Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera's debut fragrance is *almost* my all-time favourite celebrity release thus far in terms of the actual scent (second only to Kate Moss); it's just a shame the performance is so poor. Sillage and longevity are both severely lacking, which makes me sad because this fragrance is lovely. I received my first bottle as a gift when I was around 13 or 14 years old, so now every time I smell it it instantly takes me back to my teen years. That being said, this fragrance is extremely versatile and lends itself to all different ages. I wouldn't call it a teen scent by any means. I'm in my mid-twenties and when I saw it in a pharmacy a little while ago I had to grab it then and there. It's classy, sophisticated, multi-faceted, and just a little bit different. Despite its price point and accessibility, this fragrance manages to avoid smelling generic or sickly sweet, and also isn't cloying, which is something I've found with other celebrity releases. I sprayed this yesterday and my mum asked me what it was - she was surprised to find out it's only a 'cheapy.' She commented on how it smells like a much more expensive fragrance, which I have to agree with! There a few notes that stand out to me, some of which I don't see listed, but I detect them nonetheless: Spiced vanilla, perhaps a dash of cinnamon, and something that resembles rum, all of which give way to a sexy and sensual powdery/musky dry down. I personally think the bottle is super cute too! I get that it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like the lace pattern for something different. As mentioned, this fragrance sits extremely close to my skin and is hard for others to detect, and sadly it virtually disappears within the hour. Disappointing considering this is one of those hard-to-find fragrances that manages to capture those delicious notes of bare, warm skin without coming across as too artificial. A delicious, musky dream.

I tested this for the first time today and my, what a pretty perfume. I detect plum, peony and a drizzle of black current on a blanket of vanilla- it is a very smooth fragrance. It is yummy, but it is slightly juicy also. It is a creamy fruity floral to the point its basically gourmand. I can honestly say this is a skint scent; an intimate one at that. I would wear this if I were planning on getting intimate with a lover, it is oh so edible such a enchanting, mouth watering skin scent. It is tasty and teasing yet in a demure sensuous sort of way- it could never be cheap, even though some people are fooled into believing so, simply because of the price- I assure you, that is not true. I believe men will be very fond of this scent. Infact I believe this scent perfectly captures the scene of a woman in her boudoir and her vintage bath, pampering herself, making herself feel beautiful, waiting for her man coming home. This is why I believe it often smells of cosmetics and body lotions, this is not a bad thing you see, this is what this one is about, the process of enjoying making yourself beautiful. The bottle matches the potion inside perfectly, the lace suggests intimacy but in a seductive sensuous pretty way, there is no showiness or gaudiness with the fragrance, it is no way cheap or tacky. It is far too creamy and beautifully blended to ever be anything other than divine. Men will love this on your skin, they will devour you. I will buy this one and I will save it for intimate times. Its a bonus that it is so cheap, because it certainly does not smell cheap.

I get so annoyed with reviews sometimes. I'm no perfume expert, but it doesn't take rocket science to know that if you can't pinpoint individual notes it doesn't mean its cheap, but well done. Anyways on to the review, I remember my first time smelling this was about 4 years ago(I think) and I just started getting into perfumery, smelt it just before I got my first fragrance. I remember it smelling extremely sophisticated to me for some reason, and I would never have imagined anyone under 25 wearing it. Now, with a tad bit more experience and getting to know what notes smells like, I suddenly see it in a new light. I see it was a fresh, clean, powdery and elegeant scent! As a reviewer below mentioned, it is definately suitable for a wedding day, it just gives off that vibe. Even the bottle! For me, I smell mostly jasmine, peony, vanilla and only a touch of blackcurrant. In the background, I also get lemon for some strange reason. I see me wearing this next summer, and I can see it sitting very comfortable next to curious. On my skin, the only thing the jasmine is only very noticeable for a short while, but the peony takes over shortly and comes out the same time with vanilla. 7/10, definately suitable for when there's a function and you're not sure what to wear

