Chevignon 57 for Her

I just got a bottle of this one, and I can only say that I absolutely love it! It has something in it that reminds me of the smell of pipe tobacco which I adore. I don't find it fresh or fruity, though at first I'd swear I could smell something like ripe bananas in there... It is a warm, sweet and slightly spicy perfume. To me it's quite similar to Lalique le Parfum, one of my favourite scents, but slightly more mature, which is even better. Each time I smell it on my skin, it feels a lot like being in a vintage tobacconist shop... I just can't quit sniffing it, just wonderful!

This is a lovely Gourmand, just delightful on an overcast autumn day...the sweet quality is mesmerizing, not cloying at all, and as AKHEPERURE mentioned, it does have a nice pipe tobacco quality. The Rose is dark and rich. The Passion Fruit is not individually distinguishable, except for the "fruity" quality it lends. The base is a nice little Amber/Vanilla/Coffee number with a hint of Sandal. If you like "Fancy" by Jessica Simpson, but find it too young and sweet, Chevignon 57 might fit the bill. The concentration is mediocre, however, so you will need to re-apply throughout the day.

Weird and sort of icky. Sharp alcohol upon application then a soft muted vanilla similar to Cloud but with an almost mentholated tone to it. This smells like ointment with vanilla and white musk and sandalwood. But not the good kind. The cheap kind. Not fruity. Not gourmand. Not vintage.

OK everybody here, this I shall warm you up in winter perfume deserves more recognition for that quality. Nice affordable and by today's standards long lasting. What is here not to like???? Vanilla yes, Sandalwood yes, Amber yes, Coffeee yessssss please with lots and lots of sugar.

Chevignon 57...it does evoke that creamy airy Cloud-like quality which I think it's a combo of the base notes, which oddly I smelled first. The dry down is pretty and warm, with a little spice. I can see this formulation not being accepted by everyone. I think the musk gives off an ointment kinda vibe. Yet this on me is very pleasant. I wear this with Bare Vanilla or a marshmallow lotion, and use it as a base perfume to give other fragrances with similar qualities a boost. Think of JS Fancy. Similar vibe. Found 1.6 oz on eBay for $10. Autumn and winter.
