The classic Allure Homme is still the best fragrance from this series for me. I haven't had contact with it for many years, but I finally decided to bite the rather exaggerated price and got my own bottle. I received an older edition from 2016. I don't consider Allure a masterpiece of perfumery, even more - I can understand the voices of people who say it is banal, but it is a great fragrance for me. Extremely nostalgic, even romantic, very pleasant. When I smelled it after many years, I was transported to the carefree time of the end of the 90s and the beginning of the 2000s. I was a teenager then, such fragrances were fashionable and widely noticeable, so it is a "time machine" type fragrance. Today, such compositions are no longer created. Despite its superficial banality, Allure Homme is a rather unique fragrance, to this day I do not know any perfumes that are too similar. The only scent that seems a bit similar in terms of atmosphere is the classic Boss Bottled, also from the turn of the century. Perhaps it is the similarly presented creamy vanilla that makes them so close to each other in my opinion, but Allure is different, more creamy and complex, much better. The composition is constructed in such a way that it is difficult to pick out individual notes, they are so intertwined that they create an aromatic, citrus-creamy mass. The scent is very complex, universal in terms of the occasion and the age of the wearer. Certainly also synthetic, but in this case this syntheticity does not bother me at all. Honestly, I like it even more today than when it was at the peak of popularity. The parameters have never been its strong point, but in the case of at least my bottle it is very decent. Longevity of about 7-8 hours with a soft, quite subtle, but noticeable projection. For me it is enough. The only downside is the too high price. 9/10

This review is for the current formulation bought direct from the Chanel website. I wasn’t sure what to expect here. I think I was anticipating sweet, syrupy, possibly a little boozy and I was largely wrong. This fragrance is not a gourmand but it dances precariously close to the edge of being one. Likewise the sweetness is there but it doesn’t stray into sickly territory (Givenchy Pi or Jaipur Homme being examples of this). It is restrained but gives enough to provide that sense of “allure”. It's certainly aptly named! There is absolutely a hint of Estée Lauder’s discontinued Intuition for Men about this fragrance but the Chanel is done to a higher standard and less.....bubblegummy (look Ma I done made a word). I’m pleased with this addition to my collection. It is a beautifully done affair though I don’t doubt previous formulations carried a bit more magic - such is the world of fragrance these days. I'd have to agree that this is a great dumb-reach choice. Regardless of the setting and regardless of your age, this will do very nicely for you. I did spray this on in the evening after I'd showered - waking up the following morning I could still smell it on my skin. Longevity isn't therefore a problem for me. UPDATE: 20 Aug 2024 (from 17 Apr 2024) Of all the fragrances in my collection, including three Creeds (GIT, SMW, Himalaya), Cartier, multiple Guerlains and more, this is the one that has gotten the most recent compliments from a male colleague who said "I don't know what you're wearing but it smells really good" and today, a female colleague who said "who smells like that? It's like the smell of freshly pressed laundry......, clean". I chuckled to myself that the fragrances I've been wearing costing several times as much as my little 50ml bottle of this stuff, get not a word and this is the one that encourages compliments.

I remember sampling this when I bought my first bottle of Sport years and years ago and was torn between the 2 but Sport won because of the hype and I was younger. The older I get the more this OG of the Allure family is appreciated for is complexity and its timeless nature. Starts off with a sharp,zingy citrus ginger peach note that I didn't care for when I first got this. I would dare to says the opening is a touch 90's old school. BUT this starts to dry and it evolves better than any fragrance I have worn. Around 15-20 minutes in it’s become a creamy, spicy, woody masterpiece. The mix of woods, tonka and the amber blend so nicely with slight remnants of the top still adding just a touch of sweet citrus and the soft nuance of rose and spice holding it all together delicately. Just a touch of powder to smooth the edges in typical French perfume fashion. So addicting to smell myself in any situation wearing this. It’s appropriate for everyday all day all year and even at night. It is classy yet casual and will never be outdated. I have had all the flankers to this and still wear Sport and Blanche every now and then. Also first class scents but not as artistic or evolving as the OG. They actually are this scent but more simplistic. If you have smelled and liked any of the other flankers of this you will like this as well for sure! You are actually missing out if you have not tried. Just give it a few minutes to dry before you judge. 6-7 hours on skin with about 3 of soft projection in office or indoors. I can't think of any occasion where this would not be appropriate to wear. It's a classic IMO. Perfect signature scent 9/10

