Vert Soleil

A masterpiece. This is an example of how a fresh elegant uplifting scent should be made. I think Quentin is just stepping up his game.

Omg I loved all 3 in this line.

This is probably the most complex and intriguing fragrance in this collection with the potential to be polarizing as well. It is predominantly green with the mandarin staying strong throughout the fragrance journey. It starts with a rather bitter unripe green citrus coupled with vegetal leaves. This sharp opening slowly juxtaposes with a very sun ripened floral, like blossoms past their prime baking in the hot sun. The mastic adds a somewhat sour balsamic effect that won't be appreciated by everyone. I find that as soon as Im not sure I like it this perfumey floral wafts in and out wooing me back. This is overall a very "garden" style fragrance that smells like the entire bush from dirt to stems, leaves, to flowers with a prominent bitter citrus note. There was so much going on I really had to wear this multiple times to understand it, maybe not my favorite in the collection (definitely not an easy reach) but the most artistic for sure, leans feminine, blind buy not recommended. It may smell like a lush Mediterranean garden but it is a bit cloying in high heat, seems like it would be better suited to spring with its greenness. Definitely reminds you of the olive colored glass the bottle is in.

A delicate green fragrance with floral nuances. Smooth, subtle, and gently enveloping. The first floral accords brought to mind the slightly oily petals of a sunflower, while the juicy green facets evoked the scent of freshly cut young grass. Green mandarin is zesty and fresh. As the fragrance unfolds, it becomes a touch more powdery and softly sweet, while the fresh green character gradually recedes. Longevity on fabric lasts throughout the day, while the sillage is gentler than that of Sous les Pins, remaining more intimate. The flacon, like the entire Mediterranean collection, is a small work of art. A very successful composition—refined, subtle, and beautifully crafted.

It's funny, i get woody notes above all else. Doesn't really strike me as citrus...lucky me, since I'm not a huge fan of those. This is such an uplifting fragrance. Gives a feeling of freshness and freedom.

7.7/10 A bit too herbal on the opening, but the dry down is nice. Definitely a green fragrance. Perfectly unisex.

Love the opening of this - sunny, tart mandarin, a little green. Hate the black pepper/rotten rose dry down. :'(

Musky, tart and a bit sour. Smells like a rhubarb accord. Reminds me Diptyque Lazulio.

The opening of Vert Soleil is fresh, uplifting, bright, with an elegant citrus accord that feels radiant and captures the sunny character the name suggests. Sadly, the drydown takes a turn that doesn't agree with me. The combination of woods and musks develops a slightly paint-like smell on my skin, which distracts from the beauty of the opening. A lovely start, but not a fragrance I enjoy wearing on its own all the way through. Fortunately, I found that layering it with Plage de Figuier, which I also own, completely transforms the experience. The fig notes soften the paint-like aspect of the drydown and add a creamy, natural warmth that blends beautifully with Vert Soleil's citrusy brightness. Together, they create a much more harmonious fragrance that I enjoy far more than either one alone.

The review by EastLeaf (just below) is 100% on the nose for me: "Musky, tart and a bit sour." This one is quite similar on skin and paper for me too (which I appreciate). It's like a synthetic, tart, "sparkling" "fake citrus" feeling (not in the aldehyde way) but in a fizzy soft drink kind of way. The strongest of the four in this series for me. In the reminds me of section - not at all like musk therapy (which is softer, fuzzier and sweeter), and similar "direction" to Tilia (in its scratchy, synthetic nature) but with more unisex notes.

This is way more intense than Sable Lavande and Plage du Figuier from the same line. Although the notes are different, this one strongly reminds me of Bois Imperial by Essential Parfums (also by Quentin Bisch). Especially at a distance, they have similar vibes. This is a fresher, summery relative of Bois Imperial. I think they are well done, and I like the smell of Bois Imperial on others, but it's not for me. So this one is unfortunately not for me either.

On my skin it starts with a strong citrucy burst, and has a strong bulgarian rose in the dry down together with a lot of musk. A bit vintage smelling. The musk is not animalic.

Of course Quentin Bisch would be responsible for the bottle with the lowest dent at the airport stand of Chloe. The two senior French ladies in front of me literally doused themselves in it, so I had to tag along swiftly and sample it. Initially it opens as a joyous green herbal fragrance, but sadly after 30mins it settles into this oily mandarin rind combined with a heady rose (shocked that the rose note is not listed seperately) Despite its popularity, it is not one of Quentin's top creations and it is quite reminiscent of Woman In Gold by Killian. Back to the safety of Cedrus & Cedrus intense for me.

I bought 3 from the new collection and only kept one, Sable Lavande as that was the standout to me. I went back and forth on this one, wore it 3 times before I ultimately decided it wasn’t for me so I returned it. It was a little harsh around the edges for a lack of better words. After the opening went away it smoothed out some but just wasn’t for me. Not bad, just meh. Unisex for sure.

For me, this perfume is calming. It's bright, green and nuanced. Instead of picking up on the notes, I find myself enjoying the drydown throughout the day. This was on my wishlist since it launched, finally bought the 30ml today.

Very luminous, juicy, bright, vibrant, uplifting, optimistic. Citric, a little acidic, but smooth. Smells happy, like a cheerful day in the summertime.

I got rose and musk touches. Am I missing something here? Twin of Rose of No Man's Land.

Best of the bunch for me. The mandarine top note is lovely.
