Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers for Her

I tested this at the store for the first time yesterday, and although my nose might have been a little effected by the other smells I was sampling (lol!) :) What I could predominately smell were fruits... i.e. watermelon. (I asked another shopper in case I wasn't smelling it right, and she also thought it smelled like watermelon.) Very summer! :) Juicy and light. So I think it's really interesting that it's not a note listed here? Perhaps some of the fruits mixed with apple/ apple blossom makes it smell like watermelon? It reminded me of being young and getting watermelon candy at summer camp or some fruity Victoria's Secret bath and body spray. Mmm so delicious! It is almost sweet and nostalgic enough to remind you of candy! But interestingly enough not cloying at all. I can't wait to go back and test it again! :D I think I might have to get one of the tiny bottles of it. I am excited that it is one of the few fragrances that you can buy a mini of! 15 bucks! You can't go wrong with that! ;) Love it! :) <3 <3 <3 It seems like a very feminine and flirty scent. Definitely perfect for spring and summer. I do sense some florals but they are very soft and not overpowering. The sweet is light and a pleasure not cloying or icky at all. And the base notes are also almost not noticeable but enough to balance it out nicely. This is a beautiful scent! It is hard to buy a fruity one that isn't too strong in any direction (cloying, too tart, too sweet, too floral, too something..) This is a pleasure. Very young and happy. But also not 12. Girly-girls, you will love this one! :D

This is harder to find now so it must be discontinued. If you want to know what it's like, just buy SJP NYC (edp), as it's EXACTLY the same, yet stronger. Out of all the fragrance comparisons I've made, Hearts & Daggers and NYC are the most similar the whole way through. Only difference besides the stronger opening in NYC is that H&D has a subtle creamier drydown (making it like a delicious strawberry and cream scent) but by that point it's already a skin scent, so unless you want to keep sniffing your skin, you won't actually get it at all. This was well worth a try, but I am SO glad I have NYC and that it's also one of the most affordable fragrances out there. If you don't know NYC, this Hearts and Daggers is basically an apple-fresh fruity scent, and even a bit shampoo-like. It becomes very soft and slightly creamy after an hour. Nothing but a soft sweet skin scent after about 3 hours, barely detectable. Inoffensive and would be work safe if not oversprayed. Originally, I wanted to see how this compared to the women's Ed Hardy EDP, and they're not similar at all. Even the mango note doesn't make them similar. I'd say overall, H&D is my favourite of the two. EH gets muskier and more smoky from the tonka bean, but has more lasting power because of this (on clothes, that is). But still, both are good for fruity lovers who like a bit of fresh citrus too. Neither are overly sweet.

Great summer sunshine type, sweet, fresh fruity but not syrupy. A very happy, ubiquitous scent which is fabulous for running errands! Ok so I realized that this is maybe the most common fragrance scent I smell on people in my city. Why? I don’t know. On first sniff it wasn’t boring at all, just very familiar. Like when someone walks in and you think “where do I know you from?” But I like it. Bright, sweet, and juicy. I find that this lasts all day when it rubs off on your clothes. I know I won’t be wearing something that offends, but I’ll enjoy it too. It’s just a casual crowd pleaser. It’s not a beast. Lasts through a work shift, then fades off so I can wear something else when I have me time. I love the fuscia bottle. It’s fun and doesn’t take itself too seriously. PS: there is a great shampoo and conditioner that smells very similar called Kenra “sugar beach” sweet soft texture. It is an amaaaazzzzing combo with this fragrance for a layered effect!

This was/is my signature scent! It's fruity but not at all like Escada fruity. This perfume is a tropical fruity floral done right! Escada sometimes has a sourness to their fruit notes and can sometimes smell too sweet or like a fruit bowl. THIS is the perfect blend of fruit, musk and sweetness. It's young, fun and sexy. Age range 16-30. I smell grenadine (Shirley temple cherry) along with the other notes, even though it's not listed. Its just perfect to me and I'm surprised it's Ed Hardy! I don't like any other of his scents except this one. This perfume works really well with my chemistry I guess. My ex boyfriend was obsessed with this scent and said he'll never forget it. I love it and have bought 3 bottles of it so far which is a first for me. As much as I love it I am growing up so I must give it up as my signature scent,which makes me sad, but I will always wear it from time to time and keep a bottle stashed away.

