Lemonilla

Oh my goodness!!! I'm so happy that I've found CJ Scents. I blind bought a few 15 ml bottles and I also bought a sample pack and every single EDP I've smelled from this house has way exceeded my expectations. This Lemonilla is so bright. It smells like the taste of Krusteaz lemon bars. And it's got some decent projection too for a lemon vanilla scent n this is from testing it with a dabber. If you haven't tried anything from this house, I highly suggest it. She really knows what she's doing. 😁

Lemon scents can be really tricky – anyone who loves lemon gourmands knows this. They're either super fresh but disappear too quickly, or they end up smelling artificial. But Lemonilla by CJ is spot on! It’s got that perfect balance, leaning more towards lemon than vanilla, which I love. I bought it blind because I saw people comparing it to Roca's Lemon Cloud. While it’s not quite as delicate as Roca's, it’s still just as enjoyable in its own way. I'm really happy with this indie find!

Delicious - a very realistic lemon pound cake scent complete with icing and powdered sugar. Sweet, simple, and linear. A great option for gourmand lovers!

This smells like lemon sugar cookies and I'm here for it. Absolutely delicious!

Lemonheads in a perfume lol that's what this smells like. This is one of the best pure lemon scents I've smelled. It doesn't resemble cleaner fluid at all, like some other lemon perfumes can. It's very strong. When I first got it, I was so excited. I opened the package & sprayed it in the elevator ( I was alone lol ). Upon first spray, it filled up the elevator and I could smell it from my arm without bringing it to my face. After about 30 minutes, it calmed down a little, but it remained beast mode for a remaining 3-4 hrs (without layering). Not much cake/cookie/gourmand in this tbh, just purely lemon. I think it'd be good to layer with another strong gourmand. UPDATE: It will STAIN you. Be mindful of this and do NOT spray it on clothing. I have an orange-yellow stain on my wrist from where I sprayed it hours earlier.

Loved the opening but it becomes a savory cilantro cold dish on my skin. I often get this with scents with coriander, but that isn’t listed here. While it was wet, it was a beautiful bright and zesty lemon-lime. Big pass :(

Wow this perfume smells delicious. I’m typically not a gourmand lover, but this is really lovely. Every time I wear it I get an intense craving for lemon pound cake or for a frosted lemonade from Chik fil a lol. It’s sweet, but not too sweet. The first 30 seconds you get a strong concentrated lemon. Then the lemon mellows and the vanilla begins to develop. I love that the lemon is present from beginning to end. I was searching for a fragrance similar to the cake beauty hair products. Lemonilla is almost identical to them in the dry down. I get a similar vibe to the opening of Lira, but Lemonilla is much more wearable in the heat since it doesn’t have any of the spices. I also compared it to Akro Bake, and bake is much sweeter, a bit woodsy, heavier on the vanilla, the lemon is only present in the opening. Theodoros lemon tart is more buttery and bright compared to Lemonilla. Lemon tart is like a lemon custard on top of a buttery pie crust. The lemon starts off bright but mellows out. It’s there midway and fades away by the drydown, leaving a vanilla body lotion scent. It made me realize how creamy and fluffy Lemonilla is. Lemonilla has the best projection and longevity compared to bake and lemon tart, and the most Lemon. I got about 6 hours before it became a skin scent. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a lemon pound cake scent.

From this one I get a cake or biscuit or graham cracker with some lemon. I am a gourmand lover and think it is lovely. However, because of its being such a sweet edible, it is a little too desserty for me. I don't think I could handle it on myself all day. But is a very good literal translation of a lemon dessert. I never thought I would say this, but I have found something here that is too sweet and gives me a slight headache. Darn. I really wanted to love this. I suspect that it would be very much appreciated by many other gourmand lovers, though. ,

I guess I’m not wowed like everyone else. Edit- I’m liking this more when I layer it with Chiffon, giving it a little more oomph. I do appreciate indie perfume houses. And she gave me a sample of Pumpkin Spice for fall.
