However, the listed notes overlook one of the most important aspects of the fragrance, which is the citrus. The following materials are taken from the box of a fragrance that clones it, and I find that they describe the scent accurately: • Methyl Anthranilate: a floral grape orange like scent that adds fruity sweetness and depth. • Limonene: a fresh citrus note that gives immediate energy in the opening. • Linalool: a soft floral spicy note that adds light freshness and balance. • Coumarin: a warm tobacco hay like scent that strengthens the base and longevity. • Citronellol: a lively rose note that gives the heart a fresh floral character. • Citral: a sharp lemon note that boosts and enhances the citrus opening. • Geraniol: a soft rose tone that balances sweetness and freshness. • Cinnamal: a warm cinnamon note that adds glow and aromatic warmth. • Eugenol: a spicy clove scent that increases depth and strength in the dry down. Of course, most of these materials are in trace amounts. The main scent profile is light citrus + cedarwood + Iso E Super. 9/10

I have been a loyal fragrantica reader for many years, and have always longed to write a review for the scent of my dreams. I am thrilled to say I think I’ve found it in Cedrus. Let me first say that I now have the pickiest nose on earth. Over the years I have come to not be able to tolerate synthetic scents. I wore Pucci Vivara for a decade, and it was the *only* smell for me. I couldn’t imagine anything more beautiful. Electric green and complex and spicy with a youthful zip. People would stop me on the street and ask what perfume I was wearing. It drove men crazy. Maybe it was a hormone shift, or the bottle turned... no idea, but one day it started repulsing me. What was once my perfect scent now smelled like astringent old lady perfume. And I began my hunt for my new signature scent. That was in 2017. I have been searching for 5 years! I seriously think I’ve smelled every perfume in hopes that one will stay, but nothing worked. If it smelled good at first, it was powdery in the dry down. If it had the right citrus, it was too immature and lacked complexity. Then I walked into Nordstrom and told my story to the natural fragrances associate. He walked me over to the Chloe Fleurs collection and sprayed me with Cedrus. I fell madly in love on the spot... and to my delight, 4 hours later it got even better. I couldn’t stop smelling myself. I found my scent! Cedrus is so special. It is equally earthy and elegant. It’s a summer BBQ in Laurel canyon at twilight, and everyone is barefoot. It is unisex but leans slightly feminine... I’ve never smelled feminine woods done better than this. And the fresh, lightly spicy green finish. It is exquisite.

First got my hands on Cedrus late-October of 2021.. and I have loved it ever since. Mellow, woody, fresh.. this is an ageless and timeless scent. Effortlessly beautiful. It presents a picture, at least to my mind, of a finely dressed woman whom will absolutely throw her heels deep into a forest whilst digging her toes into the dirt. It is like taking a deep breath of slightly musky and slightly salty seaside-mountain air. A bit of a 'spa'-like scent but in the sense of being pampered in an outdoor apothecary enclosed by Banyan trees. It makes me feel like an explorer, a nomad, a wanderer. A bit translucent at times.. my suspicion is that if the scent was too dense then it would read as slightly 'barbershop'. Instead what we are left with is something that dips its toes into rather 'less-fem'/'more-masc' waters without ever getting ahead of itself. This airy-quality is very enjoyable to my nose--some may find this to be a bit overly-reserved and I get that but, for myself, I find this to be a major part of its appeal. Lasts about 7-8 hours on skin and with a more intimate projection as it dries. Can still detect it around the 10-hour mark but lasts a whole lot longer on clothes + linens. Can be cooler-weather coded but I find myself reaching for it at any time of the year although more so during the day than at night.. although I can see how it can work quite beautifully as the sun dips under the horizon. Layering it with something more floral could really amplify her potential nighttime vibe. Love, love, love..!