Oh my precious baby Allure Homme... THIS is and will continue to be my signature scent going on for 20 years now! The amount of memories tied to it are very special to me, so much so that I could write an essay on all of them in vivid detail (it's actually crazy how they take you on a literal life journey). Listen to me, this is timeless. 1999? Are you serious? Gosh this has aged so well! I remember the very early batches being stronger but not crazily so. The scent has stayed true to itself and the current batches are still a beautiful representation of what Chanel Allure Homme is and was. This is not a beast, nor is this fleeting. A beautiful citrusy vanilla that smells so clean and sophisticated, I haven't really found anything quite like it guys and I've sampled quite a few "similar" frags. I don't actually know how many bottles I've gone through over the years but I will continue buying it, I don't care about the cost to performance ratio like a lot of frag heads do because this IS alluring and to my nose it is just beautiful... Sure I like the more popular Bleu de Chanel and Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme but my pick from Chanel will always be the original Allure Homme. I wear it year round, I find it very versatile and not offensive in any way. If you've actually never tried this and are curious about it please do yourself a favour and go try this out... I still can't believe this is 25 years old. I'll always love and respect what they've done with this scent. A true gem of a fragrance forever and always.

Besides samples or decants, i dont have any full bottles of chanel. I already know and love basically all of their old school masculines, so i bought one i had very little experience with. I did NOT expect to fall in love lol. My bottle is from within a few years of its release from what i can tell, so prior to 2010 for sure but probably 1999-2004 or so. Ill do a full extensive review after wearing for a bit, but i can 100% reccomend this to almost anybody right now. Even younger people, this is old school classy but the other foot is planted firmly in the present. That huge note listing is no joke...i can pick out at least 75% of these notes at various times. Check ebay, theres people selling defect bottles for under 50 usd right now. (mine had the "A" kinda worn off on the bottle, ive verified that this has happened to other people with old bottles). At that price this is an absolute no brainer you can wear any time anywhere any season. And it smells $$$ too. P.s. no, this is not beastmode. Though i can certainly still smell the drydown on clothing even 24hrs later, its projection over its life is very polite...not terrible, but polite. It feels intentional on Polge's part, like pulling the lever more in any direction would have hurt the overall experience or perception of the fragrance. To be honest i feel like Polge saw the brief and said "this is my chance to make my own habit rouge while including all the innovation in perfumery since then". It really is that good.

At some point, we have to slow down—stop chasing novelty and ask more honest questions: Do I actually wear this? Do I love it? Does it feel like me? Or am I just chasing trends? Those questions bring me back to Chanel Allure Homme. I’m nearly finished with my bottle, and the fact that I’m even considering a replacement says more than any note breakdown ever could. This isn’t a fragrance that tries to impress on first spray. It doesn’t shout, flex, or follow trends. Instead, it quietly delivers what many fragrances promise but few achieve: balance, restraint, and quiet confidence. Allure Homme smells put together. Creamy citrus, soft spice, smooth woods—everything is blended with intention. It’s sophisticated without being stiff, masculine without posturing, and versatile without feeling generic. It works equally well in professional settings, casual moments, and intimate spaces. My wife loves it, which ultimately matters more than any compliment from a stranger. In a line often dominated by Eau Extrême, the original Allure Homme remains the true backbone of the range in my opinion—followed by Superleggera, Edition Blanche, Eau Extrême, then Allure Homme Sport. The original is the most complete, the most balanced, and the most distinctly Chanel. Needing another bottle tells me everything I need to know.

