Hard to review. I could simply say a smoky aquatic but that wouldn't really cover it. To my nose the citrus is really blended well, to the point that it really isn't the starring role, merely supporting in the background, even in the opening. In fact, I didn't pick up citrus until the mid, which is counter intuitive. There is a round, slightly damp smoke and something I can't put my finger on. It is the most mainstream of anything I have smelled from the house, oddly enough. It could be worn for most occasions and it is really pleasing. Like literally everything I have tried by Shawn Maher it lasts for ages, especially on clothes, so zero longevity issues. Becomes more masculine as it goes along. Will gladly buy a full bottle. I don't remember the last time an aquatic was so interesting and complex.

Pleasant herbal lemon mix. I like it more than 1904 and Envoi (not in database) but Confluence is still the best from this house.

A bit unorthodox from what I would consider an aquatic scent. It starts a bit vegetal and smoky, but brightens and become more citrusy. There's a strange backwardsness to it that I find fascinating. I think the creamy tonka, citrus, and herb dry down is more appealing than the admittedly interesting opening. Really like to imagine the inspiration: "It is a modern scent inspired by the modernist design of the iconic mid-century modern riverboat." Huh, that's pretty specific, and yet I can see the connection to the fragrance.

mostly tonka in the opening with lemon verbena and ambergris, a hint of bergamot, lemongrass and musk; kind of a like a tame womanity with a bunch of tonka and lemon verbena/citrus added; dries down moreso ambergris; not a fan but interesting if you like ambergris frags that are aquatic/salty without being watery

Starts out promising with fresh citrus aquatic but soon the journey is derailed and the passenger left stranded in a smoky haze. A disaster at sea.
