Pour Monsieur Eau de Parfum

Wow! I've worn this fragrance (mostly during warm weather months) for more than two years, so I probably should post a review. The presentation is well done--both box and bottle--and the then new 75ml EDP bottle was pretty much the same as Concentree, and the juice looked to be of a similar lime juice coloring. I have only recently tried the reformulated Pour Monsieur EDT and now discontinued Pour Monsieur Concentree, so I can now make a comparison between the three. I get lemon-lime and neroli at the opening. Initially, I stood with my hands down my pants and that distance blank stare on my face (i.e., Al Bundy deep thinking) searching my olfactory database for any similar fragrances. I really couldn't come up with anything. It had some general similarities with Edition Blanche and Acqua di Parma Colonia Assoluta, but it's not creamy like and lacks that Allure DNA and Assoluta, which is quite sharp and slightly bitter at the opening. Pour Monsieur EDP is just a smoooooth lemon-lime scent with a touch of neroli. It exudes a classy vibe and I envision someone like Gene Kelly or Bing Crosby to be wearing this fragrance. Yet, it doesn't feel dated...at least not to me, but it may to a younger audience. This smooth lemon-lime-neroli opening lasts about 15-minutes on my skin before transitioning to an aromatic phase with a fresh spiciness to it. What I am getting out of this? The lemon-lime accord has faded, but the neroli is still handing around. Moreover, I am sensing a bit of coriander, nutmeg, cardamom and something giving it a touch of sweetness blended with this spicy accord. However, the sweetness is very, very light and I am not detecting any vanilla. T he aromatic accord is hard to describe. It feels like lavender, but I don't actually smell lavender. After 30-minutes I'm starting to detect a woody accord building-up in the background, which appears to be a gentle oakmoss note and...wait a second, I am kind of getting that Bois des Iles creamy sandalwood feeling...then again, I just noticed a hint of vanilla jumping out at me. Also, I noticed that it is smelling different when I sniff my wrist then whey I let it waft off my arm and up to my nose. An hour and a half in and things have now changed from my 30-minute observation, and this is where the magic takes place. I'm just sensing a fresh, aromatic, citrus, effervescent scent. It kind of reminds me of Sierra Mist soda with a bit of a vanilla cream soda and woody accord (oakmoss and sandalwood). But it's also very smooth and elegant. Until now I felt that Pour Monsieur was a suit & tie Spring/Summertime daytime scent. While true, I feel that it could now be worn in somewhat less formal settings such as light business casual or while on a Sunday brunch with family. Pour Monsieur EDP is a more mature scent (30+) but it's not at all dated and, while more of a formal fragrance, it has a bit of a playful undertone that makes it more versatile that I had imagined. I wear a suit & tie in the office so this is a perfect work scent. Pour Monsieur projects moderately and lasts around 7-8 hours on my skin, which is perfect for this kind of fragrance. After four hours the scent is close to my skin. Although it doesn't project out very far, it leaves a very nice scent trail that follows me when I move around. To me, Pour Monsieur EDP sits right in the middle of the Pour Monsieur and Pour Monsieur Concentree and hits that Goldilocks sweet-spot right in the middle. Cheers! By the way...Chanel Pour Monsieur EDP was not launched in 2016, as mistakenly claimed, because I purchased a bottle from Chanel.com on 1/4/2015 and it was available for sale in December 2014 if not earlier.

