Chance Eau de Parfum

I finally got the bottle of this iconic perfume. Happy to have it. And what can I say? It sounds very... classic. In a good way. And it makes this fragrance really versatile, which can easily be your signature scent. Will be absolutely fine for everyday use, and for all events possible. "Chance" is like a magic unicorn that gives you a different color every time you need it. It may give you sensual musk for a date. It can give you a ladyboss vibe with a pinch of pepper. It can refresh you in the morning with a sparkling citruses. This list is even bigger. It`s pyramid though is rich in pink pepper. It`s a very peppery perfume. I`m not sure how it became so popular, because not a lot of people really like this note. It can also sound masculine on somebody. It depends. You never know - just have to try it. However, "Chance" is something that you can easily tell it smells like Chanel. It has this beautiful bitter citrusy Chanel drydown. Sillage is absolutely majestic. The invisible "cloud" that "Chance" edp gives you, is elegant, yet sparkling like a true dimond. I remember my mom having a bottle of "Chance" back then, when I was this funny teenager girl who was always curious about mom`s perfumes. And when she wore "Chance" (usually with white summer dresses and fine jewelry), she seemed to me like an angel. And "Chanel Chance" is exactly how ANGELS smell to me. Not Biblical ones. But real women who are kindhearted and caring. This perfume is just... heavenly. I see why most people don`t get it (that`s ok) - "Chance" is really... striking... first few minutes. But after awhile.. it gives you something, that very rare pefrume can - a feeling of peace and perfection. P.S. Ladies and gentlemen. The older your "Chance" edp is, the more longlasting and "voluminous" it becomes. It stores perfectly. If you don`t mind it, try to leave your "Chance" alone for at least a few years. I promise you. You will be surprised.

This was one of my first full bottle perfumes I ever bought. I remember the original adverts on TV, it's currently on YouTube and titled "CHANCE, the 2003 Film with Anne Vyalitsyna: Venise – CHANEL Fragrance". It was of a youthful woman with light hair and freckles and she is gazing across to a crowd and catches the eye of a gorgeous man with beautiful eyes wearing a striped top, and suddenly they are hugging in a small boat. I remember being captivated by the advert and I ended up getting it from duty free the next time I went on holiday, I think I was probably only 13 or 14 or so at the time and it was maybe in 2005/2006? So it had been released for a few years already. I still have that original bottle because it's such a strong perfume, only 1-2 sprays needed and it lasts all day. The bottle is gorgeous, it felt very special to me as a teenager, I felt very grown up and glamorous with the sturdy round glass bottle and heavy silver metal lid. The fragrance itself is a hard to describe, like most Chanel fragrances it is extremely well blended. I get the aromatic pink pepper, the patchouli, I think the iris lends the powderiness and there is the musky vanilla base. It smells like a Chanel fragrance and it reminds me of being a young and carefree teenager. It's slightly masculine with the spicy pink pepper kick in the opening but I personally find it quite feminine. It smells nothing like the Chance Eau Fraiche with the green juicee or Eau Tendre with the pink juice. Eau Fraiche is extremely clean, citrus, fresh spicy and sporty for summer time. It's almost masculine. My Mum likes the Eau Tendre but it's nothing like this, it's a crisp white floral and no patchouli or muskiness.

I left a review when I first discovered it, but it’s become my absolute favorite perfume and my most worn. I guess my “signature” but I also wear many perfumes, it’s just the most worn. I can’t commend it enough. It’s simple but not basic, elegant but not stuffy, comfortable but not lazy. I can discern all the stages and I really do get a sense of every note. It wears fantastically on my skin, and I’ve received many compliments and even a few folks who mistook it for a “cologne” I guess because I am a man, and this fragrance does have a particular masculine edge. But it’s a golden gem. It also is one of the best performers I have. I get whiffs for hours. I know some find it basic, generic, perfumey...but I really don’t see that. I think it’s gorgeous, and really really well blended. I’ve gone through multiple bottles now. One funny thing I have to note is that when I think of beige and cashmere and perfume...I think of Chance EDP. I see an all black outfit (maybe a turtleneck) and a beige/camel jacket/blazer/trench coat and some gold jewelry. Most people mention the jasmine and patchouli. Jasmine I don’t get. Patchouli, I mean it’s obvious. It’s a patchouli scent. But it also is an Iris scent, it radiates on my skin. The opening is SPICY with that pink pepper, and it either stays for the duration a bit, or the patchouli is adding that spicyness. And I very much smell the vanilla and musk. It has an ambery-ness to it as well and definitely some powder but it’s not overdone imo. Randomly, someone said I smelled like chocolate cake batter, which I don’t smell. But, what a magical beauty! ✨ 🥀

