Miel d'Arabie

I say this with utmost affection but this reminds me of a grandmother. I feel like anyone coming from an East African background can relate this scent to grandmothers in my community. I can't deny it's beautifully blended and has a very gentle aura when sprayed but personally I can't help but feel the nostalgia of a grandmother's warm hug. This is the scent I would smell on her shawl. To describe the scent, I get a dry honey that only slightly sweetens the fragrance with the juicy pomegranate in the background. Someone said the black tea accord is slightly astringent, I agree but it's not a harsh astringent. I also get a pleasant smokiness from the tea that carries on throughout the duration of it's wear and in combo with the spice it brings to mind incense, more along the lines of the residual smell left on clothes after natural resins like luban have been burned in the house. The dominant notes in this scent are definitely the tea and spices but I can't help but feel the title given by Chopard was apt; there is a distinct Arabian feel to this fragrance. This scent is very calming and comforting to me because of the memory I associate with this scent; it's my childhood in a bottle. Sillage is intimate and longevity is moderate. I don't know if I'll wear it out personally but I'm debating whether to keep it as a personal scent memory or sell it to someone who will wear it and appreciate the full experience this scent has to offer.

A beautiful perfume. I bought a 50ml at the moment, but I know I will definitely rebuy. The opening I find is quite unpleasant, at least until it warms up to your skin. After 6/7 minutes, it blossoms into something more complex. Though the top note is honey, I don’t find it overbearing or very strong at all. It’s very well supported by the amber and spicy notes. I find it has a hint of patchouli in there. I don’t get the citrus note very much at all, but others do. When I was buying it, it was between this and Killian’s Straight to Heaven. This won out in the end by the price and longevity (Killian’s disappeared on me almost immediately, and developed into a plain, powdery scent. This scent develops into a gorgeous complex mix, and stays that way!) Either way, gorgeous, strong, sophisticated perfume. I can smell it on me even after a shower (which I adore!). The bottle and packaging are also stunning. I think for such a luxurious and well-crafted perfume, this is good value. If you’re looking for a sexy, elegant, complex, not-too-feminine perfume, this is for you! Edit: something has changed in my nose I hate this perfume now with a passion. Actively gives me a headache! There goes my money 😂

Very interesting and special. I was surprised by the opening! The opening almost has this sweet & sour mango fresh zest note that isn't listed along with the honey and pomegranate. There is also a slight green aspect wonderfully materialized by a smooth blend of cypress, spices and tea. The fragrance is surely more complex and magical than i could put into words. Chopard says it's a "tribute to the mythical gardens of the orient adorned with the most fragrant and colourful flowers and fruits" and i have to say that does seem to be well fitting. It develops beautifully, the dry down is like a polished pearl. This gem was released in 2018 and yet nobody is talking about it. I feel like i found hidden treasure. Now for the presentation : It comes in a luxurious deep green glass bottle and heavy gold detailed cap that "echoes Chopard's high-jewellery creations". Inside the box the bottle is placed in a green suede pouch along side a thoughtful collectors booklet with more info and images to further the experience. Overall A+ from me. Classic optimistic elegance.

Wow I'm in love with this perfume. I am testing it out before a full bottle but it's definitely worthy. I usually don't care for honey scents bcuz of their instringent qualities, but for miel d'arabie it does not bother me at all. The honey is so smooth and blends perfectly with pomegrenate and spices. For me I cannot sense the tea note. The scent is fresh, delicately sweet and has an air of mystical majesty that lingers a long time. It is not potent but has beautifully encasing aroma. For me this is a summer smell, when sun is high and I want to cool off with juice of fruits dipped in golden honey.

Totally disagree with the previous comment that this scent smells like a grandmother. It doesn't even smell mature like that. It's more like sipping sweet tea in the middle of a garden outside. Sorry, I just thought that was ridiculous and kind of rude. Scent memories are one thing, but don't go making the scent seem like it's made for a 65 + crowd, because I happen to love it. Honestly, anyone's grandmother can get any fragrance they want, they've earned it. Plus I'm sure they wouldn't want anyone referencing what works for them!

