One of the most approachable suedes out there. Personal: 9/10 – I love this fragrance. It’s one of my favorite suede scents ever. Smooth, powdery, musky, and elegant, with just enough darkness to feel unique. True unisex and very wearable. Mass appeal: 8/10 – Powdery suede isn’t going to please everyone, but it’s refined enough that most people will find it classy rather than strange. It’s not loud or polarizing, just a bit niche leaning. Performance: 7.5/10 – Moderate longevity and projection. It doesn’t scream, but it lasts long enough to make its presence known in a refined way, and it's far from disappointing. Value: 6.5/10 – The pricing is high, as expected from Louboutin, but the quality and distinctiveness give it more justification than many other overpriced luxury scents, especially in the suede category. Uniqueness: 8.5/10 – Suede and powder can be tricky, but this balances them with musk and wood in a way that feels truly original and elegant, in the most refined way possible for the notes. SCORE: 79/100 Full bottle buy? YES, if the budget allows. If I found one notably discounted, I'd buy it. Blind buy? NO, suede and powder can be divisive. Sample first. Recommend? YES, if you want a refined, musky suede unlike anything from mainstream designers. Date night? YES, intimate, classy, and quietly sensual, though it leans feminine. Office safe? YES, soft enough to wear professionally without overwhelming the entire meeting. Pros: Beautiful suede accord, musky refinement, smooth balance of powder and wood, elegant and unisex, classy beyond belief. If you love it, it's not outrageously priced for its uniqueness. Cons: Pricey nonetheless, moderate performance, powderiness may turn some people off. Loubiraj is the most polished, well executed, beautiful suede I've ever smelled. I don't often gravitate towards leather, unless it's softened with vanilla or spices, but this turns my head away from the sweeter, spiced, gourmand leathers towards something much more elegant - powdery, musky leather. Now, if this were done in a leathery 'second skin' kind of way that leaned slightly sweet and slightly woody, I'd find it quite boring, honestly. But there's something about this execution, in particular, that just feels right. It's sweet enough to soften the leather, and the musk doesn't exist as a second skin, rather, a gentle, classy, feminine powder that pulls a typically masculine accord, leather, into the unisex realm. It’s not loud, it’s not trying to dominate the room, and that’s what makes it special. For me, it’s one of the most beautiful suede scents I’ve ever smelled, and a personal favorite in this category. Grown. Sexy. Powerful. Signature scent worthy. Money well spent. Created from clear thought out powerful perfumers. The olfactory creation of Loubiraj brings together Pink Peppercorn, Suede, Musks and Cedar. There’s a soft spicy. Floral. Romantic musky leathery vibe to Loubiraj. For someone who adores florals and sweet fragrances for a leathery musky spicy scent to win me over, so much as to shell out the costly $300 a bottle this had to have a lasting imprint. 12+ hours of staying power. Even after a shower this scent still lingers. On skin it’s almost like NEW skin this really takes control of your identity. You become someone new when wearing Loubiraj. The unique qualities of Loubiraj are the fact nothing really smells like this. It’s almost a stand alone Pilar scent. I think this lends more on the musk and pink peppercorn at times. The woods and suede warm it up, however this at times has a underlying soapy almost Iris note. It reminds me of high end English laundry detergent. Or. Very thought out bar soap. This has so much scent to memory power behind this hefty bottle that you can kind of create your own journey. When lifting the almost easily 1 pound topper off the bottle you set free the heavy cut glass bottle to release the scent onto your skin and start the journey. Louboutin should absolutely be proud of their work for this release as it’s a stunner in every shape and form, as well as one I see working it’s way into my “signature scent” category very easily.

To my nose, and on my skin, its a sweeter Dior Homme Parfum with an airier creaminess that stays strong for over 10hrs from just a single spray and starts to become skin scent around the 12hr mark. It doesn’t end up smelling soapy nor did it turn powdery. I know iris is not listed but i’m sure there’s iris in this.. Excellent juice, magnificent bottle / presentation and the hefty cap is just so well made. Its a fair purchase for any collector.

A sweet lovely musky concoction which is definitely not something I’d expect looking at the pyramid. Don’t see anything sweet nor musky there. This does sort of remind me of JML Myrrh & Tonka as someone suggested there though there are quite a lot more to it than that. Quite a bit of a famine vibe there but I still think there’s nothing wrong for a man to wear this.

Loubiraj is simplistic and uncomplicated in composition. Pink pepper gives the opening a fresh kick then dries down to a powdery sweet musk that I find neither warm or cool. Long lasting and doesn't scream or beg for attention. Aloof, restrained, regal.

Very underrated perfume. Its sooo beautiful. Christian Louboutin knows how to do a leather/ suede perfumes well. I went out wearing this perfume and received so many compliments.

