Echoes of Silence

• A very unique niche "freshie". • Many "classic greens" don't smell green at all. They are lavender bombs with macho spices in a green bottle with a pine tree on it. One of the great paradoxes of perfumery. • This fragrance is actually green. Citrus juices on a garden salad. Pineward Perfume, who specialize in natural pine/fir fragrances, have nailed "high altitude green". This fragrance nails the more agricultural "valley green". • Citric, vegetal, tart. Fresh, but not in a designer/teenager way. • I went through a bottle! Very rare for me as I own 100+ fragrances. I'm not sure if I'll re-purchase, but at the very least I'll leave a very positive review.

This is not a woody citrus scent, its a green scent. Green green green. VERY green, but done beautifully. Instant blast of fresh mint which tones down into the most gorgeous photorealistic citronella. It reminds me of going to my best friends house when I was a kid, her mum had citronella in her porch which gave the most amazing smell when you brushed past it on your way into the house, or if you crushed a leaf between your fingers, your hands smelled all verdant and lemony. I'm very glad I bought this to wear in Spring and it will work really well in Summer too. It's very refreshing. Longevity and silage are both strong. A complete love from me!

Very interesting fragrance! I love it for it’s uniqueness and drydown. It is truly vegetal and this is the first time I have actually understood the meaning of the word ”vegetal” in perfumery. This is it right here. I think the artichoke note might be giving this effect. In the drydown there is a slight smokiness from Palo Santo and I get little whiffs of something reminding of patchouli although it is not listed. Unusual notes, unusual perfume. But I am hooked!

Bought a small sample of this. It smells pleasant like the lemongrass mosquito repellant spray you can get in Thailand, but softer and more sophisticated. There's a bitterness somewhere in there that is nice. I'm glad I got to try it and to have the sample to use during the summer. But because it reminded me too much of the lemongrass mosquito spray I don't think I'll be picking up a full bottle.

It smells like a cleaning product without the harsh chemical smell, or like a fresh, clean laundry smell with a little too much lemon. That sounds like a bad thing, but it kind of is and kind of isn't. You can't shake the cleaning product vibe, but there's also something comforting and addictive about it. It does smell nice and even with the cleaning associations I think I like it. It is better as it dries than in the opening - the opening isn't harsh or strong or bad, but it does have that cleaning product vibe that can't be ignored and is very green and aromatic in the opening - but as it dries it starts to feel like a clean, fresh and light citrus-floral fragrance that won't reach out and grab attention, but it will be noticed and shouldn't offend. I'm a guy and I'd class this as unisex, leaning feminine if I had to push it one way or the other, and it is a year-round daytime fragrance. Work-safe, but more "working around strangers" than "casually working with friends and colleagues" if that makes sense. EDIT: On my second full wearing and the turmeric is really showing up and not going anywhere - not good. This has gone from ‘OK’ and a pretty safe wear to ‘Dislike’