Thick sweet-ambery pomegranate juice, spices are definitely taking over the juicy part. I get something like walnuts too?! The tea is like black tea, slightly astringent. There is this almost sweet tobbacco feel to it. This really reminds me of something else that I can't quite put my finger on, perhaps Spicebomb infrared? Not sure...It seems to me there is a lot more going on than the pyramid suggests. Very, very pleasant and complex scent, warm, inviting...good sillage and longevity. Completely unisex.

There you are! This is the third time I wear Miel d’Arabie. The first two times I smelled nothing but fir trees. But the third time is the charm, as they say. I smell pomegranates and raw honey. Not processed-sweet-honey-on-bread, but right-from-the-honeycomb honey with an almost resin-like quality. It’s stunning and unusual!

Mesmerising from the bottle, not so discernible on my skin. For 275 € i would expect a better sillage and projection.

First of all, Gardens Of Paradise collection is far more superior than 'standard' Chopard fragrances like Wish, Love, Iris Malika etc. However, it is as expensive as high-quality niche perfumes and I'm not sure that worth the money at the end of the day. In Poland standard price is around 250 EUR for 100 ml; from time to time you can get it at a discount for about 100-130 EUR and the discounted price is reasonable for what you get. I've been testing Miel d'Arabie for a few weeks (in cold weather) and agree with most of the below reviews - I can imagine how this fragrance can vary on different skins and in different conditions, fluctuating between pomegranate and apple, honey and spices, incense and woods. I don't get much of tea, it is lost or blended in some more prominent notes. Pomegranate comes and goes for me - sometimes I have a feeling I can detect it and then it goes away. It is definitely in oriental compartment, but very wearable. It is not sharp at all - no pink pepper, cardamon or clove - which makes it more creamy and a bit of gourmand, leaning towards autumn-winter scents. On the other hand, it doesn't turn into a woody-vanilla creme or too much of a Christmas scent. It sits somewhere in the middle and it makes it very versatile. Miel d'Arabie is an interesting option for anyone who likes gourmand type of fragrance but is fed up with linear, yummr, vanilla gourmands or who wants mild introduction to oriental perfumes. I've had 3 of the Gardens Of Paradise fragrances - Rose Seljuke, Miel d'Arabie and Orange Mauresque. If you're looking for a comparison, here it is: Rose Seljuke is - no surprise here - prominent on rose and woods and the sharpest of these three. Potentially the most fresh, feminine, romantic in the drydown. Miel d'Arabie shares a similar background but creamy spices and honey take place of the rose. Orange Mauresque is the creamiest of all - the opening is a blast of incense and sharpness but then it quickly sets on the skin as rather intimate, amber-vanilla scent. If you're looking for a good longevity/sillage, then Rose Seljuke is a winner here. However, all of them have good performance, with Orange Mauresque being more of a skin scent quickly. Somehow all of them are similar in their nature and very likeable. I'm not a fan of oriental scents and they are very wearable to me, even safe for office if you don't overspray. Probably safe blind buys for a lot of people, but I'd sample them first, being conscious of the price tag. Orange Mauresque is the safest of them - just don't be scared after you spray it. All of them are leaning feminine to me or at least are absolutely OK to wear by a woman.

Anyone else getting portrait of a lady here? I'm getting roses! Madness. This is gorgeous. I love POAL, and this is deep and resinous in a similar way. Lots of something that feels like papyrus to me. Woodsy and a bit dry, alongside the sweetness of the honey. Interesting juxtaposition. Ok just sprayed some poal in the crease of my elbow. Not the same of course, but I can see why I was reminded. It's a touch smokey, and I guess that pomegranate gives that tartness that I felt was similar. But now comparing of course it's not. However I will say they both have a certain wow factor, rich, deep, but also feminine. Lots of spice honey and tea on the drydown.