If you want a headbanger of a fragrance please do not buy Pour Monsieur edp (or especially the edt either). If you want to smell elegant, classy and a little understated then this could very well be the one you've been seeking! It's a beautiful, traditionally blended smooth masterpiece (a term often used but feels right for this review), an exception amongst modern perfumery. Something you can probably only appreciate if you've been around the block and seen a few things and know what works! Don't get me wrong, some days I want to wear a fragrance that'll choke out a herd of cattle, in fact I have a fair few that do if not controlled. But, there are many days when I just want to smell great in a more sedate and gentle way. If you also want something fresh, clean and completely non offensive.....voila! This scent is a superstar. The citrus, aromatic spices hit you on initial spray and will stay prominent for up to an hour, lessening but never disappearing for the duration of wear. However, they slide back into a beautifully made base and heart of gentle vanilla, lavender lightly dusted with florals, woods and nuances of something earthy. This is a mixture that offers a smooth, controlled experience, never jolting or explosive. A nod to gentler and more sensible times. Yet somehow it still has a place in the modern world. It's noticeable as a scent for 6-8 hours with the first 1-2 hours offering enough projection at around arms length, which slowly pairs back to something noticeable but more intimate over the next several hours. It's not meant to enact an act of chemical warfare and for that I'm glad. People will notice a delicate sillage for most of the wear as you swish by. Always pleasant and never overpowering, just classy and timeless. This is a fragrance that just does it's thing without causing any drama but still manages to make it's presence felt. Yes its gentlemanly but it's so classic that I'm sure any person over the age of 40, grounded and understands the "less is more" type of scenario would enjoy it. I also think that a younger male who takes pride in himself, mature for his years and has a something about himself would find Pour Monsieur very interesting and accommodating. It's a great alternative to the mainstream offerings out there currently. It's distinctive by the fact that it's not trying to take over the world or burn out everyone's sense of smell within 200 ft....yet it just works, going about it's business regardless of it's surroundings. This is a fragrance that can truly be worn at anytime, anywhere and by anyone who likes the profile, a person who has the confidence to step out from the crowd and has control of their ego. This will stand you out by it's true, timeless and classic nature amongst a sea of pumped up modern products (not knocking them as I wear them too when the mood and environment require it). I genuinely struggle to think of a scenario when this wouldn't work in a grown up setting. Just don't insult this scent by wearing it out on a lads, lads, lads night out which inevitably ends in a vomit smelling, testosterone fuelled nightclub! 😆 This Chanel wonder deserves more than that. The longevity is actually ok, 6-8 hours before a refresh is needed which is very acceptable for a fragrance that can be picked up for around £70-£80 GBP. All things considered it's great value for something so tried, tested and elegantly understated. It's a classic sports car that can still hold its own amongst all the modern, generic, fluorescent coloured and vulgar offerings....apologies, it's the best analogy I could come up with. 😆

This is phenomenal. It maintains the classic spirit of old school 50s and 60s barbershop fragrances like I presume the original, as well as Eau Sauvage, but this is so much richer and more dense which reminds me more of an 80s style barbershop fragrance. For that reason, this is the type of fragrance that could have come out at any time over the last 70 years and it would smell great. This is definitely for older guys, or guys who like more mature fragrances in general and that can be someone of almost any age I'd say so definitely don't count it out just because it's a mature fragrance. I think it does have similarities to Eau Sauvage Parfum, so I voted yes that it smells similar, but only to an extent and moreso on a broad spectrum. In the heart and base, they're both powdery, green, and with some slight almost cinnamalic sweetness. This is more musky than Eau Sauvage Parfum by far, this doesn't list musk but sometimes lavender gives off a musky, almost dirty/animalic vibe and this has a little tiny bit of that, but you could just as easily miss that aspect of the fragrance. Off the top, this and Eau Sauvage Parfum couldn't be more different though, the little tiny characteristics that make a fragrance memorable are completely different for each of them, but if you like one you'll most likely enjoy the other as well. This is undoubtedly masculine, yet it's not incredibly sharp to the extent that women couldn't wear it. I think you could wear this in any season, great signature scent for a guy in his 40s or 50s or like I said a younger man who's more into mature fragrances. This is more of a daytime type of scent, something you'd wear formally, so maybe even a formal night out type of fragrance to a fancy restaurant could also be a possibility. This is very versatile like a lot of other barbershop fragrances, just make sure you're well groomed and looking sharp with this one, it smells very dapper.

