Calm Bliss

Calm Bliss is surprisingly my second favourite fragrance from the six perfumes released. It’s a watery lavender/orange blossom/neroli with sparkling bergamot, creamy cashmeran, soft palo santo and warm olibanum. Has that addicting smell that makes me want to smell my hand continuously after spraying and to wear it every day. Every day during spring and summer season because it’s a very light, breezy, fresh but sweet floral with dewy, aquatic tones. It’s an after the shower type of scent when you want something fresh and beautiful but simple and clean smelling. This is not a boring citrusy floral for me. Compared to other perfumes from the collection, Calm Bliss has that distinctive smell that makes it stand apart from the plethora of designer releases already available. It’s not necessarily a memorable fragrance but it’s nonetheless pretty and mass appealing. Smells and looks blue! Oceanic, warm weather, holiday, fun in the sun, that’s what I envision when I look at that bottle and get a whiff of Calm Bliss. It’s nothing new but has a different feel, it’s clean, soapy, but in a luxurious way, not cheap soap, and heavy on sweet florals as it dries down. Loses the initial burst of freshness.. Has a decent performance, on par with the rest of line, and minimal sillage. I find very tempted to get a bottle of Calm Bliss once it goes on sale. Also, the name choice and the colour of the bottle for this is spot on! Personally, I don’t think I have fragrances that are very similar to Calm Bliss, so it would be nice to have it in my fragrance wardrobe for the upcoming holiday in the South of Europe ... And that gorgeous turquoise/teal bottle (adorned with the ugly cap) speaks to my soul! Waiting for a good sale!

This fragrance smells exactly like Nivea cream in the tin can, and oh my goodness, I love it for that reason. It's not a sexy scent, but if you're looking for something clean, cozy, and calming, this is perfect. It might not be everyone's cup of tea as it can come off as slightly soapy. While it doesn't have any aldehydes (as far as I know), it smells very fresh and clean. This is the kind of perfume you'd spray on after applying lotion, after a shower, when staying in, working from home, or running errands at the grocery store or gym. It's very simple.

Smells like a spa!! It's beautiful, I will eventually pick up a full bottle... this is a magical bed-time fragrance. I'm really surprised, I've never been a fan of Charlotte Tilburry but I'm glad to have received a sample.

It is a very beautiful and pleasant perfume. To me, it smells like ERBA PURA and not like LIBRE, as listed in here.

As someone who struggles with both neroli and orange blossom, I did not expect to like this. However, I found Calm Bliss to be such a pleasant, light white floral fragrance. It holds both airy and watery facets which make it radiate nicely off skin. There is a powdery clean scent to this fragrance as well which made it great to stay feeling fresh in this recent heatwave across Europe. I’m pleasantly surprised as someone who doesn’t usually love these notes or white florals in general. I’ve finished my sample and would recommend to others. However, I think I’d purchase a scent that feels more me in the notes that I can truly love.

I never thought I would be tempted to get an aquatic fragrance, it is not really the scent profile I enjoy, but this one is surprisingly good. Without analysing the notes, it really smells blissful, addictive and zen like. CT Joyphoria is supposed to be a holiday scent, but I am considering getting this one instead - not 100 ml, but 10 ml for 20£ is a bargain. I see the whole Charlotte Tilbury release getting a lot of negative reviews - while I understand that these fragrances are hardly unique, they are really well blended. Very strange that those are getting trashed while Tom Ford's Vanilla Sex got an award .

As someone who’s go to scent was Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a dream I was absolutely gutted when they discontinued it. I ran out and bought the sample selection of the new scents in the hopes I would find it in there under a new name or at least a hint of it in there. Out of all the new CT perfumes this one is the best in my opinion. It’s not as good as scent of a dream but it carves out a place of its own. For Yankee candle fans it smells very similar to the storm watch candle which is one of my favourites. I will be purchasing a big bottle on payday as I can see it being a fresh, clean summer scent.

Pleasantly surprised by this one, probably my favourite of the series. Very soapy and airy and actually quite similar to Joyphoria but even more soapy if that makes sense. I like it.

A fresh scent, slightly aquatic, and gently green. Very subtle, with citrusy, fresh opening notes and a hint of slightly edgy lavender. It's gentle, quiet, and simple.

Surprising burst of sea salt and lavender orange. It smells like shampoo, which is kinda a plus for me. Dries down to indolic shampoo floral. 7/10

its real good. i feel like the color of the bottle when i wear it. not too crazy. lasts forever, so expensive?? 7/10

Aquatic white florals and lavender with some citrus. Nothing groundbreaking, but very pretty.