This literally smells like money. Since I was a child, I remember my wealthy aunts smelling like this, but it doesn't smell like an old lady. It smells like a woman who embodies old money. What I perceive (though it might sound strange, but I mean it in a good way) is something like aged fruit, a touch of acidity, just a hint of sweetness, purple flowers, and I truly get a note of money, cash, real money. I don't know if it's because it reminds me of the money my aunts used to give me when I was a child, that would linger with their perfume. I repeat, it doesn't smell like an old lady. It also smells a bit like lipstick and the most expensive makeup. It smells like a serious woman going shopping at a luxury mall. I can just imagine Coco Chanel herself wearing this perfume. She's literally the woman I picture when I smell this perfume, but if she lived in this era. I can also imagine a woman with the style and poise of Carolina Herrera wearing it. It lasts and projects incredibly well. On clothes, it lasts for days! Once, sadly, a decant I took out to take on a trip broke, and the bathroom smelled like it until I did a deep clean. I love this perfume; it exudes class and opulence. This perfume is never on sale, and there must be a reason for that. If you want a dupe or something with the same vibe, try Amber Fusion by Zara. It's not identical at all, but it gives off a very similar vibe. It's also very nice, but if Amber Fusion smells like a thousand dollars, Chance smells like a million. Delightful.

I was on a journey of finding the perfect scent for myself, and I've found THE ONE, it's Chanel Chance EDP. I used to smell this scent when I was in high school and displeased it. However, after a couple of years, I took another "chance" and eventually, I've fallen in LOVE with it ever since. It opens with fresh and vibrant pink pepper and a tad bit of citrus (which isn't listed as one of the olfactory notes). Then floral notes come out, with Jasmine domination and finally a smooth musky patchouli heaven comes out in the dry down. The scent is long lasting but not too overpowering or overwhelming, as the silage is moderate. I can even smell it when I wash my hair in shower after a long day. Chance EDP is great for both day and night, suits every occasions from office work to a night out. You can rock this fragrance with a white t-shirt and jeans or a glamorous dress and feeling super confident and beautiful wearing this scent. It has the right amount of class, casualness and sexiness, radiates with sophistication but still easy to understand. I just can't get enough of it. It leans on pricier side of the market but believe me if you love the smell, you definitely get what you paid for. A forever piece in my collection for sure and can't wait to wear it through the new journeys in my life. I'm so into you, my one and only Chance EDP.

My special occasion perfume. I wear this on date nights with my husband, every Christmas Eve/day, my baby shower, birthday,..you get the point. It’s long lasting and just beautiful! My husband bought it for me Christmas of 2014 when we were still dating. It was my first Chanel. We had gone to the mall a few months before and he had offered to buy me a Chanel perfume. I absolutely adored Chance Eau Fraiche. Back then I wore Light blue and Versense religiously. He didn’t like it. He liked Chance EDP/EDT which I wasn’t fond of. I ended up not getting a perfume because I didn’t want him spending the money. When I opened my gift on Christmas and saw a Chanel box I was ecstatic. When I saw I didn’t get eau Fraiche I hid my disappointment (I know, very bad of me!) BUT I grew to LOVE this. My husband bought me the rest of the Chance line for Christmas the next year and still I prefer the EDP over the rest. The EDP is more distinct. The others have been done before. I wore this perfume the rest of 2014 and the majority of 2015 which was my year. I graduated college, got engaged, married, landed my first job as an RN. So much positivity in my life while wearing Chance EDP. So now I save it for those special occasions in my life <3 Plus of all my perfumes, this is my husbands favorite on me.

