Les Exclusifs de Chanel Jersey

Woooaaahh! This one rocks! Unexpected heaven for my nose and brain! I was at Chanel counter to test Bois des Iles and tried also Jersey. Not that I can afford buying any of them, but smelling is still free. The name is unappealing to me. But the scent... I fell head over heels! I'm surprised at mixed opinions. On a rational thought Jersey smells to me like a super-fine Eau Premiere plus good lavender. I like lavender smell, but not usually take it into consideration in perfumes. The opening gave me a knock on my head and woke me up. It smells like wet mushroom, the same as Bruno Acampora Musc oil. I know that wet mushroom is a promise for soft snuggling musk later... Then lavender, very intense yet elegant, no cologne type (which I don't dislike btw), it's like smelling the skies up. Then I smell a gorgeus vaguely metallic vanilla, a note that really intrigues me, somehow similar to L'artisan Vanilia, but less banana-y. Musk gets in as promised in the opening and while synthetical, it must be the most wonderful musk smelled around recently. I think it's the tonka bean that gives that cloud effect as if you were walking on clouds with whiffs of lavender coming up... wow! The whole scent transport me to a higher mental level, purer and a little far from earthy dirtiness and heaviness, as if it had effect on more subtle parts of me... And at the same time it make me fell little and obeydient. This is not a scent for femme fatale or for making an impact on people with strong spices, not even a girlish floral in the fashion-knowing, no urban awareness, no sexy shorts with high heels trembling on the asphalt to male delightment. This one is almost childish, a true skin scent, comforting, pure yet enveloping and not faint. I smell a lot of latest Chanel n.5 EdP here with lavender in it, even more Eau Premiere as said before with a slight lemony feeling linked to vanilla. After a few hours it gets more into lemon cake, not a good point in fragrance for me, but this is exception. Probably the lemon cake they have in heaven cafe. I was in delight... there came my dear other: "It smells like the inside of a cheap chinese suitcase!" Broken dreams. For that price. He's maybe oversensitive to aldehydes. He used to like Eau Premiere, now he doesn't anymore. Men.

Jersey is all about the lavender, that's for sure. Having said that however, it is far from linear! Starting off, the lavender in Jersey feels pretty aromatic, which is really nice. I'ts got no overt sweetness at all. I sense "green" and "brown" notes together with the light purple lavender aroma. Lavender potpurri, and hay/dried grass is how I would describe the opening. At this point Jersey smells perfectly unisex to me. Probably the wildflowers + grass notes that give off this effect when combined. Fresh hay and dried lavender on a warm summers day, lovely! As we pass the five minute mark, Jersey brightens up ever so slightly, and a tea like note pushes through. It smells very much like a classic, black tea (bergamot) infused with lavender. Not yet brewed, more like the actual tea blend still dry inside the container. This is how it stays on me for the rest of it's weartime. This peaceful and calming composition that is Jersey makes me think of a sitting in the middle of a lavender field, enjoying a nice cup of tea and coockies somewhere in southern Europe. It is just gorgeous, and it smells surprisingly natural. A clean and refreshing lavender scent. Would be a perfect scent to sleep in to ensure sweet dreams. I see where the powdery assosiation comes from, but to me Jersey is more dust like than powdery, (and I don't mean that in a bad way)! Like actual, chalked up lavender. This is probably one of the most overlooked and underrated of the Les Exclusifs, which is such a shame! Do yourself a favor and at least test it while trying to keep an open mind. You might just be as positively surprised as I was! The sillage is just how I like it, not too close, but not a monster either. It is "just right". It also seems to last for quite a while on me, at least 10 hours, softening slowly as the hours slip away. There is something in Jersey that makes me feel so incredibly nostalgic. Something about it takes me back in time, back to my carefree childhood. I don't know how Chanel did it, but for that, I can't help but to love Jersey.