I always wear a perfume, but i also make sure which perfume i wear on each day ( it depends on the weather , season,day/night) . Christina Aguilera it's definitely my loveliest spring-fall perfume at day time. It opens with a sweet dust of blackcurrants,peaches and some oranges i guess ,after a while it turns into a powdery-musky smell , all i can get on the drydown it's the milky sandalwood, which i love most. For my opinion this perfume Christina made for her OWN tastes , which is very classy and it smells expensive!And i think that she wears it too!- i'm saying this because i don't think that most of celebrities wear their own perfumes , like Beyonce , Kylie Minogue or some others, cuz' their perfumes smell good and yummy(Heat-B' is my signature) but too ordinary and sweet. , but this is a different song , different from all celebrity scents. My only complain is not the lasting power but the silage is very close , but i think this is a message - only your beloved would know how beautiful you smell :)

i absolutely LOVE the way this smells and it’s exactly what i’ve been looking for when i tried finding a more fruity floral scent type! it’s in my opinion one of the better “budget” summer scents, but that is practically the only thing i like about it since i feel pretty disappointed by the longevity of it. it rarely if ever lasts as long as i hope for when applying it. i put it on in the morning right before leaving and then it’s practically completely gone after about an hour. i live with people that are really sensitive to smells too and so far no one has complained which i can’t really tell if it’s a good or bad thing since it could both mean that it’s a very likeable scent or it means that it doesn’t smell like anything at all to people around you. really hope i’ll be able to find another perfume that smells basically the same but with better longevity and a bit more noticeable to people around you!

I just found out that this scent is being discontinued so I made sure I picked up a 75ml bottle, the largest one. It's such a pleasent scent. It's very versatile in that it can be worn by young girls and mature women. The tangerine comes through first on the initial spray, along with the exotic fruit sorbet then the light floral heart comes out and finally the soft amber and skin musk. It dries down to a soft warm 'skin scent.' It's very soft, subtle and delicate throughout. It's not a loud super projecting scent and it does stay close to the skin which would make it an excellent date night scent or even a casual office scent as it won't offend anyone or irritate anyone's sinuses. For a celebrity scent it's very good and not a typical sickeningly sweet gourmand fragrance that many popstars put out. It's warm and comforting and delightful as well as cozy! Definitely recommend it!

I've bought this perfume several times already. Out of all the Christina Aguilera perfumes I have, this might just always stay my favourite. A seductive smell that makes me feel sexy when wearing it. It's not something everyone loves, but I am a sucker for perfumes that have some vanilla in there. Update: The bottles seemed to be much better back then. I recently bought a new bottle since my previous one was running out, which was quite some years old now, and I'm surprisingly disappointed. It doesn't seem nearly as strong, and it only lasts like 2 hours max. Also the scent somehow seems different as well. What the heck happened? Update 2: I remembered that I bought this one from the same site I bought Tommy Girl, and that one was definitely a dupe. Maybe the bottle I currently have is a dupe as well? Or maybe the perfume really did change a lot from the one I bought years ago.

This is my all time favorite perfume. It reminds me of a time when I was a girl, growing up to be a woman, starting to blossom. I was beginning to feel beautiful and feminine. I started living my potential. I always felt so adult, elegant and graceful when wearing this perfume and my scent drove the boys wild ;D I walked at the train station like it was a catwalk with this perfume. This perfume symbolizes womanhood, elegance, strong will and attitude to me. It symbolizes mystical nights and deep feelings. Black lace and stay-ups. Gothic corsets. This parfume means so much to me I'll never forget all the boys it mezmerized and all the fun I had playing the femme fatale. It's bewitching. It's propably true that it doesn't stay on as long as it should but compared to it's other attributes this is nothing.

I love this perfume so much, but I want to be a perfume snob. I want to hate this! I want to yell "Celebrity fragrances? Oh no, no, it's Shalimar and Coco Chanel all the way in my backyard!" But it's simply not possible. (Not that I own any of the snobby classic scents. They're really not my thing) This is so creamy and soapy and full of goodness. The bottle fits the scent so well. It actually is very elegant despite not actually smelling very expensive. It smells very cozy as well. Like waking up in bed with your significant other's arm tightly wrapped around you. It's warm and comforting; it just makes you want to preserve the moment forever. It's definitely a great comfort scent. The opening is very fruity, but it settles into a very nice creamy vanilla-plum scent.

Christina Aguilera is hands down my all-time favourite celebrity perfume. To me it is unlike anything you expect from a celeb scent. I love everything about it - the smell, the bottle, the.. oh wait.. My only issue with this perfume is its longevity! It lasts on clothes but evaporates into thin air on my skin within an hour. There is little sillage which is so unfortunate as I want everyone (including myself) to enjoy this heavenly scent! If anyone knows of a perfume like this one, please let me know! The only perfume I have smelled any resemblance of is Hypnotic Poison, but don't take my word for it as it's only a slight resemblance!

I like her beautiful bottle and the scent.. it does smell strange, but I love it. Some seductive powdery, some fruity(I smelled something like sour blueberries) and lots of soapy jasmine. Overall scent very strange to my nose. Its not 'fragrant like perfume' but its sort of scent that I like. Somehow very similar to Manifesto by YSL except Manifesto a lot richer ans sweeter. But I like CA's a lot more as it is more versatile and last longer on my skin. The base is gorgeous vanilla and powdery, soft and linear. It help me concentrated better while working. So strange, again.