This... i have no words for this. I love it all, especially the pink pepper mixed with patchouli and musk. It is a feel good fragrance, but also a fragrance that has a sentimental value for me. Its a scent that if life has hitten you that this will surround you and say; get up, chin up and go on, everything will be put together. Life has given you another or multiple chances, do not get discouraged whatever happens. This my fragpeople, this is that scent for me, through good and bad times i will forever give this a chance to be mine :) Btw; it opens with very peppery notes (pink pepper) with the flowers and musk far away. Then i can smell the patchouli (which does remind me a little of allure sensuele which i also really like) mixed with the musk, and the peppery notes has tomed down but i can still smell it. In this stage it gets powdery but with a slightly fresh/woody undertone. I love this one and i have the same feelings as i described above about the eau fraiche of this line :) be ready to receive compliments with this (if it matches your skin chemistry ofcourse) Update 22/08/‘23: I just freakin love this! How can a perfume be so intoxicatingly good? Because of this fragrance i am now into patchouli/musky/peppery scents. I only wished it lasts longer.

Chance is really such an incredible fragrance. When I first sprayed it, I was really disappointed because it smelled like Coco Mad. Now don't get me wrong -- I grew to love Coco Mad -- but it has a tendency to turn dirty on me and become a patch bomb that makes it smell as though I haven't bathed. I love Coco Mad but she doesn't love me back. Chance, however? It opens like Coco Mad, but then as it dries, this wondrous simplicity takes over. The soft iris and indolic jasmine play together to create this undeniably feminine aura -- the sillage is intoxicating -- and it just smells, well, expensive. If you were to take every Chanel perfume in your mind and break them down to their barest, simplest bones, that' what this smells like. It smells like the DNA of Chanel all broken down together and then bottled. It's feminine, it's sophisticated, it's classy. Boys won't like it on you, grown men will -- but it's not a scent concerned with being sexy or sweet, it's a fragrance concerned simply with smelling rich and feminine in a way that is owned by the woman herself and not the male perception of it --- and I absolutely adore this. Bonus: it actually has decent sillage and longevity, something this house seems to really struggle with for no apparent reason.

I am incredibly impressed by every flanker of this line, absolutely stunning in their own way. Each is so beautifully blended. I am beginning to understand what everyone means when they say the "Chanel DNA"; it is as if every perfume has this shared characteristic underlying their individuality. Trust that they are well balanced, chic, classy, without fail: it just comes down to choosing your favourite version. This one is quite soft compared to others like Coco Mademoiselle and Gabrielle, but it is gorgeous. I'd say fall is most appropriate, if not a cold spring day. It has a lovely floral bouquet smell with a warmth. It doesn't smell like granny florals, or a "floral scent" in the way that kids strawberry shampoo smells like strawberry. It smells like actual flowers, with their green and dew and life. Very lovely. A little fresher and greener and less sweet than Gabrielle, another one I thoroughly enjoy. I can definitely recommend a test. I am just recently in my twenties and I would wear this, it doesn't smell too mature- there is a youthful element to it, but it would definitely be a special occasion scent, not a daily errand scent- but that is my personal preference as someone who typically wears clean, skin-type fragrances.

The reviewer before me said this almost gives a unisex vibe, and I have to agree. There is something "strong" about this scent but it clearly belongs on a woman. This was my signature scent for almost 6 years. And honestly it probably still is but I wear it more like once a week rather than every day. However that might be because I can't stop trying new frags. Back to the point, It's a stand out on the right person. A man once told me and I quote " you smell like heaven" if that's not why we wear fragrances then I don't know what is. You can smell the musk forsure, but it's not heavy or dated. It's alluring. Couple that with the jasmine, that's the note my skin seems to project the most, and right away I smell so good I'm almost unapproachable. Or so I've been told. You will smell expensive and put together, period. And men who are used to hitting on girls who wear bath and body works will know inexorably that you are far out of their league. PS. Pay attention to the country origin, the Made in France bottles are much more well blended and have better silliage than their US counterparts. Speaking from someone who is currently on bottle #4