Pour Monsieur is a surprisingly rich, smooth fragrance, especially considering the strong lemon note. The citrus is dominant, but takes the form of a bright freshness rather than an astringent one. Its power is held in check by the vanilla, which yet again, feels much more subdued than many other more synthetic-sweet incarnations of vanilla. If it were up to me, I'd say this is much, much closer to a vanilla bean note than to a gourmand vanilla. The nutmeg adds a dash of nutty spice, and the lavender and vetiver are—as other reviewers have noted—very light and fleeting. The blend is beautiful and seamless. Pour Monsieur definitely has an old-school vibe, but there's a timelessness to it that prevents it from becoming dated. Classy, classic, and chic, all in one bottle (although I must confess that I find the bottle itself really ugly and clunky). I understand why this is qualified as a woody masculine chypre, but for me, this is more of an oriental fougère. The dusting of aromatics plus citrus give this a bit of a barbershop feel, and the vanilla-nutmeg hints at a sweet warmth. Imagine Habit Rouge minus the rose, then add some Organza. That said, I can't imagine wearing this in cold weather, whereas those latter two are much better in winter and autumn than Pour Monsieur, which needs a bit of heat to open up. Leans a bit more formal/masculine, but anybody could pull this off with jeans and a t-shirt too. I much prefer this over some of Chanel's more recent "young" offerings like Chance and Bleu; it has so much more character and depth!

Pour Monsieur is a captivating linear scent that masterfully combines the freshness of citrus and lavender, the creaminess of vanilla, the sweet spicy of nutmeg and the earthiness of vetiver. It is a well-balanced and refined fragrance that exudes charisma, class and elegance for a modern young gentleman. I was mesmerized by its scent when I sprayed it on a test strip and I kept coming back to smell it. It was like a magnet for my nose. I decided to buy a decant to see how it would suit me, as I was worried that it might be a bit old-fashioned for a young guy like me. But I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed wearing it. It smells divine and sophisticated, lasting for a long time on clothes and projecting well for 2-3 hours before becoming a subtle scent that stays on for hours. It makes me feel like a gentleman in stylish summer cotton or linen attire, walking in the street of a lovely summer vacation destination, even when I’m wearing sweatpants and a synthetic t-shirt. I am definitely going to purchase a second bottle soon before Chanel hikes its price again!

I hardly need to add my voice to this, but this is one of my absolute must-buys. Every man should try it once. It doesn't smell anything like Dior Eau Sauvage, but it is conceptually similar insofar as it represents a classic of the mid 20th century canon. I get a clean and creamy, although not especially sweet, citrus. French lavender (not the English stuff.) Honeyed bark and just a brushstroke of vetiver. That luxurious Chanel spice comes out too, although it's soft and very gentle here. I like to think about fragrance as people. There is a man who lives near me who is tall, slim, blond and very handsome. I think he's in his late 30s although he could pass for 10 years younger. There's an elven delicacy to him but also an imperiousness; a confidence. He is light, but not weak. He moves with the grace of a ballet dancer and is always beautifully, if understatedly, dressed. I don't know what fragrance he wears - he's too classy to ever wear anything that projects too much - but in personality terms, he is Chanel Pour Monsieur down to a T.

Opening I get a big blast of lemon, not a dish soap lemon, but a very smooth, fresh citrus. It is refreshing and invigorating and instantly lifts my mood. After half an hour or so, it gets to the heart and the nutmeg appears, adding a spicy depth that is both sophisticated and alluring. You can still smell lemon, just less strong, blending beautifully with the nutmeg. After a bit the lemon fades away, the nutmeg has a nice subtle, sweet, spiciness that blends in with the vanilla base for a lovely creamy dry down, without being too sweet thanks to the oakmoss which keeps it balanced, providing a warm, sweet yet not too sweet finish that lingers on my skin for hours. It never becomes overpowering or cloying, but maintains a pleasant, inviting aura around me. Great for any time of year. I prefer it to the EDT. Longevity: 6-7 hours. Edit: this site doesn’t show oakmoss as a note, but looking at the ingredients on my box from Chanel (and it’s on their website), they’re using the real thing: EVERNIA PRUNASTRI (OAK MOSS) EXTRACT