This is the only perfume in my collection that I always re-purchase and of all the many perfumes I had if I had to choose one to stick with it will be this one. Christina Aguilera is a fruity, clean, vanilla smell that actually lasts for a while, especially on clothes. It's quite distinctive from other fruity perfumes since it's not very juicy or citrusy. It is a very clean, feminine scent that in my 10+ years of buying it I never got tired of. The best part for me is that I can't really smell it on myself but I always get complimented on it.

This is probably one of my favorites. I'm a huge Aguilera fan so that was what first sparked my interest. It also brings me good memories so that makes me love it even more. I don't get fruity from this scent at all. It smells very sophisticated and not like anything I have every smelled before. Great for the cold months. It's warm and cozy. On me it will last all day. The silage isn't too powerful as people around me usually don't say anything but when I wear it I know I am wearing it.

I've been wearing this perfume for the past six years! its my all time fave and i cant find anything that comes close. IMO it's perfectly balanced- it isn't 'too much' vanilla or 'too much' fruit or floral, its spot on! my husband loves this perfume on me. its soft, sweet, delicate, sensual and sexy. i would bathe in this perfume if i could. The only complaint i have is i wish it would last longer on my skin. Other than that it's my perfect perfume. 9.5/10

I must say that it smell completely different than a years before. Its probably because of my body chemistry or- simply because I grew up. But I can enjoy it much more now. Don ́t know if they changed a formula, I can smell pineapple as a lot of people mentioned here.(A years ago it was blackcurrant)At last Christina Aguilera is a classy, feminine fruity and uncomplicated fragrance - all the time wearing but I enjoy that especially in the winter season.

I've loved this one so much when it first came out. I've used few bottles of it for sure. I still think it's her best fragrance to date, cause the other perfumes she released can't compare with this one. It was in my first year of UNI when I got the bottle, so I'll always keep those first memories of being a student connected to this scent even though I do not own this fragrance anymore. Certainly one of the best celebrity perfumes out there.

I LOVE this perfume. It reminds me of SPRING TIME. Imagine a cool late spring afternoon, those ones with a lot of light in the sky. I started to immagine to find myself sit in the garden of my countryside home relaxing and breathing all of those beautiful flowers and fruits. It's a light, gentle and sophisticated fragrance that makes you smiling and feel like no problems are going on in your life. Definitely gonna buy it!

For some reason, no matter how much I smell this, I can't get myself to like it. I want to like it enough to buy it since the bottle is GORGEOUS. But the problem is, I do like the fragrance,it just doesn't seem like something I would wear. I think this perfume is for more older people, like young adults or people in their late teens? Not sure, but I just think it would be awkward if I wore it. Pretty bottle though!

Notes in Christina perfume are very well blended and if I must single out one of them it would be plum. Plum enriched with musk which create softness, vanilla for a bit of aroma, tangerines sweetness, peony for a hint of freshness and jasmine presenting all known white flower classiness. In my opinion it is not a seductive scent, it is more like a scent for charismatic personality. Beautiful confident opportunist.

I bought this about a week ago and really like it. i was trying to figure out a way to describe it fragrantica got it spot on. Fresh, Fruity, Floral. it then sweetens up once it settles on my skin and the Vanilla come out! the problem is it doesnt last. over 1/4 of the bottle is gone already because i usually spritz up during the day. which i dont really want to be doing, but i like to smell good! :)

I absolutely adore this one. Super easy to wear, it's a simple and soft feminine fragrance. I like how it's vanilla-y yet still fresh at the same time. When I'm running out the door for a casual event and don't want to overthink it, this is the one I reach for. My only dislike is for the bottle, it looks a little cheap LOL. Anyhow, I'm on my second bottle already and will definitely repurchase!

I have reviewed before, I've been wearing this a lot lately and I just want to say that it is one of the cheapest celebrity fragrances that does smell high quality and high end. I don't get fruity from this, it is soft powdery yet creamy vanilla scent with an ever so slightly blackberry (fruity) undertone. I find this scent seductive and classy, it is demure and subtle and highly feminine.