Beautiful scent with many of my favorite notes. The oakmoss reminds me of the oakmoss in Nomade Absolu, which is another favorite of mine from Chloe. However, it’s much lighter than Nomade, which is a fall scent for me. To my nose, there’s a also a citrus green tea smell that reminds me of The Yulong and EA’s Green Tea. It’s woody, but the sandalwood doesn’t dominate. The vetiver keeps it fresh, but it isn’t earthy like the vetiver in Terre d'Hermès. The addition of cardamom adds a hint of spice, but it’s not as strong as in Gris Charnel. The dry down is my favorite part. It gets better and better as I wear it. I could even call it a hint soapy, but not like a Chanel fragrance. Absolute love for me and my favorite Chloe Fragrance so far. It could easily be a signature scent for spring through fall and on warmer winter days. (This is one of the fragrances I get compliments on, which is nice.) I don’t think it’s similar enough to Light Blue or Wood Sage & Sea Salt in any way that would make it redundant to own. It’s really just in the same category as those scents (an airy, woody scent), but very different to my nose. I own all three and this one is my favorite. This is full bottle worthy. It’s my go to scent in the warmer months.

It's lasted 12+ hours on me, and I kept getting whiffs of it during the flight (which was very welcomed since someone took off their shoes and the cabin smelled like feet). It smells really nice. It reminds me of wearing pale blue linen, cognac leather loafers, simple gold jewelry. It's very clean, woody, natural-smelling and high end for sure. I smell some of the OG Chloe DNA as well when it dries down--the sort of wet pavement note that is unique to the brand. 8/10, timeless, elegant and clean. Safe blind buy IMO; I can't see this offending anybody. I'd love a little citrus or salt notes to balance out all the woods but I like it enough as is (granted I LOVE woodsy perfume). This smells nothing like D&G Light Blue (which stinks of lysol) and much more refined than Wood Sage & Sea Salt (which smells like air freshener/room spray). If you like chypre or woody scents (Diptyque Orpheon comes to mind) this is an excellent daytime fragrance. Worth a FB for me honestly. Blind-reach, easy and effortlessly elegant. I bought a discounted decant of this secondhand because of the hype around it on social media, but more to satisfy my curiosity than because I really expected to like it. I was absolutely shocked by how beautiful it is. To my nose this has an almost sparkling feeling to it, like the clean green cardamom and citrus are a little fizzy together on top of the cozier woods. But that element also stays throughout - on my skin this smells almost exactly the same hours into wear as it does seconds after spraying. And it is STRONG for something so fresh. Granted, I lean towards freshies so my standards are almost certainly very different from most people's. But if I put this on before work in the morning I can still smell it on myself even after I get home about 10 hours later. And it lasts for days on a sweater. I finally just bought myself a secondhand mini bottle and can easily see wearing this through all four seasons.

my daily wear for close to three years and i am still as obsessed and mystified by this perfume as i was when i first sampled it. the opening feels citrusy to me, fresh, sharp and subtly warm- and it slowly settles into a gorgeous woody cardamom. perfect for every season, it is both comforting and elegant. to me, it smells like coming home, like the feeling of a long hug from a friend. it evokes something golden, like sun-warmed cotton bedsheets, a cosy cottage, inner peace. a very intimate scent that lingers beautifully on skin and clings to clothes for days. echoing what others have said about the necessity of overspraying- as this line was made for layering, this requires a heavy hand to shine as a standalone. but there is no better feeling than wrapping yourself up in a mist of Cedrus before leaving the house. it never fails to make me smile when i catch it on myself.