A smooth lavender twist to the musk-violet-iris of classic French perfumery also with the Chanel flair, the aliphatic aldehydes. Make no mistake, reviewers who'd recall Prada - Candy & Infusion d'Iris or Lancome - Iris Dragees, Massimo Dutti - Souffle Marais, Emporio Armani - Lei, Guerlain - L'instant Magic etc. etc. would be all correct in doing so. Jersey is best of both worlds. The timeless accord of white musk (probably Ethylene brassylate also known as Musk T) topped up with the ionones giving violet/iris powdery floralcy with a woody backbone, supported by jasmine (most likely the transparent Hedione) and rose making up the powdery, lotion-y backbone. It's undeniably classy, elegant, low-key beautiful. As a guy, that is my absolute favorite thing to smell on the opposite sex. But I often like to use masculine violet fragrances too and the lavender enables exactly that in Jersey thanks to top-heart blanket of lavender. I'd even argue that this is French lavender absolute as opposed to the essential oil due to smelling like a top-heart note that is floral-creamy and smooth as opposed to fresh-floral and terpenic. Once lavender starts to fade off, fragrance tuns into the similar musk-violet DNA of some other Chanel Les Exclusifs such as Misia, Bel Respiro and La Pausa. Surely when smelled side-by-side they would reveal clear contrasts, it's just on memory they feel very connected at the core. Overall, amazing fragrance, price point as usual is something to debate.

At first I get a spicy warm, American spicy, not the type of spice you associate with another location of the world. It's a fresh spicy warm that is so clean, which I don't associate spice with. I associate it with trying to cover up a pungent odor. Much akin to how they used to wear those doctor masks that looked like birds beaks, in that era before they had the simple masks of today and cleanliness by washing hands with soap and water. After that spice, albeit it still lingers there, I get the lovely lavender. I do not get soap or powder, both of which I wouldn't mind because I love those notes also. This to me is a good church scent, a safe scent for a wedding, etc. I do not think it would be a huge hit in an office environment. I can see a man pulling this off. Although I think it is a strong woman's fragrance, he certainly can share it with you :) If it's Jersey, it certainly is not the old worn out sweats, it is a very "designer label" jersey. At first I put off a bit by it, but I like unique, different and mostly Guerlain, but I am really loving this on day 1. So much so, I was playing it safe with only a small spray, and then a few hours later, I gave myself a huge burst on my neck and decollate and wrists. I can see me using this huge bottle in a few months until I get my other Exclusif 22. I say give this a try before you dismiss it. It's a home run, bases loaded! I like it much better than Coco, but not near as much as 5.

Jersey is the last of the Les Exclusifs line that I have tried. After reading the initial abysmal reviews, I didn't even see the need to bother. But curiosity got the best of me and I finally decided to try it (after having the sample for a couple of months). And.....I love it. Ignore the bad reviews and decide this one for yourself. Maybe it is that whole expecting the worst and you are pleasantly surprised thing going on I'm not sure. But whatever it is, I absolutely love Jersey. The lavender in this is actually quite mild and VERY smooth. This is NOT loud screeching lavender by any means. Absolutely no drug store bath product to be found here. I have no tolerance for that kind of smell and if Jersey smelled like that I would hate it. This is lavender perfection in my opinion. As others have mentioned, Jersey is like a lavender version of Eau Premiere. The base is extremely similar and where one goes citrus the other goes lavender. Top notes are nothing alike so a quick sniff will make it difficult to see the resemblance but after an all day wearing it is unmistakable. Jersey is a light, airy, casual scent that sort of fits the fabric it is named after. Soft and cozy and very comforting. After thinking I would absolutely hate it (before trying it), I actually wouldn't mind owning a bottle. EDIT: I do now own a bottle. A giant 200 ml bottle at that. :) Jersey is now one of my very favorite fragrances.

Sometimes you read a review , go through the notes and then later gets the chance to try it and you knew , just knew - you would love it ! This is such an experience for me... I only had one little question mark about it and that was the vanilla- Usually can't wear or doesn't wanna wear to much vanilla. Here together in the lavender tonka grass potpurri it works and doesn't take the lead . The rose , jasmine and other flowers are not very present but the grass is. I also get an citrus note very shortly after spraying but it does not stay. It is actually the very comforting and balmy musk notes that together with the lavender stands out the most on me. It might be that note you still get the morning hours after a nice sleep, surrounding you with lovely little whifs. I think this balmy, calming skinscent is what actually keeps some parfumistas from getting it., and that some reviews are really negatively written. I have always loved musk and lavender and soft - but not boring skinscents. I wish was easier to get a hold of and less pricey. Cause this is that kind of scent for me , that sometimes make my collection laugh me right in the face...knowing it was this I was looking for all along !

