Misia Eau de Parfum

I smell like little parma violet powdery sweets! It got me thinking today why I am so obsessed with powdery/lipstick/make up violet-iris-rose fragrances. Maybe it is not just my love for the smell of makeup and lipsticks! Maybe it comes from my early childhood when parma violets were my favourite sweet that as I grew older, I completely forgot about and developed my palate. Anyway, onto Misia. Misia Sert was a famous parisian socialite - the classy partying pianist, for whom art is a state of mind, found an immediate connection with Coco Chanel and became friends and inspiration; Misia helped Coco to go through her hard time after losing her lover in a automobile crash. Apparently, they also loved partying together. This perfume is quite juicy and creamy; I believe the juiciness and sweetness come from the raspberries and litchee. I get lots of violets, orris root/iris adding this interesting earthy touch. There is supposed to be two types of rose: turkish and grasse rose; there is a delicate rosiness in the background, however I cannot decide if what I smell is trukish or the Grasse rose as I think my nose might be overwhelmed with all the other ingredients here - as when you do smell closer past the parma violets, you can honestly smell everything listed there. However, tonka and benzoin are certainly there in the base and the leather we know from Cuir de Russie, however less sour. Before I got this, I have had L'artisan Parfumeur's Drole de Rose and even prefered it to this; I thought I wouldn't want to smell like sweets so discarded Misia. However, now although it still feels a bit strange, I am really enjoying this. After the initial binge on parma violets, this goes a bit darker, not as uplifting, more earthy, a bit waxy and slightly dirty - I suppose, very much like the multi-faceted persona who was used as an inspiration for this fragrance. It's been quite a long time since I last tried Malle's Lipstick Rose, however I remember all the three perfumes mentioned to be very close, and since I had Drole De Rose I discarded Malle's creation as well. I will have to revisit it with a fresh nose. I can, however, make a comparison with Drole De Rose, which I think is a bit more transparent, having less ingredients; slightly less sweeter, definitely not candy-like anymore like Misia is. Drole de rose, however lasts only 3-4hours on me, so I think of it as Misia L'Eau.

Chanel is my favorite perfume house and I have many of the Les Exclusifs. I am always wishing I would have bought a large bottle. So with Misia I did because I love violet, rose and iris perfumes. For me, initially upon opening, Misia calls to mind YSL's Paris. The blend of violet, rose and iris are used in many perfumes. YSL Paris is more of a green floral. Misia is a bright floral without greenery. It is balanced very well. Misia does have a mildy spicy powdery phase that some reviewers say reminds them of L'Heure Bleue. I can smell the inference. It reminds me more of L'heure de Nuit. It doesn't smell like either of these perfumes but hints towards them. I start to smell the powder more in the middle phase of Misia. It smells like a soft violet/rose Ladurée room spray in the best possible way. Sweet confectionary floral perfection! The dry down in Misia is very nice. I don't smell any musk in the fragrance and it isn't listed in the notes. The Iris is soft and on my skin is not very noticeable yet. I have to say I am really glad I got the big bottle. Many reviewers compare Misia to Guerlain's Insolence. I have Insolence also and it is more insolent. Insolence is somewhat of a pushy violet fragrance that demands attention. Misia stays on the more understated side. It is also often compared to FM Lipstick Rose. I prefer Misia. At first I really liked Lipstick Rose. I started to pickup on a plasticky synthetic that I didn't like. I used up my bottle and didn't repurchase. I can't really singularly make out the aldehydes in Misia yet. They are very recognizable in most Chanel fragrances. Some reviewers say that in Misia the aldehydes remind them in passing of Chanel No. 5 and maybe I can kind of smell that. The leather is very soft. She is a multifaceted perfume that requires her share of skin time to be fully appreciated. Jacques and Olivier Polge are two of my favorite perfumists. That's not to say that I don't like others, but they definitely have a large footprint in my perfume collection.

