Dreamz Woman

I recently bought a series of Chris Adams minis for $5 each: Dreamz Woman, Active Woman, Devotion and Signature Woman. You must be a white floral lover to appreciate this perfume. It could be blended a bit better, but I absolutely don't get any "barnyard" smell that was mentioned in the previous review. Surely they got a bottle that went off. I don't even detect very much of the patchouli that is listed in the perfume pyramid. It's all flowers. The opening is a tad strident with potent jasmine and a wisp of honey. Later it softens to a fresh clean, feminine scent that would work wonderfully in the spring or summer and could be worn to the office. I would recommend spraying half an hour before leaving the house to allow the scent to calm down a bit. I don't think I would spring for a full bottle of this, but to keep a mini in my purse to freshen up on a hot day would suit me just fine.

Ok scent. I get honey and floral notes. Moderate Longevity and Sillage. I blind bought this and will keep it, nothing groundbreaking. It’s an affordable scent.

I was looking for a good honey scent and ran across this one here, another that I'd never heard of. I found a bottle on ebay (the only place that had it) for right around $20, so I risked the blind buy. (Honesty, I think I may be addicted to the thrill and the risk of it all... it's a sickness. I might need to seek out a Blind Buyers support group.) Anyhoo, it wasn't my worst blind buy ever (you know who you are) but I can't really call it a success either. The first sniff was downright offensive, all sharp synthetic florals immediately followed by a distinct barnyard smell. Not musky, not animalic, not that civet-y smell. Just an actual dirty barnyard note that immediately transported me back to my elementary school field trips to a local farm. We were allowed to feed the goats that lived in a small enclosure with their friends: two elderly chickens and a lame donkey. They were adorable, but they also reeked of manure, mud, wet straw, and dirty hides. I was going to scrub it off--and write it off--straight away, but I forced myself to endure it while I waited for the reported honey and raspberry to show up. Honestly, I don't think they're in there. The offensive petting-zoo reek does subside, but what it leaves behind is a dry, generic green/white floral that smells cheap even for this price. Sillage is big at first, but dies down right along with the goat 'n donkey smell. After an hour the whole thing is all but gone, and I'm not even mad about it. The disappearing act is almost a relief, like I can get back to wearing real perfumes now. Bottom line , it's affordable and mostly tolerable once the initial funk dies down. But there are scents out there in the same price range that smell much better and last longer. This is just not something I see myself reaching for as long as there are other options in my wardrobe. I think this one is destined for the yard sale.
