Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum

Since its relaunching from Cristalle Eau Verte Concentrée to Eau de Parfum, I was looking forward to buying the 2023 version with the new bottle. Please be aware that this is a very deceiving one, in a positive way. I tried it on my hand and was disappointed by its projection and sillage but decided to give it a proper try (chest, neck and back of the head) as soon as. This happened today and wow. Nothing to do with the original Cristalle Eau de Parfum. This one is very citrusy, light, airy but also almost metallic like Eau de Rochas with a better sillage and projection; surprising for a lemon zesty one as other versions which often disappear after a few hours. But it is a Chanel after all. I would say it is perfect for warm spring and summer months but also works well in winter. Definitely unisex and a better projection and sillage than during the hand testing. You feel clean and fresh wearing this. I will stock up for spring and summer as it is going to be my signature scent for 2024.

Smells like Cristalle edt stripped of the oak moss, missing the sharp bite of galbanum & smothered in so much lemon it's *almost* unrecognizable. Like New York pizza, nothing ever quite beats the classic. However, Eau Verte comes close & the average person may actually enjoy it more, as it's quite the crowd-pleaser. Perfect for the heat, eau vert somehow manages to retain the sense of cold Cristalle is known for even while completely changing its character & notes. It's air conditioning in a bottle -- perfect for a hot summer. This is even better than BVLGARI Eau Parfumée thé Vert, which has been my favorite refreshing summer fragrance of this genre for at least the last 25 years.

I have 2ml of the old version and the new version side by side. They are slightly different probably because of the age of my old bottle. The new bottle is more citrusy and zesty and less floral than the old bottle. I feel that my aged bottle has more concentration as well. I think the 10 years added to my age have made me reach out less for these energizing youthful scents. Nevertheless, it is still my favorite citrus & white floral fragrance. Its longevity is superb among freshies and its white floral is never cloying or nauseating. It never reminds me of other perfumes or cleaning products. A unique fragrance that will always have its position in my collection.

I tested it on my skin today. It smells green, like green tea with citrus and floral notes. It is beautiful, fresh and grown up but I can see a young person falling for it because it is subtle, super refreshing and delightful. For a classy refresher for summer I highly recommend to seek this scent. I checked on my Douglas site and they only offer edt. I used to have it but let go of it deeply enamored with Coco Mademoiselle. I must buy it again.

I am again on the citrus journey. After testing 2 2ml samples I bought a fb 100ml. I have had 3 fb edt concentree but this edp is nicer, a bit smoother one. The edp is softer then the edt and maybe with a poor longevity. Wat made me choose for the edp is the lack of that metallic note from the edt. So if the metallic note doesn't bother you the edt is a stronger and cheaper option.

I only tried the Cristalle EDP old version, but this is a stunning crisp, cold, floral parfum that it’s nothing like the parfums on the market. It’s so beautiful, uplifting... I feel like I am in an igloo full of white flowers... I just received it today and it’s a love at first sniff . I honestly think the perfumer of this is some genius

Says it's for women, but as a man, and a lover of green citrusy fragrances I could see myself wearing this, it's absolutely gorgeous!

This is how the angels smell. Calming, suave, fragile. Like a whisper in the spring. You don't even care the sillage or longevity.

I don't normally like green scents, but this one is lovely. Just fresh, green, citrusy and uplifting. It also has a spa-like quality, and even though there is no tea listed in the notes, I really smell it. This perfume reminds me a little of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, but in a more pared-back way. It's very simplistic. Unfortunately the price is almost 300AUD and for me, that's just way too much for such a simple scent. It's Chanel and it's beautiful, but if this scent were from another brand, I doubt anyone would pay that. I know that I wouldn't, and that's why I dont think I could ever justify buying this.

Green perfume with pedigree: not bright and too bohemian, but nice, elegant and sophisticated. The greenness is cultivated, elegant and balanced with magnolia. Hint of jasmine is tamed, just the touch of indolic freshness. Smells like verbena mist to me: I had higher expectations but it is definitely pleasant, uplifting choice. --- Projection is moderate, longevity about 6 hours, spring-summer season.