Carefree and Happy Misia This has a lovely, young, carefree, expectant vibe to it. Yes it has all the vintage makeup ingredients, violet/iris/rose but the feel of this is lighthearted and very happy...despite the original Misia who seems to be a bit of a dark character herself. Being best friends with Ms. Chanel I could only imagine her that way, if I had to make a guess. I know that the violets are very highly voted, but honestly I only smell them in the topnotes. Smooth and muted and dried violets. With lots of dry powder and beautiful earthy orris root. The powder/iris produces almost a luxury soap effect. Towards the drydown I detect a note of smooth vanilla as well. What makes this carefree and happy are the sweet notes of raspberry and rose and litchi. They are very prominent in this edition of Misia and they lend a bright and happy cast to the dry orris and powdery soap notes. And I've noticed that the fruity floral notes flourish on skin, while the drier notes tend to stick to fabrics a lot more. I find the character of this version of Misia to be a lot younger, and fresher/cleaner, even soapy, than the original. The original EDT had a serious, somber, reflective personality, while this is beautiful, but more fun and lighthearted. It's like the EDT is a raven haired, intellectual, bespectacled, older sister who likes dark colors and long skirts and hardback books and speaks in a low timbre. This EDP is smiley, effervescent, expectant, flighty curly haired impulsive younger sister. Yet they are very close and understand each other perfectly. I like both versions a lot. This version does wear close to the skin but I can smell it just fine, and lasts 8 hours with good application, wears as a faint skin scent for a few hours after that.

Misia Sert pseudonym of Maria Zofia Olga Zenajda Godebska Russian pianist and naturalized French model, a woman, an intellectual, a thousand artistic relationships. In every direction. For many she is a muse, for others a friend, for some a lover. Always, it is the center of gravity of a rapidly evolving world, the world of the avant-garde in the 1900s. To this midwife of art an influential friend of important protagonists of the Parisian Belle Époque. In Misia's Parisian living room it was easy to meet: Stravinsky, Diaghilev, Nijinsky, Debussy, Tolouse Lautrec, Picasso, Ravel, Cocteau, D'Annunzio, Paul Morand, and Renoir who portrayed her. Jean Cocteau was inspired by her to develop the character of the princess in the novel "Thomas l’imposteur". Mademoiselle Gabrielle Chanel was her beloved friend and confidant, until 1950, when Misia died in Paris, she will take care of her mortal remains to dress her up as a princess. The Maison Chanel using the mastery of the nose Olivier Polge in 2016 launches Misia Eau de Parfum on the market in the exclusive niche line of the maison. A fragrance that evokes the eclecticism of this wonderful beloved and disputed Muse: the opening notes to the juste pulvérisé are exhilarating, sour, exotic, the triumph of the lychee amplified by the much-loved aldehydes of Mademoiselle, the heart, the fruity and floral accords dance a masterful minuet that at the dry down brings out the hottest notes, leathery, vanilla and talc. Feminine sillage of great charm. Duration typical of fragrances rich in aldehydes. Wonderful fragrance.

I applause that the chanel exclusives are now EDPs as in my opinion they may last longer and are more intense. Not that i had issues with their lasting power nor their intensity but as a general rule I do prefer EDP composions over Edt. In the case of exclusives I really do. It think that they don't smell any different from their former EDT formulations ,but again they may last longer or are ever so slightly tweaked. Not enough to list them here as a new fragrance though !? And for their prices they should be EDP s ! MISIA is a powdery, elegant violet cosmetic perfume with a balsamic undertone . A Jackie Kennedy , classy with a sexy edge ! The cosmetic smell of Misia brings my thoughts back to the past but the way it's done it has a modern flair . Fist impression is Love in Black by Creed ! Misia turns out to be softer as Love in black with no cloves and ceder but the over all smell is very similar . I love the benzoin and Tonka as it makes Misia really dense and almondy. With a dense , close to the skin almond, nutty sweetness. It is much like love in black in its densness and oriental balsamic kind of way. Lipstick Rose is quite different from Misia being more of a floral aldehyde with no oriental feel to it. The more I wear the EDP the more I think it is brighter and less powdery. More aromatic and more raspberries ? But I am not completely sure yet. I am doing a side by side comparison at the moment and so far I feel that the EDP is stronger , less powdery and more bright , all in all a little better. Regardless they are both so very lovely and amazing. Top shelf worthy and worth every penny! I am using my edt up fast and next purchase will be EDP.

