Fétiche Le Santal

For me this fragrance is the embodiment of absolute comfort and intimacy, like a perfectly fitting second skin, only even more beautiful and refined. It unfolds in a very delicate, soft, and cozy way. The sandalwood here is not briny, instead, it brings a velvety woody texture with a subtle powdery nuance, making the composition warm and enveloping. Fig adds a gentle green freshness and a barely perceptible lactonic creaminess, keeping the fragrance airy and alive. All the notes intertwine into a single, beautifully harmonious accord - calm, skin-like, and incredibly alluring. This is a fragrance that doesn’t announce itself loudly, but rather whispers, creating a sense of comfort, closeness, and inner tranquility. It’s the kind of scent you want to melt into, wear for yourself, and simply enjoy. Sadly, the scent doesn’t have much longevity on my skin 🥹 I lose it pretty quickly.

This is so lovely! I just have a 2ml sample and I am testing it today and it sure is beautiful. It reminds me (sort of) of VC&A Santal Blanc but here, Louboutin has done something more milky and more wearable, I think. The sandalwood is tame, it has no pickle smell (thank goodness) and the fig is fruity and green. The creamy and milky texture is also very present without going weird or sour. It’s almost like wearing a body lotion on my skin. It feels very gentle but still perfume-y at the same time. I might have to get a full bottle at some point... Though, longevity is definitely crap 🤭 about 2 hours max and it’s gone...

This isn’t a fig fragrance, it’s more of a coconut sandalwood fragrance, and it is the best in its category. This is super sexy, I bought it for my gf, summer nights in the south of France, this is one of those perfumes that makes core memories. It’s a masterpiece in my opinion. More for the ladies than for the guys, but I’m sure some people will say unisex. As for true fig fragrances, the best in its class is for sure fico di Amalfi la Riserva, and another summer nights intimate fragrance is soie Malaquais, if your girl has these 3 in her rotation on any vacation, it will light your soul on fire

A very good interpretation of creamy white floral, fresh coconut water and sandalwoody creamy powderiness. The green note in the fragrance helps to lift the heavy bottom and balanced with the creaminess. Definitely a cool weather scent. Love it! Btw, I perceived some cumin note on my skin which is a bit bothering at the first.

i like this fragrance, though I find it overpriced. it has nice projection, maybe an arms length away. a simple creamy sandalwood, and i think the fig milk adds a lot to this scent. if i had a full sized bottle i could see myself reaching for this pretty often, maybe layering it with a vanilla lotion. its deep and rich while still being creamy. a very nice night-time (in my opinion) scent, something i would wear on a date. the fig comes off almost fresh, too, and i really really love the way everything mixes together. this scent is NOT subtle, and i'm not quite sure about longevity yet as i've just put it on. wearing this makes me feel sophisticated, like i'm the grown woman i dreamed of being when i was a little girl.

Opens along the lines of Philosykos: slightly green, waxy, a little fruity (in the dried fruit direction) and then slowly shifts towards Santal 33: a through line of violet leaf and coumarin in a sea of lactones and sandalwood. For CL, this is a restrained fragrance for a brand that aligns itself with bold, attention grabbing products. A great choice if you find Philosykos too linear or green and Santal 33 too overdone. A bad choice if you’re tired of either of those fragrances as they’ve been duped ad nauseum.

Opens up with a very milky yet watery fig almost like coconut with the greenish vibe as well that feels very refreshing , yet there’s a woody quality that gives it depth. Oddly reminds me of a coconut shampoo I’ve used before. Beautiful scent but I wish performance was a bit better

I received the discovery set today. This is the one that is best on my skin, but it definitely isn't worth the money when M&S Warmth is £12 for 50ml. I agree it's smooth, but the sillage is abysmal.

First impression. Nice sandalwood with some milky facets, a little green and a little clean. Very easy to like and the bottle doubles as a weapon. Not TSA friendly but an enjoyable sandalwood.

Just smelled it on someone else and it was a very nice creamy milky sandalwood. Would compare it to Santal Calling from Ex Nihilo but this has more fruity facets from the fig milk.

It's a nice woody, creamy fragrance but, the retail price is crazy and I can see myself getting bored of this pretty quickly

Tested this today. Straightforward sandalwood scent that you can get in a fragrance for half or a third of the price.

I don't get any milk or fig, just straight sandalwood.

I am sampling this today and I am already in love and I need a bottle. This sandalwood is creamy and recognizable as sandalwood, has no dill pickle like, say Santal 33, and is very soft and sensual. The fig leaf is pure genius. As I was riding home on the train with my nose in my wrist I sensed something fresh and green, but only now as I read the reviews below I realize it's fig leaf! My other favorite fig fragrance is Alluring Fig by Theodoros Kalotinis, and I recognize this fig leaf from that fig leaf, but here the end result is pure sensuality. Its not too crazy or twisted away from what sandalwood is either, as is Santal Austral by Matières Premières which has a strange savory edge which I love at times but mostly I find it's a thing he keeps repeating. That Vanilla Powder fragrance does the same thing and loses the vanilla in my opinion- si glad I don't own it. Similarly, Santal Austral no longer smells like sandalwood, which is ok I guess but it's disappointing given the name. So this sandalwood retains the essence of sandalwood, stays soft, dill-free and has that delightful freshness. For me it's also even better than Santal Piano and Loewe 001 Woman, even if those fragrances have a place in my heart. But this Fétiche le Santal. Is now my favorite sandalwood I do believe, and I can't wait to get a bottle- in spite of the scary cap, which I could discard I suppose...

Wow! The dry down on this fragrance is absolutely stunning and about half an hour in, it’s like walking through a grove of freshly picked fig leaves. It’s the closest I’ve come across to capturing that unique scent, and MS does it so well. Almost too well! But even this beauty has its kryptonite... it only lasts around 2 hours on me. Such a shame. The scent itself is a solid 10/10, but the fleeting longevity paired with the steep price point makes it hard to justify a full bottle. Otherwise, I truly adore this fragrance.

Fétiche Le Santal is an interesting sandalwood, It's lightly dilled. but that isn't a flaw so much as a style. There is a sense of milky sweetness too, which partly reads as santal's creaminess, ...but the rest must be attributed to that milky fig note. Overall, there is an aromatic coolness to this perfume. Don't expect much woody warmth here.

not a fragrance bro but this is my fav ever perfume. very "poised" and elegant.
