Loubiluna

I smelt this in store and I was absolutely floored at how much I enjoyed this. A very creamy and beautiful fig note. I think the fig note here is actually extremely well done so I get a bit confused when folks say they don't detect *any* fig. The fig and my favorite cardamom off the top is what hits you right away. One thing we can all agree on is the dry woody undertones this fragrance has and they're quite aggressive from that standpoint. Back when I was first introduced to it, I worse a single spray from a tester at the store. I was with my cousin's in a different city. The topic of the day afterwards became this fragrance and people mentioning they want to buy it for themselves. It's extremely potent as well. A single spray was noticeable from quite some distance away. Although this is a very woody scent, the air trail this leaves is lightly sweet, creamy, sexy and just overall impeccable (keeping in mind my bias as these are all notes I enjoy). Very classy and perfect for night time, year-round. And for some reason (maybe it's just the marketing working on me) it does remind me of the moon and laying under the stars. If you're into Eastern fragrances, give this one a try! It's expensive for sure but I will ALWAYS buy more of this. Simply mesmerizing. PS glad someone mentioned Khaliji below 😅

why does this get so much hate? it was an instant love on my skin, i get cardamom for some reason and a lot of fig, as in the ooze of fig + a bit of wood and spices. This to me is similar to BDK gris charnel but if you tone down the cardamom and amp up the fig. It's actually very intoxicating and projects heavily.

Loubiluna is beautiful. This could be a Signature scent. I don't get Unisex, this is for us ladies and I will be purchasing. I only have a sample so I am not able to give a fair review on longevity or sillage, but I will be giving you an update very soon.

if you want to smell like a fresh cucumber that rolled around in a woody champagne bath then buy this immediately. if you’re south asian, you'll know what i mean when i say the open will smell exactly like RAITA

This is such an excellent classy blend of niche perfume! Oriental and wood for cold weather and even summer (indoors) .. cardamom and tonka mainly and agarwood !

Yea it smells like santal 33 but last FOREVER and the drydown goes in a different direction. It takes the santal 33 profile to the next level. Keeper!

One of the VERY BEST Khaliji scents I’ve ever tried! Super intense and classy! Love it ❤️ the cardamom was missing from the pyramid tho!

Dry, papery woods with a very unique fig twist. Personal: 8/10 – Not something I’d normally gravitate toward, but there’s an odd draw to it that keeps it interesting. Mass appeal: 6/10 – Very dry, woody, and somewhat strange. Definitely not for everyone. Performance: 8/10 – Remarkably potent. The papyrus-cedarwood combo sticks around. Value: 5/10 – Louboutin pricing is steep for something unusual, but if you love it, you love it. Uniqueness: 9/10 – The papery dryness paired with fig and a slightly menthol like edge is pretty distinctiv, but I'm glad it exists. SCORE: 72/100 Full bottle buy? NO, it’s interesting but not something I’d reach for often. Blind buy? NO, this is definitely something you should smell first, but it's something you SHOULD smell. Recommend? YES, if you enjoy unusual woody fragrances and like fig. Date night? NO, it’s more contemplative than romantic. Office safe? MAYBE, it’s not loud but the scent profile is pretty odd. I think this is my first maybe ever but this genuinely could go either way. I have no idea how most people would read it. I've never felt stumped by a fragrance before, let alone one objectively so simple. Pros: Very unique dry woody profile, interesting fig nuance, and an unusual cooling/menthol-like edge. Very avant garde and unique. Cons: Extremely dry, somewhat strange composition, and expensive. Loubiluna is one of the stranger fragrances in the Louboutin lineup. The opening immediately comes across as extremely dry and woody, almost papery in nature. It reminds me of dry wood shavings or freshly opened books, something that leans more into texture than anything else. There’s also this faint menthol-like sensation that gives the fragrance a slight coolness, which is unexpected but oddly pleasant. Underneath that dryness, though, there’s a softer side that starts to appear as it settles. The fig note introduces a slightly creamy, fruity warmth that helps balance the dryness of the woods. It never becomes sweet in the traditional sense, but it adds just enough roundness to keep the fragrance from feeling too austere, which is what I sensed upon its opening. It felt a bit too dry and woody, until about 15 minutes in, when you started to see the fig do its job. What makes Loubiluna interesting is the tension between those two sides. On one hand, it’s very dry, woody, and almost intellectual. On the other hand, the fig and creamy undertones keep it from becoming sterile. I don’t think it’s something most people would love immediately, and I certainly didn't. In fact, my initial review/analysis of this fragrance was rather scathing, but I've grown to enjoy it more than I care to admit. It’s not my favorite in the lineup, but it’s definitely one of the more intriguing compositions. If you enjoy dry woods and slightly unconventional fragrances, this is absolutely worth smelling, even if it ends up being more of an interesting experience than something you’d wear regularly. Thank god I don't absolutely love this because the bottle is to die for and I would have bought it instantly hahaha. This is interesting, it almost has a leathery/oud aspect to it to me? I could see the BDK comparisons. Despite my fragrance obsession, I am not great with notes. This is a very woodsy fragrance though. I imagine walking in a damp foggy forest at night when I smell this. I'm not too confident I know what fig smells like but this doesn't have any sort of fruit-type aspect that I can smell. I think what I mainly smell is the papyrus. It reminds me of something very familiar, maybe a cologne one of my first boyfriends wore? It kind of grows on you. I don't know. Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself to like this somehow for the bottle...I am trash 🥲 After about an hour this really reminds me alot of a perfume from commodity. Still detectable and projecting at 7 hours.

