I am not sure if anyone will even see this review of a long-discontinued, not very well-known scent. But as I came across the Fragrantica sites for the Chipie fragrances, I guess someone else might do so, too. I was very curious to try this and the purple version because the pictures of the soda-like bottle conjured some memories of the late 90s in me, even though I don't remember having either fragrance. Luckily I could find a gift set of the purple and a sample of the green one on ebay. Now that I tried both, I know that my memories where about the purple bottle. The green one does not ring a bell. Anyways, it's a nice sporty scent that brings up some general 90s nostalgia. My sample came in a little plastic/metal baggie that I refilled into a sprayer, so it was sealed all the time and still smells good. I get the violet, mint and lime notes. It starts as a leafy green scent and dries down to a creamy-powdery, floral base. I don't find it especially sweet, only a little bit, and it doesn't remind me of a cocktail at all. It's soft and clean, not really my style but certainly a pleasant and easy to wear freshie.

I've still got and old bottle of this I bought in my student days. I never did wear perfum much which is why I didn't use it up. I think it smells rather like a caipirinha with the violet coming through just enough so you don't actually smell quite like someone has tipped their cocktail over you. It is a very uplifting sweet lime scent but not so sweet it is like pop, even if the very cool looking bottle is modelled on a pop bottle. I still like it, and it was really great value.

Chipie Green was close to the original Chipie, very sweet and bubbly, but with a cool, green accord. Now that I know it was lime and mint, it all makes sense. A rather unspectacular perfume, but a good, gourmandy bodyspray with average longevity.