now this, was the perfume that started my life long affair with fragrance. i smelt this when i was only a teenager and knew nothing about notes or perfumes but begged my dad to give me a bottle as a birthday gift ( i still have a lot left from that original bottle because it is such a special bottle to me lol) and i grew up to continue to love the notes in this - pink pepper, jasmine, patchouli and vanilla are to this date some of the notes my nose gravitates to and loves in perfumes. this is a gorgeous, bright, pretty, classy, rich smelling, put together, stunning stunning STUNNING perfume. this is for the woman that wants to have a strong, confident, yet beautiful presence. its not sexy or sugary or dark or anything polarising at all. to me, even today, a whiff on this on opening the bottle just brightens my whole week and puts a cheer in my step. also, i love catching whiffs of it as i wear it throughout the day. i have a very old formulation which projects and lasts like crazy and i dont know about the new ones?? but i think ill always have a bottle of this in my perfumes. majour love, first love, forever love

I don't know why I continue to neglect reviewing Chance, so I finally am here to address it. Well, if I had to summarize this I wouldn't hesitate to claim that this is the best Chance - none of the flankers are as nice to me, and I think this smells much more womanly and classy. The others are nice, I especially like Eau Fraiche, but the original has my vote and I would pick this if I ever purchase anything from this line. It's decidedly Chanel, and even though it contains pepper and patchouli, it *still* manages to smell cool and aloof. I'm truly not sure how...because those notes aren't cool toned to me whatsoever. Yes...it's soapy. Even detergent-y. I get the complaints, but I don't care. I think it's a gorgeous soap and it's nearly aggressively clean. I enjoy that in a perfume 😈 Maybe I'm demented, but when wearing this I feel like - 'I'm cleaner than thou.' 😏💅 It just has *that* attitude to it, but it's not overly fussier either. Very, very much an example of perfumery "Quit while you're ahead". It stays crisp, and not heavy. Love.

I’m usually a Coco Mademoiselle and Allure kind of person, so Chance Eau de Parfum by Chanel was a total blind buy for me—a real “take a chance” moment—and somehow it paid off. From the first spray, it felt softer and more easygoing compared to what I normally wear. Still very Chanel, still polished, but less sharp and more rounded. There’s this gentle sweetness and light floral vibe that just feels effortless, not trying too hard, not overpowering—just naturally put together. But what really got me is the dry down. That’s where I fell for it. It turns into this warm, slightly powdery, almost creamy scent that feels super comforting on my skin. It’s the kind of scent that makes you want to keep smelling your wrist without even realizing. It doesn’t shout, it just stays close, soft, and really personal. Compared to Mademoiselle and Allure, this one feels more relaxed, more intimate. I don’t wear it to make a statement—I wear it because it makes me feel good. That dry down especially... it just hits different.

This scent is very fresh and floral, I think the pink pepper and the patchouli give it a bit of a different edge that most basic floral scents don’t have, because while it isn’t too complex a scent, it is not very simple either. I found it has has what I would call mild to moderate lasting power. I think it would be a good everyday or non offensive work scent. I think it is a likeable, non offensive scent that most people would enjoy. I would prefer if the edp was a little stronger, because, it seems more like an edt to my nose and on my skin, (even though I’ve heard the edp and edts smell very different alongside each other). But it has the lasting power of a very mild edp, Or a moderate edt) but aside from that, it is a very fresh, easily to like scent. It’s one of those bottles I’ll find myself grabbing when I don’t know what to wear because it is so likeable and non offensive. I don’t think many people would dislike this, although it is not amazing for a Chanel perfume either.