Cedrus smells like peace. It’s fresh, woody, and quietly beautiful...like walking through a calm forest at dawn. Nothing loud, nothing flashy. Just a grounding, elegant scent that feels like home to my soul. What touched me most is the story behind it .. Quentin Bisch, the perfumer, created Cedrus from a childhood memory of his father gifting his mother a bouquet... not of flowers, but of branches. That tenderness lives in this scent. You can feel it. It also reminds me of my own trip to Banff... the stillness, the air, the sacred hush of nature. Cedrus holds that kind of memory, gentle and deep. I recently added Cedrus to my collection. I love the woody, citrussy and fresh brightness. However, I'm pretty sure I have selective anosmia and I struggle to smell the fragrance on myself after an hour or two. I thought there were less synthetic molecules in this one than in other Quentin Bisch creations. But apparently, there is still too much Georgywood in there, Ambrofix, and Akigalawood for my nose. These cause olfactory fatigue for me, so I'm going to have to try a trick I read about: first of all, not wearing Cedrus every day. Second, not spraying it on my chest and neck, but rather on my wrists, and the hems of my garments. We'll see how it goes! It's too bad because I really love the opening. Just thought I'd flag this here for anyone who might have the same problem as me.

I am kind of new to predominantly woody fragrances, but this is so lovely. What isn't mentioned in the notes is an underlying slightly sweet creaminess that balances out the woody notes. I suppose that could be from the cardamom, but the sharp aspect of cardamom isn't present as I've experienced with other fragrances. This could easily be someone's signature scent, as it could be worn year round. For an evening out, it could be layered with something else --vanilla, floral, or even something deeper. I ordered the big bottle during the Mother's Day sale at Nordstrom and I am eagerly waiting for it to arrive. I have travel sizes of several of the Atelier des Fleurs fragrances, and the only one I didn't care for is the rose scent. Quentin Bisch certainly created another masterpiece.

This is the second best or maybe ties with the Iris one as the best in the line, only problem is projection, although this is better than the Iris one in this regard but its still bad, this is my review to the Iris one, which is applicable to this one: “ This is the best in the line and best Iris ever made, in terms of scent its 10/10 But I’m done buying perfumes just based on scent, its doesnt matter how good it is if nobody can smell it, including you, even if you overspray. I sprayed around 30 sprays and can bearly smell it. Scent 10/10 Overall 1.5/10” - I rate this one overall 4/10 because it has better projection than the Iris one But in terms of scent alone its an easy 10/10

Sophisticated, timeless, versatile, truly suited for any occasion and any season. That’s why I always keep it in my collection. It feels so natural, never artificial. The notes are a balance between woody-earth-soapy, with a citrus touch. It stays close to the skin and remains subtle, yet it never goes unnoticed. People often ask what perfume im wearing, and some even say they already associate this scent with me. On my skin, it has good longevity, lasting around 8 hours. I usually wear it to work because gives me that feeling of “i can handle anything”. The truth is, this fragrance won me over little by little. Every wear, i discover a new layer to appreciate

Wow, this is a gentle, diaphonous veil of a lightweight scent. It is simply beautiful! Weirdly, the opening on me took on quite a fresh grapefruit / bergamot type note (not listed), but then levels out as a light and slightly spicy (cardamom) cedar. It is a woody, but it is definitely not a linear one, it is infinitely wearable, and totally unisex! What I will say is that if you want anyone else to smell it you're going to have to overspray! This one really is quiet and understated but, that said, it lasts as a gorgeous skin scent for hours and hours! 100% recommend at least a sample of this, it is totally worth it!

I love this fragrance. The notes do not accurately capture what it smells like. This is a citrus/musky/soapy scent with some “clean” woody notes. It somehow gets stronger after a few hours and is more powerful in the air than when smelling skin directly. This lasts easily 12 hours on skin and projects well. It’s so clean, inoffensive and versatile. Very similar to Armani Vetiver D’Hiver, but this is its more synthetic/molecular and potent sibling. I disagree with comparisons to Sous Les Pins. I somewhat agree with comparisons to avoid Inperials, but this is much more delicate and unisex/slight feminine leaning.

