Woody or floral or vanilla or fruity. This... I have no idea what it is. I can only say it's very unique, and I love it.

I mainly get the scents: peach, powdery and cedar. Very good sillage and a favorite of mine. Opposite to what some other reviewers here write (about it being outdated), I think it's both timeless, seductive and elegant. It's the kind of scent you can wear well at 20 as well as at 80, probably because of the mix of sparkling citrus and vanilla

Allure EDP is my signature scent. It is my be-all and end-all fragrance. It gives me deep satisfaction to finally have found "The One". It feels belittling to say it's part of my collection, as if it is a piece of something bigger. Because for me, Allure could stand alone. I would be happy if this is the only perfume I had. PERIOD.
