Few fragrances we've seen released over the last few years have attracted the vitriol that BDC L'Exclusif has. It got an absolute hammering when it came out and the spittle and wide-eyed malevolence it attracts on the comments and reviews from some people shocked me. In my opinion, it is an absolutely majestic fragrance. I loved it from the moment it was thrust under my nose in Dubai Mall last year for the first time and I still do. It is of the BDC DNA for sure, but it is so far away removed from the EDP and EDT concentrations. It has this inimitable niche finesse. I'll try to explain it to you as if you've not smelt it. It just smells impossibly well put together and incredibly refined. There is some sticky amber dripped across some labdanum and one of the loveliest - I mean really, *really* good - sandalwoods you'll ever come across in the base. It sits atop a high castle of heavy, big money Ambroxan, fortified with powerful Iso E Super that gives it rock solid powerhouse performance. There is no freshness to it. There are no citruses in the head or aromatics in the middle but the echo of the BDCs is there, floating around the middle like the memory of yourself at the peak of your powers. This is about as good as a nighttime wearer Sandalwood-centric fragrance gets in my opinion. The only one I can think of offhand that gets anywhere near this of the same profile is Santal Precieux by Caron which is itself one of my all time favourites. This is darker and richer but wears similarly. L'Exclusif is not a daytime wearer really and doesn't have the universal wearability that its forebears have. Indeed, they are so different that I have no issue in recommending owning the EDP and the darker, even more sophisticated L'Exclusif for the evenings. I own both. The problem the fragrance community sometimes has is that there are sections of it that hate everything the designer mainstream does, everything they release. It gets absolutely demolished in the reviews in many cases without the reviewer trying it. Too expensive. Too short-lived. Too mainstream. Too derivative. Doesnt perform. Performs too much and is headache inducing. All that stuff. Is L'Exclusif overpriced? Probably. But I would contend that if I was going to pay $300+ for a designer with niche quality, it would be this one, Tuxedo by YSL and a few of the LVs. I'm almost glad it is very expensive because it means it will stay nicely away from the general mainstream and because of that will stay special. Things this special should be special. I get a huge kick out of wearing that that no other Chanel has ever given me. It is absolutely magnificent. A truly special fragrance. Three Word Summary: The Ultimate Sandalwood Layering suggestion: Try the EDP concentration of BDC over the top during the day. It is symphonic. Outfit suggestion: dark blue jeans, Loake dark brown suede Chelsea boots, fitted white button-down shirt, designer belt, dark blue jacket, pocket square, IWC Ingeneur 40 on a leather strap. Chanel's L'exclusif really is a stylish, attractive and solid performing fragrance. Its more than capable of being a worthy companion all year long and any occasion with perhaps better choices available only at the height of summer or a day at the beach! Apart from that it's very agreeable and more. I've always liked the Bleu de Chanel range and purchased the very first edt release many, many years ago. I never continued on with the evolution of this range though. Not for any specific reason but more that there were many scents to discover not to mention a huge amount of other blue fragrances and of course still are! Like everyone, I tried L'exclusif on release and felt it was nice but not quite worthy of the hefty pricetag for a designer fragrance. For some unknown reason, over recent times I've found myself being drawn back to this profile and in particular this scent. Which is a surprise to me as I have a decent collection with a fair few higher end and niche offerings as well a a fair amount of designer and middle east perfumes of all genres and prices. So why did I finally acquire a bottle of the most controversial release of the BDC range? After a little thought I realised that sometimes you just want something that is stylish enough to satisfy the artsy/artisan side of perfumery but also still allows you to wear it any time you want and in any scenario you might find yourself. The sweet spot of safeness, reliability and quality of a great house with enough flair to satisfy and offer just a little something extra to elevate it enough to distinguish itself from the crowd. The blue element is still easily identifiable of course but with this particular perfume there is the added sophistication of resinous, ambery and musky facets with just a touch of leather. The overall effect is a true mix of all these elements with something gently animalic occasionally showing It's never unpleasant though, it actually adds a lovely deep roundness to the overall aroma. This is the grown up version of BDC, probably more for older men 35 and above, well dressed and with a little more about them than the usual designer fragrance buyers! Performance is on a par with the profile of the target audience, solid projection for an hour or two. Around a metre at most initially then dropping back to half of that distance for at least another 6-7 hours. Sillage is equally elegant too, people will detect this as you pass by for pretty much a whole day and well into the evening. What I find is that it's performance and profile is enough to keep me and others interested but without the danger of fragrance fatigue that I sometimes get with high power, beast performance perfumes. Simply put; it's a high end, elegant fragrance that is a standout option for everything from the office to a family occasion or a special event and anything else you can think of. Currently available with a discount of around 20% in the UK, that pushes this into a more affordable bracket and definitely worthy of consideration.