This is kind of a hidden gem. It hides out while his younger, but bigger brother Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme gets all the attention. I own both and I really feel like this one is better. This one smells like a very good men's cologne. That's it. Natural, well blended, a little creamy, a little fruity. But also grounded in something a bit earthy. I read a review a while ago on here that said maybe they got just a hint of cigarettes from this one? And I get that. It doesn't smell like cigarettes at all, but there is just a hint of something you could connect to that smell. The expected Chanel quality is there. And there is one note in this, which really makes it a bit more interesting than a generic cologne. And that is the PEACH! I love the peach in this! It's so charming and nice and I just want to keep smelling it. Longevity 3-4 hours for me in mild weather. It's a light scent. Projection is a foot or two maybe. This is a sleeper. It's very tasteful, high quality, gentlemanly, masculine, charming, and enjoyable. It is not an attention grabber. It would be best to wear this somewhat dressed up but could be worn casual. This one and Platinum Egoiste are the best Chanels for men that I've tried.

I first sprayed this sweet nectar of the Gods in 2019 and right away, I knew it was special—smooth, refined, effortlessly elegant. But for whatever reason, I dismissed it at the time and moved on. Fast forward, and here I am, circling back to it, only to realize how amazing it truly is. Released in 1999, it may be considered “old” by fragrance standards, but it hasn’t aged a day. The blend of fresh citrus, warm vanilla, tonka, and amber gives it a timeless sophistication. It’s subtle yet memorable, never loud, but it leaves an impression. Reformulation certainly has impacted performance, which is often mentioned as a downside. To the contrary however, I get about 3 hours of projection, with 6 to 7 hours of wear, which is right at about average by today's standards. Subsequently, I don't need this one to last 40 days and 40 nights for its intended purpose. I own all the flankers, and while they each have their strengths, this is the standout for me. Allure Homme is a quiet gem that deserves to be in the same conversations as Eau Extrême and Edition Blanche. I may be in the minority of people who actually prefer the Homme line over BDC. Don't sleep on this one.

One of my first higher end designer purchases. I think the fragrance is very versatile it has some depth for sure I have had people say it smells pleasant. it's kinda a sweet citrus woody thing going on. It's also blind buy safe due to its mass appeal. if you're just getting started in your fragrance journey this would be a great grab. Kind of a dumb reach frag you can wear it to work you can wear it in a more intimate setting.. it would offend no one and it smells very nice. Not sure what the guy below is speaking of but I just bought a new batch and I think the performance is fine. Guys its EDT concentration with a citrus opening ... it's not meant to be a frag that performs like a beast. True to chanel the performance isn't the best... maybe 5-6 hours before it becomes a skin scent. However I think that's ok for dates or an event or just going to work or doing errands. I have other frags that are superior now so my options are better but I still reach for this on occasion. I like this scent, there is something very addicting about the smell and it will always have a place in my collection! There are worse frags to invest in I assure you. 7.5/10

It doesn’t blast across a room. It lingers. Six to eight hours of steady, low-volume confidence. People don’t notice it until they’re close enough to matter. You can wear it anywhere. Work. Dinner. A red-eye flight. Alone in a hotel room at midnight. It’s effortless, and it makes you feel like you have nothing left to prove. If Egoiste was the loud statement, Allure Homme is what comes next. The quiet that says more than the words ever could.

I got this one back in 1999 when it first came out. It was love at first sight and it was my signature scent for 12 years. For a couple of years this was the only perfume in my bathroom. And when i was not using it I would use Allure Sport or Allure Edition Blanche. It's beautiful. Sensual, warm and fresh at the same time. The citrus and ginger makes it fresh at the same time tonka bean gives it depth and makes it woody. Very sophisticated, complex but also easy to wear. This perfume summarizes the first decade of the 21st century for me. I was in my 20s and early 30s and I had a great developement. But life moves on and I simply can't anymore. Studying, building a career, having a long serious relationship fall apart, becoming an Expat, moving back home, changing job 2-3 times, finally getting married etc etc. I wish I still could but I'm done with this one. I have moved on and after 3-4 years of searching I found other signature scents although I these days switch between 3 scents depending on mood. This trully is a masterpiece and i hope other men have as much joy with it as I ones did.

