Nuit de Noces

Christian Provenzano is the nose behind Clive Christian's C which is my favourite fragrance. So I thought I'd give Nuit de Noces a try. I couldn't find many reviews so this, as a blind buy, was a bit of a gamble. I really didn't like the initial spray very much. After a few minutes, however, I really started to like this. I'm not very good at identifying all the notes in fragrances but as it dries down I was getting a powdery almond vibe with some spiciness (musky maybe?), not sweet at all, and I couldn't detect any citrus. It reminded me of a lightly spiced cake. In the description above it says "floral, fruity gourmand". Floral and fruity are not the immediate things that spring to my mind when smelling this fragrance. I would say warm, sensual gourmand - and definitely one for cold nights I think. It lasts a good long time (several hours) but stays close to my skin - so a more intimate fragrance. All in all - not quite what I expected from the descriptions, but really quite lovely nonetheless. I like it a lot. UPDATE : I love this perfume at night when I want to feel warm and cosy. I sprayed some on my arm before going to bed last night - and over 12 hours later it's still there on my arm with a projection of half an arm's length I'd say. So more of a good performer than I implied with my first review. This a charming and very high quality fragrance.

This scent really brings its name to life. Reminiscent of a honeymoon suite with the chocolates and clean white sheets. Very beautifully blended and I love the addition of the incense that prevents it from being sickeningly sweet. Initially, I wished the scent had a stronger projection but since it's such a dense, sweet perfume, too much of it would be headache inducing. Definitely unisex. Not a safe blind buy though.

Christian Provenzano is an amazing perfumer and I love almost all of his fragrances. Nuit de Noces (Honeymoon) is a lovely choice for autumn and winter. Very warm, sweet, heavy and long-lasting. As for me main notes are musk, vanilla and brown sugar. Also I can smell coffee but it is not mentioned in the ingredients.

Intoxicating amber-incense. It’s sweet and heavy, projects well and lasts forever. It’s not for me though, as I personally prefer modern bubblegum florals, vanilla gourmands and powdery mimosas. I’d consider it suitable for women 40-50+ that likes amber fragrances.

Excellent sweet vanillic fragrance. The problem with CP fragrances is that they were soft (close to the skin). I like my fragrances to be loud and i like sillage and projection to be high. This disappointed me.