LOVE this one!!! Soooo fruity and yummy! This so far is my favorite from the Ed Hardy line, to be honest it smells like a shampoo I love....so basically my wrist smells like yummy shampoo, fruity, a tad floral, a bit of vanilla, just yummy! Wallymart has small bottles of most of the Ed Hardy line (missing Villian, but that's very new) and I've been scooping them up, this one is going to be used much more than the others which I liked at first but then didn't like so much after a few days (plus the husband didn't really like them). They are keepers though because I love tiny bottles and the bottles are very well decorated and cute. This one seems to last a bit longer than the other Ed Hardy perfumes on me. My favorite perfume from Christian Audigier is his debut perfume (his namesake), that is big bottle worthy, but the little bottles of the Ed Hardy perfumes are nice too. :0)

I lucked out and got a free sample of this at Shoppers drug mart, and omg does it ever smell amazing on me. I won't buy perfume until I've tested it on myself and worn it for a few days (because it can smell amazing in a bottle an amazing on someone else, and be the worst thing to exist on your skin) but I will be buying this one asap! I've used my little sample bottle for a few days now and I'm already scared of running out. The mango and apple really mix well together on my skin, and the scent made me want to bite my arm (not really but you get it). Wishing I would have found this sooner! If I remember too I'll update this once I purchase a bottle for myself!

I received a sample of this perfume and couldn't stop smelling my wrists, I HAD to have it and now I actually have 2 huge bottles. I can see the similarities to Sjp Nyc and it kind of smells like Escada's Ocean Lounge...I guess because all 3 share the strawberry note. However, Escada's OL has a fizzy strawberry champagne smell and Sjp Nyc has a stronger strawberry note, Ed hardy has strawberry and some more fruits and is sugary sweeeeet and very fruity, like candy. I absolutely love it! I wish it lasted longer and was stronger which is why I have 2 bottles so I can spray myself as much as I want. Definitely a new favorite in my stash!

hint: one of the things my ex comes back to me and tells me is "you smelled amazing your scent drove me nuts"(in a good way) and that was 3 yrs ago and he still remembers it! The queen of sweet and fresh fruity floral perfumes. My hot date kind of perfume - I don't wear it casually as I wanna link it only to sexy or exciting memories lol. Not a huge fan of the rest of Ed Hardy's perfumes but this one is such good quality. Lasts hours on me and smells like a garden in paradise would smell like. Youthful, feminine, intoxicating.

I blind bought this fragrance because I’ve been loving Y2K scents lately so nostalgic! Ok so this reminds me of a Victoria’s Secret body spray. Fruity, apple, mango, remind me of 2008/2009 where everyone was messy. But like in the best way possible. I do like it but I feel like I like the original one more, maybe. First time testing so will come back to update but for the price for summer it’s cute! I do like it it’s nice easy grab for summer not too overpowering. Good for out of the shower or the beach

I found this fragrance at my local Ross for $19.99. A great value for a nostalgic brand! This is totally juicy at first, then comes the hints of floral after it settles. In my opinion it is a very soft sweet feminine fragrance. I live in the south so it’s tropical year round, so this easily became my everyday fragrance. The bottle is slender & cool like a flask so it fits in my purses easily. I constantly re-spritz myself throughout the day just because so I’m not sure of the staying power. I love it!

I started wearing this perfume about two years ago, and I love it. The combination of woodsy notes and fruity notes make this a real winner. It is light and not overpowering at all. On my skin it picks the deeper woodsy notes, with a slight hint of orange and mango. I have gotten lots of compliments while wearing it. Defiantly one of my go to scents. The only flaw I find with this perfume is that it doesn't last all day, so I have respray it every 6 to 8 hours, but otherwise a great perfume.

I ADORE this perfume!!!! It is so incredibly fruity and fun!! If you love fruity scents, then this perfume is a must! It is pleasant and smells like an Escada scent, but like one which is extra delightful! Like Escada's Ibiza Hippie or something. The florals are quite subdued which is perfect for someone like me, who finds floral scents nasty. Beautiful, just a beautiful pleasant scent overall. I can't say enough good things about it. What a pleasure to wear!

