70's Couture

I've had 70s Couture for quite a few months--today is my first time wearing it. This fragrance smells much better on skin than it does being sprayed into the cap, lol. It is not a groundbreaking fragrance, but it is quite pleasant. It smells as though, I've smelled this a hundred times before. This is because it has familiar DNA to other popular crowd-pleasers. The notes, although very few, produce a feminine, fruity experience--kissed with a subtle musk. Cher 70s Couture is, in no way, a power house! If you're looking for your fragrance to enter the room before you do, this is not it! This fragrance is very intimate, as it sits closely to the skin. Performance is poor in this one. It has very sketchy longevity and sillage. 70s Couture needs to be re-applied quite often! Smells awesome, but a very unsafe blind buy.

Ooo this is pretty! A soft floral that reminds me a little bit of White Shoulders. The musk and cardamom are delightful, bringing sweetness and coziness. The florals make me want to wear this in warm weather. The cardamom makes me want to wear this in the cold.

This is nice, smells like fall, would not wear this in spring or summer. Cardamom, and someone walked through the factory with a saffron flower. The pink cap and juice is deceiving. Very close sillage, does not project at all. Weak longevity. This would be a nice fall scent, but I don't think it would penetrate a heavy sweater. Pleasant and safe, but doesn't knock my socks off. Edit: Warm sweet skin smell in mid afternoon, quite pleasant. Turned "off smelling" by late afternoon.

The rollerball of this is okay, but not my favorite. I wish the scent was a little louder and the perfume was less synthetic. It's a very faint cloying scent.

Just found this at the thrift shop and entirely pleased with my bit of serendipity! Yes, a cologne strength, but a successful purchase indeed for one who enjoys saffron. I wasn't at all sure of the notes until checking here, but musk, cardamom, and saffron are most surely correct. I smell a sweetness from Jasmine or other florals as well. Enjoyable only if you like these notes. On me it was not metallic at all, but soft and gentle. Two other family members tested it on the same occasion and concluded it was 'not for them'. 'There's something cloying and too creamy about it', said one. The other couldn't smell anything much at all! Not recommended for blind buy often = Happy me. :)