This is in desperate need to project for a longer time, in addition to remaining a skin scent for longer. I’d love to see this base’d out, or released in a higher concentration. Anyway, the smell itself is wonderful. You have everything you could ever want in a chanel. An invigorating citrus opening, a nice androgynous floral heart, an addictive tonka-vanilla drydown, all built upon the classic, amber-oriental chanel formula. This was made with finesse and certainly smells refined. The price is not terrible either. Where other mens’ Chanel releases like Bleu excel in citrus and woods, and Allure Homme Sport tends to be more aquatic, Eau Extreme in aromatics, Blanche emphasizes a single Lemon note... Allure Homme has the sweetest, softest, and roundest nature, all accords mash nicely. It’s versatile, totally inoffensive & innocent. I prefer to wear this for lounging around, grooming, or when going to public spaces in the daytime (like a cafe, grocery store, etc). Superbly balanced. Very memorable. Masculine. Can be signature. 8/10. (-1 for performance, -1 for slightly outdated smell)

This is one of those fragrances I fell in love with over many fragrances that I own, yes I’m talking about recent formulations. I read many bashing on the current formula but it honestly isn’t that bad especially for the ones that never tried it in the early 2000s. Performance varies from individual, but on my skin this fragrance lasts from the time I apply until the next day. I’m talking about 10 plus hours on skin. People saying longevity is 4 hours is just a joke at this point. I see fragrantica tends to attract trolls instead of actual enthusiasts that will give an honest opinion. Also there is a big difference in enthusiasts vs snobs on this website of people who only glorify the original formula from the 80s etc. Let’s be honest fragrances change all the time due to ingredient shortages and safety regulations. There isn’t much anyone can do. Do not ruin it for everyone because you can’t get your hands on a super rare discontinued bottle from the 90s. At the end of the day most fragrances gone through changes still maintain a similar identity and can be enjoyed by many.

I originally purchased this for my fiance about 5 years ago. At the time he didn't have a go-to cologne and I set about finding one for him. We both loved this one so I bought him a small bottle and he started wearing it most days. Then it started. No matter where he went, women were stopping to comment/ask about his cologne. And I seriously mean EVERYWHERE we went. They almost all say the same thing about it: that it's really familiar, comforting and sexy, but not overpowering All these years later he is still asked what he is wearing by both women and men on a regular basis. And to this day, whenever he comes home from work I can't resist burying my face in his neck just to get a sniff. It never gets old! It's not a I-just-wrangled-and-hog-tied-a-steer or I-play-every-sport-known-to-man-professionally type of cologne and it certainly isn't one of those overpowering obnoxious ones. (Ladies...you know what I'm talking about...) It think it's just such a wonderful classic scent that walks the fine line of masculine and feminine really beautifully.

This is yet another masterpiece from the GOAT, Jacques Polge. I’m always amazed at how he was able to constantly reinvent and set the trends at Chanel. From Antaeus all the way through BdC, so many of his perfumes set the standard for the entire industry in their era. This is, as many of his works are, a timeless scent. The combination of fresh citrus, fruits, and clean musks juxtaposed again warm spices, leather, and resins creates a scent that on paper shouldn’t work. The reality is, however, that it works extremely well and creates a scent that is just as the name suggests: alluring. Women love this scent, and it’s just as appropriate in a suit and tie as it is in a white t-shirt and jeans. If you have heard negative things about this one I urge you to go to your local department store and try it for yourself. This is one of my favorite designers ever, and is probably the one I have worn most over the years.

I went to the Chanel boutique to try out some of their mens fragrances. This is my least favorite out of the Allure Homme line. Starts off fruity, citrusy, vanilic, and a bit woody. Don't get me wrong, it smells pretty nice, but to my nose, I don't seem to vibe with the peach note in this fragrance. I much prefer the other flankers over this one. Lets talk about performance. I got around 4-6 hours on my skin with a soft-medium projection leaning more masculine. I recommend this for the winter, spring and fall. In my opinion, it's a little strong in the summer. Lastly, is it a safe blind buy? Im unsure. If you love the Allure Homme DNA, then you will love this. But if you don't like peachy scents in your fragrances, you might not like. Its best if you go try it and see if you like it or not. In conclusion: Scent: 7.5/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Projection: 6.5/10 Chanel Allure Homme: 7/10

This really is an incredible fragrance, in the top tiers of designers with absolutely no doubt. I have an older bottle but it doesnt seem like its been ruined in newer formulations. The basenotes will last on clothes til the next day (ambery oakmossy type thing left) but even my old one isnt a mega beast or anything with projection. This is complex like old school fragrances, however, yet it employs modern fragrance tricks (theres even an aquatic type note i get among the many others for example). Perhaps one of the most perfect showings of having one foot in the past and one foot in the future. Literally any adult guy can wear this without thinking twice. And attract attention, legitimately. Some people get a gourmand kinda vibe from this, i disagree. To me its extremely french and classically structured. Like a Guerlain or the like, but you can tell its Chanel in some way.