Oh Jersey, you're like a sweet, sweet first love. I've always loved lavender, and I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Jersey. I expected heavy sweet lavender but what I got was light and bright lavender instead. The first burst was an airy lavender which quickly settles into something sweet and delectable. The musk and vanilla came out a little later, with the vanilla dominating the whiff after about a few hours. I don't mind the vanilla at all, though. It adds a touch of brightness to an otherwise herby, medicinal lavender. Jersey's so beautiful to me; it's very fluffy and inoffensive, and while it can be rather sweet in the middle, the drydown is creamy and very mellow with a touch of bitterness that's not unwelcome. I love the drydown the most, to be honest. It's so creamy; I wish I could eat it! Overall, it's a very bright, light and inoffensive but well-rounded perfume, like a dessert that sits nicely on your palate. Light and fluffy but very creamy. Buttery and rich without it being cloying. This is a very, very beautiful perfume that may come off as understated, but don't let the subtleness scare you away: Jersey's as beautiful as it sounds. Rating: 9/10

I was in lavender limbo for years. Never quite sure if it was a note to praise or condemn. Had I been asked, I would have insisted the lavender note only presents with a masculine feel in perfumery. INSISTED! That is, until I not discovered Les Exclusifs de Chanel Jersey. It's a good thing, a realllly good thing, I discovered Jersey. I might have languished in limbo for a fragrant eternity, never knowing what beauty I was missing. Apparently the key to lavender heaven is using a soft creamy vanilla and an even softer musk to round out and unlock the door to the perfect lavender. My goodness, the notes are lovely together, made even more so by the sprinkling of random flowers throughout. I smell an unlisted heliotrope and something subtle and white. Jersey is the perfect lavender composition for me. It's vanilla comfortable, feminine and outdoorsy. Not a stomp through the woods outdoors feel, but windblown and clean, soapy clean... like fresh laundry just off the clothes line in your backyard and green, a roundish green. No sharp edges. Leave it to Jacques Polge to rescue lavender from olfactory limbo and place it on a pedestal :)

This is a gorgeous comfort scent, created with the subtlety and sophistication only Chanel can achieve. The initial topnotes of Lavender and Mint are a surprise, they freshen and cool an otherwise warm and powdery composition. The top note includes Lavender in it's most medicinal and coniferous aspect, a delight. Gradually Jersey turns into a deep deep, powdery, creamy musk/vanilla on me with just a hint of lavender to keep the dry down from being tiresome or cloying. I agree with those who say that Jersey is quite unlike the rest of the Les Exclusifs range, none of the others have anything like the intense muskiness of Jersey, and Jersey does not have any Iris or Bel Respiro references as much of the rest of the range does. I simply adore this perfume, and the sample I'm wearing is going to inspire a purchase of a full bottle as soon as possible. The longevity is superb, the sillage is perfect (not a fog, just a halo) and the quality of the ingredients first rate. I highly recommend Jersey to anyone who loves soft, comfortable, Lavender/Vanilla/Musk perfumes.

Jersey Chanel eau de toilette is a soft and sweet fragrance with prodigious lavender accents. If its output is somewhat sweet, it could be due to a tonka that is already powerful at the beginning, and yes, as one user said, its sweetness emulates licorice. It is not a strange smell but the combination of tonka with lavender and musks could be excessive, but here Chanel takes control of the situation to be able to make a refined perfume that is inclined to the feminine side and with a lot of originality. It has a bold smell always because it is quite linear and does not take strange turns, relaxing lavender with a spark of sweetness that gives it energy and uniqueness, and at the same time causes a state of comfort and serenity that I look for very often at any time of the year. One of the best sweet lavender perfumes I've ever smelled. The eau de toilette is softer and more refined than the eau de parfum, the edp hits hard and is more daring. The durability is very good and its sillage is moderate.