This was the first perfume that i bought outside of Bath and Body Works when I was in my twenties. I bought it soley because of the artwork on the bottle. I fell in love with it and went through several bottles of it during highschool. Fast forward 15 years, im almost 40 and bought a bottle of this again along with the original Ed Hardy EDP. The nostalgia is strong! I still love the fruity, fresh, floral scent. I will never be to old for this idc.

one of my first perfumes, still one of my favourites! this one is so, SO good! it's a nice balance of fruity and tropical notes! you can really smell the apple and mango the first few minutes of putting it on, and the notes fade from top to base nicely! this one isn't overwhelming to wear either (unless you spray obviously too much!), but not too light that you can barely smell it! highly recommend this fragrance to tropical lovers :P

Update this is yummy but on me it only lasts a few hours but I do like it! It’s fresh and fruity like I said good for out of the shower or when you’re at home. Running errands, gym, etc. It’s not overpowering which I appreciate. Some fragrances can be too much literally! To me this is the perfect balance fruity, fresh, floral and most importantly let’s not forget Y2K Classy ok lol. It’s a happy fragrance.

These notes usually aren’t my favorite..And I have tried a lot of the similar scents to see how my skin responded to them with disappointment. This one has been ONE exception. The dry down is absolutely amazing and long lasting..People stop me and ask. Pleasant surprise. Inexpensive gem.

I absolutely love this scent! It's different, fun, fruity-amazing! The problem is 30 minutes after I put it on you can't smell it anymore! Maybe it's my body chemistry. Very disappointed when it's one of the best scents I've ever smelled! ;-(

A classic, nostalgic fragrance from the 2000s. It was a signature scent at the time and I can still smell it on some older, un touched clothes. I've kept the bottle since it was so iconic The amber and apple blossom notes really come through

My signature scent - other reviews slate it for being 'too young' or 'too fruity' but I find this is just sweet enough without being overdone. It's a pleasant surprise for someone once they get close to you, it doesn't overpower your space.

My mom passed me down her bottle since I was just a wee kiddo when this released. It's smell remained fantastic however, very intense but not in an overwhelming sense. I've since run out of it however, used it all up in highschool!

This fruiy sweet scent only reminds me of very special moments. like Valentine's day and monthaversaries. My boyfriend loves it. Everytime i wear it he compliments and yesterrday he said 'you smell sexy' Its a super win. <3 <3

This is hands down my favorite scent. It's totally me! I first got a roller of this for Christmas as a gift and loved it so much I wore it everyday for a month. My new mission is to find a WHOLE bottle now!

This perfume at the moment is a go-to. It was a little expensive but it's Ed Hardy so I can't say much about it haha. But seriously love this perfume its very amazing and I 100% recommend to others

Usually perfumes with heavy mango smells like an old sock from the gym on me but this is so beautiful!! Doesn't last long on skin but lasts awhile on clothing. Love this!

Just a nice sweet berryish fragrance on me with no sillage or lasting power. I sprayed it on 1 hour ago and can barely smell it at all anymore. Not a keeper...

Hearts and Daggers was another blind buy for me. I have the full sized 3.4 oz bottle, but I wish I had just bought a sample instead. The opening is prominently apple as expected, I do get the sense of tropical fruits that I cant put my finger on. Any fruits that I do get are more the vibe of a cocktail, the idea of a tropical drink. Near the end of this perfume it becomes more musky. I get jasmine and other white florals and the fruitiness seems to disappear. It actually feels very unisex to me, it smells like something I've smelled on my boyfriend before. This to me is the perfect summer night scent. I could see myself wearing this to diy shows this summer. I would only recommend wearing this if you're going out somewhere around a lot of people. With friends, with your partner. Don't wear this on an uneventful day, it makes you wish you had somewhere to go, people to see, things to do. Makes you feel lonely if you're not matching the scents energy. Hearts and Daggers to me is like walking around a board walk at night with your people. Its going to one of those shitty pop up amusement parks. Its being at the top of the ferris wheel and not particularly minding if you get stuck up there for a while. You can hear everyone laughing and talking below you and everyone you're up there with is staring at the already set sun just as you are. The sky is pink and its the last day of school and you don't particularly have anything to do tomorrow. I see myself keeping this bottle for a very long time, I don't think I'll ever really find myself wearing it unless I'm going to a show or hanging out on a warm night.