Busy borderline weird opening that is spicy soapy green warm fruity citrussy and sharp. In 15 minutes this transforms into a complex masterpiece. The drydown is magical fresh, fruity, creamy, peachy, sweet, soft, spicy, warm, powdery, woody, ambery vanilla. Layers upon layers. Perfectly balanced and blended. Beautiful oriental warm soft spicy sandalwood base. Smooth as fuck. Bold and masculine. Sophisticated and attractive. Alluring. One day it's more creamy fruity fresh warm vanilla, tomorrow it's more woody and spicy amber. Difficult to describe this fragrance, you have to test it for yourself. Incredible. Best in the Allure line. Timeless. Versatile easy to wear 4 seasons fragrance. Can wear this anywhere, any occasion, any attire. Work, date, or play. Performance is very good. 8+ hours longevity with moderate projection. Revives with body heat. 3-5 sprays. 10/10

Chanel Allure Homme is smooth as butter. Creamy citruses over vanilla, woods, and Chanel's signature musk... Excellent! This scent profile makes for an easy wearing experience. It's hyper-versatile, and signature scent worthy. For a fragrance that was released in 1999, this is still a banger. Jacques Polge was truly a visionary in the fragrance game. Now that I've gotten all the pleasantries out of the way and given Chanel their flowers... If you enjoy this fragrance and/or this DNA, do yourself a favor and sample Uden by Xerjoff. Uden takes this scent profile to another realm. The similarities are evident. However, Xerjoff's usage of higher quality ingredients is readily noticeable and with the addition of rum & coffee, this becomes regal. Uden is the superior choice in every way imaginable. Nevertheless, either option will be a great tool in any man's collection.

I wish to bask in this masterpiece forever. First, it is Spring. Total, unabashed Spring, Spring, Spring. Jilting bunnies, blooming freesias and roses and green leaves, sunlight beaming across the locale for a vibrant afternoon, tiny little birds chirping upon the rooftops, God smiling from above. I know the people say this is majority Fall. But no- Oh no! Do not be mistaken... this is Spring. Its for when the world hasn't decided if it should be cold or hot and it's so beautifully in between that period of space and time when Spring is just existing in a happy breather amongst the brutality of the seasons. The fresh crushed citrus fuck settles down into this creamy, wooden blanket of a vanilla foamy linen pillow and slaps a giant smile upon my face. It is so delicate yet so dynamic and oh my God, it is smashing.

Iconic eternal timeless best of top 10 fragrance of all time! :) For those days when you dress the most beautiful and the best - what your wardrobe have&holds! When you put on a watch from the collection for special occasions.. A model that is not the most familiar to everyone - but only to you and others like you, who are really connoisseurs... Then, for the cherry on top of the cake, this classic - beautiful enough for everyone, good and mysterious enough that most will be absolutely delighted by the smell - but at the same time, heaven has no idea what you have! After the end of the evening, in addition to compliments, it will surely remain in the fond memory of everyone who has smelled it on you! The other Allures are good - but this original first one has this eternal beautiful impression and soul!

I have only 4 different bottles of perfume because that's the way I like it and Allure is one of them. It may not be the most mind-blowing for a veteran fragrance enthusiast but for me it hits all the right spots. It's fabulous for both what it is and what it isn't. It's so well-rounded, it smells great but not precious, uncommon but not fanciful, sophisticated but not "perfumey", it's confident but not loud, masculine without rough edges, deep but light, mellow not syrupy, seductive not horny... I could keep going. And it's complex & subtle enough not to get boring. Such a clever perfume, if I kept only one it would probably be it. Well done Chanel. Cherry on top, it isn't particularly popular so it doesn't smell like random fraghead Joe, your girlfriend's ex or your Tiktoker nephew.