Misia is Chanel's take on a "lipstick" scent, and is exactly what you'd expect. The powdery violet-rose accord that features in similarly-themed scents forms the crux of Misia, but Chanel's trademark iris note is equally prominent here. The opening aldehydes make for a nice nod to No. 5 too. Well-constructed and cohesive from start to finish, Misia is one of the better Les Exclusifs. The violet-rose accord is present from the start, initially light and transparent thanks to the bright aldehydes. Lychee adds an aquatic quality to the opening, but is barely detectable otherwise. As it develops, the violet-rose accord becomes richer and more powdery, very reminiscent of vintage makeup. Raspberry adds a little fruitiness, complementing the lipstick accord perfectly, and there is a hint of sweet peach too. The orris root emerges after a little while, adding an earthy iris quality to the lipstick accord. It is prominent, powdery and natural, reminding me of La Pausa and adding a nice depth to the lipstick accord - something different yet on-brand, and utterly logical. As Misia dries down, a sweet amber accord emerges in the base, providing a nice backdrop to the later stages of the lipstick-iris accord. It becomes more animalic as it fades to a musky iris skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. As a fan of lipstick accords in perfume, Misia is one of the best I've tried, as well as staying true to the brand's heritage. A transseasonal feminine scent. Lipstick Rose meets La Pausa. Great stuff. 4.5/5.

Misia is eternal, distant, with a lot of personality, vintage, sweet, elegant, evocative, a Chanel... I can recognize in this perfume the most beautiful combination of violet, powdery notes of orris root, raspberry and lychee in the history of perfumery, at least for now... I have to admit that I don't particularly like litchi and raspberry, but the aldehyde violet and its orris root talc make for a juicy and elegant fruit combination. Rarely can I feel a clearly fruity perfume on my skin that is vintage and also powdery: I am delirious with this sensation... Misia is so assertive in her personality that I have to choose a specific and well thought out day to be able to use this sublime potion. I feel like a person who comes back from the past when I use it, it makes me feel that I am my most elegant and bohemian ancestors. Here we fear a Chanel that lives in today taking the best of yesterday. I feel very virginal white lace on me, secret night walks with a lover and kisses of pure passion that continue to taste like a kiss after many hours... Misia is the pure passion of a lady who knows that what she is doing is not right in front of her. society, but can not stop doing it ... It is the living image of the secret and forbidden. Exciting

The first signature of Olivier Polge for Chanel is still his best one in my opinion, to date (December 2019). A signature that we can even say is borderline-Chanel-limits... and yet conjuring a significant part of what we phantom her life was about – here we wrap our imaginations around the theatres, bohemian-intellectual soirees, the boudoir scents assembled on waves of poudre libre, lipstick and indefinite surfing of perfumes, more powders yet again. I absolutely give Misia the recognition of all its beauty, femininity, transgression, tenderness and misbehave. It’s all there, mostly thanks to its LSD-like violet and its unique rose – a very distinctive rose from that rose making Chanel’s signature – a new rose that speaks of places that any good-family lady would be likely to avoid. The May rose from Grasse we find in Chanel’s signature is caring, translucent-pink and spotless, the rose in Misia is charged in red, had its share of scars, stands beside a glass of brandy, always endures some sort of smoulder around her. It buys time by means of posh garlands – orris, iris, benzoin... Misia defeats it all with the assistance of her make-up purse. She is dressed up for the night, even dressed-to-kill, if it comes to that.