I have Hearts & Daggers in a gift set along with the original Ed Hardy for women. I love the original Ed but only like H&D (although my husband prefers this scent). Part of the reason is staying power, Hearts is much lighter and only lasts 4 hours even when I layer with with the lotion. I would like my EDP's to last longer than that. I also find Hearts & Daggers to be more floral, woodsy, and musky as opposed to the creamy, sweet gourmand notes of ED Hardy. When I first apply the perfume it's very fruity (blood orange, apple, and strawberry) and strong but after a while it gets lighter, more floral and woodsy in nature. The base smells heavily of cashmere musk and what almost smells of cedar wood, although not listed. I do find this scent sweet and appropriate for any age but lacking a bit in originality. I understand the comparison to SJP NYC, as I also have that scent and their strawberry and floral notes do bare comparison. Overall I do like this scent and my husband loves it so I will keep my set. I just don't know if I'll repurchase, only time can tell. Recommended to those with a nose for fruity-floral fragrances with a wood and musk base. 7/10

This is another scent I recently purchased blind. While I don't love it as much as I do Villain, it's nice in different ways from it's older aunt. It's VERY sweet and fruity, bordering too sweet upon first spray, but if you can put up with the first 10-15 minutes of this fruity syrup, it soon begins to transform into something much more likable and tropical, at least on my skin. It becomes a tropical fruit salad, not too sweet, with light a breeze of apple blossom and jasmine. The dry down is equally as beautiful. While it remains fruity and lightly floral, the amber, benzoin and violet leaf are all very present in the dry down, and when they join the party, they round out and complete this wonderfully girly, playful summer scent. This is also one of the only ones I've purchased lately that has garnered a spontaneous complement from my husband, and that's something unusual. Overall, while not my absolute favorite in my fragrance wardrobe, I do like and will wear this once warmer weather comes to call.

The opening is SOOO sharp boozy, it almost hurt my nose and gave me A real headache to the point where i leave it on my shelf untouched for quite a long time. Till one day i had no other fragrance to wear and decided to give up and gave this another try. Soon i noticed that, i actually liked it a lot. I can't really remember how it precisely smells like, but i think i got some sweetness of fruit but not sure what fruit exactly in it. Slightly floral too. No valilla and no powdery--which is the type of fragrance i love. And the most surprising thing is it lasts like forever on my clothes. I could spray it on the morning, go to classes by running, eat spicy foods at open space, and all other sweaty activities in different environments, and it was still projecting quite good, at least making me noticed that i wear a fragrance. And even before i did the laundry the next days, i could still smell it among other dress with dirty random odor

This is my second favorite Ed Hardy fragrance, next to Love Kills Slowly. I have to laugh, when I think if a new generation of girls saying, oh, Ed Hardy, Pink Sugar, Viva La Juicy-Old Lady perfumes! They smell like my mother! Lukkyme's post was not a review of the perfume, but a flame against a brand. A badly spelled, ungrammatical flame, at that. An 'old' person should be setting a better example. I don't follow the brand, or wear the fashions, and I'm forty years away from being a teenage mall-rat. I happened to like two fragrances. :P Hearts and Daggers appeals to me because it is somewhat more complex than Ed Hardy for women. Woodsy bases work well on me, and last a long time. The fruit top notes fade quickly and reach the floral, woody notes. So, I'd say it does develop, at least on me. This would be a summer fragrance for me, day or night.

This is actually quite a nice fragrance! What's wrong with it? Absolutely nothing. On the front end, there's plum! Well...that's what I smelled most at any rate. Mango? Nah...it's fruity and fresh, but smells similarly to the "plum" in Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction. Fresh, and not at all dusky or moody (this ain't Plum Japonais), along with a little citrus. It's a vague white floral in it's heart, and dries into a soft vanillic sort of accord along with feminine wood. It's very warm in tone, and despite the packaging possibly leading to you believe, quite preppy. And, to mention Victoria's Secret again, it's worth mentioning that this smells exactly like something they'd release. It's an understandable, fruity, slightly floral with uncomplicated jasmine, and sweetly warm+sweet (but not gourmond) in the base.

Tropical with a mix of cough syrup. Had this perfume for almost two years, and I'm almost through it. When I first smelled it, it had a fruity-sweet generic combo to it. On initial spray, I got a whiff of red apple and blood orange mainly. Which is a nice combination if you adore these scents. But the more I kept using and spraying it, the more nostalgic the fragrance got to me. It was the cough syrup I used to take as a child haha I'm not sure which note may have triggered this throwback, but I'm assuming it was probably the jasmine or benzoin note. Honestly, I don't think the jasmine really works in this fruity concoction because it gives me a headache half of the time. Luckily, the scent isn't that long lasting. It's an alright mix, but may come out a little overbearing. Longevity: 4-5 hours Re-purchase: No

Fruity Y2K flashbacks! I was a MySpace emo kid back in the day (I am old af now with back pain, a divorce, and credit card debt. Ayeeee) and this was my signature back then. I remember picking up my bottle at either Belk or Macys and just tossing it in my Hot Topic bag to conserve arm space while walking around the mall. It's fruity, fun, true to the era. I recently got a bottle again to wear to the Emo Night events a friend of mine throws in my city. Perfect throw back! The mango and apple sit front and center with all the other notes just kinda coming through as "vague fruit". Great for summer! I like this one more than the OG Ed Hardy Women's EDT. I did also have that one as a youth and do have a bottle again. While very similar, this one is more playful and in general better.