I smelled this in a duty-free as well. They were sold out so I settled for a few sprays on my hoodie and a few more sprays on a Chloe card. This is exceptionally clean. Aromatic, woody and soapy. It smells expensive and unique compared to my other fresh scents. I don’t think I have anything else with cedar in it but this makes me wish I did. Despite being a “clean” scent, it’s strong and lasts forever, similarly to PDM Valaya (though they don’t smell alike). The Chloe card smelled for 10 days before my full bottle arrived from Chloe and I threw the card out.

This fragrance is awesome. My wife has a bottle and indeed it is divine. It is a clean woody scent with staying power. The sillage is enormous as well. I am surprised the votes do not suggest that. The first time my wife sprayed this fragrance, it stayed in the room for close to 6 hours after she had left. This morning she picked up a dress she sprayed this fragrance on about a week ago and immediately, the whole room smelled like this. That is how good it is. I am thinking of getting a bottle for my self. She actually calls it her "Rich Auntie" fragrance.

This smells AMAZING, love at first sniff! It’s a very fresh green scent that’s appropriate for any season IMO. The cardamom note in this just makes it more unique. I see people compare to this to Nomade but I don’t think they smell that similar, they’re in the same scent family but Cedrus is more unisex and green. There’s no citrus note in this but I see what people mean when they say they smell citrus, I think it must come from the vetiver note. When I smell this I imagine myself walking in a quiet forest

Same DNA as in Chloe’s Nomade EDP. Not that fruity nor thick, less of a dusty moss note in the dry-down, feels like a calm, clean, airy, sour, woodsy, superior Nomade flanker with a very bright cardamom note in the opening. I probably don’t need it cause I’ve already have Nomade EDT and Nomade Absolute but I do want to. It will be easier to wear in summer as it doesn’t need moderate in warmth and windy weather to pull it off. I don’t see any resemblance to Ganymede nor to Bois Imperial though.

Beautiful green, woody, clean scent. Somewhat simple scent that just smells divine! I smelled it at an airport Duty Free and purchased it right away. I love the bottle design, so chic and elegant. My only critique is that it doesn’t last very long and needs frequent reapplication. In 2026 4 more new additions will be released to the Chloe Ateliers des Fleurs line (3 of those are created by the same perfumer Quentin Bisch), cannot wait to try those, hope they will improve the longevity.

Quentin bisch never holds back his artistiry and creativity. This is one of the most complimented fragrances I have, basic ingredients yet so well balanced, so fresh and aromatic. This is my second 120ml bottle and this is in my top 10 fragrances. Some people are comparing this to santal 33 and I don’t think it’s a fair comparison as I have both. Santal leans more citrusy and I could smell metal in it while this is fresh and feels natural like you’re walking in a floral forest. 10/10

To me, Cedrus smells clean, fresh, and woody, with a creamy touch. There’s something soft and delicate about it. It’s a simple fragrance that you can wear every day. I do wish the scent had a stronger scenttrail, but maybe that’s also what makes it so easy to wear, it never feels too much. I bought this during a road trip through Scotland and wore it every day. Now everytime I wear it, it brings back memories of a breathtaking scenery of mountains, lakes, and endless trees.

I love this scent. I went on a deep dive looking for a scent similar to She Wood (Daphné Bugey) and this was one of the recommended perfumes. I ordered samples of 13 different scents and this one stood out immediately as being a peaceful and earthy scent. It's fresh and clean and I may have to order a full bottle- I just need to test out the other samples. Edit: It is quite weak and I don't smell it after an hour or so.

This is a more feminine woody perfume. Highly sophisticated and elegant. It does feel a bit better for an older woman, but I still feel comfortable wearing it. It lasts forever but isn't overpowering with silage. Worth a try if you love woody scents, but avoid it if you prefer very sweet/gourmand fragrances. This wouldn't be out of the question for a man to wear, but it doesn't feel overly masculine.

My another love from this house. Incredible work. They say devil is in the details and with this fragrance it is very accurate. It's like finest piece of lingerie, soft, hugging, and has enough beauty to embrace the skin. I always loved Chloe for what they create and this collection is truly worth it for me. I par this one with mimosa and neroli and end result is always great.