It took me some time because they are so pricey but I now have the entire Allure line of fragrances for men with the exclusion of superlegera which I don't have because I waited to late to buy it. Superlegera is nice as well but I'm very happy to own all 5 of the allure fragrances because I love every one of them and IMO all of them are just so classy and timeless. I have a fairly large collection some would say, but I buy my fragrances very strategically and smart so that I don't get into any debt and so far it has been working out very well for my wallet. But if I could only have one Allure fragrance I would have to go with the OG Allure Homme because it just brings me back to when my son was born and this fragrance was just released and I still own it and love it till this day❤️.

Just bought a 150ml after a few years of not owning it. I went through a few bottles over the years. I've experienced all the reformulation too. Is it as strong as my 2005 bottle? No. Is it still worth full retail? For 135€/150ml, absolutely! If it doesn't last all day, respray! (I have a mini 5ml spray for each of my fragrances. I advise everyone to do the same. Spray in the morning from the big bottle and take the mini in your pocket. Those empty mini sprays cost nothing on Amazon). This smell is so likeable and classy. The perfect scent when I don't want to think twice about what to wear. Dumb reach they say. But a very sofisticated one. Fits every weather, every occasion. From a gym session to a wedding. From a dinner with my parents to a torid date night. Yes, yes, yes!

This one is a masterpiece. One of my favourites of all time. Easy to wear in any time or occasion and any weather except for the absolute hottest days. Beautiful blend. The peach really sets this one apart but the more traditional citrus, lavendar and wood notes make it feel comforting and familiar. Performance I find to be pretty good for an EDT despite other's claims of reformulation. Projection is a little on the softer side but longevity is OK. Allure Homme has nothing in it that offends the nose and is a more mature smell but one that younger men can easily wear. People often comment that something smells really good when I wear this one. A birth year scent for me and one I will continue to buy as long as Chanel keeps making it!

This is something I will never get tired of - something I will esteem it forever. It has everything, and everything is harmoniously blended. The only problem, and it keeps becoming more and more painful, is the projection and longevity. It used to disappoint me before, but this time I was shocked: I bought a bottle 100ml from a official retail chain that I trust 100%, and the projection of about 50 cm lasts no more than 15–20 minutes. That’s honestly just sad. Nevertheless, I buy it a few days ago. I’ll wait a week or two, maybe it will change, and if it does I will definitely update my comment! Rose, amber, a touch of vanilla, slight faint hint of apple, non-intrusive creamy lavender. (And if you're drunk you can smell a combination of mandarine and very faint coconut if you want 😁.) Chemical concoction at its best (seriously)! A timeless golden oldy that slightly radiates cosy of the skin. Classy and modern-casual at the same time. Non intrusive with quite a good longevity. Still lovely after all those years. Layton by Parfums De Marly shares some of its dna but is much stronger, longer lasting and with a more pronounced apple-vanilla note. Both are quite linear. I prefer Alllure, but I'm over my 45's at the time of this writing (and I don't like to smell like apple pie) ... 😌.

This fragrance is remarkable ❤️, Jacques Polge did his thang with this fragrance. If you want a classic fragrance that it timeless then I recommend Allure Homme!! I'm so happy I ignored all the negatives that I heard about this fragrance!! Longevity and progection varies from person to person but on my skin it's great. This fragrance can be worn dressed up or down and it fits in most situations, work, church, school, gym. This is a 10/10 for me and I will give this fragrance the title of masterpiece!!! Don't listen to all the negatives about this fragrance just go out and try it for yourself and thank me later 😎.

This one is the best of the Allure series in my opinion. It definitely has a nostalgic smell to it, but definitely not old fashioned or your "smells like grandpa" kind of nostalgic. For me it accurately represent the 2000-2010 era. Easily wearable by younger men (18 and up) and very versatile (hard to offend people in any setting with this one). The scent is present but not to the point where it screams for attention. Best seasons to wear this gem would be spring/summer/fall (wearing it in the winter is also possible, but it will suffer more on the performance side). Jacques Polge knows his craft.