I would agree with several people here: there's nothing particularly special about this one. That said, it's cheap as chips and for a fruity frag, it's really delicious. The woods give it a depth that's not common in some of the more juvenile sweet, fruity florals. Reminds me of a mango version of Miami Glo without the prominence of the musk note (don't get me wrong, the musk is there). I think the apple blossom was an interesting choice that makes this fruity concoction more...well, interesting! It's not the typical creamy jasmine but a light, slightly sharper floral. This was a repurchase for me. I received my first bottle as a gift and realized I missed a fun, fruity frag in my collection. I'll be layering this with JLO's Live to bump up the muskiness.

This starts off like a recipe for Pavlova. Sugar Meringue, Vanilla Whipped Cream, Bananas and Strawberries tossed in Lemon Juice, tart Kiwi fruit and Mango all drizzled over with Passionfruit. Now I know some of these notes aren't listed but that is what I get. You could make a Pavlova based on these notes by smell alone, no recipe required. As much as I enjoy those opening notes, dry down is a little different. Musk and a Fruity tang is all that is left, it leaves you feeling rather disappointed. It's like when you go for another slice of Pavlova and find it's all gone. This would have to be my favourite of all the Ed Hardy fragrances, I must admit I do collect them more for the bottles but was pleasantly surprised by the flavour of this one.

Initially, I was really frustrated with this scent due to its awful performance, longevity-wise. But, after leaving it undisturbed for a couple months, I was surprised to find out that it now performs way, way better. I can catch whiffs of it for a few hours after spraying it on my skin, rather than a measly 10 minutes back when I first bought it. Guess it just needs to macerate. It does not have the original metal coin design from its initial release. The new bottles have the Ed Hardy initials logo on the coin. It can still be found at Buckle. The most prominent notes on my skin are apple, mango, apple blossom, and amber, with a hint of woods. It blends together nicely and creates a lovely unique scent. Very much Jersey Shore vibes.

I got this as a gift from my mother...I would never actually buy this frag, but I must say...it is a very enjoyable super-sweet scent. The only way I could describe it: cherry Kool-Aid or a Jolly Rancher. I detect some watermelon but this is in no way a sophisticated perfume. This scent could be easily (and inexpensively) found in a mall body spray (like Victoria's Secret) with the same staying power. I have to douse myself in the stuff in order to have a sillage. After about 2 hours, I can barely detect any fragrance on my skin. Bummer. In other words: this is an ultimately forgettable scent put out by the newest trendy brand. A great buy for a teen, but not for a fragrance connoisseur.

Very fruity and sweet, with enough tartness to keep it juicy and not just sugary. I really like the mango, which is the strongest note here. The mix of fruits and just a bit of florals smells delicious. I don't care for the bottle, which is mostly all plastic cap. I also think the artwork, with its skulls and heavy tattoo suggestion, doesn't match the scent at all, being so girly and fruity, but it is a big part of the brand. Maybe the contradition was intended. I was on the fence about this at first because it is a bit of a generic fruity scent, and do I really need another? But I got it and I'm glad I did.

This is a similar vibe to my all-time nostalgic fav: Nollie by Pacsun. It's very fruity, but much sweeter and more astringent than Nollie so it's definitely not even close to dethroning her. Like most Ed Hardy Fragrances from Y2K, this is a strongly youthful scent, ultra-feminine, and lasts better on fabric than skin. I do like it, but I rarely choose it over Nollie just because Nollie is flat out nicer on the nose through the full wear. I have never really gotten any compliments on this fragrance, but the bottle sure looks cool.

I've had this one since high school, so it is a nostalgic fragrance for me. It is very fruity and floral. It's a time bomb from 2009. It is pretty basic and simple, but sometimes that's what you want. I mostly keep this around for nostalgia, but I do find myself using it sometimes. Longevity is decent on me, maybe 5-6 hours and sillage is not exactly close to skin but not arms length either. It's more like a light aura around you. If you're looking for something unique or different, this one probably isn't for you.