I’m not sure what to make of this one. It’s a heavy floral with an aquatic undertone, and in the initial spray those two aspects seem to fight for dominance. The florals (lots of lavender and bergamot) are quite loud, and at this stage it’s very soapy; definitely a “shampoo” scent. It improves as it starts to settle, with the watery notes becoming more prominent and the whole thing somehow cleaner, quieter, and calmer. Now I see how it fits its name. It’s probably not for me just because I find the florals too cloying, but it does last and project well and would make a good spring/summer daytime fragrance if it’s overall profile is your thing.

I haven’t found a CT fragrance that really like yet but I keep finding myself in possession of samples of these. This is the second sample I’ve had of calm bliss and I’ve used it for a bedtime scent. Someone below mentioned it smelled of baby wipes and they’re not wrong. But it’s not regular baby wipes rather a packet of pampers wipes I bought in South Africa - this is exactly that smell. It’s clean and fresh but strong so too munch for a laundry scent really - unless we are talking industrial hotel laundry! It reminds me of an expensive spa smell. Defo not unpleasant and it’s nice for bed but I won’t be upgrading it to a bigger one.

I was really hopeful for this and I blind bought it and I got it today. Libre is one of my favs and I didn’t find it at all smells like it. This is so much more masculine then feminine so the citrus kinda takes over in a cleaning product kind of way. I was so excited for this and while it’s okay it’s just not what I was hoping for at all and I had my eye on a diff perfume I wish I had of gotten the other

Pretty, gently aquatic and fairly common. It's the best of only 2 actually good ones from this line (this and "Magic Energy"). However, this is best for when you need to give a gift and be sure they won't dislike it -- very safe, but a perfume collector has no use for it. It's something you've come across hundreds of times in department stores, but it *is* very pleasant.

As others said. It IS a safe perfume. The safest of the collection and hell, one of the safest perfume that is sold at Sephora. In fact I already recommended it IRL to someone that wanted to gift her friend a perfume but wasn't sure of her taste. Not bad, but I wouldn't put 150€ in it either. If you like aquatic scents, go for it but you'll smell a bit generic.

This is one of the better fragrances in this line. Unfortunately, this scent is too 'busy'. The citrus, lavender and aquatic notes seem to fight against each other, leaving a rather generic-smelling fragrance. I would not wear this in hot weather as I think it would be cloying.

refreshing blue scent, a bit floral so not entirely aquatic. Perfect for spring, summer. Forgettable but easy to reach & pleasant. Fun to play around with a travel size or a sample but not worth a full bottle. Sillage & longevity are medium low.

It smells like a bath your rich aunt runs for herself with her reed diffuser or mist maker on in the background. It's not a bad scent, but I can't see when I'd ever wear it.

I'm not overly enamoured with Charlotte Tilbury's new line of perfumes. I find them overpriced for what they are, i.e. synthetic takes on generic scent profiles housed in tacky bottles. In my opinion, Calm Bliss is one of the worst ones. An aquatic floral is never going to appeal to me regardless, but this one is pretty bad. It smell very plasticky up top, with the synthetic cashmeran-musky base that the CT scents seem to have in common emerging as it develops. CB opens with neroli, aquatic and orange-tinged, but it smells synthetic and plastic-like. I get some essential oil-like lavender alongside it, an attempt at keeping this scent on-theme, but CB quickly becomes an weakly aquatic, plasticky orange blossom scent. It reminds me of an orange-y Alien - a scent ruined for me by its synthetic jasmine. The synthetic musk of the base slowly develops in the background, astonishingly improving this scent. The dry woods that also feature in Magic Energy are quite nice, grounding the amber base somewhat. I get some saltiness here too. The plastic florals linger however, wan and grey. It fades to a musky, chemical skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a feminine spring/summer daytime scent. Perhaps my least favourite CT, this scent is quite unpleasant, "rescued" by its synthetic musky base, the likes of which usually takes from a perfume. There is a certain type of synthetic white floral that goes rancid on my skin, and that is the case here, but I'm not convinced by it regardless. Far from blissful. 1/5.

I smelled the whole line, and I had really high hopes for this one-- it's a classic case where you can't be fooled by the notes. All of the notes listed tend to be things I love, but this just did not hit for me. The opening is lovely but brief, and the dry down becomes linear and screechy, reminiscent of cheap aloe for sunburns and cleaning chemicals. At first spray, there's a soft white floral with something bubble bath-like and sweet on top of the deeper aquatic notes. I think the bergamot really carries this scent in the beginning with the fluffy white florals. Within an hour, the dry down hits, and it becomes this generic, bathroom cleaner mixed with aloe gel for sunburns-- certainly "aquatic" but pleasant? Not for me. It's clearly trying to lean into the current clean girl trend, but I think this goes too hard into the aquatic almost men's cologne smelling arena. Hard no for me-- really disappointed! I can't parse out the notes much, but I think lavender in aquatic scents can often carry the composition into a cleaning spray territory. And here, the orange blossom really goes into a really synthetic and screechy space. I have to say, I love the concept-- CT hits nearly each major scent category in this fun rainbow array of scents for your mood; I just am not a huge fan of the execution on most of the fragrances, sadly.

