Lost in Paradise

Nice smelling sun tan lotion . But I'm saying that in the best way . I do wish that it has a stronger coconut note. It would have smoothed out and toned down the lotion smell. You get a ton of ylang ylang when first sprayed. You get very feint hints of the coconut water but when the mid notes come in it's just about gone . Light peach then the bit of bamboo come in. Once the base notes come out the only other note you get is the ylang ylang . All of the base notes are noticable with the salt slowly getting stronger and stronger over the first 2 hours . But it all gives a very beach lotion vibe. I love it. Everything is very balanced that the sweetness is kept at bay which I really liked . I don't think it's that sweet . In the accords i would have put that 4th . Performance is not bad at all. I had this on one arm and Prada Luna Rossa edt which I think projects pretty well on the other . For the first 90 minutes this overpowered it. They were then pretty similar untill this really died down at about 4 hours. It won't last that long but the time that it's on its pretty good, so I can live with that . My biggest issue is that I wish it had more of the coconut water. Or even something semisweet added to the mid or base. Maybe a condense milk or a pineapple cream. For the price the bottle isn't the greatest. Atomizer is average. Is it worth the price ? Yes it smells good, yes it's well put together, yes you can smell the quality. But for me it's not. It doesn't have that one wow thing about it to make me want to pay $175 + tax. There are three fragrances in Chris Collins' Anima collection, two being daytime fragrances. Citrus Grandis and Lost in Paradise are the two daytime fragrances, and the latter is by far the better of the two. Upon my first spray on a tester, I got an overwhelming sunscreen scent, very much like a Coppertone brand, which is most likely due to the coconut top note. However, when I sprayed it on my skin and clothing and let it develop, you get so much more. It evolves and you discover the sea notes, as well as the ylang-ylang and peach notes. There's a captivating quality about it that's hard to describe. When you think you've identified it, it changes into something else. Spray this on and then walk outside and let it mix with open air; you'll see what I mean. It's definitely a fragrance that gets better over time, versus loving it at first spray. I will definitely be getting a full bottle of it for next summer.

This is absolutely incredible stuff! The most gorgeous tropical scent, so lush and dense, yet delicately feminine. There's always something physically jarring to my nose in 95% of fragrances, especially in the dry down, even in those that are supposed to be soft-smelling, but not in this one. I could breathe on it all day long! So if you, like me, aren't friends with patchouli and certain types of sandalwood and cedar, give this one a try.

Lost in Paradise has me mentally packed for Hawaii already. 🌺✨ Warm, escapist, sun-soaked in the best way. I started with a test and immediately understood the hype, this one is absolutely full-bottle worthy. The dry down is starting to come through now, so we’ll see where the journey goes from here. 🌊 The dry down is even giving me hints of Le Labo Neroli 36 vibes, radiant, airy, and sun-warmed on skin.

This is amazing on a woman. I bought this for my wife. It smells like a beautiful beach but not Florida. More like the Bahamas or Hawaii. Very tropical scent, it literally transports you to memories you have being on a beach. No man will EVER say this smells bad. It’s a 20/10 for me. The rest of the line is very underwhelming but this one he knocked out the park.

The notes listed confuse me, but I get a coconutty, aquatic-y, bamboo. Out of the discovery set I have received, all of the Chris Collins fragrances are top-tier. This is a great daytime fragrance, but it can take you into the night. UPDATE: The listed notes have been corrected.

I’m just discovering this line and love this one so far. For me it’s similar to Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, but more masculine. This will most definitely be my go to summer frag. Tropical sweet with a bit of darkness. Very nice tropical vibes.

I have a lot of fragrances. Out of all of my fragrances, this one gets me the most compliments. It is straight up summer-in-a-bottle. And you can guarantee this fragrance lasts ALL DAY on skin and clothes.

Why does it say Coffee as the top accord and it’s not in the notes?! This perfume is so beautiful and I was not expecting that at all. I’m definitely getting a bottle come Springtime.

Talk about strangely satisfying and addictive..I can’t say this was an immediate like, it definitely wasn't. It was more of curious intrigue and one that truly surprised me. Was this Hibiscus Palm on steroids? Kind of. Yet its notes and accords are far more photorealistic and pronounced. This smells like being wrapped in the cleanest smelling beach towel, while the ocean’s mist hits your face and the droplets mix with the very luxurious suntan lotion you’ve just applied. It’s like holding a seashell to your ear and hearing the ocean. That’s what this fragrance does for me. Very visceral.. a tangible feeling of salt and sea, bright yellow ylang ylang and something slightly carnal like that of glistening sweat on a suntanned body. Makes me want to be Lost in Paradise..and never found.