I had another review on this that I was trying to revise but it was deleted. Anyway, this grew on me. It’s not a straightforward leather. It is an extraordinarily sensual powdery buttery leather that I initially mistook for Iris but then I just heard that Iris is sometimes used to make suede accords. A thin suede leather jacket or soft gloves worn by an extremely wealthy person that cost more than your entire wardrobe for the week; their gloves and jacket are scented with an unusual sex powder that makes you follow them around but you can never fully put your finger on what it is you’re smelling because you can’t get close enough to them to really take it in. This person is genderless, the fragrance is perfectly balanced. It is a warm and comforting fragrance that sits close to the skin but envelops you in a cloud that lasts well over 18 hours. The cloud is subtle but noticeable; my husband, who rolls his eyes and laughs at my perfume collection and obsession on a daily basis, and usually runs when I try to get him to smell things, made unsolicited comments about how sexy this was when I wore it to bed a few times. It’s pretty stable in terms of its development but I wouldn’t call it linear. There is something lightly floral as it dries down, perhaps it’s the pink pepper coming back in, but it’s so seamlessly blended that I can’t even begin to guess what it is. This is one of the more unique scents in the collection—I have not smelled anything like this before. Some of the others like Loubicroc or Loubikiss or even the new ones, will remind you of something else. Nonetheless, they are all top notch. Surprising when you consider this is a designer fragrance house. Extremely well done to the point where the price is nearly justifiable if you find one that you love, especially considering the garish yet undeniably gorgeous bottles. The fragrances themselves are very understated and elegant, never in your face or loud, which is kind of exactly the opposite from what you’d expect from both the brand and the bottle. Worth a try especially when you consider how many other very expensive yet disappointing scents there are floating around out there.

A nice suede, old money and refined. It's a warmly spicy, soft-brushed suede with a masculine sensibility, but comes off as unisex to me. This is the type of scent you catch just a whiff of as your very wealthy female attorney leans down to put papers in front of your to be signed or you're on a long elevator ride up to the top floor of the tallest building in the financial district alone with a well-dressed man that doesn't scream "money" but rather "personal tailor made his suit from scratch". It's one of those scents that should be applied sparingly, left to quietly whisper wealth rather than announcing money across the room. As long as it's applied with restraint, that's very much the impression it leaves. If you were to be heavier handed, though, I think it would overwhelm and feel like you walked out of a department store after spraying seven different scents on yourself. If you smell it up close and too heavily, the curtain of the picture it's painting falls away a little easily and you start to smell the components which cheapens the image. For the three sprays I applied this morning, 8/10.

Smells elegant and luxurious. It's more of a bold and intense type of fragrance that accentuates someone's presence. I'd wear it to formal events or evenings. Definitely not a casual scent. I imagine a more experienced person wearing it. To me it's a fresh powdery scent, where cedar adds freshness and woodiness, suede adds smoothness and elegance, and pink pepper adds that extra spicy touch that makes this scent good for evenings. Not too heavy. You don't have to be scared of the leather/suede note here. Did it 'wow' me? No, but it's a solid option for special occasions. Men could pull it off as it's not sweet or floral. Love the design of bottles in this line. However, the discovery set should include atomizers. Dabbers are quite difficult to open, difficult to apply and messy to close.

As someone who also enjoys wearing masculine fragrances, this was too masculine for me. I do think this can be unisex, but not every woman can pull this off. Suede is really what stands out here. And although I do consider this to be one of the smoother leather/suede fragrances I've tried, if over sprayed can be too much. If sprayed just enough, it evokes an image of refined sensuality. If you smell this on someone, it makes you wonder who they are and what they do. This is a great composition, but do sample before opting for a full bottle!

Aromatic and woody suede. Its a decent fragrance. But I keep coming back to the price and how exorbitant it is for what you get.

This one is so spicy it doesn’t smell too leathery like Tom Ford Tuscan leather. Not my favorite

I like it overall. It's just a little heavy smelling. I still like it and will wear it casually.

Smoky powder. Dark woody backdrop dressed in a thin fuzzy suede, overlaid with dense musk that carries a smoky air and light peppery sweetness. Gets sweeter as it dries down and maybe even the faintest bit soapy. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 12hr+. More musky-powdery than anything, not especially woody or leathery but leaning dark as informed by those notes.

Opens with a spicy blast of barbershop-esque mens fragrance. You could almost be tricked into thinking there was patchouli, tuberose, rose, and amber here. After a few minutes this dizzying cocktail of scent settles and you’re left with a spicy leather doused in raspberry. This combination is not new to leather and raspberry ketone is often used to soften leather molecules and accords to make them more naturalistic. In some cases, this can go too far and go beyond the uncanny valley from natural leather to artificial leather. This is definitely not my favorite leather fragrance. It feels confused. Had they not gone the route of leather, a good deal of this formula could have been salvaged as a classic amber. I can see this played out in L’Ambre and Le Cuir from Louboutin’s more recent releases. Both id highly recommend.

My third loubi , obsessed with the bottles but only got the 3 scents I love. No sense collecting the ones that I don’t like to smell. Loubiraj is a creamy soft sweet pleasant warm scent. There must be so many more notes in here than the 3 listed. Like in all of them they only list 3 main notes. Loubiraj does not smell like suede or even much like cedar it’s a sweet subtle tonka like smell with powdery nuances , really nice almost fresh at first then settles sweet warm cozy great for winter , not in your face at all. I love it. You do not need to like leather or suede it’s not dominant at all. A hint of suede maybe ?? Only detect because it’s listed. For reference loubidoo is my favourite, young , uncomplicated strawberry rose scent. Leans childlike. Reminds me of shampoo! Second is loubifunk , a bit more mature rose patch , it’s fun and almost sour ! Bright and louder. It could be elegant but it’s more sour and sweet than anything. Smells of lotion. Loubiraj is a winter cuddle smell. To sum it up. It’s yummy 😋

Expected more. Not very luxurious smell and more like a drugstore fragrance. The bottle design is really a masterpiece and the super heavy head gives it truly luxury vibe.

Very similar to scents like Slow dance, Rose De Chine etc Strong earthy/herbal type scent very dense

Opening smells some kind of chemical/plastic. Dry down is nice, sweet woody vanilla.