This is such a nice woody freshie. It leans a tad sweet. The performance isn't great, it goes about 3-4 hours on me, but I don't mind, especially with a daytime freshie like this. Allows me to switch it up easily for evening. I honestly can see this being a year round scent. Great for work environments and airplanes because it sits close to skin. I really enjoy this perfume.

Finally, Quentin Bisch is not copying himself! For me, this is the best perfume of the year. I enjoy every single second while wearing it—the freshness, the powdery touch. It feels very calming and classy to me. The sillage and longevity don’t quite live up to the high price of the perfume, but at the moment this is my signature scent. I truly love the cardamom in it.

This reminds me of a rich lady in her 40s wearing belted high waisted jeans and a linen blouse. She's wearing all gold jewellery with a messy updo. She looks like money without trying too hard. She's classy and chic but relaxed and comfortable. I know the word 'chic' is thrown around a lot lately but to me, this fragrance IS chic. Effortlessly classy.

This is a beautiful, spa-like, clean and refreshing scent. We have had a few family vacations at the Sugar Beach Resort in Mauritius and I have such fond memories of our times there. This is exactely what the resort smells like. I have been searching for a perfume that captures that scent for a very long time and I am so happy to have found it.

This is woody and fresh and there's a little spice there, but it doesn’t feel heavy. It still feels light and airy and fresh. I smell this and I imagine the smell of glamping - clean, luxury, but you still get the feeling of warm woods and fresh breezes. Perfect for every day and can be paired with so many other scents.

Something classic and easy to wear. It’s understated and comfortable. The cardamom note is excellent here, giving a solid ground to its soapy freshness. Somehow reminds me of the pencil shavings, and on the next whiffs it’s vintage. It’s young, transparent and unassuming. An easy reach for every day use.

On my skin, this is a very soft interpretation of wood. I get the oak moss and cardamom, and overall it smells rather feminine. It doesn’t make me think about beard shaving nor boxing 😀 it’s good to add depth to a floral perfume, but it can be worn on its own as well. Last for a few hours.

This is rich girl vibes. So efortless, so chic, woody, but has a clean quality about it ( not soapy by all means or laundry detergent vibes) clean as in put together. You smell fancy when you wear this, period. Getting a full bottle ASAP! Do not sleep on this!!!❣️❣️❣️

The scent is very woody and fresh. I love layering this with Oud and I always get compliments EVERYTIME I wear it. It smells very clean. I also bought this as a gift for my brother in law and he fell in love immediately. I would say it is safe for a blind buy

Light, airy, cardamom, cedar. Bubble bath. Clean. Sauna. Pleasant scent. Absolutely unisex. Safe fragrance. A wooden house in the middle of the forest, with a sauna. A light wind blows through the trees. On a dewy morning with cardamom tea in your hand. :)

Blind bought and was not disappointed! I really enjoy this fragrance. It fits really well in my collection. It’s very light clean soft wood.Easy wear. Classy elegant chic mature soft clean feminine. It’s very pretty! Love it!

Warm and cold, shiny and earthy, light and deep. I have never met a perfume that became one with me like this one does. Soft woods, but not creamy. Graceful, botanical. Adore this scent forever and ever.

All year round kinda perfume, it’s fresh, its woody, its not dull. Something makes it special extra special, must have in your collection if you’re into fresh, suitable all year-round.

It is a very nice parfume. Soft, woody, dreamy. However, it smells masculine to me. I can’t imagine a woman wearing this. I’m giving this to my boyfriend since I love the scent.

Beautiful scent, unfortunately fades quickly on me but lasts longer on clothing. Initial spray could be likened to meyers-esque natural/fresh cleaning spray but in a good way.

Damn this is nice! And I think pretty beast mode. The notes sound like they could be pretty masculine but this is feminine leaning unisex and oh so pretty and clean.