The moment I sprayed Jersey, I thought it smelled amazing--soft and sweet but surprisingly complex. After a minute or two on my skin, it began to smell awfully familiar. Ah ha! Penhaligon's Lavandula. They both smell mostly like lavender, vanilla, and musk. I think I prefer Jersey because it's muskier and less vanilla. I like the little bit of green in Jersey too. I was amazed at the projection. It's a soft scent, but I could smell it on myself all day long without having to touch up. Sometimes lavender can end up smelling too masculine on me. I don't have that problem with Jersey. I don't have that problem with Lavandula either, which is why I bought it, but the vanilla starts to annoy me after a while because it becomes stronger than the lavender. I think Jersey might be my perfect lavender. This is an absolute LOVE for me. Edit 5/26/13: I have been wearing it for 13 hours, and it's still projecting to my nose. I have not needed to touch up at all.

A LAVENDER BATH / clean AIR DRIED LAUNDRY Sooothing, warm and refreshing. All in one. This perfume smells like you are sitting in a warm bathtub filled with essential lavender oil , bubbles all around you, refreshing and aromatic. My parents always bathed in essential oils , this is exactly it. Sweet lavender with a vanilla , tonka musky feel , very aromatic , a little soapy. A feminine lavender at last , rounded with vanilla and tonka. Beautiful , casual, classy t shirt and jeans perfume. The thing with Jersey is it has a fresh lavender herbal start but quickly goes into a warm sweet musky rosy vanilla tonka smell. Omg just writing this makes me want to put some on. This never fails to get lots of compliments. Everyone wants to know where they can buy this. A reviewer in here said it smelled like air dried laundry. I have to say that's very true to how exactly this smells like ,,,well AND a warm lavender bath,,,,An amazing scent. Top shelf !!!

Beautiful-this is a comfortable fragrance, warm, soothing, gentle, restrained, a lazy Sunday afternoon curled up reading your favourite book type of comfort. I get powdery notes from this, it might be the gentleness of the lavender. It's quite sweet but not gourmand sickly-sweet, and its very smooth but not over the top musk. It's a subdued scent-there isn't any particular floral note that stands out, even the lavender, which peaks in the first few minutes blends in to the background later. I've never been one for lavender particularly until I got January Scent Project's Eiderantler, but the lavender notes in Jersey and Eiderantler are very different-both beautiful in their own way. Jersey isn't a particular distinctive or stand-out fragrance, on me its a skin scent with low sillage, but it lasts well. I enjoyed it-its a lovely, relaxing scent-it maybe won't get you compliments (unless someone gets very close!) but it makes you feel happy.

Jersey is predominantly a lavender fragrance. It is difficult to successfully create a lavender perfume without it coming across as reminiscent of a men's cologne or a linen spray, but Jacques Polge managed it beautifully! Jersey is a soft, clean, feminine lavender with just the tiniest hint of vanilla. The green notes and jasmine add a classic, floral elegance to the blend, preventing the lavender from becoming too harshly medicinal, soapy, or herbal. The clean musk base note contributes an overall softness to the fragrance. The dry-down is incredibly fresh and comforting. What a beautiful scent for spring and summer! It calls to mind picnics, sundresses, and sandals. Highly recommended for the perfume-lover who is looking for a fresh, simple, aromatic perfume -- or for the lavender lovers out there.

Lavender, vanilla, and aldehydes? Yes please! Oh wait, they're gone already? Bummer. Well, actually, the aldehydes are the longest-lasting part of this, which is MOST surprising and sad. As far as the concept though, I think I get it. Soft, breathable knit loungewear draped over the reclining figure of a girl-next-door type as she sips a morning cup of coffee. Something along the lines of MMM Lazy Sunday Morning but done a lot better. The white musk here, which somehow has gotten past my anosmia, is laundry fresh and aided by the No 5 L'eau-esque aldehydes. Vanilla adds warmth while lavender adds a casual attitude. To be fair, I really like Jersey, I just wish it had more oomph. Save your money and buy L'eau, it's much better.