I came to Pour Monsieur while experimenting with a few traditionally feminine fragrances, such as Libre and No. 5, and found myself wanting something that satisfied that floral curiosity while leaning more masculine. Pour Monsieur did exactly that. It offers a subtle floral character, but it’s grounded by a classic woodiness that aligns well with much of my existing collection. This is a genuine contender for a signature scent for me. At the moment, it feels like a toss-up between Pour Monsieur, Sycomore, and Bleu de Chanel Parfum (L’Exclusif). Each represents a different facet of calm confidence, and Pour Monsieur occupies a particularly interesting space among them. I can understand why some people describe this fragrance as dated, but that hasn’t been my experience. To my nose, there’s enough refinement in the current formula to keep it feeling relevant today. Rather than outdated, it comes across as timeless — understated, composed, and quietly assured.

I do spend a great deal of my review time crying over reformulations. As any old man getting older by the minute, or just one who got wiser, I tend to like much better all formulas from before reformulation. There is no way around it, there were noble raw materials that had a complexity modern times lab-born molecule will never be able to replicate, as these molecules are manmade, not made by the gods in nature. But here it is a glorious exception. Whatever went under the bridge here, it went very well. If this EDP is a reformulation of the previous EDT Concentree it has replaced, it is BETTER, not worse, than previous version. Rounder, softer on the edges, same heart as the original EDT which has always been better than the Concentree version throughout the years. Now, it isn't broken, don't fix it!! Let it rest untoched for a decade or more. Take some time off you guys, a long vacation or something.

It took me some time to get used to this EdP. For about a year, I tried it on paper blotters, cloth, and my own skin, and finally said I have to get it. Upon the first wearing, it was nothing like my previous impressions - a heavy opening, a somewhat confusing development, and an elusive drydown. But I quickly adjusted myself (or rather my nose) to this masterpiece. Yes, the opening is strong and impressive, with a prominent sweet, patchouli-like note. But then lavender steps in, and woody accords gradually replace the soapy ones. I should call it a "perfectly packed vetiver". The drydown is smoky, dreamlike, endless. Pour Monsieur EdP has a sophisticated kind of charm without being too complex. Sillage and longevity are above average. A powerful and elegant alternative to my all-time favourite Eau Sauvage - sans myrrh and with much more presence. Here's a true classic, worth every penny. Recommended!

Good stuff. The reviews below do a good job of explaining it. It’s classy smooth freshness. It has that top of the line blending you would expect from Chanel. The notes just flow together pretty much perfectly. I think what I get most is the nutmeg, lemon, and vanilla. The lavender and vetiver are like the backbone I guess. Bottle feels cheap as heck, but the atomizer is amazing in terms of distribution. Even though it feels cheap the distribution is very very satisfying. The scent itself leans mature, but as always I think a younger person could pull it off. It has a professional environment/adult vibe though. Edit: the performance is very solid too. I sprayed it on my wrists 2 times each around 7pm last night, 9am this morning I could still smell it. It had evolved quite a bit but it was still very present.

I bet people gravitate toward this because it is a modernized legacy fragrance. I love it. It sits somewhere between department store Chanel and the exclusive lines. It is hard to find a sample. A simply beautiful and elegant lemon blended fragrance. It is fresh, gentle, classy and uplifting. It is giving clean and mature gentleman. Don't expect a citrusy gourmand vanilla like Ani or Ani X. It has soft vanilla presence that you may barely notice, to round out the edge and make it smooth. This is a barbershop vibe, aromatic lemon and nutmeg combo. Easy to wear at any situation. Won't scream at or slap anybody. I thought it effectively enhances any business casual looks with blazers, shirts or polo shirts. Projects nicely in the 30-45 minutes, and then lingers around softly for many more hours.