This had been on my radar for years and I finally took the plunge and purchased it during the holiday sale at Harrods. I really love this now, through at first I was a little unsure because I didn't think the leather note worked very well. I found it a little jarring, which I think was because I didn't expect it to play such a prominent role. But the more I wear this the more I fall in love with the way it works here. For a while now I had been searching for a tamer and drier Guerlain Insolence. I love Insolence, but she can be a beast in the performance department, and sometimes I don't want to make such a bold statement. This is everything I hoped for as it is more sedate and low key, though no less fabulous. A big plus is that it is different enough from Insolence where it is worth having both in my wardrobe. A violet and iris perfume that is softly powdery from the musk, lightly fruity, with leather, benzoin and vanilla. I love how the tonka adds just a touch of sweetness and a hint of cherry, which I think is what is giving me that lipstick vibe. It really is a beautiful perfume. I am so glad I took the risk and bought this after all. I am just sorry I waited so long.

I nearly shed a tear when I smelled this. Misia perfectly captures the air backstage in a theater before a show. There is an atmospheric cold anticipation and excitement, before the stage lights warm everything up. The air feels misty and magical— with a few hairspray particles floating gently in the air. It brought me back to the feeling of having devoted so much time and energy to what I am about to perform and being at the cusp of finally showing it to the world. The nerves, the cold misty air, the joy, and the pure excitement of it. If you were ever in theatre or ballet, I think you will understand. The violet notes in this are gorgeous and central to achieving the feeling that Misia captured. Violet is already one of my favorite florals, and this was an easy decision to get a full bottle for my collection. Putting my scent memory that Misia captured aside, this is a very moody and melancholic, elegant, atmospheric, powdery violet. This is one of the very few fragrances in my collection that can make me feel so many different emotions and is very multifaceted.

Misia is one of the best violet scents I’ve ever had the pleasure of smelling. Upon first spray it’s like being covered with Parma Violet sweets - the violet is front and centre with its strong powdery elements, with a juiciness coming from litchi and a touch of airy aldehydes. As it begins to settle on the skin, a dry and fluffy note of peach idles in the background as rose begins to shine ever so gently. The core of this fragrance revolves around the most effervescent violet and orris combination. The delicate powderiness of the violet compliments the smooth buttery elements of the orris, with hidden touches of leather in the base. Misia is pure makeup powder vibes to the max, it’s absolutely enchanting in every single way. It’s probably my favourite violet note I’ve ever smelled, second only to Roja Great Britain which takes the cake for me personally. This is my absolute favourite fragrance from Chanel by far, and even as a man I adore wearing this.

After wearing this for about 2 yrs now, this is truly a 3 phases kind of perfume: 1st phase - lasts for an hour: powdery rose with litchi. very pleasant but a little girlish 2nd phase - lasts for 6-8hrs: rubbery orris root, litchi becoming a bit sharper for my liking, rose starts to fade, violet giving rise to a more powdery feel. although its still girlish but the orris makes it more appealing to the more mature crowd. theres something boozy in here adding to the appeal 3rd phase - last forever until ur next shower: the most beautiful vanilla ive ever smelt starts to emerge, combined with the rubbery orris root again. rose is well in the background. this is my favourite phase of all. its present without being obnoxious. the girly girl now has grown to a very poised, beautiful woman. enjoy!

I have tried this several times in a department store and I love it! It's similar to Beige, but Misia is more powdery and iris. It's like fresh gentle powder and fruits with a leathery dry down. It's vintage like in a modern way. I get the image of a powdery dressing room in a theatre. I can see why people are comparing it to lipstick and make-up. The staying power is not very good though. I sprayed it abundantly on myself yesterday and I can still smell it slightly on my hair today, but not on my skin. It's an intimate perfume, it's not loud like Mademoiselle. It's a bit pricey as well (200 euro for 75 ml). I wish Chanel would sell the Les Exclusifs in smaller bottles as well, e.g. 35 ml. All in all it's a beautiful and classy scent that I now have on my wishlist!