Beautiful opening. Smelled at a Department store. How it makes me feel: Happy, carefree. Where it takes me: Smells like a spring mid-day walk in the sun. Weather is still cool but the air is warm and the smell of young flowers fill the air. What does it remind me of?: Chance Chanel Eau Fraiche but more mature.

I'm thinking of lemonade made with real lemons with ice. Enjoyed on a hot day on a green lawn in the shade of a large tree. Lovely.

The younger version of the original. It’s not typically something I’d buy, but my mom insisted to buy me a Chanel bottle of my choice and I picked this one. Cristalle Eau Verte opens with uplifting citrus and it’s green. Nothing much to say but like other Chanel fragrances, I still get the ‘Chanel vibes’ from this one; with a fresh take to the old formula.

Overwhelming lemon scent - lacks the complexity, iciness and beauty of the original EDT. Just ok IMO. There are much better citrus scents around.

Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte EDTC has been my signature scent since it was launched so I know how it performs on my skin and on clothes. Eau de parfum disappoints. It does not open or develop the same way as edtc. It is acetic, flat and lacks dimension.

What a disappointment ( It can't be compared to an original Cristalle eau Verte's longevity and sillage whatsoever! WHY, just WHY do they reformulate their masterpieces? (

I just received this as a birthday gift from my husband. I had the 2009 version about 10 years ago and went through a whole bottle, as this is my all time favorite citrus fragrance. I had heard that it was not reformulated, and that only the bottle design had changed. For anyone wondering, it still smells just as beautiful however the sillage and longevity are now terrible compared to the original. This is shameful given the price. If you love it, get it.. you’re just going to have to bathe in it and reapply throughout the day 😢

I have been loving and wearing Cristalle Eau Verte since 2010, so was very worried at all the reports of reformulation. However, I phoned the Chanel head office here in the UK and they confirmed that there has been no change whatsoever in the formula of the scent, only the bottle has changed. I went ahead and ordered a bottle and am delighted that it smells exactly as it always has. I'm so pleased to have my favourite hot weather scent back, I've missed it whilst it was away.

Just as Babbino already said, the formula remains unchanged from the previous version. The same ingredients are listed on the box, as well as the same formula code. No change, only a new look! They probably felt the need to remove the term "Eau de Toilette Concentrée" entirely from their lineup, so they simply renamed it "Eau de Parfum". Probably simpler for customers to understand.

When you change from edt to edp does it not mean a change in formula in turn a change in the perfume? This is a very discreet scent and not perfume as such and only fitting to be worn at home in perfect surrounding of relaxation and boredom. No longevity no sillage. Wish I had tried it in edt form but this version is doomed unless there's some magic that is yet to manifest.

One of my all time favourite scent is the Eau Verte edt Concentrée version. And I have just tested this new edp in a store an hour ago and now totally gone from my skin. Which is very strange, does it mean that this edp is weaker than my own edt?

I've never tried the older formula of Cristalle Eau Verte but this new version is simply beautiful. Crisp, modern, sophisticated, definitely Chanel DNA. Suitable for (early) spring but also for hot summer days. Love it, love it, love it!

an average cologne smell perfume, there are so many cheap options around. Chanel trying to rejuvenate their markets but it's just didn't work, the perfumes ended up quite mass just like other cheap brands

Just had a quick whiff of the new bottle, and I'm almost certain I'll need this for hot summer days 😍 Ultra green and very zingy citrus 🍋 It's fizzy, bright, sparkling, happy. Instant mood booster.

I don t know if I say "rare for being Chanel" , but it smells Chanel ... Citruses and fresh cologne: with lemon and lime, NOT orange. It recalls me Paris-Edimburg.

This is a delicate fresh, green trasparent, floral perfume for the 30 minutes it stays on skin. Quite lovely, but more of an Eau de Cologne I think..

I've just had the confirmation from Chanel Canada that the formula stays the same. It's not a new fragrance just a new bottle design.

Please don’t tell me it has changed from the OG!! I will be devastated.
