Oud Pagode

love this scent but it lasts MAYBE two hours and i do multiple sprays. so that’s a bummer. but good price point and the shop in paris is gorgeous. when you can smell it it’s a clean cozy musk with a tea opening. certainly not an oud!

Very indolic florals over a sweet musky base. It's lovely but fleeting, and as is the trend with perfumes that have 'oud' in the name, it's not remotely oud, even with my most generous, delusional imagination applied.

It's seems like a lighter, tea version of Fleur de peau. Very pretty but VERY close to the skin and seem to disappear after maybe 2 hrs.

smells good but no resistance. Pleasant, not persistence at all.

so i don’t love it. it seems like a nice scent, but i decided i’m just not the girl for it. the opening was a soothing, bright lotus and tea but it just went downhill for me after. i agree with the review that mentioned how it smelt indolic, and while i usually don’t mind that, there’s something in this that i don’t find works for me. when it dries, it kind of smells like fresh diaper or baby wipes straight out of the pack, like those really heavily perfumed ones, and it also reminds me of the church nursery in my review for ‘baptisma’, so i mean, 2 for 2 on the church-y scents.

Citrusy, light floral with a hint of tea (the leaf, not brewed). THe oud is dirty/rubbery. Not very much strength or projection, and I certainly don't smell any rice.

Tranquil, clean, meditative. Oud Pagode is simple but effective in evoking the kind of calming headspace that the name alludes to, but may dissappoint for oud aficianados. I get a big lotus note that reminds me just a tiny bit of Issey Miyake's Pour Homme Intense. The rice note quickly takes center stage along with cashmeran for a fuzzy, oddly sweet, starchy musk effect. The more I smell this the more I'm unsure it really clicks with me though. The top notes eventually begin to feel a little astringent and soapy on paper, but I find that happens with a lot of tea notes. The lotus also contributes to the idea of a floral scented soap with how distinct and synthetic it feels. Oddly enough the synthetic smoky-lotus shower gel vibe I get from Homme Intense is what makes it kind of cool, but this lacks the depth to go in that darker, mysterious direction. I'm basically unsure if the musky cashmeran body is doing enough to keep things interesting, but I imagine lots would love how clean and cozy this feels. For the price it's pretty decent. Not really a big oud or smoke component but there is some incense giving it a resinous body. It gets a little murky and damp as it dries down leading me to believe the oud accord is mostly cashmeran.

The opening is nice. It’s fresh, citrusy, and a little soapy. It quickly dries into a tea fragrance, with a good, strong black tea note. However, it sits next to a lotus/rice accord which I find synthetic and, again, soapy. There is also a big dose of pillowy white musk, and a light, tangy oud/wood note serving as the base. I think the clean, musky base is very nice, but the overall impression is a little generic. On the other hand... it’s very unique; a musky, aquatic-floral black tea with oud! A great concept for a fragrance. The execution just isn’t quite there.
