Lys Fétiche

Ooh I adore this one! A successful blind buy for me. Lys Fetiche is warm, balmy, sweet and slightly spicy. An intoxicating opening followed by a soft, sensual and addictive dry down. To my nose the main notes are Lily and Ginger, followed by Vanilla. The ylang-ylang and pepper are noticeable, but sit in the background. This is sexy, seductive and alluring. I don’t find this as strong as other offerings from this line, but it’s easy to wear. I’d personally wear this in spring, summer or autumn. I think this would really bloom in the heat and smell incredible. I can see this suiting most occasions, day or night. On me this lasted around 5-6 with a soft to moderate sillage. Totally signature scent worthy. I’ve been wearing this since it arrived days ago and have already received many compliments. I have 4 fetiche scents in my collection (Oud fetiche, La Rose, Lys Fetiche and L’amber) Lys Fetiche is currently my favourite one so far! I actually can’t get enough of this and have already have a back up bottle!

I love lily as a note, so I was excited to try Lys Fétiche. But it isn’t so much lily as it is more tuberose. It belongs in the same scent category as Carnal Flower (minus the coconut) and more similarly; Rouge Malachite. For me at least, Lys Fétiche is a screechy white but creamy-vanilla floral. It’s the ginger here which must give this acidity - it’s a wet root ginger but it presents like a crushed green flower stem. The dry-down mellows into a more powdery traditional lily but there’s still a sharp almost green sourness which I find too acidic. I wanted the creamy vanilla to butter-this-up more, but the spicy-green ginger remains too sharp for me. If you love Rough Malachite then Lys Fétiche is your next fragrance favourite.

This is a spicy ambery lily with ylang. No amber notes listed but they’re there. I need to spend more time with this but so far the sillage is trailing me. It’s only been on me for 2 hours so longevity tbd. Update: I’m selling mine. I guess lily as a note is not my thing. Byredo Casablanca Lily and Roja Dove Lily are just OK. Frassai Blondine, another lily scent was nice but doesn’t last long enough to suit me- I’m selling it on Mercari.

A shoe vase? Hmmm, I wonder if this will be similar to TF Lys/Lily
