Fresh cedar with some vetiver support in the top. The base is full on patchouli and benzoin. Great, but after few wearings of my sample, I'm not sure anymore if I want a full bottle of this one. A bit too pathouli-esque, not enough vetiver-esque for my taste.

Subtle mix of vetiver, patchouli, juniper and pepper on a woody base. There's some nuance but I can't really separate it from the base. Odd. It just barely works, but it works. Clean, manly, dry and refined.

I can’t believe this one is made for men. Must be some kind of mistake. This Sheanderthal really likes this one! Ugg, me smell good. I’m not usually a fan of vetiver or cedar but it is so subtle and soft, feminine to my nose. It is a beautiful iris musk that elevates my mood for sure. VC is more complex than the Vetyver for women and lingers longer too. But I like both. I guess I’ve been living in a cave because I’m just now discovering the Chantecaille line of these ethereal, divine smelling perfumes. I find that you can wear ANY perfume from Chantecaille with this complementary background musk or Vetyver musk, one on each or both wrists (Kalimantan or Petales or Frangipane or Le Wild ) at one time for an amazing scent experience. Mic drop.... I have FINALLY ( 4 years! ) found what I’ve been searching for with Chantecaille. Thank you Fragrantica peeps.