The perfect Winter fragrance in my opinion. It stands the furthest apart from the rest of the Bleu de Chanel line. It's rich, mysterious, and sophisticated. This fragrance opens with warm spices and a bit of citrusy grapefruit but the spice doesn't come off sort of harsh like Sauvage Elixir, it's very smooth and blended together with the resinous amber and creamy woods rounding it out. That spice will begin to take a backseat after a short time and the Amber will take centerstage for a long duration of the fragrances lifespan. In the air you will mostly smell a rich dark amber, faint smoky leather coming from I assume the labdanum, creamy sandalwood and a bit of powderiness that rounds it all together. For how much the description of this fragrance sounds like it will be so thick and heavy it actually comes off as light and airy to the nose, which is what I think sets this apart from other amber forward fragrances like for example how the toffee and amber are done in Azzaro The Most Wanted, and Armani Stronger With You Intensely. They are so thick and goopy, too edible because of the toffee note. L'exclusif isn't comparable to all the 'amberwoods' and Stronger With You Copies that flood the market. There's definitely detectible notes in this that aren't listed, it's quite complex and uses high quality ingredients. I'd highly recommend getting your nose on it, and spraying ON SKIN, on test paper this comes off much more spicy to me, Which I think is a bad example of what it will actually smell like when you wear it. L'Exclusif Lasts a very long time, it will project very well for 3 hours, then lose its longer range projection through the rest of the day, it keeps a personal scent bubble around you for quite some time though. It will remain detectible up close to the skin for as long as Sauvage Elixir does on me. I'd recommend 1-2 sprays. The person I would see wearing this is someone quiet and reserved, mysterious and inquisitive. Maybe like Sherlock Holmes but without any ashy pipe smoke? idk. I wear this when I watch murder mystery movies because it just fits the vibe. if this sounds like something you'd be interested in I highly recommend trying it. Side Note: If Chanel reformulates this I will cry...

@Fragdiggeerrkr You're full of it mate, don't know what is going on in South Korea nor do I care enough to verify that claim but a less than 5 minutes check on ebay will reveal to you that the average re-sale price of NEW boxed/sealed bottles of L'Exclusif are selling for MORE than the current US retail price not less. I saw only one 60ml selling for $10 less, all others are selling for significantly more. You sound completely unhinged which makes one question your motives for your post. It's one thing to express your dislike for the fragrance which you are entitled to do(your preference is your preference) but it is another thing entirely to make grand proclamations of it being a "marketing scam" "garbage" and so on and so forth and then go on to support your wild claims with supposed massive resale drops in price in South Korea which no one is going to bother to verify unless they can speak/read Korean. All while a quick check on ebay(the market standard for resale prices) will not only debunk such a notion it will prove the exact opposite is true. Methinks you are the scammer here not Chanel, their prices are well in line and consistent with their general price structure relative to other brands and L'Exclusif is IMO(and many other people btw) either the best of the line or a very close second to the Parfum. Next time if you want to express your disdain for a fragrance try to refrain from making bogus unsubstantaited claims otherwise you will come off looking like a fool. Also why are you going so far out of your way to urge people not to buy this fragrance, what's it to you, have you no humility, are you all of a sudden the arbiter of what is of good quality and value so much so that you get to tell people what they should or should not buy? Stick to your own personal assesment of the fragrance(sans wild unsubstantiated claims) and if it has merit and resonates such that people refrain from purchasing the fragrance because of it, so be it, but it's up to them to decide what they should invest their money in NOT you to dicate to them.

