Great Root, Green Ruth

Sprayed this on one of those crispy cool early spring mornings. The opening bursts with spring vibes - geranium and rose stand out immediately. It leans floral at first, but it's more like a florist tidying up after assembling a bouquet. It's leaves and stems swept into the compost bin, not freshly bloomed flowers. As it settles, it turns more leathery and slightly earthy, as if the florist closed up shop and headed home in a worn leather jacket. By the end of the day, this had started to smell a little too sweet to me. I'd even say a tiny bit cloying. But - this leather jacket in a flower shop feels so green, earthy and spring that I'll live with it (at least for this season).

It's a YES for me. It's a vegetable-sweet-floral green thing that I didn't know I would love. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. Oh my! Listen, I found their website, and for an absolutely ridiculous price, they sell a long-sleeve tee that goes with each fragrance in this line. They were a must-have for me... I'm just built differently.
