1000 Miglia Extreme

I love it so much, I was hoping for something along the lines of Bvlgari Black, it's not similar, but equally as unique, that asphalt note is so good, so different. I didn't get much of the lavender, more violet I guess. Longevity is rather good. As you'd expect from Chopard, the packaging is excellent.

Great stuff, the opening is spicy and warm, very different from the original 1000 Miglia , but that DNA is heavily present in the later drydown. This one also has a lot more lavender than the original. I dont think there is any violet at all but the mix of the dense cedarwood + lavender kind of give you that vibe. The cedar reminds me of L’Homme Ultime. The base has a nice, clean leather/suede and a deeper asphalt note - interestingly though the asphalt is deeper in this one, I think its much easier to notice it on the original release since its the stand out note. In this one, as the woods and leather are so much more apparent the asphalt kind of takes a back seat. But it is deeper as it sits closer to those base notes versus straight up at the top like the OG. This is definitely more tuned for fall winter, and it is an excellent and versatile scent. The original is a lot brighter, fresher and more polished and I wear it a lot in spring and even on cooler summer days. Extreme is a bit louder and considerably bolder while still being a mature masculine scent. Chopard brings great quality both in fragrance and in the bottle, same thing is said for the original release. It is discontinued and rare but with some patience it can be found.

Does open with a cold lavender, but readily transitions to a clean cleaning, smooth musky, faint asphalt-woody accord. I do have a cheap freshie bottle, Phat Farm, in which the clean is more accentuated—here it’s not that prominent, rather is the musky-cedar facet that combines with the faint asphalt here that makes the profile in the end. Not really a whole lot of leather if any here. Though just a bit on the higher end for a daily wear, it’s pretty unique that it features an asphalt in the most polite way. What’s not to like about this frag, if you’re a (formal) car junkie?

A great, unique scent that feels like a sports car, all the parts. It does give an asphalt vibe through leather and lavender blended nicely. My only gripe is the base of the sprayer pulls away slightly from the bottle when removing the cap.

Same as the original but with the slightest amount more of suede leather, almost undistinguishable from original. Wonderful scent, just terrible projection. Ok longevity.