An all-time favourite of mine! Sensual, sexy, classy, timeless, smoky and flowery... Think black velvet, mist and shadows combined with a woman with silky-soft skin, the blackest of lashes, curly hair and kissable lips lying on a bed in her lace underwear with her high-heels on. If you want to smell like a desirable WOMAN, this is it. Strongly recommended! Love to Xtina

This is my all time favorite scent. I have owned it since it came and it brings a lot of memories of different nice situations I have worn it. All the parties I went to and had blast, all the boyfriends I courted wearing it, all that dressing up in sexy goth corsets and mini-dresses with a body like a supermodel. And the make up... Some years you just never get back :D

This is my all time favorite perfume. It has the perfect balance of elegant, creamy, floral, fruity, « fresh out the shower » and sweet. Very safe blind buy if you like jasmin and vanilla with a berry twist. It’s my cheapest fragrance (but it smells very expensive) and also the one I will always repurchase. It works all year around. I hope it never gets discontinued!

This perfume is great. At first it may seem very simple, but it is very elegant. It lingers for a long time on my clothes and gives me a good feeling. The price is also reasonable. I can feel plum, grape, vanilla and peony more than other notes. It is like a bridge between nostalgia and modernism. It brings back my sweet memories. It well worth the money.

Classic and romantic. Christina Aguilera with "Back to Basics" era. I always think about this scent as "one". Like it has all this beautiful notes but it's her best perfume. Sometimes we feel every note (or almost every) and sometimes we feel all as one! So if you are looking for something romantic,floral and fruity-this one is waiting! :)

I don't find this perfume sweet. I think it's floral and powdery which are my favorite type of scents. It's very femine and chic fragrance and I think it suits a lot of different age groups, even though I don't see a teen wearing this. This is one of my favorite perfumes because it's casual yet classy. I has an average staying power.

I smelled this on somebody in town the other day and it occured to me, it does smell like a crowd pleaser fume...yet what else smells like it? I really love this scent but it fades quick and I like to make an impression, if anyone knows anything that smells at least similar to this but lasts and projects well PLEASE inbox me! Xxx

Finally found this online!! I used to get it when i lived in Sweden and couldnt find it in the States since i moved .. it's definitely my favorite perfume Ever! I love that it's sweet but not too much, i love the vanilla and subtle flowers .. i LOVE love love love it! Also it brings back a lot of good memories :)

To me this is one of the best fragrances out there, and way better than most celeb-perfumes. it is so unique and special. I get so many compliments when i wear this beauty, it's a must have. sexy bottle too, and it lasts on my skin forever - i have to change clothes and take a shower, unlike other celeb-smells

To me,this is seductive,powdery and slightly sexy. I feel like this would be absolutely perfect for a date night. It's dark and sultry. It reminds me of like a grown up version of Japanese cherry blossom by bath and body works. I really enjoy it. Lasts pretty well on my skin and clothes too

It might just be my favourite celebrity perfume, along with Ariana's Cloud - very feminine, just enough of sweetness, a touch of fresh fruits and delicate flowers. I might be bias due to this being one of my first perfumes, but since its launch in 2007 I still love it 14 years later.

This smells really good, light, soft and delicate but sophisticated and fresh! I feel like it smells like Enchanting by celine dion which is now being discontinued, I love enchanting so much because it's very very nice and Christina's fragrance reminds me so much of it.

It's a mature woman's sweet fragrance. The packaging is lovely and graceful as well as the scent it quite seductive. It's not too sweet and at the end , you can smell a little powdery scent. However, someone needs to sit quite close to you to smell this beautiful one.

Yes , i agree too that it is very weak- so bad because this perfume is my favourite ! I already bought a back up bottle , i don't wanna run out this juice !! It just simply the best , amazing, but again they should improve more with the sillage and lasting power ....

lots of peach at first but then it smells like a fresh fruity shampoo! gentle, clean and fresh scent. soft floral vanilla dry down. it dissipates quickly thou, about an hour later i cannot detect it. more lasting power needed! other than that it is quite likable!

At least it made me feel that way. The most important thing about parfumes is how they make you feel. This parfume made me feel so beautiful and desired -especially combined with some good music, right clothes and make-up. It smells mysterious.

One of my favourites! A really seductive fragrance, perfect for all occasions. This can't be offensive so you can use it during day and even in spring or summer. I think it is a must-have! This will be my next signature ;)

One of my fave original celebrity perfumes, very simple vanilla musk, i don't recognise any of the smells above like fruits etc however i love vanilla so very happy with this and a repeat buy for me as its cheap!

for the price, i think its a great fragrance. the bottle design is cute, especially the bow. nothing to complain about with the way it performs. i would recommend the perfume to a friend.

Tender, intimate and romantic, this is Christina Aguilera's best perfume and one of the best celebrity fragrances I've come across. It smells so luxurious and elegant.
