Rosa Damascena

A study in masterful restraint and minimalism. It’s just a rose, only a rose, but oh boy, what a rose. I know dozens of rose scents, but this one is closest to naturalistic, fresh, natural dewy rose fresh from the garden in the crisp morning. Fresh, dewy rose is such an overlooked genre dimmed by its voluptuous cousins spiked with oud or resins, but its simplicity is deceptive. This scent is radiant in generous, joyous, innocent yet powerful way. Only Diptyque’s Eau Rose comes any close. Absolute burst of unpretentious charm and casual grace if you are on a lookout for a rose done with vivid dewiness. Spring morning garden light bottled.

This is a beautiful fresh rose to me. It's very natural, like you smell fresh rose. Quite linear. Rose is all you will ever get. If you love rose, you will adore this. If not, you will find this quite boring. It's dewy, not powdery, no musky, not headache induced, not an old lady rose scent. On me, longevity and sillage are best among the Chloé Atelier des Fleurs line. Rosa Damascena shines best on its own but as well best combination with Magnolia Alba and Hibiscus Abelmoschus, which will make it more interesting. :)

The only rose I want to smell like. Clean, sparkling, effervescent yet with body. Like rose champagne. I feel like such a woman when I wear this. I wear it all year round, by itself in the summer and spring, and layered over a heavier/deeper fragrance in the colder months. Bathe me and bury me in this!

I’ve sampled this a few times and I love it so much. A perfectly true and balanced rose fragrance with adequate longevity and sillage. I love how it just has a single note in the note pyramid above—and I think this is accurate. I don’t sense anything else besides the rose.

Very simple, light and breezy rose. Reminds me on my favorite perfume Elizabethan rose from Penhaligon’s. Quite intimate but it’s love at a first sniff.

I used to love this, but the more I smell this perfume, the more I realize I just like it and actually like or even love Eau Rose EDT by Diptyque more. Both an AI chatbot and two people in a David Jones in their fragrance department made me realize that Eau Rose EDT by Diptyque is a more realistic smelling rose and that this has a tiny bit more woodiness and fruitiness to it. I consider that I own it, since I own so many free samples of it that I have 28-30ml of it in my possession, one being 10 ml and all the others being 3ml each. (Herba Mimosa is the one I bought and love the most. I also have 10ml of Jasminum Sambac in my possession, which I love. I'll also eventually buy a full bottle of this lovely jasmine perfume.)

Very realistic rose offering from chloe. I mean this is really really realistic rose, and its just that. The rose here is very light and airy, but last quite long on my skin and have decent silage. For those who arent rose lovers, this might be boring as it doesnt develop over time, and there is only one note in this. Like the reviewer below commented, this is just rose top, middle and base. However, for a guy with the love of rose like me, this is a real gem! Pure rose in a bottle without any thing done to it - not too cold like la fille de berlin, not too spicy like rose 31, nor too noble and elegant like portrait of a lady. Also find this unisex as well. Good longevity and sillage.

It starts with juicy lychee and smells like light and fresh green rose all the way, the green scent and level of sweetness stays as long as 4 hours and I stopped counting. Very impressive performance. If you like a young, refreshing, innocent but confident rose scent without being too girly and no dirty undertone, this is it!

Rose paradise in a bottle. I'm a Rose girl, so this is lovely scent for me. The Roses in this perfume bottle are very natural, pure, Roses, Roses and only Roses. A gentle and extremely delicate, peaceful scent, it reminds me of Pink Rose gardens swaying in the warm sunlight in the French countryside. Rating: 7.5/10

Simple, but pretty rose. Green, fresh and delicate. Ultra feminine 🌹 A bit overpriced for what it is, but if you are looking for a rose water type of scent and can afford it - go for it :) Mind that it’s a delicate perfume, also in terms of sillage - it sits close to the skin, but longevity is pretty good!

I tried this at Sephora as I was looking to buy a rose perfume. I have not had a deep rose perfume & wanted to get one & after a lot of research narrowed down a few but realised that probably rosé isn’t my favorite note ! Coming to this one, it screams sweet. Its so sweet that I can induce a headache to me. I am okay with floral fragrance but this one was too sweet for my liking. Even after the dry down, it still smelt sweet ! Longetivity and Sillage i am assuming is decent because the small spray lasted for quite some time on my wrist but if u don’t like very sweet fragrances, don’t blind buy this.

I could be wrong bc I haven’t let this dry down longer than ten minutes but I’m soo excited bc to me this smells like caress daily silk body wash and I’ve been searching for a perfume that smells like that for ages. I actually thought Victorias Secret Body by Victoria smelled like the caress. Anyway, I will come back for a ful review.

I smell rose, peony and lychee with this scent. Obviously rose forward but with a dewy element that I associate with peony and definitely a sweet lychee mixed in there!!!! This is what I expected Delina to smell like instead of that pink pepper disaster that it ended up smelling like to me.

My most favourite rose perfume. Pure rose. This is how a real rose garden smells like on a summer day. Perfection. In fact this is the only perfume I could stand during pregnancy. I still wear it almost everyday! Sometimes I mix it with other Chloe perfumes.

I was searching forever for a perfume that would truly mirror the scent of the damask rose I grow in my garden. This is it. Perfection. If only it lasted longer! Longevity is only about 2 hours.

It is a simple and clean rose fragrance that is very feminine. This is something I would wear at special events like an outdoor daytime wedding in a flowy floral dress.

Sometimes you just want something simple and old school and smelling like a rose without other notes. Quite pricey but worth it.