First: the EDP concentration is my favourite fragrance. I have been looking for something that lasts longer than the EDP and isn't redundant. I decided to skip the parfum and go with this L'Exclusif, mostly to add variety to my collection. Every time I have smelled this in the stores, I've been impressed. I trust my nose: it's much darker, woody, creamy, formal and classy, yet the same Bleu de Chanel DNA. I was immediately impressed and drawn to it as soon as I tried it. The scent: Bleu de Chanel characteristics, but it is much more muted on the grapefruit/citrus front. It instead leads with a dark woodiness. There is a touch of smoke and dare I say, a hint of leather in this. Yes this is significantly more expensive than the parfum. Yes it's been a while since bleu de chanel has had an update. A lot of the sentiment is that it's overpriced, and you are right. Who is this for? I'd say Chanel won over some people like me who didn't want to buy both the EDP and the Parfum of the same line. Perhaps they figured out that if they made something "just" different enough, people would buy it. I don't really mind all that. I went ahead and bought L'Expensif. I think it's amazing, but an indulgence nonetheless. In isolation, it's a wonderful, long lasting fragrance. If this is your first purchase of BDC, I would recommend the EDP or the Parfum. Edit GF: My girlfriend likes this. She says "it is very classy, something you can wear at a formal event like a wedding or a gala. It's rich in a classy way. There's not a lot going on, it's a nice balance, very strong but not overpowering." Edit 1 month after: Personally the leather and smoke notes certainly pop. I adore this fragrance.

My first Chanel fragrance, I went to the mall and smelled the whole line and this is the one that spoke to me (Parfum being a close second). It’s very different from the rest of the lineup, it still has a slight blue “shower gel” vibe but it’s turned way down in favor of the darker and richer characteristics. It starts with lavender and muted citrus in the style of the parfum but quickly evolves, leathery labdanum is a great addition that adds a badboy cowboy type feel. Sandalwood is very strong throughout and creamy, I can also detect cedar to round out the woody accord. The amber is intense, masterfully done and there are slightly resinous & smokey vibes. This is a quite simple note breakdown but it is much more complex than it seems. All the notes come together to form a cohesive, complete fragrance that is usable 365 days a year. I love how it is mass appealing yet deep and complex, it is the perfect expression of BDC for me atleast. This fragrance is what I imagine Tom Ford would make if he was told to make a blue cologne, super romantic and seductive. The preformance is great and in line with most parfums, 8-12 hours and moderate sillage (2-4ft scent bubble) if you spray heavy you can fill rooms easily. I enjoy every aspect of this fragrance, even the bottle is attractive. I reccomend everyone to try it, and even though I paid $350 CAD I still feel it was worth it. I could’ve saved $100 by buying parfum, but the difference was big enough to me to justify the price. The added leathery notes and richer, deeper smell make it superior to me.

I first smelled this in Boots in UK when it first came out. Instantly this felt different, a dry, fresh, resinous woody fragrance. I own the EDP, which is more versatile. The L’Exclusive is drier, more sour, and leaning more towards autumn, winter, spring. It can dress up, but stretches to smart casual. It projects less than the EDP, but it has lift, and when heated up by your skin leaves a slight silage and prescience in a room. I do believe it’s probably aimed at people 30+ but who cares, wear what you would like. It stands out with a quality smell in regard to ingredients/compounds used. It’s pricey, but you will be using it less than say the EDP, and less people around will be wearing this one, if you decide to wear it. I’m going to a wedding in September and it’s a contender for the day. For me, it requires a repeat about 5 hours later if you still intend to smell like it. Inside I tend to wear 3-4 sprays for work. For a more casual event I’d Probo stretch to 6-8 sprays. It is fairly strong however, so I tend to spray away (behind ears,back of neck/head)- the sort of spraying where you become less nose blind than if you were spraying the front of your body/neck. I’ll stick a spray down the inside of my shirt if I want a cheeky sniff and not wanting to just get wafts throughout the day. It’s different enough to own both the EDP and this one, and is probably the cherry on top of the range in terms of price. It’s not needed, but it’s a privilege to own, as it’s contending with niche fragrances for price.