This fragrance is a real love for me. I can say for sure that will be forever in my collection. It has a hint of sweetness but not too sweet, a hint of flowers but not a classic floral scent and the pink pepper its blended with all the other notes and is present during all the stages of the fragrance. I don't know how this fragrance, without being complicated or smth totally different, can even though manage to be so so addictive by its simplicity. Its elegant, warm and soft. Saying that it is soft, you may wrongly believe that is a weak/moderate fragrance in terms of lasting power, but not. Its an absolute 10 out of 10. Stays during all day, +12 hours. I can smell myself ALL day, and when I spray to the hairs, I can smell it next morning. In terms of projection, is moderate but its quite normal. We talk about chanel. There is no such a thing as strong sillage in chanel. Its all about being elegant, not loud. After finishing my 35 ml bottle, i will go for sure for a 100 ml one.

I bought this perfume to pamper myself after the university exam. I say I bought it well because it is one of the most classic and sophisticated scents to own. It is not a scent that a high school girl can use much, but it is an ideal perfume for a university girl. It can be used especially when going somewhere with girls. A real young teacher or young mother can carry this perfume well.. I've already seen my teachers use this motherly scent before. I think it is suitable for blind buy since it doesnt have sharp or unique smell but I think it is unnecessary to buy a perfume if a person doesnt like going a store and trying scents. A wonderful spring day scent. It makes me nauseous in the summer, and in winter I can't smell it. Its durability is very good, it stays on me longer than twelve hours, but I can't say the same for its silage. A very sophisticated and classy perfume. Goes well with the pink dress. 7.5/10

An old love rediscovered ! Just bought a new bottle of chance edp and I am head over heals. This is all class and freshness all in one. Champagne please !!!! I way prefer this to coco Mademoiselle which I find a little too earthy , dirty and patchouli heavy . Mademoiselle is a love /hate for me. Just like angel. Ist a sweet patchouli mossy earthy scent. Chance edp is similar but more refind , cleaner , less sweet and it’s fresher !! It’s a perfected coco mad in my opinion. Chance edp is my favourite chance. Edt is nice but thinner , less sweet. Less rounded. It’s almost a mix between eau freche and Chance edp. Husband loves this one. He says soapy clean fresh and really good. ( his exact words ) Also I should be mention how similar this is to Accento by Xerjoff !! I bought Accento a few weeks ago and it reminded me of chance a lot. So I re purchased chance !! Accento is AMAZING!!!!!

I used Gucci Rush for years and decided I wanted a change, but I had no idea where to even begin. I posted here looking for suggestions and was pointed towards Chance. I absolutely love it! The pink pepper is amazing right out of the bottle, there is no alcohol smell before it dries down. My favorite thing about Chance is that it changes thru the day, sometimes I get a wiff of floral, sometimes its the patchouli, sometimes I smell the pink pepper like I just sprayed it. It lasts and lasts, and I have gotten so many compliments on it. Hands down my new signature scent, I absolutely adore it. Huge thank you to all of you who responded to my post and suggested it.. As a side note, I have picked up a few others Good Girl, L'inderdit, Delina Exclusif and I like them, but the Chance is still my favorite by a mile.

My current parfume love. It smells like wealth, sophistication and confidence. I would love to use it more often but it is too expensive for that so I reach for it only on special occasions and when I need some self-esteem boost. I had run out of it about a year ago and got a new bottle a few weeks ago and was surprised to find it doesn't last quite as long on my skin as I remembered. Well, maybe I just need to let it sit for a while to improve longevity - I refuse to accept I paid this much for a fragrance with average only lasting power. Edit: rest assured, the performance is nuclear just as I remembered. After letting the perfume sit for a few weeks everything is all right with it. It lasts 24+ hours on my skin with decent sillage. With 3-4 sprays you will be set for the whole day.

I was introduced to this perfume by my mom's blind purchase. My first experience with it was...headache inducing to say the least, but for some reason i felt like going back to it. And so when i did, i just fell in looooove with it! Perfumes smell very different on me than on my mom so i just had to get used to it. I can strongly smell the musk along with the pink pepper. I was usually scared of these notes as my body chemistry makes almost every perfume almost too peppery...spicy lets say. But this is just...every time i smell myself with it on i just love it more and more. Not the kind of perfume to stay on your clothes but you can definitely smell it on your skin after hours passed. Became my signature perfume in no time!