Jersey is a beautiful, comforting, and modern fragrance ... i am surprised by some of the negative reviews I see on line. This fragrance lasts between 10 and 12 hours on my skin and during it's development I can smell every note listed above (I swear I smell iris also!). The dry down is divine and I am happy I purchased a 200ml bottle. I can see wearing this fragrance all year round ... very versatile. Update: Jersey has become my comfort perfume that I wear when I am home and relaxing. I do occasionally wear it when I am working my horses and I think they love the smell too ... I always seem to have my best rides while wearing Jersey. I guess lavender calms horses as well as people!!

this is scent sent from heaven, i liked it from the start , was unusual but very very pleasant, i noticed something sweet, sweet musk, now i read its vanilla...its there all the time and this other fresh scent i could not recognise was lavander i read it now :) my friend did not like it at first while i loved it...later as someone said after 2 hours it smelled to both of us so nicely....this is perfect summer scent...and i tested gardenia wich is heavenly but it was gone , gone with the wind in 2 hours! i could not believe it---i like these scents best from all chanell i tried so far..i prefered hermes over chanel, now i am going to buy some chanel after a long long time :)

I came to Chanel counter with a sole purpose to get me Bois des Iles, and left with Jersey instead after having worn it on the back of my hand for 10 min. What swayed my mind? An enchanting transformation from gentle, breezy and soft lavender in a gauzy cloud of vanilla-sweetened aldehydes into a No.5 Eau Premier's rose-jasmine-musk sleekness. A wonder that takes some doing and, for me, justifies the price. Effortless understated elegance that wears well even in (very!) hot and humid weather. It has a soft sillage to begin with and after an hour wears like a skin scent that lingers for hours. This is lavender Zen done right (take a note, Guerlain and Hermes).

Based on the reviews, this fragrance is much more polarizing than I would have expected. I tried this on a test strip and was unimpressed. I could barely smell it. Then I tried it on my skin and fell in love. To me, this is an iris, soft musk (not ambrette; just a really lovely synthetic “white musk”) and lavender. It’s a soft, powdery, feminine, youthful, clean and (I thought, but by the reviews, clearly not) universally pleasing scent. It doesn’t closely remind me of any other fragrance I’ve smelled, but if I had to make a correlation, I would say that if you like Talco by New Notes, you’ll probably like this. I’ll be getting a FB later today.

All time favorite! I’ve used numerous big and small bottles since I was introduced to this scent and I adore it ❤️🔥 And yes, I do prefer the one from 2011. The following one, 2016/17, I don’t remember the exact year when the formula was updated, I do not really like as much as the former one. The scent from 2011 was more lavendery and powdery, leathery too. It made me feel relaxed, but was sophisticated and was projecting the quality of the scent so well. The newer version offered less lavender and instead more signature Chanel smell... Still beautiful though. But it lost something subtle and so charming of its formula indeed!

I find Chanel Jersey to be the most wearable lavender of all. Another one amongst many, Lutens Gris Clair is almost as wearable, while being quite the opposite character from Jersey. Gris Clair is impeccably clean, dry, extremely realistic, and finally at the drydown stretching straight into masculinity. Jersey is very different. In the most fine manner it is exuding the velvety, sweet, "woman's skin" aura and alltogether behaves much more sparkling, bright and "sunnily". Very, very lovely companion with an heartwarmingly beautiful and uplifting spirit.

What a gorgeous and pleasant scent. It surrounds me, delicate, exquisite. This is a very beautiful laverder. I see in the notes that it has musk and vanilla. This is exactly what it is. I have a few of the Les Exclisifs. I am debating with myself if I should also buy this one. It has all qualities that I am looking for. It also have a beautiful projection (subtle but there for hours). If you are into the Chanel line, I strongly recommend that you try this one. You will certainly love it!

I love lavander opening. Mind you, lavander hier is the most natural and highest quality possible. After few minutes another notes appear - like soft musk and very light vanila. It is cosy, pleasant and relaxing fragrance, which is very light and barely noticeable. However, i am also gathering compliments while wearing. I love to wear it with crispy white linen shirt and dark designer trouses. Very classy!

I have been wanting this for so long, and yesterday, fortunately, it was on sale. So with one month left until my birthday I just could not resist! All though I am also loving Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire at the moment, Jersey, in my opinion, is just so much more than a perfume! Jacques Polge is a miracle maker that we can all take part in. I am in love and I believe I will be for a looong time!

I used to be obsessed with this fragrance. I only had a couple samples because it's very overpriced (IMO). I wore the samples to death in the winter. It left behind a soft trail of vanilla and lavender that was both intoxicating yet innocent. I have since bought a dupe from Arabian Perfume Oil that's pretty good but doesn't give me that same feeling Jersey does.