this was a reminder of why I got into the fragrance collecting game, absolute stunner. I love it. It’s fantastic masculine a bit old school a bit modern great signature good for any time in any weather and not to mention I just love the way it smells a peachy, zingy, warmed Tonka, black pepper, lavender, and woods, just great! If I had to sell off my entire collection right now and only keep five things this would be one of them. Now that being said this morning also was a bit controversial. I wouldn’t describe it as extremely massive appealing, but those who like it, will like it forever

Masterpiece of fragrance that many have tried to copy, but none have come close to the elegance, balance and quality of this fragrance. Every note feels intentional and like it belongs, everything works in harmony to create this creamy, citrusy, smooth, soapy and sexy fragrance that is also impossible to hate and one of the safest fragrances made. Nobody can hate this smell, it's a timeless classic and people will still pick the other allure homme flankers over this while this remains the king of the flankers the original is the best, unrivalled by EE, AHS and even Edition blanche

Masterpiece. It has some resemblance with boss bottled (not that they are similar, they are similar profiles if that makes more sense). It has, like BB, a fruity, clean, spicy sparkle while retaining creamy, woody sweet base. That what makes both fragances (Allure and BB) so likable, because they are clean and fresh while sweet & creamy at the same time, which is so likable and attractive. Makes me wonder if people that complains about performance are just trying to gatekeep this fragance, because its not a beast mode, but it pretty much lasts 8+ hours (with an edt behavior ofc).

10/10 fragrance from Chanel!! I love the Allure line of fragrances and I believe that this one is the most underrated. Good all year round fragrance that's classy, elegant and sophisticated. This is not a loud fragrance but it is present and I get whiffs of it throughout the day which is great for me because sometimes I want a fragrance that isn't too loud 📢!! This is great for the office, gym, church, or any place where your in close proximity with other people and I promise no one will be offended. A timeless fragrance that I will always have in my collection.

It's a crime what Allure is today. Obviously doesn't last as long but it just smells different. Gone is the peach note, which made Allure different than other masculine fragrances. This stuff used to PROJECT like a mofo. It was so strong it's the only cologne you would smell in a department store fragrance counter I'm a big fan of the brand but I can't believe they haven't made a decent flanker of the original. Allure for the past numerous years smells more like Perry Ellis M which is a decent Allure dupe, but just too cinnamon forward so it comes as harsh.

Big love and the best of the line. There’s a lot going on in this, so maybe some folks can find it overwhelming or too busy in the opening but once it settles down it’s fantastic. Dries down to a warm and bright amber fragrance, not too heavy or too sweet. The citrus and fruity elements stay with it till the dry down. This is long lasting overall, the ambery elements stick around all day but after 5 hours it sits very close and just gives off this warm airy bubble. Very versatile; day or night, any season, most any occasion (but not sporty), and any age.

This fragrance is awesome!! Wore this classic scent today and I must say it's a big love for me💓. I have a 3.4 oz bottle that I purchased at the Chanel boutique in San Jose but I regret not getting the 5.oz!! That's how good this fragrance is to me and the dry down is to die for. And it does have an alluring quality to it that I can't deny because this fragrance whispers and doesn't yell!! The suttelness of this fragrance is what I can appreciate about this fragrance, so for me I don't have performance issues or longevity issues out of this fragrance.

Lovely scent! The peach is really nice here, and the overall construction is really smooth. I get why they called it allure. The scent profile is subtle, there are no harsh edges to it. You get a whift of it, and you notice the peach, it smells great, there are other notes as well, you are not exactly sure what they are, you want to get closer and get another whift. This was made for those who prefer more smooth and rounded fragrances, rather than bold ones. The only downside is the perfromance, as with all chanels. Scent 8.5/10 Perfromance 5/10

I have currently 6 bottles(old formulation) 100ml of this, box pack and i guess all my life i will use this as it touches my soul and reminds me always of my Elder Brother who left us 4 years ago and went to heaven, he left to many unforgettable memories and this scent was one of them,i think i want to keep the presence of my beloved brother always around me and this scent takes me there,i know he watches us from up there. I use it my mom uses it and my dad to .No words to express. this is 10/10 Romail Misss U, R.I.P (1986-2011)