One of the greatest masterpieces from this house in my opinion. Misia is a beautiful, delicate, floral perfume with beautiful notes of violets, which to my nose, plays centre stage. It has a gentle woodiness, a playful but hardly noticeable suede note, wrapped up in powder. To compare with FM lipstick Rose, POAL etc, I think Misia comes out tops. I don't know if Oliver Polge meant this to sell like the inside of your grandmothers' handbag, but to me, it has far more depth than that. The projection and longevity are excellent, especially for a Chanel fragrance, since I think they did lose their way a little in recent times, but this one is well worth every penny for its beauty, the way it behaves and its simple uniqueness. 10/10 all round from me!

I blind bought this from a reseller. And I’m so glad I did. This is the perfect, quintessential, lipstick-y makeup powder scent. Lightly sweet from the fruits, though never in a juvenile or synthetic or sticky way, with the fineness and softness of the powder in the background... I don’t get a frank note of aldehydes per se, though maybe that is what is giving this vague bubbliness and lightness to the perfume. To me, smells very similar to Lipstick Rose by Frederic Malle, except I find this one rounder and Lipstick Rose ever so slightly more jasmine-y in its florals. Scent: 10/10. This may even have displaced my favourites, 1957 and 31 Rue Cambon. Projection: moderate Longevity: about 7 to 8 hours Polarity: feminine

I love violets. Really love them. One may selfishly say these flowers were made to please - the nose, the eye, the palate. Violet scented perfumes usually make me think of youth, spring, simplicity, smiles... What Misia did was take these lovely violets and Chanel-ize them. It made them not only pretty, but elegant. Sophisticated. So well balanced and high-ended you can only bow your head in appreciation and cherish them. If Annick Goutal's "La Violette" is a happy flowery thing, ans Creed's "Love in Black" is a dark take on mossy violets with a touch of motorbiker's sweat, then Misia is that ageless beauty that'll catch your eye with her style, and your heart with her intelligence. My favorite violet scent so far.

I have grown to love this beauty. Yes I get the violets, powder and orris but there are also plenty of warm resinous notes that help give this lovely decent longevity. It's the perfect combo for me. I am surprised the aldehyde note is not more evident on me. I find the violet or iris note tend to feel cold on me as well as powdery. I then note the sweet fruit and tonka notes. Yes there is sweetness but it's just right to balance against the cooler notes. It smells a natural and grown up sweetness. Not surprisingly the resins are the last to fade. Imho there is something very feminine about this one but if it's a love then who cares. Moderate longevity and sillage on me.

Misia is like a contagious smile and happiness in a bottle. I always go back to Misia, just to catch the last whiff of her contagious beautiful smile like a thief in the night. Matter of fact, this is so fucking beautiful, that if you told me what perfume i would like to have forever and repurchase or refill it when its finished il always choose Misia over anything that I've ever smelt no joke. Also it's so funny it's named Misia, the perfume is literally what Misia from Death Note would smell like lol, to all my Death Note lovers, go check this out. Also RIP to you know... I don't gotta spoil, loved that mf so much too.

This isn't just a lipstick scent, this is THE lipstick scent. I love lipsticky perfumes but most of the ones I've tried that are truly lipstick haven't quite been FBW for me for one reason or another. Misia is the holy grail. Has all the cosmetic, waxy, powdery goodness of a makeup bag. The fruit notes lend some sweetness but don't overpower the scent. SUPER heavy on the violet, but the iris-y accord warms the fragrance and keeps it from veering into that icy Insolence territory. Amazingly feminine and easy to wear. It really has the je ne sais quoi that I didn't get from Lipstick Rose, L'ange Noir, etc. I'm in love.

gorgeous fragrance. the first blast of lipstick rose is slightly too bright, but quickly it sedates to a deliciously potent copycat of vintage balengiaga’s le dix EDT, the powdery violet playing hide & seek with the damask rose. since the vintage le dix EDT is even more difficult to find than the extrait (that is very different from the EDT, anyway), thanks to polge (who is a genius) we have a powdery violet/rose fragrance again in the market. let’s not forget that lavoisier taught us that rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée: tout se transforme. after all, they are both frenchmen. it stays, shamelessly, in the family.