This smells like if there were to be an underwater nail salon for imaginary sea creatures. I don't really find it nice, it's a very salty aquatic scent. I don't think it's bad in general, it's just bad to me - I agree with the comment saying people hate on Charlotte Tilbury perfumes and although I really don't like them myself, they weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. I think this is rather niche in terms of who it's for... if you're someone who likes the smell of places like a "spa" then I imagine this watery nail salon smell is good to you. It doesn't smell like a nail salon, just what I imagine one would smell like if it existed underwater..? I can see how this could also come across as a clean laundry scent - however this perfume is very sharp and bold to me and so I don't really associate it with laundry as much. Another review mentioned lavender and although I didn't originally pick up on it, I can sort or smell a concoction going on like it actually does smell like a dab of lavender was mixed with the strong aquatic notes... at least I smell something closer to lavender than I do to citrus to be honest.

I've only not rated this as 'Hate' as it doesn't smell disgusting. Would definitely say this is beast mode so if you're looking for that, here you go but it's a very bland fragrance. From afar, it smells like baby wash and up close like shaving foam

This isn't bad per se. But it is super generic, sharp, and boring. Not sure why it's getting high praise, it is very underwhelming and unmemorable. Cute bottle though.

"Smells Like" section is spot on. This is identical to YSL Libre Platine and Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme. Disappointing and unoriginal, just like CT cosmetics.

Cloying sticky sugary aquatic mens aftershave baby powder lemon cleaner. Super strong then fades to nothing in 2 hours. Migrane territory. Everything I hate in one perfume.

I wanted to love this and thought I did. I smelled this fragrance on 4 separate occasions visiting Sephora. Mind you, I had smelled a ton of other fragrances each time too, but I could not get this one out of my head. It was a beautiful watery neroli fragrance. Calming and inviting. After going back and forth in my head between buying a full bottle or a travel sample size, I ended up purchasing the travel size to make sure I truly loved it... and let me just say: I am so glad I didn't buy a full bottle. This smells of straight up BABY WIPES!! This has now changed to a "Hell No!". It just reeks strongly of the most generic baby wipes and I can no longer stand it because that is all I smell now. And the claim of "magic scent trail" that lasts up to 18+ hours is a big NOPE too, it does not last that long thankfully. Hard pass. I'm shocked at how much I thought I liked this at first. 🤢

Surprisingly, this is probably one of the stronger, if not strongest, scents from CT's new fragrance line. Refreshingly clean. 'Joyphoria' is definitely the most summery from the line, but I actually think this is the better summer scent! Do I like it? Yes, absolutely - it is perfect for those who love a fresh scent. Do I think it is worth its price point, however? No. I do think it is very risky for CT to have released a line offering only 10ml and 100ml given her previous failure with a fragrance launch years ago. Given the price point for a larger bottle, I do think whilst this is a very flattering scent, it is not special enough to add to a perfume collection unfortunately.

Honestly I think people are hating just to feel cool because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with any of the charlotte tilbury perfumes. I heard so much slander and then tried them all today and every single one is a hit for me. To say you hate any of these (other than more sex because it wasn’t my thing) is a lie. Especially this one, almost all of these perfumes are now on my wish list, there’s genuinely nothing wrong with the charlotte tilbury fragrances and the bottles are gorgeous at that.

I hate this perfume... Calm Bliss smells, from the start to the end, of lavender and aquatic notes. That's not bad in theory, but in reality, the aquatic notes in this case smell so cheap. Mixed with lavender, it's a disaster. This fragrance smells so cheap overall, like toilet rim block sanitizer and Kifra laundry perfume (which is really expensive but smells oily and cheap).

It smells like libre mixed with Chloe love story. Lots of orange blossom, fresh and powdery, and then clean lavender. It definitely smells aquatic too, but like you’ve stepped out of a luxurious bath. It would be nice in the spring.

neroli and water notes mostly like you would smell in generic men’s cologne. not anything unique. there is some sweetness in the dry down and a bit dry and soapy . unisex fur sure but i think there are better options

I find it strange this is compared to YSL Platine - I have both, and I don’t like Platine. I don’t see a strong resemblance at all. This perfume reminds me of lavender.

Cool Water Davidoff Women vibes whdn first sprayed! It's nice but not very on trend smell, feels like a 2000s perfume to my nose. Still nice though!

This is pretty and calming as the name suggests. It put me into a zen like mood and I find it strangely sensual.