Timeless, elegant, and luscious blend of vanilla, musk, and citrus. The vanilla and musk notes are noticeable and compete with each other, neither fully dominating the other. There is a faint dusty smell that is also present in Habit Rouge EDT. Pour Monsieur EDP is a darker, creamier alternative to Eight & Bob’s Original (with E&B being the brighter and cleaner smelling of the two). Another classic fragrance that is directly similar to Pour Monsieur EDP is Guerlain’s Heritage. If you like Heritage, there is a high probability you will like Pour Monsieur EDP. 9.5 out of 10 Would I purchase a replacement bottle? Absolutely, a signature-scent worthy, year-round scent (excluding hot and/or humid days).

With this wonderful extended heat in late September in London I have had a chance to wear this more and I am really loving the late dry down. Its 20 degrees C outside and this fragrance works like treat in this weather, the opening does smells like an old mans fragrance with barbershop vibes but this disappears after 20 min, I am really loving the late dry down, 1hr is very nice 2 hrs is really nice and 3 hours in its divine with that iconic Chanel airy DNA. This was made for warm Spring / Autumn weather and I am now upgrading my like to a love. This frag is for men who want to smell like a real man as its rather masculine not for boys or girls but for man who has his shit together.

Amazingly nice smell.....lemon & lavender appear really heavily for the first 30 minutes (personally I wouldn't go out at this stage), then it settles down to gentle woody, sweet & a little bit soapy. Though it is said chypre type, the base note has a hint of oriental touch, thanks to vanilla and nutmeg. The sillage is moderate but the longevity is very good, so spraying once would be enough for half day (it may be overpowering if spraying more than twice) . If someone tries this on at the shop, please wait for 30mins to sniff - do not judge this perfume just after you sprayed. Probably it suits gentlemen who are over 30yrs old better. Can be worn for both office/day-offs.

This juice is gorgeous! Opens up with a sweet lemon candy note(which initially turned me off) but after about 15-30 minutes it starts to blossom a little and the harsh lemony vibe starts to mellow and the lavender starts to take over and it begins to feel more woody. This is a mature type scent. Def a signature scent on the right guy. I have had this bottle for over a year now and I'm just now giving it a real wearing. Projects and lasts just right. I'm really loving it. This, to me, fits right in between Chanel allure pour homme and coromandel. I suggest trying it out, it's truly a charmer. Suggested age: 35 + Scent 9/10 Longevity 8/10 Sillage 7/10 ❤️

At first when I bought this I had buyers remorse for a long time and I nearly went to the effort to try sell it on ebay but due to my failing of being a lazy person I never got around to doing that and I started wearing it again lately. I do not know what happened, perhaps my tastes have changed or became more accomodating or refined but I have started to come around to wearing this more and more and liking it more. Strange but this journey continues and I am curious to see how it will perform the rest of this week. In other words I find this is a fragrance you need time with to get to know, for now its a like.

I have just added this to my rotation to wear on not overly warm days and after one hour I cannot stop sniffing myself, my god I forgot how good this was. The opening has those old fashioned barbershop vibes but its that disappears after 30 mins then, 1 hour in it is certainly a more pleasant perfectly balanced airy soft scent with a divine blend of lemon, vanilla and nutmeg that does not come across overly masculine and is a nice change from the cliche blue / tonka bean mass market frags out there. Its a classy frag that could be worn with a suit or casually with some classy relaxed summer chic ;)

This is an exquisite re-take on the original. Consider it a far flanker - it is NOT an intense or durable version of the 1955. The 1955 is a herbal citrus, but the parfum is altogether meatier. It almost has a slight patchouli funk to it, like it's been sprayed over yesterday's Givenchy Gentleman (1974). Of course, being Fragrantica, you can't vote for that (just like you can't vote for vetiver in Fragonard Vetiver - go figure). The Citrus here is backstage,making things happen, not front of house as in male scents from the era (50s, 60s). I love it.