I want to love it, but right now it's just a strong like. On my skin, the watery papyrus note is front and center whereas on my hubby's skin, the woody notes are more prominent. Also on my skin the projection and longevity seem to be around 4 hours whilst on him, it lasts way longer. I love it on his male skin tbh..it comes over like warm spicy paper..scented paper that has been slightly warmed up. It is not a strong loud scent, but more of a quiet mysterious one that makes you lean in to be sure you are smelling what you think you are smelling lol. This would be perfect for the office, business meetings, etc as it is not offensive in the least. The scent bubble sits closer to the skin, however in the open tropical air, it does waft around nicely to about an arm's distance away. I think it is very unique.

I find this one is more masculine to me. It is unisex but I would love to smell it on men more than on women. Wood and oud was never my jam, I’m really picky with them. But if you’re a woman and you can rock this fragrance, ur a badass woman because wood and oud is not for the weak. It is sexy, warm, leathery, I didn’t get any figs in here. It’s winter only since it’s really heavy on the wood, my be headache for some. The longevity is on beast mode. I like it, but i’m not gonna get the full FB.

Clean, green, milky and lightly sweet. This embodies something fresh and stunning! There's this almost sparkling effect with this one. The papyrus is what shines the most in this fragrance, and everything that surrounds it simply enhances the experience. I'm sure it's the papyrus that also makes this very reminiscent to Le Labo's Santal 33, but side by side, they are not the same. This is less green, more milky due to it's fig milk note. I'd use this for every day, maybe as a work fragrance.

A minty Tam Dao meets Philosykos wafting through a brand new leather jacket. I like it, it's interesting, but at the same time, I feel like it's being pulled in a few different directions and lacking individuality. I don't connect with the name at all. I'd say 7/10, which isn't bad, just not necessarily the most unique.

Love the bottle, heavy and unique, on the scent aspect its very very long lasting and the papyrus is very much dominant, i would describe it as spicy woody fragrance, the papyrus makes it very similar to Lelabo Santal 33 scent however this one will last much longer.

From hate to love. Im not a fan of Le Labo 33 and those perfumes are very similar. But this one os more refined, and it does change with time. You can detect this on notes. The fig note is very nice.

