2 PM

Reminds me of rosemary crackers with a non-edible freshness. It's not a bad smell but it smells too much like rosemary crackers for me to class this is a stereotypical perfume

Cinnamon Projects was founded by Andrew Cinnamon and Charlie Stackhouse; for those who may be wondering, none of their current perfume accords offer a fragrance with a cinnamon note. It is worth noting that Cinnamon Projects' main activity regarding fragrance is creating high quality incense; although they have released a few perfume accords so far. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of 2 PM in a swap, and if I could describe it in one phrase it would be "comforting without being pretentious". It reminds me of hiking through the woods on a crisp, bright morning, but also of returning to a log cabin or cottage to warm up by the fireplace. It is not too loud, but its presence is definitely felt; the vetiver is slightly sweet, but not in a gourmand type of way. On my skin, the patchouli lends some depth without overpowering the vetiver. These two notes have blended well together in 2 PM; this is warming up by the fireplace in the log cabin. The cypress and pepper leave a trail of your adventures hiking through the woods. Personally, I think of 2 PM as being unisex, but I can see where some women may feel that it is too masculine; I think women who enjoy woody and/or earthy fragrances will appreciate this one though. Now to talk about pricing: Pricing is currently set at $60.00 for a 9 ml roll on; at this time, they do not offer larger bottles or atomizer bottles, but the 9 ml roll on is pure perfume oil. Because of this and because the quality is obvious, I would say that the asking price is generous. Although I would most definitely prefer a large bottle of 2 PM, I'm sure that would also entail the fragrance being diluted. Either way, I plan on owning 2 PM at some point, regardless if it is in a roll on or a large, atomizer bottle.

I've been making my way through the five 'hour' scents from this collection, and this is the third one I've tried. It's extremely lovely. It's vetiver and patchouli done right. It's subtle, smooth, and handsome. Despite the "handsome" descriptor, I do read this as a truly unisex scent. I do get the cypress too—not so much pepper. Mild-to-medium sillage. It also feels like an incredibly versatile scent: day/night, any season, formal or informal. Like the other scents, they all smell high-quality and I'd also say they'd be worth the $60 price tag.