There is something about Chanel perfumery that I just can't quit. Their overall DNA has always drawn me in, be it Egoiste, Allure, Bleu, etc. This was my signature wear for years and I still find it "alluring" for all the right reasons. It's light, sweet, airy and savory... it wears close to the skin and wraps you in spicy ginger florals. It's great year round day or night, office or play and the wife adores it - which is enough for me. Could it be stronger? I suppose... but sometimes a solid skin scent is all you need. 10/10

CHANEL ALLURE 8/27/23 Bought my bottle from Macy's in 2022. First 6 months, I only got about 3 hours longevity. After 1.5 years now...I'm getting 5 hours longevity. I am guilty of accusing almost all colognes of being thin or weak from day one...but over time they all age and get stronger. Just part of its lifecycle. Just keep it out of light, heat, and bathroom...and it will do it's thing and age nicely. A real beauty this is. My son just started freshman year college. He will be getting his own bottle when he graduates.

This is almost a hidden gem now because of how popular Homme Sport has become. I'm 50/50 with gourmands, a lot of times to me they're far too sweet and/or lack depth. But this, there's like a hundred notes in here it feels like. And nothing feels too much or out of place, even with the wide variety. Ginger leather rose coconut, it all works nicely in the background to the lemon peach + spicy vanilla DNA. Feels quite elegant to me. Performance is just okay, it's not a beast by any stretch. I think I'm going 9/10.

This is Chanel at its best... classy and beautiful, you want a blind buy that you will love? This is it... I used to smell this in the early 2000’s when my dad wore it to work and man was it beautiful, it would last him all day, he would come home and still smell of the this beauty. It took me a while to pick it back up for some reason, but I’m glad I did. Sillage, projection isn’t everything, and this is proof that you don’t always need that. I will probably buy this for many years to come, class in a bottle.

This is a great, timeless fragrance. It has a sweetness that is still masculine - not like all the clubbing fragrances sweetness. There is also such a beautiful complexity to this fragrance giving it so many different vibes to pick up on while still being masterfully blended and cohesive. A fragrance for a gentleman. If you don’t mind that it is not the strongest performer then definitely check this out. Btw the sport version doesn’t smell as good as this one so do yourself a favor and check out this og. 9/10

This is by far my favorite Chanel fragrance. Its smooth, soft, powdery, and comforting, but still very masculine. There is a quiet confidence this profile evokes that, as far as I'm aware, hasn't been replicated by other fragrance houses. Allure Homme is a departure from the loud ambroxan heavy masculine scents that dominate the designer fragrance scene right now, and should absolutely be part of any classy gentleman's wardrobe. 9.5/10 - A "not so" hidden gem that deserves more love.

Okay for respect. Seems to suit an office atmosphere. Doesn't really impress the ladies like BDC EDP or AHSEE. AHSEE is more of a t-shirt fragrance and ladies like it while OG Allure Homme is more of a formal wear fragance but does not really appeal to the ladies. OG Allure Homme however is more likely to get favors done from males than AHSEE. Trying out Allure Homme Edition Blanche next to see if I should get a bottle of that or OG Allure Homme to complement my bottle of BDC EDP.

10/10 fragrance and I don't get poor performance or longevity on my skin because I keep hydrated with plenty of water 💦 daily and I keep my skin moisturized with lotion 🧴. And when I apply this fragrance I spray my skin and clothing which I believe is why I don't have longevity issues with this fragrance or any other fragrance for that matter. Allure homme was not created to be beast mode!! It was created to be alluring to the person that is next to you! Hence the name Allure.

I sampled this at duty free yesterday when i was helping my mother purchase Allure EDP (her signature scent), initially i felt Allure Homme was too "old fashioned" but i found myself repeatedly sniffing the sample strip, and felt it was so nice, cocooning, polished and fresh, definitely an easy wear and honestly not so "old-fashioned" but timeless. the next day (today) i caved and went to a Chanel boutique got a 50ml bottle :)

This smells really nice 🙂 I sampled this at the Chanel boutique and I really appreciate the opening and the dry down of this fragrance. I'm aware that this fragrance was launched in 1999 the year my son was born but I never smelled it back then to compare with today's formulation but I still love this scent. Creamy, sweet, classy dry down that's not loud at all!! I have to go back and ad this to my collection ❤️ 9/10 for me.