I liked this but its not what I expected. It's softly aromatic at the beginning almost like a barber shop cologne but no oakmoss, then becomes more floral...and the dry down is 100% Chanel. Adelhydes, slight powder and woods but in small doses. It's cute, it has the Chane l version of what people call Guerlinade...unmistakable house quality.

I received a small tester of Chanel Jersey today. I am on a constant search for a signature scent perfume and 'At Last'!!!! I've found it. I don't get on with any other Chanel perfumes except Sycamore. They all smell like cat pee or toilet cleaner on me. BUT THIS is something else. It's heavenly, very soft and very beautiful.

I bought it yesterday. i was so hesitate to have one, its expensive but i could not resist. I was confused what to choose this one or Tom Ford Lavender Palm. I choose this because it is started with relaxing lavender aroma then it change into sweet vanilla with very very special note.. i could not recognize.. so i took it.

Absolutely gorgeous - soft, feminine and elegant. The lavender is modern and not cloying, not like ye-olde lavender (which is a relief!) and the subtle vanilla rounds it out nicely. It's one of those frangrances you want to keep for yourself and with the big price tag, hope it never runs out! Definitely worth the splurge.

The scent is lovely. It does smell like freshly washed laundry, but in an elegant manner. The lavender in this is so pleasant. It last on my skin for about 7 hours, and it projects well, it doesn't choke anyone out, but people around me can notice it without it being cloying. Very good scent, definitely a must try.

The notes were promising to me, but this was an awful blend of screechy, synthetic lavender and an entirely separate note of vanilla. Two separate, distinct notes, no harmony, and no finesse. Got none of the ?grass or rose or jasmine. Very, very unpleasantly herbal (and synthetically so!). Scrubber.

I really like this perfume. It reminds me of a fragranced talcum powder you would get at a fancy hotel, or the smell of a scent sachet you might put in your drawers. Oddly specific, but that's just what I find it reminiscent of. Very pleasant, not overbearing, easy to wear soft fragrance.

This is great lavender without any of the acne medication smell from crude lavender essential oil. Nice wildflower note and green grass. Those are very slight nuances in it. If you just want a very fine lavender then this is it.

Lavender is one of my favorite themes)) This one is soft and creamy, refined and subtle. I enjoy it a lot.

Recently I purchased couple of les exclusifs line's samples and jesrsey was one of them I couldn't wait to test.I always loved to find a feminine perfume with Lavender done right in it(right for my taste of course) When I first sprayed it I was shocked.it was strong,cold,sharp and very cleaning product-ish! there is this particular clothes washing powder here which we call it tayd.smelling jersey was as if I was smelling tayd-water mix.exactly the same.and it didn't even feel clean.it was as if I've mixed that cleansing product,tayd,with water and left a glass of this chemical potion somewhere for a couple of days.then I've washed my hands with it without rinsing them afterwards with water But the good news is,things didn't take much to get better,waaay better.vanilla and musk save jersey for me.there comes a creamy,not so sweet vanilla and soft,skin like musk to round Lavender's edges a bit and turn jersey to a pleasant,clean,smooth,calming,feminine scent I was waiting for.it still has a soapy vibe but in a very creamy way which I actually like.I can also feel a hint of flowers in it,something like a very light Jasmine All in all I liked it and it lasts for an impressive time on my skin,though sillage isn't big.It seems to be addictive but I don't think I'm willing to pay large prices they ask for it but I will happily use up my sample from time to time.I prefer to use it in spring and summer but not that it won't suit fall days. Something in it reminds me lacoste pour femme,also d&g feminine. I may do a side by side test to find out their similarities