I forgot how amazing this was! Chanel Chance is truly a remarkable perfume that will have its place in perfume history forever. This is a perfume of a beautiful woman, not a sexy one, but a beautiful, radiant, and very confident woman. It truly is not for everyone as the musky patchouli notes here are very distinct. My beautiful sister used to wear Coco Mademoiselle very often so as I know these two scents well, to me this doesn't smell anything like it. This scent makes me feel very luxurious, it has this expensive aura. Sillage and longevity of this perfume don't need any comments - just perfect! I am forever a fan of Jacques Polge creations for Chanel. Truly a remarkable perfumer with an amazing style and vision!

This has been my favourite for evenings out for a while now. I first sniffed it at an evening work outing where a colleague had a bottle with her and gave me a spray, I was immediately obsessed. Now that I have my own, I always wear it going out and love how it smells on me, and on my clothes. It's a good one for scarves! It's probably better for autumn/fall and winter, but I wear it all year round. I'm terrible at picking out and recognising notes so I won't bother getting into that, I just know that this makes me feel glamourous, classy and confident. It lasts me all evening, and if I spray it on any of my clothes I can still smell it days later (which I love).

So, so beautiful. Strong patchouli and very musky, though easy for lots to love, might not be for everyone- I wouldn't blind buy. It's so classy, peppery, with delicate sweetness. I find it gets better after a month or two from opening, so don't get discouraged right away if it's too sour or sharp, that was my initial thought but it changed rather quickly. I now wear it everywhere- errands, dinners, dates, at home.. I just love it. I don't find it obvious, or overused, it's just always the right choice! The bottle is just as pretty, and the darkening-with-time liquid is such a beautiful contrast to that shiny Chanel silver. Lasts well, projects well, I love it

I have had this for awhile but never really reached for it. Yesterday I decided to pull it out of my stash. I sprayed this on at 1:00 p.m. and after a few hours, I ventured outside into the 90-degree heat. All of a sudden I got this rich aroma and thought there was a blooming tree nearby. Nope. It was the glorious scent of Chance! It was amazing and I have never experienced this before! I suppose it never really seemed like a summer scent due to its richness, but -- I was wrong! Just fabulous in the dry desert heat of the day! Who knew??? I found a new love in Chanel EDP -- and I don't even have to buy a new bottle! :) Happy Memorial Weekend everyone!

This is my signature scent. It took me years to smell it because Chanel No 5 scared me off all Chanel fragrances. While I am learning more about notes and expanding my tastes in perfumes, I keep coming back to this one. The dry down on me just works. The original tends to get overshadowed a lot by Eau Tendre. Eau Tendre is a beautiful fragrance, but something about the original works really well with my body chemistry. I have heard from some with far more trained noses that you have to have a particular pH to pull it off, so I'm in that category. I get a lot of the pink pepper and patchouli in this. It's very in line with the Chanel DNA.

Wow, just wow! I didn't know that a patchouli that I love existed before spraying this. To me the patchouli in it is very clean, airy and sophisticated, not dirty, loud and nose itch inducing like in other fragrances. Just wow. I'm not sure if this is a fragrance for me as I've mostly smelled it (or probably sth similar?) on older women and associate it with maturity, wisdom and sophistication. It's also hyper feminine to my nose and I'm not it atm. I'll try wearing it again in a few years and see if it fits me better. For now I'm hoping to smell it on others as this is simply amazing!

5 years ago I would have turned my nose up at this perfume and reached for it's flanker Eau Tendre instead. Now, I am reaching for the OG. Like one of the reviewers said before, this really is great in September all the way to March. The bright and sophisticated opening is elegant yet fresh and the dry down is so comforting and delicious. This has amazing staying power for me as it lasts over 8 hours when you consider how beautifully delicate it sits close to the skin at the 8 hour mark. I can't get enough of the dry down. Perfectly feminine vanilla, patchouli and musk.

One of the best scents ever created. Sparkling, fresh, floral, feminine and long lasting with elegant projection and a soft trail. It does not smell like the parts rather they play Chance, a new quality. The top is carefree, fresh and green, the heart luscious floral and the base classy and attractive. One of my all time favourites that guarantees I will feel and smell nice. A cousin to Coco Mademoiselle. They always feel similar but still have their own character. Chance is fresher, greener and more citrus despite it being not listed. It shines like a diamond.