I enjoy this scent, but I don't love it because although all of the elements hypothetically are right up my alley, there's something about it that is reads waxy or powdery on my skin. It almost smells like an orris backbone on me. That said, if I could remove that single element, it's a very beautiful scent. It's present in a way that a lot of similar beachy, marine, sunscreeny scents are not, and has a bit of heaviness to it because of that presence. And I do still reach for it on occasion -- mostly as an evening layer over a daytime fragrence (like Sydney Rock Pool) as I find it adds a more sultry edge while remaining decidedly summery.

The ylang ylang is really strong and I like the note but it’s allllmost too much. Gives a bit of a “tropical bathroom air freshener” vibe, but once it settles its a very pretty salty beach air perfume. Likely one you do not want to overspray! Moderate sillage and longevity, nice but a bit too heavy for a beach smell for me, so I will stick with beach walk.

This fragrance immediately takes me to a tropical paradise when I smell it. It's bright, fruity, and floral, with a woody musky backbone. I don't even care that it smells incredibly feminine, I'll wear it anyway just because of how good this is.

This is giving me ethnic sunscreen. Very high end smelling and a little addictive, unfortunately as a white dude I’ll have to pass. If you’re a dark queen or light skin definitely get your nose on this.

Okay, I have to re-write/edit my initial review. I jumped the gun too soon. This one starts out really "coconut/sunscree", but does dry down more even and into a nice "tropical fragrance".

I’ve always had a problem getting these marine scents to project and last, but THIS ONE does the trick. Also great for layering and elevating any other summery frags!

This reminds me of B&BW Tropidelic. It is a bit deeper, but still evokes that same tropical rainforest feel. This isn't sitting on the beach having a cocktail. Like Tropidelic, this is deeper, but the Ylang Ylang isn't as much of a punch as it was in Tropidelic. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely still there but doesn't seem as bright. I guess you could say this is more sophisticated version. There is something that is making me not like it as much but it could also be the season/weather. It is getting much colder now and I got Tropidelic in spring weather where the temperatures were getting warmer.

First impression: “nothing special”. I actually expected ylang and coconut soaked in the sea, but received soapy powdery sweet lily-of-the-valley. After a while I definitely started to feel coconut and marine notes, mixed with very sharp white flowers. So strong and flat that it can be offensive to those in close proximity such as elevator or small spaces. So I used to wear this perfume when I go to the beach. And it lasted even after two hours of swimming. I believe that this is only way to wear this perfume safely and reasonable.

There’s things I like about this perfume. The marine notes; the fresh coconut; the ylang ylang that is the prettiest and least over-bearing version of itself. But its harsh musks give Lost in Paradise such a screeching, synthetic and head ache inducing vibe that the wonderful parts can’t manage to overcome. Unfortunately. With a gentler musk base I think I could have absolutely loved this.

I find the scent to be lovely in theory but the musk here stuffs the whole scent up, and for me personally makes it headache inducing. If the musks were toned down two levels this scent would be perfectly beachy in a simplistic way

Smells strongly of sunblock or tanning lotion and I cannot unsmell it. The white florals are strong off my skin. Perfect for spring/summer as its not offensive, just strange.

Immediately picked up the floral notes. As it dries down a little I pick up a hint of peach with big time musky, salty ocean with a bit of woodiness.

This scent immediately reminded me of Hibiscus Palm first and Soliel Blanc second, and then Rio Radiance by SDJ. The notes are very similar but I’d say all three fragrances remain distinct from the other. The floral opening is strong and the saltiness is apparent right away, and increases its intensity as it dries down. I feel like this scent is a combo of hibiscus Palm and Skylar Salt air. It’s that same molecular saltiness, which I dislike. This particular note just isn’t for me, and especially when it’s this prominent. Hibiscus Palm is just a softer more feminine fragrance imo. More elevated and more well blended. I don’t pick up any peach at all. LiP dries down very playdoh-ey. I can see how some would like this but it’s just not for me. The saltiness is just too much. For me this type of fragrance I literally want to wear on the beach. Not out to dinner after the beach. Literally lying on a lounger or beach towel baking in the sun kind of scent. For that reason and bc I just like it better I say save your money and get the Rio Radiance. You can slather yourself in a multitude of products from that line. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body butter, body spray, SUNSCREEN even. Go with the Rio.