I purchased this after spending a full day with a sample, and it immediately resonated with me. The opening has a distinctive note that I’ve seen described by others as “Coca-Cola,” and I understand that comparison. It’s rich and slightly spiced, but not sweet in a playful way. After about an hour, the fragrance settles closer to the skin, hovering somewhere between intimate and arm’s-length. I do go nose-blind at times, but throughout the day I catch soft, reassuring wafts, and by evening there’s still a noticeable skin scent. Performance for me has been steady rather than dramatic — not a statement piece, but something that stays with you quietly. After buying this, I found myself wanting to explore Chanel more deeply, which has made choosing a true signature a bit challenging. At the moment, Sycomore is a strong contender for that role, but Bleu de Chanel Parfum is very much in the conversation. I do agree with the common criticism that it’s overpriced. That said, I justified the cost because I didn’t own any Bleu flankers, and I was looking for something that offers a similar sense of composed authority to what makes Sauvage Elixir so popular — just expressed in a much calmer, more restrained way. This feels less like a fragrance meant to impress others and more like one meant to support how I want to move through the world.

One of the most unique and defining DNA's in fragrance world got the worthy successor. As a BDC fan and admirer, for me the hate it gets just because of the price tag will never be justified. When it came out, I was super busy with my life as i almost forgot about BDC l'exclusif presentation and walked into the shop with my wife to restock my EDP version of it. But as soon as i saw this one and got it sprayed on the wrist i knew it belonged to my collection and was going to be one of my signature scents for special occasions and even my wife approved it straight forward. Have to yet get my hands on the 100ml bottle of it. Yes- it is expensive for a designer fragrance (260€ for 100ML), with no discounters but i cant get enough of this rich leathery amber which only gets better hour by hour and really grows onto me. Performance for me is as good as it was with Sauvage elixir not gonna lie. With 4 sprays i get 2 hours of very loud sillage, 8 hours of arm-length projection and a scent trail. Lasts longer( for days) on clothes and if oversprayed wont come off easily even after washing them. Safe blind buy? As long as you are willing to spend so much, why not. Cant be worn on warm days thats for sure. Best performer in the line but i have to express my disappointment for watering down the Parfum version just to make the customers buy the newer one... Will be difficult to get old batches of EDP and Parfum versions... Overall - a masterpiece of a fragrance worth to be in every collectors hands.

When I discovered Bleu de Chanel in 2012 I thought I was hit by a hammer. "I'm not going to be the person I'm expected to be any more". That fit like a glove. So I ran into the next Douglas Store in Stuttgart and bought a bottle. It was love at first sniff. The ladies loved it, I was happy, everything was awesome. The few flankers didn't really hit it. Le Parfum was ok, but it was too sweet in my opinion. Chanel sure treats its customers like royalty 🤴 so after a decade we get to enjoy the pinnacle of what is to expect from the line. I resent the bottle. It's heavy, clunky and just doesn't feel like a Chanel bottle. The fragrance develops linear as to be expected. I'm surprised to read about longevity... none of the Chanel fragrances make you stand out from the other side of the street. These fragrances are to be discovered. Closeness is the key. So whenever a sales person tries to sell me a Extrait concentration with the longevity myth, they get a smirk 😏 and that's that. I'm writing this because BdC had a huge impact on me. It transformed an entire industry into thinking fragrance new. They all wanted to have their blue fragrance. This is clearly Chanel. An Icon. Please you magnificent Chanel people, refrain from giving your fragrances another bottle like L'Exclusif ... it just doesn't feel right. Thank you 🙏 If you like my thoughts, hit the like 👍 button.

Wearing this today and man I forgot how much I enjoy it. I’ve had it since it launched last year and it’s easily my favorite from the whole line. It still carries that classic Bleu DNA with the fresh citrus and smooth woods, but everything feels darker, richer, and way more dense. The opening has that clean citrus and incense vibe, then it starts to warm up with amber woods, sandalwood, and a soft creamy sweetness. There is also this faint animalic leather touch sitting way in the background. You almost don’t notice it unless you are paying attention, but it adds a classy slightly rugged edge. It gets a lot of flack online for how expensive it is and honestly I get it. It is ridiculously expensive. But at the same time the quality is undeniable. Everything smells smoother, deeper, and more refined, and it has that elegance that Chanel is known for. Performance is solid for me. I get moderate projection for the first couple hours with a really nice sillage that hangs in the air when I walk by. Longevity sits right around eight hours on my skin and longer on clothes. Is it worth the price? I cannot really answer that for everyone. For me it was. But that is something you will have to decide for yourself.

Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusiv is a woody, ambery, and slightly balsamic fragrance. Its opening is ambery and citrusy, still reminiscent of other fragrances in the line, such as the Eau de Parfum and the Parfum. Interestingly, on my skin, this citrusy sensation—which I'm not sure comes from citrus notes or some kind of ginger accord, giving it a slightly lemony feel—lingers for quite a while, accompanied by the amber and sandalwood notes that have been characteristic of the entire line. As time passes, the woody accords become more prominent, along with a subtle leathery note, and this persists until the end of its development. L'Exclusiv can be an everyday fragrance, although I would prefer to reserve it for special or formal events. However, it's suitable for the office or any other work environment. For me, it would be best worn in spring, autumn, and winter, or in summer, but only at night. Its longevity has been good, better than the other Bleu fragrances, lasting over 9 hours on me, with a noticeable sillage, at least for those around you. I really like the scent; I would gladly wear it. My only complaint is that it's quite expensive. I'm not sure if I'll buy it right now, but I definitely love it.

I know people are really brainwashed by marketing when I see comments like "this is overpriced to me for a designer brand that is non-private line fragrance" To be honest I think niche fragrences should cost less than designers, a lot of Niche brands use B-list perfumers while designers hire the best perfumers in the world. Ingredients, don't get me started on this on one, for most of the time the quality 100% equal. BDC L'exclusif, now Chanel is actually giving you a hint with the name, it's an L'exclusif fragrance included in Chanels mainstream line BDC. Now let's talk about the fragrance: Smell is 10/10 Longevity is 10/10 Overall performance is 10/10 Same perfumer that made D&G the one made this one, Olivier is son of a legendary perfumer who retired as a in-house perfumer for Chanel and his son replaced him. We should be lucky this fragrance didn't cost more than it already does. If you think it's expensive now wait 2-3 years and you'll see the price go up like a rocket.

This stuff is good. Smells like BDC somehow and I don’t understand, but just way more amber. the labdanum is very leathery. Sandlewood comes in at the end but soft and creamy. At first it’s fresh, then leathery and dry, then it becomes a little spicy and throughout this all the warmth and sweetness and resinous amber keeps increasing. Very good for a night out, I don’t know if I’ll wear this to dinner though but if I do I’ll either wear only 1-2 sprays or take it with me to apply it after dinner. It smells addictive and alluring. I applied on skin around 12-1pm and I smelled it strong the next morning on my clothes and my neck. Contrary to popular opinion I love the bottle design. Yes It’s expensive but People spend $400+ on LV, YSL and Dior private lines etc. so even though this isn’t “private line” you can be assured that not many people will smell like you because of the price, and that’s something I can appreciate.

I received a sample from a perfume boutique in my country. After applying about three sprays and taking a deep breath, a sharp, woody sensation immediately pierced my senses. The wood notes are incredibly prominent, as is the amber. It reminds me of its predecessor, Bleu de Chanel Parfum, but stripped of the fresh opening and replaced with a dense, intense woodiness. Later on, I picked up a 100ml bottle, and it has since become a fragrance I truly love. The deep richness of the wood, the beauty of the amber, and the longevity are incredible. Just five sprays last on my skin all day, and on clothes, it would likely stay for a week. I understand some people might be disappointed that it doesn’t offer something entirely 'new,' but wait—I actually love that it doesn't abandon its wonderful heritage. It perfectly maintains the iconic Bleu de Chanel DNA.