This is my special events fragrance. New Years, my birthday, and so on and I tend to use this at night. Today I received my second bottle as a gif, which I can't be happier about because I adore this perfume. You know when a perfume comes from a house like Chanel, you know you are gonna smell luxurious and complex, not the sweet ball explosion from other houses. This is a mature fragrance that screams "great taste" and smells pleasant to most noses. So yeah, 12 years loving this, although is not my signature fragrance, it is on the top for sure.

This fragrance is incredibly complex. I’ve worn it for a year and a half and on myself it’s a peppery, patchouli musky bomb with a touch of vanilla in the base. I enjoyed wearing it and still love it, it smells very classy and expensive. My mum recently borrowed it and I was blown away at how it smelt on her. Absolutely stunning, for the first time I could smell the jasmine and powdery iris. It was beautiful. I’ve never picked up on those notes when I’ve worn it myself but she said she could always smell them on me so it’s quite interesting.

To me, Chance is all airy, light, sweet powder. Softly spicy, softly floral, softly woody; soft, soft, soft. There's sophistication here, but it's demure; the overall impression is soft, clean, and pleasant. Like ballet flats and pearl earrings. Charismatic and feminine fragrance, created in 2005 by the great master Jacques Polge. The opening note of pink pepper is lively, dominant, exuberant, releasing floral hints of rose, jasmine and iris magically fused with a note of refined and superb amber patchouli. Fragrance that blends with enveloping and reassuring white musks and sweet, non-gourmand notes of sophisticated vanilla. Fragrance with character, determined, but also creamy and rounded. Fragrance that lingers on the skin, with a surprising evolution.

This will forever be a favorite of mine. In my opinion the best Chanel fragrance ever made. Reminds me of my adolescence since I had the edt version when I was a teenager. Very classy fragrance. Not sweet or cloying. Fresh, classy, sophisticated, rich, old money type of scent. More of an oriental fragrance. This is Chanel but for the modern women. The patchouli is not strong but the fragrance lasts all day. You will get compliments from this. I feel like it’s great for everyday or any occasion really.

This is the Perfect all season, all occasions perfume. It works with everything and it’s a complement getter. I love sweet fragrances but this is a neutral scent. On me I pull lots of the jasmine, musk and definitely the vanilla comes through, It’s very feminine and classy. This is a safe blind buy for Mama, Aunty, Sister, Wife and I think even baba. This is one of the only perfumes I feel truly confident in and put together and my husband picked this and loves it so it’s a win. 10 out if 10 ❤️

Lasts 2 days on my skin. It is spacious, clean, juicy, elegant and refined. The notes do not seem groundbreaking, but the scent is done with extreme artistry. It is versatile, fits every season or time of a day. Often a comfort scent. To know quality is with me. It is quite similar to Coco Mademoiselle in some aspects, and yet it is worthy of attention on its own. The performance of the original formulas on me is shocking. Every second is great, and it lasts and lasts in a proper sillage.

Enormous Sillage u gonna kill any other fragrance in the room literally insane u r not spraying a perfume u r just activating a sillage nuke... but longevity?? 9 hrs minimum 24 hrs maximum ... the scent?? Ahh just classy french ladies woody pretty firty patchouli scents { chanel’s signature } but the musk here is really helping the fragrance to be more acceptable jasmine and iris undertone really good also the first 50 min is just masculine citrusy peppery ultra masculine smell ! 8/10

Wet, emerald green patchouli and musk explosion. Round, somewhat medicinal, incredibly refreshing. It has a unisex vibe to me, in a way – the Chanel signature is there, but in a "start of the millenium way". It reminds me of the time it came out, and smelling it thinking about that context is really nice. It could be worn by anyone to be honest, regardless of age and that sort of thing. A really contemporary smelling scent still, makes me want to try all the flankers.