This is a high-quality perfume. I sprayed my wrist and in the car hours later my partner said it smells very nice. I didn’t even tell him I sprayed perfume. He really liked it. It’s honeyed pomegranate and incense to my nose. Tea must be lost in there somewhere. This is not my preferred scent profile as I like very feminine white-pink-purple florals. But this is nice for colder evenings and nights, at least for me, as it feels heavy and dense. It’s a substantial sweet incense smoky perfume with a lot of pomegranate.

This is very happy fragrance. You smell it and get into the careless childish mood straight away. Yes it is honey, spices, tea. Pomegranate gives a bit of juiciness (thanks God no cat pee here). Longevity and projection are poor, so do not expect too much. As a masterpiece price can be justified, but taking into account longevity and projection I decided to buy on sale. I am a female and do not find it is masculine, I think it is gender neutral and I am very happy to wear it as a female.

Interesting scent, high quality it's like you have a spiced pomgrenate tea sweetened with honey! Not bad, although i think it's not a blind buy, it might not be your cup of tea. Completly unisex, although i would layer this one with some spiced masculine scent (i'm a men)! Performance.....well just medium 4-6 hours! This is something else! PS: someone said something about his/hers grandmother.....well this might also be true, like a fashionista granny (Jane Fonda's type! Regards

Enjoying this unique thing, love tea scents and this is basically honey sweet black tea with a non-synthetic smelling tropical fruit accord. Good as a relaxing scent, it's warming and the fruit isn't punchy it's blended in very smoothly. Longevity isn't bad but it is (price aside) the one thing I would knock it for, I get about 4 hours of decent projection out of it, but it's a very nice 4 hours.

To me, this smells juicy, fruity and sweet but it also has something really strong and memorable about it. I mostly get the pomegranate and honey. It's certainly really unique and I can't quite compare it to anything I've smelled before. It's DIVINE and I absolutely love it! I'm very happy I got it on a big sale, because the price is very high. (but it's justified, I'd say. it smells luxurious)

On me I get a spiced tea more than the honey or pomegranate. It's quite nice but I'd hoped for a little bit more honey. Glad I didn't pay full retail.

نُت ها و آکورد ها رو که دیدم،خیلی ذوق زده بودم برای تست اش و انتظار یک عطر فوق العاده رو داشتم و موریلاس هم یه عامل دیگه برای بالا رفتن انتظارات ام بود اما در عمل همه چیز فرق کرد و یه حال‌گیری اساسی بود این عطر از همه نظر عجیبه به محض اسپری یک رایحه‌ی کاملا مصنوعی و پلاستیکی به مشام می رسه که اصلا معلوم نیست حاصل چه ترکیباتیه کمی بعد یک سری روایح ادویه ای سر و کله شون پیدا میشه که اون هم قابل تشخیص نیست که چه چیزایی توشون به کار رفته و حس خوبی بهم نداد انار؛نه اینجا چیزی شبیه انار نیست و حتی با عِلم به این که این نُت توی عطر حضور داره هم نمیشه چیزی رو ازش بیرون کشید و بهش نسبت داد عسل؛نه خبری از اون فضای شیرین و چسبناک عسل هست و نه وجه انیمالیک داره.نه خوشمزه است و نه موم مانند چای؛من چای هم ازش نگرفتم و فضای سبز و تازه ای از چای رو حس نکردم در کل یه عطر کاملا مصنوعی و پلاستیکی هست که فقط می‌تونه با قرار گرفتن توی پرایوت لاین و تبلیغات با این قیمت فروش بره وگرنه همین عطر رو اگر لطافه یا آرماف تولید می‌کردند و با قیمت 3 تومن می‌خواستند بفروشند کسی نمی‌خرید یا نهایتا با قیمت 20 دلار نه توی شروع زیباست و نه در پایان ولی اواخر عمر عطر کمی قابل تحمل میشه؛اون حالت پلاستیکی کم رنگ میشه و تم ماسکی_چوبی پیدا می کنه -تست شده از نسخه‌ی 2022- *************** scent:5/10 longevity:8.5/10 sillage:8/10 purchase value:1/10 ********* overall:5.6/10

Fruitti honey spices... Pomegranate spices with more fruits and spices alongside a hidden amber! Had high hopes for this when i first sprayed it on, but Meh.