My favorite in the BDC line. It doesn’t last long on me which makes the ROI low. Absolutely Love this profile, if it was beast mode with better sillage this would probably be my favorite scent. It just gives off this level of confidence when I have wore it but only for the first few hours. There are few alternatives that get close and last longer, but they are NOT 1:1. I want to love it but it’s not currently in my collection. A few others are holding this fragrance slot.... for now. This might sound like a bad review but it’s not, it just my real experience. There are many people out there who have had different experiences with the longevity so only take my review as a single experience. If it worked with my skin and lasted I’d own the biggest bottle they make (limited edition right? IYKYK right) and a backup in case of a reformulation.

I absolutely love this stuff. This has a very ambery powdery musky smell. It is an addictive smell. I find myself smelling my own scent trail throughout the day. I work in an office and it is very mass appealing and the scent bubble is inviting and warm. Although I would say that I do not recommend this for the summer. Is $275 a lot yes. Is it worth it. Yes. I also have seasons drift and its similar but not as deep. I also have the alexandria version blue memoire which also comes close but lacks longevity of this. I find this last on my skin about 10 hours. Great projection for about 3-4 hours and the it projects to close proximity within 1-2feet for hours 5-6 and then intimate but very much present after that. I love the blue exclusif DNA. Not at all similar to bdc EDP which I also own and love.

What does it smell like? To me, this smells like a fresh cool shower gel. Where would I wear it? I’d wear this for a night out with the wife, friends or family. How many sprays? I recommend around 6 sprays. Best season? Fall/Winter Safe blind buy? No, this is not your same BDC and I’d definitely recommend smelling it first. Final thoughts? This is a fragrance that should have been the Parfum. The L’exclusif option feels very stupid, and for the scent this is exactly what the Parfum should have been. Rating: 6/10 Would I buy it again? Bleu de Chanel L'Exclusif is the best in the Bleu de Chanel line and a masterpiece by Olivier Polge. As a someone who loves woody fragrances, this smells rich with an incredibly refined and smooth sandalwood in the base. It has a close DNA to the EDT and EDP, but with no citrus notes providing freshness, it isn't as versatile. It is a heavier and thicker fragrance suited towards an autumn evening or winter day, and I could see someone with class and elegance wearing this. However, unlike the EDT and EDP versions, I feel like this is more interesting, and rather than just an inoffensive, crowd-pleasing designer, it borders on niche quality with a distinct, sophisticated character. It is such a shame it has quite an expensive price point; I will have to settle for a decant.

bleu de chanel l'exclusif is this more woody, amber, slight animalic take on its DNA. the scent is still related to its predecessors EDP & parfum, but made it more classier and bolder in a way. in the opening you can still smell the classic bleu de chanel opening but minutes after it gets more woodier, denser, ambery and animalic. performance on this is insane. for the projection its pretty loud while the longevity is like 12+ hours, i fell asleep and still can smell it on my skin. another thing is i get why people say this is a bit similar to Le Lion because of that animalic touches. this is overpriced to me for a designer brand that is non-private line fragrance. though, if you really a fan of bleu de chanel in general well add this to your collection.

Definitely the most masculine and richest-smelling fragrance in the line to my nose. The dry down is where it really shines, showcasing its richer notes. Whenever I catch a whiff of it, it makes me feel the most mature out of all the Bleu de Chanel fragrances. A couple of days ago, I was smelling the atomizer, and it reminded me of something, but I couldn’t quite place it. Then it hit me—it smells like the interior of a brand-new car with leather seats. Such a wonderful scent. I will say that two sprays are all you need with this beast. It truly projects. Even a few hours in, I could still easily smell it in the air around me. I think this could absolutely be a signature scent. Just adjust the number of sprays based on the season and the occasion.

I’ll start this off by saying bdc parfum is one of my favorites in my collection of over 150 fragrances. This is at least just as good, maybe a little better. BDC parfum can be worn all year, but in the winter it feels a little off. L’exclusif makes it perfect for the colder weather. Not redundant to own both, they serve 2 different purposes while still having the same core dna. Not sure if I’d wear this in the heat, I just got it and it’s winter on the east coast, so it’s basically a perfect 10/10 daily scent right now, but I can see it being too much on a 90 degree day. To describe the smell, it’s BDC with Smokey incense, reminds me of the type from a midnight stroll by Gucci.

masterfully blended perfume, its far from a marketing scam, one of the best perfumes I have smelled in a while. Dna is the same with edp and parfum, dont expect something completely new but this one is resinous take on original. Not like dry ambre sultan kind of resins, but more like resins giving creamy, semi sweet and woody tone to the perfume along with sandalwood. Normally I dont like flankers but this one is serving a whole different purpose which you can wear at fall and winter, especially at night. I love all the work done Olivier Polge just like his legendary father, never disappoints.