I really enjoy the divine scent of pink pepper, musk and patchouli from Chanel Chance, it is not so heavy to the point that it is safe for work. However, I wish a bit more depth, complexity and intensity of notes are added to make it more long-lasting, otherwise, I need to macerate it. Otherwise, I layer the perfumes I already have. It lasts me 6+ hours on the skin until it turns into a skin scent, depending on how much spritzes and lasts for days on clothes.

Such a beautiful and sophisticated fragrance. I really can’t imagine anyone not loving it. It is true that it is similar to Coco Mademoiselle but Chance EdP isn’t as sweet or as citrusy. I have Chance, CM and Eau Tendre EdP and I tend to wear this one the most. I’ve recently been gifted Eau Fraîche and I can see it becoming my daily scent in the summer months. To me, Chance has a special autumnal aura. I absolutely adore it.

My dad got me this for Christmas circa 2009 so it will forever remind me of him. It's a fresh but musky, sweetly elegant scent that any age can wear, teenager or in your 80s. It is lovely for a day at the office or a wedding or just a coffee date too. This really is one of those 'wear at any age at any time' scents. It has become a bit too popular for me so I won't get the full bottle once I use up my sample!

I always crave it in the autumn/ winter days. Boosts my mood with it’s sparkly citrusy and spicy opening and I found myself always grabbing it when I don’t feel physically fit like being tired and having a headache from the tiredness- no joke, it’s working wonders and energizes instantly. I wonder if anyone else has experienced that. I think it’s a good layering fragrance aswell, especially with Valaya PDM

To me, this smells like money. I remember sampling it in the mall when I was a high schooler and falling in love. It's very strong and long lasting, so much so that I buy a few sample sizes and they last me forever. I put it on when I want to feel expensive, or if I'm going somewhere upscale and want to fit in. I wouldn't call it sexy, exactly, but it's confident. I imagine a CEO wearing this.

The only fragrance i can easily detect and list all the notes, not too complex but not basic at all. If i had to use just one word to describe Chance edp; it would be sophisticated. Everyone can wear anything but i think this one goes well with a woman over the age of 30 who wears tweed. Just like iconic tweed chanel creations. Pearls and brooches. Elegancy at its best 🌸

I had the edt when I was younger in high school when it first came out. Now that I’m older I think I want the EDP for nostalgic reasons. I adore the original chance it’s such a beautiful, timeless, classy and classic fragrance. Edit! Yes! It’s everything I remember and even more! I’m so glad that I got this again! Very elegant, nostalgic, classy, boss bitchy fragrance!

This is by far my most long lasting perfume. You barely need to spray any to get a great amount of projection and longevity. It’s a wonderful powdery, musky scent with unmistakable Chanel DNA. If you want that Chanel DNA, the performance and the classy vibe that Chanel perfumes give off, but want something younger, fresher than No 5, this is the perfume to go for.

This is the first perfume I ever bought when I was like 13 years old and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I still love it to this day. It has such a nostalgic feel to it, in a very happy and uplifting way. It's timeless, classic, goes with every outfit and any occasion. There is just something so special about this fragrance.

I wore the edt and the edp. This one (edp) smells more like Chanel, the aldehydes are more present and the edt is fresher and youthful. They have the same notes, but to me this feels a bit more dry and serious whereas the edt feels lighter and bubblier. I love them both. Same uplifting feeling when I wear both of them.

My sister gifted me this.. I was having the worst day ever and she thought of me and my love for fragrance. Surprisingly it’s an amazing scent and wonderful gift ❤️. A beautiful sophisticated vanilla with a slight spicy undertone... 2 to 3 sprays is all you need. I will always keep this in my collection.

A friend gifted me a sample vial of this because she knew I wanted to try it. I fell in love. Fresh, elegant, not too sweet and a hint of spice. I may be in the minority, but I think I prefer Chance over Coco Mademoiselle. It suits me perfectly, and I am saving up for a full bottle :)

Chance is my favorite (semi-)modern Chanel, together with Eau Premiere. Unapologetically loud and fun! It's a pleasure to wear this opaque cloud of patchouli, pepper and pineapple. It gives me the same exciting feeling that Gucci Rush does. Both are very electric and neon perfumes.
