Eau de Cologne Fraîcheur Musc Blanc

Fresh, white with almost metalic chalky powder in the drydown. I have to try it again. I stumbled upon 4 colgnes from this house in the local discount shop, one or those delightful cluttered almost Alibaba caverns where you get stuck in the aisles if you have a big handbag. You never know what you might find there or when will you get out, but they have a great choice of incense and candles and mostly stuff that you will never need. So, there was this Musc Blanc, Frangipanier, Fleur d'Oranger and Ylang-Ylang that I took home with me. I'm enjoying that simple ylang very much these last few days. None of them smelled cheap or synthetic. Later I found out that they are made of 97% natural ingredients. This white musk is less suffocating than most of the musk, it's bright with citrus opening, and then fairly abstract flowers. Somewhat traditional, but not boring and it doesn't makes me think of air fresheners or fabric softeners. It's better than majority of musk based perfumes I tried in the last 20 years. Niche included. Don't expect miracles with longevity or complexity, these are simple colognes, but they are really well done. Even if you end up using them on your laundry, drapes and curtains, 6-8 € for 250 ml is still cheap.
