Iris

Chloe iris definitely has much more notes in it. It is a unique iris scent if you have the experience to analyze. An amazing green iris at the top. It makes you feel that it is very natural and also airy. Buttery and soft. A few minutes later, you get a coconut like smell which is somewhat indolic. When the floral jasmine notes come in, it becomes full bodied and much denser than the top notes. I never really liked iris with other floral notes, i believe it shadows the beauty of iris. So, the iris-jasmine clash is not pleasent at all. It still smells very irisy in the air though. This phase lasts for 2-3 hours. When the drydown starts, i get an amazing and airy tonka bean note with sandalwood and vanilla. Iris with tonka really amazed me here. The drydown is a nice surprise after those somewhat challenging mid notes. The drydown shows its beauty only on skin, paper test will probably make you think this is a one dimensional scent.

Here is a lovely scent if you like a pure iris, don’t mind having to re-spray (or prefer discreet scents that don’t gas other people) and dislike many fixatives used to give iris lasting power. I adore the note of iris, but it’s often accompanied by other notes or aromachemicals I like less. I would say this is just a clear iris note over a sweet slightly musky base that may be sandalwood with ambrette. Very uncomplicated and short lived, but I really like to spray it when feeling a bit down, unwell or just in need of a comfort undemanding scent. I’ve been using this a lot with my other Chloes, often at home or going to bed. Really glad Chloe has this line, and hoping it sells as I’m very much in the market for it.

I fell in love with this scent in the spring and summer. First of all, it’s alcohol-free, and when I spray it on my skin, it gives off a scent that reminds me of herbal roots soaked in liquor — almost like a medicinal root-based liqueur. There’s an earthy undertone at first, followed by a soft powdery trail that lingers on the skin. It doesn’t last very long on the skin, but there's a faint, pleasant trace that stays close. On clothes, however, it lasts longer and doesn’t overwhelm in crowded places thanks to its light projection. It feels clean, subtle, and distinct — yet hard to confuse with any other fragrance.

One word: gorgeous. Just magnificent in its simplicity. The opening is just that - a pure iris/orris, green, vegetal, slightly buttery. Iris is my all time favorite note by a mile, and I really wanted to smell it by itself, unmixed with anything, and this is exactly what I've been looking for. Unfortunately, this beautiful opening does not last long, maybe 10 minutes? And then you get a base that feels like mostly ambrette with faint hints of iris.

I am surprised not to see any green notes. The green freshness of the opening hides Iris for an hour or so. Smells like flower stems. This is a very gorgeous iris scent. I do get a blast of coconut oil in the opening. Not the sunscreen-leaning coconut, but rich buttery oily coconut. Almost nutty. I can't say I've smelled a coconut iris composition before. It's a very beautiful and unexpected pairing.

beautiful fragrance by all means, the opening is very attracting and the dry down is something els from a person who loves iris I should say this is the best I have ever tried. Over all 10/10

Warm and earthy iris - lovely gentleness

Cold. It’s early spring in the forest. Snow is still in patches but the green of new growing things peeks through. The rooty iris smell reminds me of the forest floor. I like it for what it is, not as an amazing ode to iris. Just a simple soliflore.

I can't believe it's just 'IRIS'. When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of green herbs like angelica, and then there was a complex scent of sweet iris, ambrette, sandalwood, and tonka. It feels cool like cardamom, and it's quite unique. I think the complex of various kinds of scents makes up the identity of Chloe Iris. Chloe's Iris has a unique sweetness that resembles other perfumes that graft iris onto figs or express it with amber. But it doesn't 'develop', it lasts almost like a first impression. It's not complicated or heavy, it's clean and easy, so I think it can be used in summer too. A similar image comes to mind to Frederic Malle's l'eau d'hiver (although not quite the same scent). This is a 'flower iris' that does not smell like roots, dirt, dust, soap or powder. It's not the ultimate iris I was looking for, but I think it'd be good to use when I'm tired of overpowering fragrances.

This is the best in the line and best Iris ever made, in terms of scent its 10/10 But I’m done buying perfumes just based on scent, its doesnt matter how good it is if nobody can smell it, including you, even if you overspray. I sprayed around 30 sprays and can bearly smell it. Scent 10/10 Overall 1.5/10

I just tested it on skin and while the opening is beautiful and intense, it turned into a nutty skin scent quite fast. It smelled familiar and couldn't put my finger on it. Then, Eureka! - it smells just like the CCC shops in Europe (they sell shoes and have their own shop scent, not for sale). 😅

I dont know what to think... it opens with iris kind of scent like today many do... kind of paper suede iris... it seems quite sythetic and then there is Coconut... then it blends together and create very similar scent to Boise d’ farine from L’artisan Perfumer ... Longevity is maybe 2-3 h

This is the Holy Grail of iris scents to me. The deepest and richest orris butter is used but it is also fresh. It’s a slightly waxy smell but if you like orris or iris you’ll like it. Other scents (Prada Infusion d’Iris, Diptyque Fleur de Peau, ELDO La Fin du Monde) pale in comparison.

This smells good by itself but can be layed with musky or rose perfumes. Clean, soft, simple, job interview, inoffensive, unisex. Love it!