I find this to be an awkwardly composed scent, this doesn't smell like paradise to me, it doesn't smell like a lovely beach vacation on a private island. It smells more like you have been washed ashore on a tropical island and it's nighttime now and you are scared and cold and covered in sand.

If Replica's Beach Walk is a walk along a sunny shoreline, this is the same walk but at sunset: a little more driftwood has washed up on the beach, the sun is going down and the air is a bit cooler, carrying the scent of the water and salty, sunscreened skin. I think the "coldness" some people get is just the lack of solar notes with the prominence of the driftwood, but this still smells seaside and vacation-y to me, just in a different vein than Beach Walk or Sun Goddess or Solaris by Penhaligon that's dripping with sunshine. There's also a little bit of chalkiness which I guess is the peach skin? I don't detect any coffee whatsoever. This is a fairly linear scent where all the notes appear quickly so if you like the first impression, you'll like it throughout the experience, which is good, because that chalky coconut really lingers.

I initially wrote this off as just another “sunscreen scent”. It’s a bit more complex than that. The ylang ylang floral is most definitely there. The salt and the coconut are there. And the woody/driftwood base is there. It’s a big perfume the first hour or so. A lot going on and VERY present. The fruity peach comes in and starts to soften the slight harshness of the opening about 45 minutes in and the bamboo brings a green clarity to the scene. The musk just brings a gentle fuzziness for me. If you are into these kinds of perfumes (salty, beachy and sunscreen adjacent...check it out) Firmly unisex...maybe a teensy bit more feminine leaning with the strong floral opening. This is soooo much prettier midway through its drydown for me. A lot hitting all at once in the first hour or so. I do love the salt factor in this one though!

Robust fragrance that is more floral in the onset; Pink saffron, passion fruit, coffee bean, frankincense, centifolia rose pink peony oud, crisp amber, & vanilla bean. Lost in Paradise is a more pink peony and fruit fragrance than oud and ambery, and much different than the previous sample tested. I think this one is more unisex, even feminine than the other in the Discovery set. Not as floral or Rose heavy as VideCorMeum or Harlem Nights, although rose is a part of the note pyramid. Great performance as I put some on this morning after leaving for the office, and the cloud bubble seems to close and not overbearing. A pretty likeable scent.

completely ignoring the accords listed bcuz this is certainly NOT a coffee scent, lol fragrantica is glitching... but anyway, lost in paradise starts off super fresh, a bit salty, with a creamy coconut suncreen heart. there's a green aspect from the bamboo that makes me think verbena, and then you get some lime and a tropical white floral aspect- maybe frangipani? if this makes any sense, it's similar to strangers chokedee without the nutty rice aspect- instead replaced with more of a fresh coconut water and bamboo throughline. the perfect summer vaycay scent!

It opens with fresh coconut water, island flowers, and sunlight—bright, casual, and effortless, a salty ocean breeze, crisp 100 count Egyptian cotton, solitude and serenity. Wearing it is like reading a guilty, trashy paperback romance novel on the private beach at your second home while waiting for a call from your bank to confirm the transfer of your Swiss accounts. Complexity: 3/5 Sillage: 5/5 Longevity: 4/5 Notes: 🌊🌴🌺☀️

I have a sample and this is a scrubber for me. I find the ylang-ylang so strong-harsh-off putting and over shadows the other notes. I normally like ylang-ylang. This is my initial reaction and the drydown is better but still a no from me. The drydown turns into a mediocre salty beach scent with poor performance. I hate being negative but I would advise a sample first. Got mine at Luckyscent.

Fragrantica has the wrong perfume named, or the wrong notes listed, take your pick. The notes they have listed actually match one of his OTHER new fragrances Long Kiss Goodnight. Sometimes tropical perfumes which have some sort of blend of ylang ylang, tiare and salty, marine notes end up smelling like latex balloons and orange juice. This is one of those perfumes.

I don’t get beach walk or hibiscus palm AT ALL. Or really anything beachy. I get Macy’s makeup counter mixed with hairspray.

This smells nothing like coffee...nor is coffee a listed note?