Here is the manual for this scent: try to smell it from +1 m distance and it will smell nicer. Do not sniff it from a short distance. Otherwise it may be overwhelmingly strong leathery scent. Do not overspray it for the same reason. It is an 'acquired smell'. It's decent. I envision a more serious, mature and accomplished gentleman in a suit wearing such scent. He wears it because he enjoys the scent, perhaps because it reminds him of the leather in his luxury car, and doesn't care what other people think of his fragrance Leather fans may enjoy it more than me. It is leaning masculine in my opinion because of the leather/papyrus, but 'boss' women could rock it as well. I didn't like the opening but I do appreciate whiffs of this scent when I let it dry down. The bottle design and the details are exquisite.

I think it's okay. There's a kind of weird note that I can't put my finger on. I might wear it occasionally, but I definitely wouldn't buy a full sized bottle.

Le Labo really should look into copyright infringement laws. Now, I love my Louboutins, and I love their Loubifunk fragrance, but this is a clear rip-off of Le Labo's Santal 33. Perfumer Christophe Raynaud ought to be spanked for this one. I sprayed Loubiluna and Santal 33 on opposite wrists and, at first, I nearly had difficulty discerning the difference between the two. The primary difference is that Santal 33 is more nuanced, more sophisticated, and Loubiluna has a cloyingly sweet and sour milkiness to it in the dry-down. Now, I like fig and I like lactonic scents, but the fig milk in this drives it completely off the rails into something that makes you want to gag. Apparently, Santal 33 + fig milk = hard pass. In five words or less: Gettin' figgy with Santal 33.

I was given a sample by my fragrance consultant to try. I applied a very conservative amount that smelled divine and turned right around and bought it. However, there was a faint leather note lingering in the background that was conflicting. As the hours passed, the fragrance transformed into powder spurts with a leather note that resembled body odor. I couldn’t wash the scent off, it was affixed to my clothes, skin, and on a relentless take over. Louboutin fragrances tend to have one note that derails a could be masterpiece. I have owned 3.

This is the strongest pickle/gherkin scent that projects like a beast. It’s like a fermented extract version of Santal 33 with the power of Thanos. It has an Elnett hairspray type of aromachemical in the base. If Santal 33 is your favourite and you want the almighty beastmode version, then you just try Loubiluna. Enormous sillage and eternal longevity.

Cloyingly sweet fig fragrance. Santal 33 is not sweet at all, weird to compare them, also it's one of the most unique perfumes, and Loubiluna is nowhere near that. Santal Blanc is slightly more similar, but Santal Blanc has more volume and depth, Gris Charnel is also a different perfume, although the soft creaminess can be comparable.

"Menthol mothball milk." Milky fig tree. A soft fruity fig scent, strongly lactonic and woody, surrounded by a conspicuous camphorous odor. Unique but nauseating until it dries down for a while. Somewhat fuzzy along the edges, like sawdust or a sprinkle of sweet spices. Moderately soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 8-10hr.

There is the pickle juice vibe going on with this and that is why the similarities to Santal 33. But it's smoother, richer. I personally can't wear it, but I would very much enjoy smelling on someone else. Also this smells absolutely, 100% nothing like BDK Gris Charnel. The fig is so green in this but very sweet and ripe in Gris charnel. So odd that people are comparing it so, but we’re all experiencing scents differently I suppose.

I love this so much I had to buy the full bottle. Only wish it wasn't so expensive. Starts off peppery and then the drydown smells like an Indian/Pakistani milky rice pudding called Kheer....spicy Kheer in a stunning bottle. This leans feminine to me and lasts for hours.

It is on the same line of S33, but it cannot be mistaken by it. I do not get an fig at all. Woods, and more woods. It projects like a beast, I wouldn't wear it in warm weather. Very nice fragrance if you are into woody ones.

Tragic seeing these reviews as the bottle is lovely and the moon totally reminds me of Sailor Moon. I wouldn't own it just for the bottle, sucks that the juice is.... but hopefully I'll be able to try it soon.

It starts very much like Santal 33 from Lelabo, but then goes more into a refined fig / wood scent. Very beautiful. I dont get the bad reviews at all.

hmm...got a tester and the first thought was that it smells exactly like a top shelf gin and tonic with a slice of cucumber in it

The only thing I get from this is the papyrus. No fig to my nose.

LOVE the bottle but papyrus makes me sick.