I believe it is one the best fragrances ever made. The parfum has a clean-soapy vibe, but exclusif has sweetness characteristic to high class perfumes. Exclusif also has orientals and leather. In the beginning and mid the orientals and leather can be strong for some people. But wait it settles down and you get very alluring and attractive, high class smell. In the drydown leather and orientals go to background but still noticeable and bleu's character show more. But bleu character is not the same as parfum. Exclusif is more attractive and better smelling. Can be worn for important parties.

The opening notes have some chemical component that hits my sinuses so hard that I get a headache for half an hour, which unfortunatelly makes it impossible to wear it at all. The scent itself is very nice in middle/drydown but I can't stand that chemical attack in the opening. I see on the Internet that some other people have similar problem, so be careful - test it first. UPDATE: after cca one month, headache problem gone for the good (I used the perfume very discreet during that time). Not sure did my nose accommodated or that nasty "opening" chemical gone. Now, it is all settled !

I think it is by far the best BDC. Yes, the EDP is fresh and is very good, also more versatile. But here they have taken an already great DNA and just made it so deep and rich. The drydown is so good, people downvote this because it's "overpriced" while costing 15-20 bucks more than Dior elixir, and these fools happily pay 300++ for LV and Creed. But see the positive, it's an insanely good fragrance, and not that many people are going to wear it. Smell 10/10 Longevity 8.5/10 Sillage 7,8/10 Drydown 10/10 Price 8.5/10

I bought a bottle in October 2025 and I’ve worn it once...not sure why? I sprayed it this evening and the scent is excellent. Woody, masculine, resinous, ambery, but not completely dark or brooding...there’s something sweet and ever so slightly bright in this...I can’t pinpoint it. You can wear this during the day or evening across all seasons except for when it’s swampy hot outside. I’m very surprised by this scent and regret not wearing it more. 8.9/10

Most of the fragrances I use just doesn't last on my skin. This is my first ever Chanel fragrance and I have to say that I absolutely love it. I did smell BDC before, all of the variations, the Parfum was probably my favourite of them all until I smelled this and I just had to get it. It is my daily fragrance now, I get a lot of compliments wearing this and, pair it with the moisturiser and it will leave you smelling great all day long.

A mysterious and dark 'blue' scent that transitions to a rich leathery amber. A beautiful combination, very very good. Sauvage Elixir, one of my favourite ever perfumes, is my brother's signature & I've spent so much time looking for something like it, but different to call my own. This may well be it. Downsides; very pricey, and projection seems mediocre from my two weeks or so wearing. Also - best fragrance I've got for layering

I’ve only smelled the edp but this blows away that one in every way other than how the edp pops off my skin. This one sits closer because of the ramped up oil concentration. However this does project really well for a thicker fragrance. Great balance. 10/10 for me. Dark yet sweet. Alluring and clean. Woody and spicy. Masculine for sure and mature. Refined and elegant and relatable to the average guy.

Ambery smooth dry down, masculine. It has a warmth to it that draws you in. As someone who enjoys the strength of extraits I dont find this to be overpowering as other reviews would say. This doesnt have the greatest sillage but thats not what this fragarence is for. Its office safe, its luxurious, and in no ways challenging to appreciate. I think it would be appealing to anyone.

Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif is a refined, elegant fragrance that embodies sophistication. From the moment I first wore it, I was captivated by its smooth blend. Opening similar to the Parfum, but unlike the Parfum version, this leans more into the deeper, more refined woods, leathery and musky notes... creating a smooth sophisticated, but more intimate scent profile.