Misia is a nice blend of sweetness and coolness. It is very linear compared to other scents in this series. On skin it feels like a dry and sweet mist of iris and rose. The scent is pretty simple, no spices or ambery notes here. But the quality of iris and rose used are superb. Is it overpriced? Hell yeah. Is it heavenly good? Also yes. The simple iris and rose blend is indeed similar to Lipstick Rose from Frederic Malle. However, Lipstick Rose is more green and balmy, and it has stronger leathery feeling, while Misia is slightly drier and sweeter. They give off completely different feelings on skin.

I’ve only just discovered Misia, and I’m delighted to have discovered a Chanel perfume that I don’t merely respect or like...but that I am in LOVE with. It’s exquisite! The dominant note all the way through is the most charming, nostalgic Parma-violet, but laced with other, very delicately portrayed notes. At points I get rose - a pale pink, early summer rose - and at times gentle wafts of lychee fruit. A dry iris cuts in to stop things getting candy-sweet. Misia is effortlessly graceful, utterly enchanting and everything I’ve been looking for in a violet fragrance. Full bottle worthy.

First spray onto a tester, and I immediately felt like I'd smelled this before: a love, for sure. MISIA smells so similar to BVLGARI SPLENDIDA IRIS D'OR. I have MISIA on one wrist and IRIS D'OR on the other, and to my nose, the Bvlgari is just the smallest bit sweeter, just barely. In a blind competition, it would be a tie. So if you're looking for a more affordable Misia, try Splendida Iris d'Or, which has about the same sillage and longevity. CREED LOVE IN BLACK is very similar, but the CREED has waaaay more projection and waaaaaay more longevity.

I was finally able to try Misia and it struck me upon application that it was very familiar. Guerlain Meteorites and Balenciaga Paris. That was it. No surprise there, as Paris is another violet fragrance composed by the same nose. Where Paris is all skyscrapers and diamonds- tough, modern, sparkling- Misia is sunset with a warm mug of Camomile tea- comfy, serene, sweet. They’re two variations on the same theme, just one is in the style of Phillip Glass and the other in the style of Brahms.

I spent my morning and a good part of my afternoon walking around Saks and Neiman Marcus, searching through every fragrance counter and asking to be shown they're most iris/orris heavy frags. Long story short, I went through Le labo, L`Artisan Parfumeur, Hermes, Guerlain, C Dior, Bond 9, Prada, Ramon Monegal, Jo Malone, Serge lutens etc. but Misia....Mmmmmmisia! Orris and lychee came home with me today in a full bottle. To my nose, it's one of THE best Iris frags in the market ♡♡♡♡♡

probably the best “makeup” scent ive tried. light and airy while still having great longevity (for a chanel) and sillage. I can always smell where i’ve been but not in an angel or hypnotic poison way. Its like smelling a ghost. fruity, powdery, dry, woody, papery from the iris and slightly sweet from the fruits+violet. I imagine for the right woman this is easy to wear everyday and to everything bc its lo key enough to wear to work and interesting enough to wear formally

Fruity, cold-ish, smooth, powdery, stunning violets with cedar, faint suede, lots of rose, and luxurious tonka. Gorgeous and quite strong on my skin. Lasts forever like most Chanels. The fruitiness keps it from being headache powdery (love you, YSL Paris, but you smother me and give me a headache). Misia is by far the best violet out there; superbly blended, a serious princess perfume, a slightly naughty fairy’s scent. Cheeky, yet very classy. In love with it.

Oh my goodness I adore this. For me this is a powdery violet candy scent, which is PERFECT for me. Not as simple and linear as Gucci virgin violet (which this reminds me a lot of), and not quite as fruity as guerlain insolence, but close to both of those. I’m not really getting the same waxy quality as other reviewers, but I can sense the rose, a very sweet rose at that. It’s feminine, powdery, sweet, delicate. So pretty, I love it.

