Coco Confess

I'm glad this C collection is finally on Fragrantica because I've had my eye on it for a while and I'm actually quite impressed with it considering its from Claire's. I've tested most of them in store but Coco Confess is the only one I've bought so far, so I'll review the others when I inevitably get them. Despite the confusing name (like seriously why is it called COCO Confess if coconut or cocoa aren't even listed as notes?), this pleasantly surprised me. Its a dense, moist cupcake with a big swirl of frosting on top. Its not like a thick buttercream frosting, its more like a pink frosting thats grainy from bits of sugar. I do get a slight hint of coconut too but maybe thats just the name having a placebo effect. Its not that complicated, but its a 148ml body mist for €15 so its pretty good value to be honest. It lasts as long as you would expect a body mist to last but the bottle is soft yet durable and it has a sturdy cap so its pretty portable. Plus I have to admit the juice carton-esque bottle with the little charm is adorable. I've liked the other parts of the collection so far but this one stood out to me the most, its a fuzzy sugary gourmand done right. I'm definitely eyeing Juice Pop, Salted Caramel and Cloudberry Fizz next. I'd give these a shot if you like fruity or gourmand scents and you can easily sample them in store so yeah.

A BBW Strawberry Pound Cake x Burberry Her Elixir that I didn't care for. Starts off with a big blast of Burberry Her Elixir DNA (which I should mention, that I hate), and settles into a less saccharine and cloying version of BBW Strawberry Pound Cake, which is actually fairly enjoyable....if not for the fact that this just does. Not. Last. You will have to douse yourself in this for moderate performance, and at a regularly priced £12 bottle, you can get things that perform better for the price. If you're a Burberry Her Elixir fan who doesn't mind needing to overspray, this may be a fun little scent to try for you with a strawberry cupcake twist to a beloved and familiar perfume. But for me personally? I did not care for this, at all. The cakey scent that is personally winning me currently is Victoria's Secret Velvet Petals Daydream.
