Chanel No 5 Parfum Red Edition

I have the regular version of Chanel No 5 and this Red version, and they are definitely not the same perfume. Even looking at the list of notes, one can determine that they are quite different. The red version is more modern, opulent, and rose-forward; I'd call it more flowery, almost??? Regular bottled Chanel No 5 is far more aldehydic and soapy, and I like both versions equally. Red Edition has a very strong presence for a couple of hours, turns into a skin scent after that, and it's gone completely after 4-5 hours, which is disappointing, but I am still glad I own this gorgeous red bottle. I wish it lasted longer!

Smells like you’ve just had a shower :) to me it’s a bit citrusy and it smells extremely clean. But it’s so expensive for a scent which just smells like a clean shower :/ would definitely buy it if I had money to throw hahaha

The prices for Chanel bottles are going way up..not even gradually up but like drop kicking us and jumping up dramatically...and the quality is not as strong from what I hear..Chanel, Mugler and other houses...let's not pull an Apple here...trying to make us think we are getting more bang for our buck when we know better...No No!! LOL But on the other hand I saw this bottle in person and it's beautiful and I never got to test it out I should have..If you love bottles this is a must...I must admit though you have to be in the mood for this as many do not like it..nor do i care..but I don't gravitate to this as much as I would my dear old Coco and if they changed her I feel I may have to move on with this house because Coco is the only one I really like and if she don't perform the same why would I purchase another one at these sky rocketing prices? I will have to use the one I have sparingly! Coco is a treasure...out of any of them own that one!

So I have read that this retails for $30 000 that cant br true! I get that there is only 55 and they are massive. I paid $198 for the red edp and that was a lot as far as I'm concerned. I wonder who is buying this? If anyone has had the privilege to see this in The flesh please leave a comment.