Pour Monsieur is spring in a bottle. Definitely smoother and more beautifully blended than the edt (I love the edt and its rougher edges). The edp is clearly a more modern take on this great fragrance and Chanel pulled it off perfectly; Fresh citrus and spicy, vanilla earthiness (Voila spring!) . Pour Monsieur edp suits the 25 and up crowd perfectly and can dress up or dress down. This fragrance is office safe and is perfect for days and nights out. Give Pour Monsieur a few sprays when the first signs of blazer and t-shirt weather begin to show!

Now that's good stuff! Excellent blend. Typical of Chanel with better performance than their newer fragrances. This is blind buy safe and signature worthy. Versatility is year-round to any occasion for nearly anyone - it leans more masculine. It's that good. The citrus is more prominent in the opening. On the dry down you get the rest of the notes and it warms up, with the citrus staying just enough to know it's there. Very smooth. This surprised me - I didn't expect it to perform or smell as well as it does. 5-7 sprays work fine for me.

Changed review as I now own and have full wear. Lemon vetiver and lavender start the show and are quite pleasant. The profile goes a little strange as the warmer notes push through with the lemon/vetiver still dominating. Once the top notes fade to a supporting roll and the nutmeg lavander vanilla dominate (20-30min) this is unbelievable. Still say I can smell both obsessions for men and women in this and a musc ravagur esq final dry down. Solid love Good performance on me, bottle is a ridiculous size for a 75ml but great atomizer

This is truly a cold weather scent. In warmer days it has a bit dated vibe with nuances of old school frags like lapidus, witch i hate... But in colder days it is a long lasting, warm, lush vanillish cloud with a distinctive chanel DNA. Borderline slightly feminine, with a beautiful blend of vetiver vanilla and lemon marmalade, It has that barber classic base that keeps it in the man area. Never overpowering, luxurious and not so difficult to wear. I find it quite often desirable for this or that occasion. Anyway, love it!

This scent is wonderful! I have just acquired a bottle after years of admiring the PM Concentree and more recently 'revamped' Eau de Parfum. It lasts a long time and projects moderately - I noticed it on myself throughout the day. A fresh (not sharp) burst of citrus, followed by rich and intense lavender and vanilla. It feels dry and green. This line dates back to the 1950s and it smells classic but not dated. I have previously dabbled with Eau Sauvage EDT but this feels smoother and warmer. I love it!

Pour Monsieur EDP is an incredible formulation from Chanel, given the IFRA restrictions on oakmoss etc. Oakmoss is actually still listed in the ingredients on the back of the box, which has to be rare in this day and age. To me this smells like a smooth, fizzy lemon & oakmoss cream soda, if one can imagine such a concoction! From my experience, Chanel do not mess around when recreating their classics. Basically a must have for any serious fragrance collector. Get it now before it changes.

Every time I wear it I’m impressed by how simple and good it is. I’ve tried Colonia, Eau Sauvage, and wore Platinum Egoiste for years. This is better than all of them. There’s none of the sharpness usually found in the “old school” types of fragrances. It’s not barber shoppy at all. It’s just lemon, vanilla, lavender, and vetiver. If you want something loud this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a subtle elegance to wear to anything it’s just about perfect.

In a class of its own! Want something delicate and elegant? Unlike anything on the market? Better than many other fragrances? Yes, masterclass perfumery alongside the EdT... both are special and have a real Chanel alike vibe, elegant but not pretentious and pleasant overall. Have a recent batch August 2022 8001 and it's fantastic! 10/10 creamy bliss, clean and vibrant elegant & macho fragrance Thank you Chanel for this gem! Will buy 2 more bottles as backup.

Perfect as a signature Scent. It won't kick people in the face like all the others scents that are popula today, but it is still noticable in a good way. This perfume isn't much spoken about by all the youtube influencers and is therefore are great pick to stand out of the crowd that is using all the mainstream stuff like bleu de chanel which in my opinion is the worst of all Chanels. You can really wear it everywhere and all the time. Perfection!