I thought I’d love this based on the notes, and I smell them all equally, spices, pomegranate, tea and honey, but somehow this didn’t work for me, and it’s probably the worst thing I’ve ever smelt. The combination smells sour, old, dusty, and really stale, like urine or an old attic. It lasts forever though; I did one spray on my wrist and I couldn’t scrub it off my skin, and it lasted through a wash on my sleeve. Thankfully everyone’s noses are different and most people seem to love this! It’s just definitely not for me unfortunately.

Blind bought as was so intrigued by the notes as I love tea and honey notes in perfumes and there was no where near me or online that i could find would send samples to canada. I need to play with this more before settling on a numeric rating, but this reminds me a lot of amouage Epic Woman (which also has tea and spices in it), though not as layered and somewhat more linear at first experience. It comes across as quite arabic with a lot of incense as someone else mentioned, moreso that I was anticipating given the tea and fruity notes. The tea and honey are not all too prominent (unfortunately for me) BUT it does provide a nice, somewhat effervescent spin towards the tail end of the sniff... if that makes sense. Which is super interesting because normally if that type of effect is present, it's present moreso in the opening. Opening is not my favourite, but the dry down is where it starts to get interesting and less pungent and in your face. The layers I think start to appear... will update in a few weeks when Ive had more time to play with it. Opened in the middle of winter which i think is the right season for this.

Honey here is not syrupy - it’s a bit pollen-like, but not as much as in Bee by Zoologist and it peeks through, more and more in the drydown. It does remind me of Miksado by Jeroboam, which is more rounded and musky and of Fille en Aiguilles by SL, which is more coniferous and boozy, but all of them share the same spicy dry tea woodsy feel. It’s unisex and although I like it I don’t feel compelled to own a full bottle - my mini would do. A tea accord comes up in Aigile (another one from the line), which is featuring marine notes and ginger (the kind of ginger I like).

Alberto know how to do a green scent, this actually smells like the color of the bottle, something about it reminds me of my childhood in the 1970s, like a part of it is a perfume my mother wore in the disco days but or maybe a candle I smelt during Christmas time in the 70s, it’s very different original and beautiful it’s interesting in a pleasant way it’s classy I wouldn’t say elegant because it has a personality that goes out of the box I love this

🤨Arabic honey🧐 I was really looking forward to this one... but all I get is spices, spices and more spices followed by tea😐 Where is the honey and pomegranate? Gorgeous bottle and beautiful packaging. I don't find this fragrance to be unisex, women may like it, but it's a very masculine scent. I may try layering with something else, or I may just gift it to my beau.

Huh. Not for me, but still nice. Definitely smells like pomegranate tea with some soft dusty spice in the base. I smell incense and patchouli, so I’d add those for sure. Nice, but a hint of dog shampoo, which is usually freesia or some cheap flower note. Not sure where that is coming from. Not offensive but not loveable on my chemistry.

This is so delicious! sweet, fruity and herbal. The honey and spicy tea are the most intense notes on my skin, the fir and pomegranate notes come and go like nice adornments, the drydown is very cozy and warm, like a beautiful spicy amber scent. I need many bottles of this. This is a gorgeous scent!

Honeyed fruits and soft, citrusy incense. The pomegranate reads more as apple to my nose, so the mental image here is a wealthier (but not necessarily more sophisticated) cousin of Hermès Un Jardin sur le Toit, who has just been back from holidays, spotting a tan and a mysterious change in accent.

I really loved my sample of this. Realistic, sticky pomegranate and fresh black tea. It’s a bit too sweet for me but would do well in a date night with just drinks- I couldn’t eat with this on because the projection off my arm was so powerful after 4+ hours.

Initial impressions: very well blended, bright and fruity scent. Tropical smelling, not quite sure if I get pomegranate however. High quality and smooth but expensive!

I can hear the Assam tea with lots of spices on Turkish bazaar. Freshly dried spices and apples. Very comforting.