If this was in private line bottle nobody would call it overpriced, this is very high quality juice. I've tried all the dupes, you just can't replicate this scent cheaply in my opinion, too many naturals. I truly love this stuff, the drydown is immaculate, I never seek performance but it is very nice to have it last all day. Top 5 designers of all time for me.

To me, this starts out like Sauvage and then gets real powdery. The powder takes center stage and removes it from the Bleu category in my opinion. Its masterfully blended and not redundant at all to the other flankers. I get about 12 hours of arms length projection, and it doesn't get much better than that. It is my favorite of the line. 9.5/10

I love all BDC versions with the EXP being my favourite. I tried this at the duty free in Munich and fell in love with it. Quite pricey, but I have no concept of expense if you truly like something, but it. I have managed to get the price down to around £150 for the 100ml which is great, I'll be picking it up when I travel to Athen in June.

I loved L’Exclusif from the first spray at the Mazaya store in Egypt. It feels very polished and well put together. I tried it on a sunny morning out and it worked perfectly. To me, this is an all year round fragrance. It won’t let you down on a well dressed date night or a morning meeting, and it’s safe enough for an office setting too.

So I guess I’m a rare case when it comes to this one. I happen to love all the flankers. The original is probably my favorite but this one here is great. I get a hint of Le Lion with BDC Parfum. It’s my darker favorite of the line. It’s expensive but which Chanel isn’t? Definitely sample before you buy but for me I love it!!

I ran out of BDC Parfum a while ago and never bought another bottle. I was in Ulta yesterday and picked this up blindly. Took a shower this morning and gave this a full wear. I’m about 12 hours into it and it’s very reminiscent of BDC Parfum but a tad thicker and darker. Performance is spectacular. A win for me!!!

Already reviewed below but came to say that it became one of the perfumes I wear so often. Absolutely a masterful creation. Thank you Mr. Polge. Worth every penny. Warranted even back up bottles before any possible reformulation. It is that good. Saying once again it is far from the EDP and Parfum.

This parfum tells a story very mysterious gentlemen dressed in black with a hat. It's a seductive woody amber scent that leaves a nice scent Trial. My husband had this on and I was smell struck. I wander what this would smell like layered with Althair or Grand Soir .... 🤔 Sexy with a twist.

The fragrance starts out with a blast of fresh labdanum and dries down into a resinous, almost smoky amber scent. The longevity is great at about 9 hours. For me this is the best flanker in the Bleu de Chanel line, and in my opinion is in the top 5 for best designer releases of 2025. 8.5/10

Lasts longer than Creed Aventus Absolu, is cheaper than Creed Aventus Absolu, stays true to it's roots while Creed Aventus Absolu is dupe of Sauvage Elixir and yet here we are, people are calling this one "overpriced" while Creed Aventus Absolu is called a "masterpiece"....how? Just how?

BRUUUUUUUUH, as a woman I want to say just one word, if you're a man and want to steal a woman's heart please BUY this!!!!!! My all time favorite man's frag has been sauvage/sauvage elixir for so long, but this? PLEASE... Something about it is just so masculine and JUST amazing!

This is what the Parfum should have been years ago. While each BDC is slightly unique, imo, if you have 1 or 2 of them you got the essence of that brand. If you can only pick one, this is it. By far, the deepest and most complex and by far the best performer.

Update: I went to a Chanel Boutique and got my nose on Le Lion. L’exclusif smells like they blended BDC Parfum with Le Lion... and I absolutely love it! Hand’s down the best version of this DNA. Hat’s off to Polge, this is 🤌🏻🔥 P.S. I still hate the price.

I do own about 350 perfumes, niche & designer! This stuff is UNBELIEAVABLE, it smells divine and its blended to perfection! The scent trail that leaves behind is out of this world.- Smell 9,5/10 Longevity 8/10 Projection 7/10 Sillage 10/10

Just another office safe perfume with higher price tag. Nice BDC DNA in nicer bottle, that's it. It reminds me of Y Elixir in term of my high expectation that turns out to be underwhelming. Again, just another office safe fragrance.

I have a sample and omg the creamy wood note makes me cum and shed a tear at the same time and the warmness makes me feel like am in a warm wood cabin fuck i love this but the price is my only negative point about this perfume.