Opulent, refined, masculine, a Chanel classic that any serious collector needs in their arsenal, particularly those who lean towards a more traditional style. Even though there are not many notes listed the dry-down of this sweet/spicy chypre is captivating and takes you through a constantly changing, long-lasting labyrinth of scents. Chanel took barbershop to a whole new level with this revamped old school gem. Olfactory fine art.

Never owned the vintage Pour Monsieur but i own a decant of the latest PM edt formulation... ... to my nose PM edp smells very different than the edt... Truth is im in love with the EDP. So amazing!!! So inviting!!! Screams im a MAN...not a loud one, not the kouros kind but i can give you all a man can give...and you're going to LOVE it!!! You will never forget me!!! Sometimes im that kind of a man!!! 10 out of 10

Who the hell writes these pro's and con's? They're literally nonsense. Excellent fragrance though. A citrus forward fragrance that is more classic/mature/sophisticated. Good performance. I suppose it's suitable for any season but personally inclinded towards warmer seasons and maybe more formal settings. Can understand the comparisons to Boucheron Pour Homme. although certainly is not the same. 9/10.

Jacques Polge before leaving Chanel tried to save pour Monsieur concentrate by creating pour Monsieur EDP! Because of the new regulations imposed by IFRA Chanel was unable to keep producing pour Monsieur concentrate that's why Jacques Polge created the EDP version! A very fine job & it's a amazing Chypré woody vanilla scent👌 well done Mr.Polge🙏 Thank you for your great work over the years at Chanel❤️

Man did i wish i found this earlier, such a hidden gem that isnt advertised in the real world. Bought this after seeing a mini review on tiktok. Im personally a sucker for a clean barbershop smell and it delivered just that, it smells like you just got a haircut after being bathed in talc powder, smells so powdery and a bit sweet. Nothing too overly powerful, just the way i like it. 10/10

Love this perfume. But couldn’t Chanel spend a bit more on a better cap? It’s a large square piece of cheap plastic. So so beautiful. I appreciate it more as I age. Creamy lemon, warm vanilla set on a nutty base with lavender in the background. I do not get any vetiver. There is a clear chic Chanel DNA. Very warm and sensual, like a comforting cocoon. Feels like wearing a thin wool sweater of good quality I love it but use it mostly during those chilly months.

I’ve been using this perfume for years now. It exudes a sense of class, elegance, chic sophistication, and cleanliness. I’ve received numerous compliments for it, and it doesn’t have any overpowering scents. I absolutely love using it, especially during the winter and colder days.

Smells like a lovable father or grandad at Christmas who’s seen and done a lot but still has a story to tell. The man is bright and conservative but also warm and friendly, with an affable charm that glistens like nutmeg and radiates slowly like a candle gently filling a room.

Chanel Pour Monsieur EDP is not discontinued - all sources on the internet, the official Chanel store and AI says it is not gonna be discontinued. It is apparently just harder to come by in stores, comparred to Chanel Pour Monsieur EDT which is more common to find.

its a very good frag, office safe, but not a beast, only someone in your personal space can smell it. and it lasts and lasts and lasts, I can smell it even after a week on my jacket I have EDP and EDT Concontree, they are almost identical.

Beautiful classic citrus aromatic with a creamy dry classy base. Classic and slightly modernized. Absolutely beautiful. My favorite chanel I own. Performance is somewhat subtle and average longevity. 8.9 rating

It's an icon and one of the most adaptable fragrances of all time. It can be worn anywhere, anytime, any occasion. To me, this feels like one of the fathers of all modern designer perfumery.

I just love the smell but performance is lacking big time for an eau de parfum. If performance and silage were better this would be my favorite summer scent together with Habit Rouge.

Alittle modernized Version of the Eau de Toilette, which feels a little dated. A soapy fresh citrusy classic scent. With a little spicy base. Quite fascinating

@greg1187 I've heard before that IFRA didn't totally ban oakmoss. It still can be used, but up to only 0.1% concentration out of the total volume. FYI.

Lots of Vanilla and lavender. Traces of nutmeg in the dry down. It’s sweet and soft. Definitely unique and unisex. Miles away from the edt
