Nomade Nuit d’Egypte

I love it so much. It's not straight up orangeblossom. Yes, it's a crowdpleaser, but what's wrong with that? Performance could be better but still good. 4-5 hours on skin, on clothes, the whole day and then some. The sweetness is juuust perfect! And that drydown vanilla 🤤... What does it smell like? Well, nothing like nomade, just a hint of the DNA far far in the background. Opening a blast of orangeblossom and candied fruit. Mmmmm. Zero cinnamon t.m.n. The ginger I got in the drydown, spicy peppery, so gooood, but you have to spray liberally! Edit: I got the opoponax, aka incense, but it only showed itself on clothes and again I sprayed quite liberally.) Was driving and thinking why am I smelling incense on my jacket? Jup. The drydown is VANILLA, Orange Blossom, iris, a hint of spicyness from the ginger, a hint of incense and some delicious sweetness of the fruits. I have no idea what Kyphi smells like. 🤷. What matters that it's utterly addictive. This fragrance is very much misunderstood by first impression sniffers, which i get. Get yourself a sample or two, douce yourself incl clothes and get testing. This can stand next to niche orangeblossom fragrances quality and scentwise, imo. Performance on clothes is excellent and doesn't morph into something else, but the ginger and incense does show itself better. The amount used here is chef's kiss. Just adds a bit of interest but is not intrusive at all. The balance here is PERFECT. 10/10 I'm in love 🤩 Also, headscratch. imo....smells nothing like nomade naturelle tmn which i've tested twice on skin. It's way better and more modern then terracotta but still has that same vintage floral vibe in the drydown, like terracotta, which i don't love so that was a pass for me. But i do get why it's loved! Nuit d'Egypte is all about fruity vanillic orangeblossom. Naturelle is about tropical-coconutty banana jasmine. First impression reviews are just that, a first impression and should be taken with a big bag of salt, even more then the already very subjective opinion of someone who owns the fragrance. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Fragrantica should really have a first impression button added. But maybe that's just me?

I have a sample for which I cannot give a great review. I like to appreciate the fragrances well after several uses, but it was a crush at first smell, I am not a fan of Chloé mainly because of the way they treat the note of rose, is not my profile of fragrances but the Nomade line has magic, the hands and excellent nose of Quentin Bisch created the first three of the line and although this one has no point in common with those outside the name, you feel a fragrance of enormous quality although do not propose anything new, the orange blossom in its most enjoyable facet (to my personal taste) with a vanilla far from everything that is currently sold, here there are no excesses of sweet, nor anything lactonic and much less gourmand, this is a oriental vanilla and it cannot be otherwise because of the components that accompany it and give it an exceptional depth and maturity (myrrh, opoconaco and cinnamon) which are not protagonists nor are they felt individually but together with the vanilla with the orange flowers create a very pleasant fragrance and although it has points in common with many other things, it is not similar to anything that is in trend right now, the ginger gives an effusive touch to the dry down and a small touch of cypriol the woody touch but away from the facet of the Oud. Nomade Nuit by Egypt is a fragrance that, although I admit, falls short of what we expected from its name (maybe a little more smoky or balsamic is missing) but it is not on a safe release, I like it because it is well made and who knows how to appreciate a fragrance well achieved, you cannot let it pass.

Absolutely gorgeous spiced yellow floral (at least, for my nose this one starts yellow, then dries to a white floral). This one reminds me of a spicier version of Lancome's Poeme. Nuit is easily a new favorite-- but I'm truly saddened at it's poor longevity, as I want to smell it for hours. Paired with its intimate projection, I find Nuit is undetectable after an hour or so. In spite of these shortcomings, I would actually still recommend this one to someone who's new to spice notes and is interested in exploring them. Considerably a perfect introductory fragrance. Also an exquisite opening. So far, I've only worn this in the evening, but it definitely has a well-rounded profile that is seemingly compatible with every season. I'm also in love with how well this one works in humid weather. It's surprisingly refreshing for all its ginger, myrrh and kyphi. I have to try very hard, but on the dry-down I do get the faintest soapy impression from the citrus. I'm honestly surprised there's vanilla in here-- even as one of the base notes, I wouldn't have guessed it at all with this one. When it is worn, I've had others tell me almost instantly that I smell very good. That said, they had to be right next to me to be able to smell it. If you're looking for a long-lasting bombshell, Nuit will likely not impress you. But if you're into quieter fragrances that aren't overly sweet or spicy, this one is perfection.

This is a beautiful perfume and I immediately got a full bottle after testing it for a few days. It starts with a fresh flush of ginger, hint of cinnamon and then seamlessly melts into a vibrant orange blossom. Closely followed by broom, that has a Jasmin like character. After a few hours of floral delight, Kyphy and Oppoponax appear as a solid pair of lightly smokey duo to complete a beautiful fragrance. I am wearing this scent in searing heat and considering it's an Hommage to Egyptian night, I feel like I'm doing this creation justice. Imho it is a very versatile perfume. Unisex to my nose. Easy to layer. When I needed some oomph at night, I layer it with Divine Vanille by Essential Parfums. This ads more depth with intense Myrre and a smokey vanilla. My coworkers loved it on me (nurse here) and I love the incensey, creamy vanilla at the base with the resinous Kyphy, that gives a special sprinkle on top. To my nose this Flanker has little to nothing to do with the originals. Which I like! In the previous Flankers there was oakmoss, that I detest in most fragrances, because it feels very dated to me. This one here is nothing short of beautiful. Crowd pleasing, yet still memorable at the same time due to Kyphi and Broom. I know some who love the entire line will be disappointed, but everyone who hated the line might love this. Like I do! This is going to be my fall/ winter fragrance for sure.

I just bought Nomade Nuit d’Egypte as a fun thing, a blind purchase and probably didn’t think it was my thing at all. How WRONG was I! <3 It has become my absolute favorite perfume, my signature and the scent in which I could voluntarily drown! I wear it day and night and I can rarely resist an extra shower before going to bed so my first bottle is already gone and I just bought a new one in the largest size. So: What does it smell like? A warm, sensual scent of orange and "tropical" dark vanilla with just the right spicy base note and a hint of muscovado sugar. A grown-up and “sexy” scent, but without being the least bit overt or vulgar, nor the least clingy nor to sweet. It makes me think of hot velvety black nights with tempting subtle sweet floral scents coming in from the open windows. Spanish nights, pirate romance, and Bridgerton heat in an irresistible and tempting mix! <3 The ONLY thing I wish was that the scent didn't evaporate as quickly as I feel it actually does on my skin, that's its only fault! :-/ I'm terrified that it will be removed from the range so I'll probably have to stock up on bottles so that there's enough for my future use! I highly recommend it! <3