The lavender here is not the sweet Provençal postcard version—this is Lavandula angustifolia in all its glory. Sharp and silvery, with its naturally camphoraceous bite smoothed only slightly by a heavy pour of vanillic powder, the duel begins: clean vs. warm, sterile vs. sensual. Think vintage linen pressed under the hot sigh of an iron, edged with lace and dusted in sun-bleached lavender buds that crumble under your fingers like secrets forgotten. Mmmm. At first whiff, you’re greeted with that almost medicinal bristle—Chanel's aldehydes flirting with coumarin-like echoes—but then, then, it sighs into that familiar powder room haze, the kind that settles over your skin like a translucent veil. A vanillin-heavy musk halo, vaguely rosy, vaguely... plush. But again, never soft. As a review below mentions, there's something undeniably reminiscent of Rimbaud by Celine, that same fuzzy-lavender-irised puff of nostalgia. Womanly florals like an afterimage here, cool and cosmetic, whispering from beneath the lavender musk’s clean veil. Delicate yet commanding. Restrained but not cold. Very clean, yet a like no doubt. Final impression: a powdered kiss on crisp collarbones. A hotel robe soaked in talc-speckled light. A ghost of old perfumed love letters in starch-white envelopes. Something that doesn’t try to seduce, and therefore does. Occasion? When you want to smell like a very clean, very expensive secret, when you crave the whisper-soft intimacy of ivory.

Actually, I have had a change of heart about this fragrance. Masterpiece? Not even close. Pleasant? Sure. The first spray of lavender is clear and beautiful. The next stage happens about 10 seconds later and that is when I get burning plastic. It's funny how your chemistry doesn't ask you permission to turn a perfume into something unpleasant. If only...... However, after giving this another coupla chances, I did notice that after about an hour, I was trying to figure out what smelled so good. It was my hair! A beautiful, soft, round, slightly aldehydic, vanille. Nothing earth shattering but entirely......nice. This is the perfect airplane scent. Incredibly inoffensive, with a nice aura.

Not sure whether I ought to be reviewing this or the EDP but I disagree with below. The lavender smells like lavender essential oil to me, I can really smell the lavender and vanilla for awhile wafting about me in a way that’s quite pleasing and relaxing. When I hold my nose to my wrist I get the white flowers, and overall a a lovely aldehylic musky Chanel vibe. This is a nice fragrance and I would buy it if I could afford it.

Two words: Baby Chanel. Not bad, not average, but definitely a baby scent; lavender-chamomile-shampoo-dolly-bubblegum-baby powder fragrance. Nice and kind of boring (except the peppermint accent). Certainly far from what Les Exclusifs line (imho) should represent. On the other hand, if you enjoy Bvlgari Petits et Mamans or plan a pregnancy any time soon, this could be a classy upgrade. p.s. very cozy drydown

Soft, fluid, and airy, this is a beautiful lavender fragrance. It’s calm, relaxing, and very subtle. A real pleasure to wear. It’s a lot like Celine Rimbaud but a little greener and maybe harsher. After about an hour, it dries down to something more powdery and floral, and that’s when the Chanel DNA starts to show. It’s a pretty scent, though I already own and prefer Rimbaud.

I tested four Les Exclusifs de Chanel fragrances (Beige, Gardenia, Jersey and No.22) in the Chanel boutique last month. Jersey has a fresh clean scent of lavender, which I love. But such pleasant smell soon disappears. What is left is a weak, unremarkable floral smell. Overall, Jersey is a nice, unoffensive yet elegant office fragrance.

it has the same artificial sweetness that I find irritating in andy tauers pentachords white too. guess it's a violet/iris-note, smells vanillic too, but not a natural vanilla. I find lavender more elegant if more herbal, or- if sweet- the sweetness coming from the lavender itself. so, didn't find my perfect lavender yet...

Truly lavender from Provence. Flowers exactly. I adore lavender, so I love it. But I think that it's too simple for its price. I bought a perfume with lavender for clothes in Tihany on Balaton lake. Less famous, but, imho, more beautiful lavender place. And it smells almost the same, only it costs much more cheaper.

This is a nice daytime scent, as it's not too offensive or out there. It has the classic chanel touch, reminiscent especially of n19. It smells of a soapy lavender. I disagree with the others that it's pure lavender though, that isn't the case for me at all.

Pristine, crispy, soap clean, breezy. soft wafering lavender, mild vanilla. Sheen musks. Egyptian cotton sheets 800 thread count and higher. It smells airy...as in a pristine air conditioned room. The scent is pristine. 10/10/10

I could swear the heart was heavy sandalwood

I was so pleasantly surprised with the opening. It smelled just like the perfume oil I used to make as a teenager by mixing vanilla and lavender essential oils. So good! Sadly, though, after just a couple of minutes the lavender somehow turned into violet and it smells like a grandma. Sad!