Tested this on skin today. The opening is more fruity, but once it's settled down, the drydown is extremely similar to Serge Lutens Bois de Violette. I'd even go as far as saying that this must surely have been inspired by the Lutens. The lychee note does linger on skin though. But underneath is a 'bois de violette '. Needless to say, pretty much redundant if you own Bois de Violette! Also reminds me somewhat of Dusita Splendiris.

what i get right off the bat is powder. soon the fruitiness from litchi comes out, followed by rose. this reminds me of alharamain makkah, except this smells more natural. edit: this is candy sweet perfume but i wudnt categorize it as gourmand. fresh, powdery, rosey-sweet without being cloying. opening is loud, middle note is candy-like vibe that settles into one of the most beautiful drydown ive smelled so far. 10/10!

Many reviewers saying violet but it is actually a Powder/Iris bomb. Very well blended, hard to detect notes, when I dig harder I can smell roses lurking. On me it is waxy, latexy, leathery lipstick. I like Dior Homme Intense also but that one is too sweet. As one reviewer also mentioned it is a top quality unscented lipstick smell. Another masterpiece from Chanel. ★★★★★

Chanel Misia (2015) - 1920s ballet - #olivierpolge inspired from Misia Sert, Coco’s friend, was a patron of the arts including ballet. The fragrance starts off with powdery aldehydes contrasted by raspberries to modernize. Then it settles to Violets, Iris, and Rose mimicking facets of said dancer. It’s base is what grounds this powdery affair with Tonka Bean.

Uh. Mah. Gah. I’m in love...This is so beautiful on my skin! Soft, powdery violets and soooo smooth and sparkling <3 I smell like a lady =) Also, compared to FM Lipstick Rose, this is WAY better. Same type of scent, but Misia is ethereal, like a soft pink lipstick, where LR is bold, like bright red lipstick. LR is too harsh for my taste, Misia is perfection.

Testing my sample; airy powdery delight that strikes the perfect balance of fruity and woody. Leans dry and cool, perfect for spring. Not a major projector, it's a little under arms' length on me but it's still there 3 hours later. Best-suited for warmish weather, so spring and autumn, might not translate as well in the winter. Definitely full-bottle worthy.

Some of the reviews misleading. I have it and it lasts very long with a strong projection. And photos of my bottle can be seen above. I have most of the Les Exclusifs and all of them perform very good. Most strongest ones are Le Lion, 1957, Bois des Iles, Misia. And the least strong ones are Gardenia, Jersey and Beige.

In her tattered finery of satin and lace, Misia is the fragrance that I imagine for Miss Havisham from Great Expectations- a classic combination of powdery violets and sweet rose. Soft and faded, sitting close to the skin but regal, elegant and sophisticated. One of my very favourites in this line.

It smells like a makeup bag until the awful drydown that smells like a sneeze. It is such a shame because it is exactly what I’m looking for. A photorealistic cosmetic scent without the excessive sweetness. Update: I got the 75ml bottle today! The first 4hrs is worth it!

I did the sit down scent consultation when these all came out and I wish I remembered what came second as my love for this is unwavering so the second choice might be a good en that got away. Light, feminine, powdery violet sweet and just altogether playful. Beautiful ❤️

my favorite lipstick smelling perfume. Stunningly beautiful. Violets, orris, rose with a lot of powder. The leather and benzoin in the base really grounds the scent and prevents it from becoming too sweet. Cold, aloof, extremely high quality and unmistakably Chanel

This smells like a lipstick!!! IN LOVE! So so realistic. SO unique! I am truly blown away!!! This reminds me of an alluring, classy woman. It is truly ART to recreate such a scent so perfectly. I personally wouldn't really wear this but I can appreciate what it is.

I love this scent. Cue up Ravel's La Valse, with its "Misia" motif, and feel like it's the fin of some finer siècle. I hoard this EDP like it's the Rheingold.

All my favourite powdery stuff together enhanced by rose and ambery sweet dry down. A total inoffensive and we'll blended bliss.

Misia is the final boss of the clean-girl, sparkly, your skin-but-better, iris perfumes.
